Okay Cat Stan idea but it’s during the period of time where Ford is holding Stan’s car and Carla’s there.

HOWEVER

Someone new strolls into town Jimmy Snakes.

Now idk if you know Jimmy Snakes, but he’s a deleted character who was a supposed to be like a guy from Stan’s past and was going to be a rival for Stan.

Many people use Jimmy as some sort of ex Stan and well you go with that but in this idea I’m aiming for the he’s a guy from Stan’s past who was hired to track Stanley back down and take back to a gang.

Or maybe Jimmy’s the gang leader himself (of a motorcycle gang) and knows Stan isn’t dead.

Now the reason I bring up Jimmy is because he was said to be like an off brand Ghostrider. And guess what Ghostrider can do? SEE INTO SOULS!!

So for this idea Jimmy comes into town, coming to locate Stan and immediately sees into Nikola’s soul and makes the connection that cat is Stan.

He goes up to Ford trying to claim that the cat that Ford found is his cat, and thanks Ford for taking care of his “cat” and would like if he could return it to him.

Stan is internally being like: NO FORD DO NOT LET THIS GUY TAKE ME— HES NOT A GOOD GUY

And Ford doesn’t want to give up Nikola.

So Jimmy is forced to stay in Gravity falls and forced to do shenanigans to try to kidnap Stan.

That's a super fun idea!

I know of Jimmy snakes, as a concept more than anything, and although I do enjoy reading bitter exes Stan and Jimmy, I personally won't right it. Just because I don't write it in general, romantic relationships confuse me.

Jimmy rolls into town, looking for Stan, for nefarious reasons. Maybe Stan made a deal and dipped, not realizing how serious it was? And technically owes his soul to be bound in off brand ghostrider servitude? Or he's actually low on the list of criminals Jimmy's hunting, but he saw the name and recognized it? Or he was supposed to die, and Jimmy did instead and cheated death by becoming ghostrider knock off, and is hunting him down to make it even?

Whatever the reason, it's not good and Stan wants no part of it. He thought he was safe because of the curse, but because of Jimmy's ghost eyes he can see Stan's soul under all the cat stuff. Jimmy doesn't want to get this weird knock of Stan involved, so he tries convincing Ford that Stan's actually his cat.

Ford doesn't believe a word of it, because he both loves his cat, and can see that his cat wants nothing to do with Jimmy. Even if Jimmy was telling the truth, he was obviously a terrible owner.

Cue shenanigans as Jimmy tries to separate them, and it becomes increasingly obvious that Stan is glued to Fords shoulders. Now Jimmy has to try and play nice with the guy to get close, or break into his house and kidnap Stan directly.

Ford hates this guy who keeps trying to talk with him. Jimmy low key then high key becomes miffed he can't charm knock off Stan, and now he's just trying to get Ford to like him on any level. He's forgotten about Stan almost, except that Stan is always there, hissing at him and ruining his and Fords chances to become buds. Stan can't figure out what Jimmy's deal is, because Jimmy doesn't know what he's doing either.

CUT FOR BRAND NEW SPOILERS (7/25)

DID THEY JUST CASUALLY DROP THE NAME OF BILL'S HOMEWORLD?? It lines up with other 'euclid' mentions in the book, like the 'Euclidian Massacre' of which Bill is said to be the only survivor!! Some people say its his mom's name, but I'm doubtful because "Euclydia" follows the same pattern as "Exwhylia" in J3, and why would Time Baby call it "The Euclidian Massacre" after just one person? Additionally the context of the Morse being played during Weirdmageddon music... I'm like 99% it's his homeworld/home dimension's name. The counter argument is a line of code reading "HIS DIMENSION NOW DECEASED SCALENE AND EUCLID REST IN PIECE."

Dipper and Pacifica from u/DingDonSecretary's Gravity Falls x One Piece AU.

To give a little context about this AU: Dipper, Mabel, Wendy and Pacifica ended up in the One Piece world and joined the Straw Hat Pirates. And here we have Dipper and Pacifica after the two-year timeskip.

NOW AVAILABLE: MABEL THE GLITTER KNIGHT 5" FIGURE

Super proud to say we had an intrinsic role in designing the Mabel Glitter Knight figure. The r/GravityFalls discord server was polled personally for Mabel's choice of helmet and sweater, and this is the result!

I also wrote the product bio at Studio Bad Egg's request, which may well be one of my proudest moments!

Just when all seems lost with the reappearance of Bipper, Mabel dons her finest steed - and races to the rescue! (While making silly little oink noises and pretending to gallop. Possession is no reason to lose your sense of humor.) The Glitter Knight comes adorned in her favorite glow-in-dark sweater, helmet and braces, lighting the path to safety across time and space. This 5” figure was designed by Kyri45, with consultation from the r/GravityFalls Discord server and Alex Hirsch.

Long story short, this figure is one of my favourite bits of Gravity Falls merch ever. and I hope you'll be joining me in pledging for it!

Irrespective of any debate on whether or not such a follow-up should even happen, if there were to someday be a sequel series to Gravity Falls of some kind, what if Mabel were to be its central protagonist while Dipper took on the supporting deuteragonist role that she originally had? Could you see that working somehow, giving Mabel the central arc and a new overarching mystery to be invested in just as Dipper had in the original series, or not really? This is something I've pondered for awhile now that I've thought about asking a broader audience (such as say, r/gravityfalls), but figured that it'd likely just get sidetracked by either Mabel-Critics or naysayers shooting down any notion of a sequel series to being with.

Interesting question. I think a Mabel focused spin off or sequel would be interesting. Plus, I think it would fit in pretty well with the other Disney TVA shows with protagonists like her personality type. The question really would have to come down to what would the plot and overall goal of the series be?

Maybe it could be a series about Mabel and Ford having adventures or us seeing more into her day to day life. Maybe even a mystery or big goal that only really she can take on. It would be fun especially given the crew may try to explore more in depth ideas with her besides just the usual Mabel tropes and personality type mainstream fans assume she's about; romance plots and boy crazy episodes.

That's something I've said already I feel Disney seems to find itself stuck in with Mabel, in that all we've seen from her post GF in Disney Channel projects not canonical to the main show, is Mabel trying to get a date. The Call Me Mabel song was about that and her dedicated Chibiverse episode was about that.

Now, of course, these are non canon and more Disney projects than Gravity Falls which probably rely on core character traits rather than expanded lore and while they are still great fun and I enjoyed them a lot, if Mabel is the be the main character for a show, I would want us to see more to her than just that so that the average viewer realizes she is more than just a catchphrase machine that likes boys. That's something Alex Hirsch has said he always wanted Mabel to be seen as and it's sad to me when people just devolve her down to that.

Of course, the show had its issues with that and it's something many do still debate and discuss. I wouldn't know 100% where such an idea would go and how it would be tackled, but I think whatever it is, Alex would need to approach it differently to how he did with GF. I have faith he could do right with Mabel given she's a character he wouldn't ever wanna butcher, but he needs a team that understands her in ways that perhaps he may not as well get.

IIRC, when Matt Braly was working on Amphibia, his 4 person writing team had 3 women on it, as he felt that was necessary for a show where the main human characters are 3 high school girls. We all know that Gravity Falls infamously had issues with that type of development regarding characters like Wendy. And even Pacifica, who Matt Braly was a huge factor in for her season 2 development, did not get all the way to the end given the series' direction. I think Matt learned that off GF and made sure the same issues didn't arise on Amphibia, and similarly Dana Terrace given how fast but well done Amity's development in TOH was. It's still something I love both those shows for.

So, for a show where Mabel is the main character, I think a similar approach would be needed so that Mabel has the absolute best possible team writing her out to be the best she can be. A team that is like her and gets her in a way that even the show's creator may not.

That or just get Ariel Hirsch to be the main writer given she is basically THE Mabel, lol.

I saw this post on r/GravityFalls where this mother was explaining that she was worried about how much her daughter liked Bill and everyone in the comments was assuring her that it was nothing to worry about because even if he seems scary, he is still a kid's show villain and he matches the aesthic of the show, etc. But Tumblr has ruined me, so I was like, no, your daughter is just a Billford shipper. The problem isn't Bill himself but her love of yaoi. But I remained strong and didn't write that in the Reddit comment section even though it would be funny asf. I'm looking out for you, girl. Your mom doesn't need to know all that.

When the Book of Bill came out, there was a trend on the r/GravityFalls discord server where people would change their pfps to their OCs being possessed by Bill!

Of course, as someone who shook his hand back in 2016, he's been possessing me on and off ever since, so it was only fitting that I jumped on the bandwagon.

I saw it not too long ago, and while I was annoyed I wasn't as annoyed as I would've been otherwise because they also called Stan morally gray. So at least they're being consistent this time.

While it's been a couple days or so since I looked at it, the REASON for calling him "morally gray" annoyed me more than anything else. Back when I saw it, the reason was "how he treated Fiddleford". Like guys. How you act while being actively manipulated and abused isn't really indicative of you as a person or your morality. Ford definitely should've been nicer to Fiddleford and did mess up big time, but you really can't erase Bill from the situation. Considering he was manipulating, isolating, and abusing Ford.

(Fiddleford isn't actually mentioned in the original post, but I feel like once again people are forgetting he erased Ford's memories without his consent and also made murderbots.)

But the point is, how you act under duress is not indicative of who you are as a person or how moral you are. People frequently make bad choices and act poorly while under duress. It doesn't make them bad people or morally gray.

If you want to talk about Ford being morally gray, at least bring up the mind control tie lol. The show outright acknowledges how morally questionable that is.

Something that confuses and disgusts me about Spindlehorse is how POSSESSIVE they apparently are of some of their animators…specifically the screenshots of viv asking people not to hire anyone working on her projects, and the studio talking shit about other animated projects like far fetched and Lackadaisy….b/c literally how we get more wonderful animation is when creators mentor and support the people on their staff!!!

Imagine if Orman had told other companies not to hire Pendleton Ward or JG Quintel. We wouldn’t have adventure time, which means we wouldn’t have Steven universe, or over the garden wall, or OK, KO!, or GRAVITY FALLS!!

And because we wouldn’t have gotten THOSE shows we also wouldn’t have got Craig of the Creek, The Owl House, Amphibia, Infinity Train, and more!!!

I hope that those screenshots of Viv asking other higher ups not to hire Spindlehorse employees and stuff are older, and I hope that she’s changed…but I doubt it.

I wonder what other opportunities she’s taken from her animators out of pettiness, jealousy, and spite???

(In particular, I specifically hope that Ashley Nichol’s show succeeds and does well. She, Michael, and Ed did so much for Viv’s shows, and she seems to resent them so so much for it and I can’t understand why? I try to give everyone as much benefit of the doubt as I can, but when I see ALL the people she used to be associated with and then burned??? Michael, Ashley, Erin, Kyra, and who knows who else…I just don’t understand)

Absolutely. There's zero excuse for a creator going behind their employees' backs and asking other creators not to hire them, especially when freelance animators frequently have to juggle multiple jobs to make ends meet.

You want to keep as many of your employees as possible, Viv? Pay them the wage we all know goddamn well you can afford.
