percy doing better than annabeth in college is one my favorite developments in the rrverse. if we reflect on percy and annabeth's academic upbringing. annabeth living at camp allowed her to receive accommodations for her adhd and dyslexia and surround herself with like-minded campers who had the same limitations. whereas percy was ridiculed, belittled, and routinely humiliated because of his adhd and dyslexia. even more so, percy's friends and family leave him out of the loop on so many important issue (no chb orientation film, no information about the great prophecy) which perpetuates his subpar confidence and self-esteem in his skills as a student and a demigod. but going to college at NRU changes his mindset because he receives the accommodations he should have gotten years ago and fucking thrives to the point of getting higher grades than annabeth — a person he deems way smarter and more prepared than him in every way. the most important thing percy is learning now is that a supportive environment makes all the difference, and he is more capable than he initially thought.

Crying in the club because I was just reminded of Clarisse La Rue and how she has one of the most heartbreaking stories in the PJO series. We meet her as the stereotypical bully character, but by book two we already start to see that her entire persona is just a flimsy mask to cover up how scared she really is. She’s surrounded by people, but by the end of the day, she feels completely alone, desperately trying to prove herself to a God who treats her like she's nothing. We get a glimpse of her true character when Chris Rodriguez returns, but it's only when she's holding the broken body of her only real friend that we fully see how exhausted she truly is. Her entire journey is realizing she’s worthy of love without having to fight for it and that she doesn’t need to hurt others to get noticed. She’s a messy character, but I love her so much.

one night, percy slipped out of his cabin, unable to sleep because of nightmares. he was planning to go to the lake when he noticed a hunched figure sitting by apollo's cabin. as he approached, percy realized it was will.

will cried in percy's arms that night, telling him how tired he was. tired of being the head healer, tired of being in charge of the cabin. he just wished he had big brothers again. and percy realized how early will had lost his big brothers, through percy's own fault. how early will had basically lost almost all of his siblings.

percy: no, we should go to the ship first, then to the base, then back to the ship

annabeth: um, no? that will take unnecessary time. we need to get supplies from the base to bring back to the ship

percy: yeah, but we should examine the ship and talk to the crew first to see if we need additional resources, because there’s a storm coming now. and if we do need stuff that we don't know about now and we do your idea, we'll have to go to the base, then the ship, then back to the base, then back to the ship.

annabeth: but i already know what we need, so you’re wrong

percy: no, you don’t, because you’re not a sea expert like me and the crew. so you’re wrong

annabeth, glaring at him:

Nico should get to know that 13-14 year old Percy purposefully took responsibilty of a prophecy that was belived to end in death, just so it would not fall on Nico.

He should be told that. Perhaps it may make him lose some of his resentment.

nico knowing this about percy would have changed things for them in, hopefully, the best way. would love to read a fanfic or something bc i've needed this for years

your two favorite things were your boyfriend and getting your hair played with. what topped both of those was when it was your boyfriend who was playing with your hair. it was comforting especially after the long day you had today ultimately leaving you in tears as percy wrapped you up in his arms and brought you back to his cabin to relax. your tears soaked through his shirt, one by one they fell. he runs a hand through your hair slowly, the other rubbing your back up and down in an attempt to calm you from your depression filled state. you missed your brother. he had gone away with his boyfriend for the winter and wouldn’t be back until the summer

and although you still had percy with you— you couldn’t help but wish your brother would be here too. you take in a deep breath, savoring the salty ocean water sent that came from your boyfriend. you would find in later years when you marry that you’d never get sick of it

“I don’t want to feel like this anymore” you mutter into his skin. percy kisses the top of your head, then places another to your forehead

“I know, angel” he replies gently, in a hushed tone reserved for only your ears. the thought of your special treatment brings a slight smile to your lips, you suppose percy feels it because you can feel him smiling against your skin. for a moment you forget what had made you so sad, taking over but a lovey feeling you couldn’t shake— not ever when you were with percy. your melancholy was quickly replaced the more you laid here

“promise me you won’t leave”

“why would I do that?”

you feel more tears falling from your eyes. this time it’s more happy than anything; you were in such euphoric state of happiness that you never wanted to end. percy taps on the back of your head to pull you out of his neck, you look up into his sea-green eyes, the same ones you fell in love with. he leans down and presses a soft, slow kiss to your lips, ultimately stopping any tears from falling furthermore.

when he pulls away any coherent thought you could’ve come up with was wiped away, but you get one thing out, “I love you”

“I love you too, angel” he kisses you again, this time more like a peck. “I promise I’ll never leave you”

you remember this moment years later when percy recites it in his wedding vows, keeping his promise to never leave you

Jason Grace can sleep anywhere. He was raised by wolves and then was taught "endurance" by the legion so he could genuinely just sleep, like anywhere. On the floor, freezing cold, burning hot, sitting down, standing up. It's more likely that he sleeps on the floor in the Argo 2 because the idea of sleeping on a bed is strange to him. He doesn't think he deserves a bed because a bed is for people and he is a soldier, but that's another post

Hey it's bullshit that nico would refuse to acknowledge Percy in SoN because of being A Big Gay and also spiting him for Bianca's death. Makes way more sense if Hera rocked up in his dreams when She realised he could fuck over her plans and went "hey if you snitch I will rock your shit. Absolutely ruin your life and Hazel's. Don't help the Greeks with Jason and don't tell Percy who he is."
