Somehow, trying to redesign Batman rogues is way more difficult than redesigning Spiderman rogues.
Somehow, they aren't inspiring many ideas for me, and much like a lot of dc content, the variations of the characters as a mainline fresh new take on everything is extremely limited in the creativity of variation to their genders and backstories that lead up to them becoming who/what they are. (Or it's left as a one-time one-off thing)
I think we could do with some more genderswaps and stuff, y'know? It would help inspire more creativity with the concepts of the characters. Give more substance to work with.
Some ideas/concepts for what I mean:
Joanna Crane, excluded from her field of research because her methods were too extreme and her research was becoming unethical and against all tules and regulations. Excluded due to being a woman in a field dominated by men within the corrupt city of Gotham.
Oswin Cobblepot, worked exceptionally hard despite her appearance to get where she is in life. Becoming powerful with an impressive influence in the underbelly of Gotham. All stemming from or origins in seeking insurance and protection for her high class club/bar after it had been wrecked one night by thugs. Ever since, she'd managed to firmly plant herself proudly in the underworld.
Arnona Wesker, always had a fascination with puppetry ever since she was little. Due to a sudden house fire when she was just a teen, she lost her collection of puppets.. well, all but 1 head. She salvaged it and kept it for later. Later never came, and her life progressed like a roller coaster of hills. At some point early in her adulthood, she started to hear a voice. It wasn't her own, and it always seemed to come from where she kept that dummy head. The dummy had become sentient.
Arlo Quinzel, talk show radio therapist and psychologist who received one too many prank calls from a bored Joker that ended in his career on the airways. He was highly influential, for better or for worse. Besides psychology, Arlo also enjoyed reading about classical theater and watching performances. An interest of his that had been forced out of him by his family, forcing him instead to go into a more "appropriate" and beneficial field of work. Safe to say, he finally got his wish to entertain through theater and the arts.. albeit twisted into something less playful.
Victoria Fries, a well-known cryogenicist who merely studied the effects of cryogenics on living things, trying to find a way to prevent the death of cells on the body when frozen. In a way, trying to slow down death and aging. Her experiments were done mostly on plants as any suggestions for small animals to help progress her research had always been denied.
Edlyn Nygma, the smartest student in all her schools growing up. She was the brightest despite her dark and dreary homelife. She worked extra hard to prove herself to her old-fashioned misogynistic father, and when that failed, she worked even harder to exceed him and escape the life she suffered through for years. After succeeding, her life hardly picked up. Being forced to work in a small publishing company that made riddle and joke books, the only place that wanted to accept her regardless of her qualifications. The years of monotony and lack of approval to her ideas finally made her crack, burning the place down after. Seeking now to challenge Gotham to prove her mind and self as something worth listening to. Becoming Gotham's anonymous "Riddler" and learning to use people's underestimations of her to her advantage.
Waylynn Jones, ..idk her story could be left alone from the original. Skin condition she was born with that disfigured her, or it was like some kind of genetic mutation that made her look more crocodilian than human, only getting worse as she grew up before finally reaching a point it wouldn't progress any further, leaving her looking big and monstrous.
Salem Kyle, his backstory can also remain pretty much the same as canon with minimal changes. Why change what works? Also I have no ideas for him tbh
Harper Dent, another than could be left the same as the main canon, just swapped around so they're a woman instead cuz we appreciate complex women 👍

Woo internet again! This means I'm back for now until I have to move again- oh Natalie again in case it wasn't clear!
It's been quite some time I'm sure you've noticed - I still havent found Sarah which is quite concerning but I walked for about two hours and I was picking up her voice on my radio so I felt like she was trapped somewhere. Thank god she doesn't have human needs anymore but as for the place I found the number it was some plate or board on the wall, oh and on the door to the door!
Though I have found more rooms! I found a laboratory of sorts and i can tell Sarah must have been here at some point because it's absolutely spotless. Like cleaned top to bottom except for the mold on the walls… well less mold more like the black goop those creatures seem to cough up.
I just found a cryo storage of… a bunch of humans? And why does this one look like someone I know... It's not Sarah... Sarah doesn't have pink hair- well it looks like my hair. Weird…Anyway here's also another number on this strange is 005.
Well besides that discovery how have you been friend?

Trapped? Oh my god, I do hope Sarah is alright. I hope you find her eventually.
A laboratory you say? Hm... that sounds quite odd.
...Humans being cryogenically frozen? Do you think there would be any information about those people in that area that happens to be nearby? If there's enough of them then surely there's some sort of documentation or organization of some point.
As for myself life has been getting better personally. Oswin is officially off of classes for the time being, and since spring is upon us Stanley and Lynne are leaving the Parable more often than in the winter so there's lots happening in the household. (They have had a hard time adjusting to Canada's winters. The Parable is always at room temperature so getting used to the temperature change constantly is like coming from the equator to the artic.)
I have also bought tickets to go to a convention in a few days from now! Me and Oswin are going to a convention where that vampire character he made me dress up as a while ago is attending so, that's something I will be participating in!

not to be too 2015, but minho collapsing to his knees in a way that screamed absolute devastation when he saw newt’s body was the saddest part of TDC bc you could see the way he was about to give up, he didn’t even have the energy to keep standing when all the adrenaline rushed out of him and the reality of the situation hit hard bc the person loved more than anyone else is dead and minho wasn’t there when he should’ve been. he left even when he saw that newt was dying and the minute he realized he shouldn’t have ... minho probably wished he was dead too; he probably hurt all over but it didn’t matter because newt was gone and he wasn’t coming the fuck back, ever, and minho’s gna have to live w that for the rest of his life, knowing that he walked away from newt for the last time w/o knowing it and he loved him he loved him he loved him he,,

Cover Girl - On this day in 2012, the Radio Times ran a cover story describing Jenna-Louise Coleman’s much-anticipated role as the Doctor’s new travelling companion. In hindsight, we all know now that Jenna’s debut at Christmas really didn’t have the longevity that the Times indicated. It seems poor ‘Victorian’ Clara was set to meet an untimely death. And, as a result, fans were forced to wait until the following March for Jenna to begin her true journey as “full-time” companion to the Doctor. But, as they say, good things do come to those who wait.

A Jenna Coleman DVD/Blu-ray library
About a year or so ago, I did a quick survey of Jenna’s film and TV work and its availability on home video. With the recent UK release of Victoria S3 and questions over whether there might be a DVD release of this week’s National Theatre Live broadcast of All My Sons, I thought I’d do an updated version. (I’m generally focusing on physical releases - I’m aware some shows unavailable on DVD or Blu-ray may well be available on streaming - though if I know about legal online availability I’ll mention it.)
A text break first as this will be a bit lengthy. (And corrections are always welcome if I goof anything here.)
Summer Holiday: As I was compiling this list I noticed that this has been added to her IMDb listing. This is dated 1998 and is the title of a play Jenna appeared in when she was about 10. An IMDb listing implies that a video has been released, but I know nothing of this. IMDb is also notorious for including dubious listings. I’ve looked around and general consensus is this video does not exist or maybe there’s a snippet someone shot from the audience and somebody decided to make an IMDb listing for it.
Emmerdale: There’s been no DVD release of Jenna’s era on Emmerdale. With about 140 episodes featuring her, it would need to be a very big box set. ITV Hub streams the show, but only recent episodes it seems. I’ve also seen a reference to BritBox but I don’t know if the 2005-2009 era is included.
Waterloo Road: Jenna was featured in Series 5, which has been released to DVD in the UK. For the rest of the world (and those who didn’t get the DVDs), the production company behind the series has made the entire series - including Jenna’s arc - officially available for free on YouTube. (Episodes are edited to remove opening and closing credits, however.) Her first episode can be found here.
Maria’s Story: Around the time she was on Waterloo, Jenna made a PSA for a an organization dedicated to addressing cruelty to children. She performed a dramatic reading of a survivor’s letter and it’s heart-wrenching. The IMDb lists her as the executive producer but I don’t know if that’s accurate. Being just a PSA it’s not on DVD anywhere, but you can view it on Youtube here. This one slipped by many fans because some of the posts don’t mention Jenna (who is uncredited in the video) and the one place she was mentioned, they misspelled her name.
Imaginary Forces: During her year in America, Jenna filmed a role in a Jacobs Ladder-esque horror short that has, as of 2019, never been released. All we have is the trailer which was posted to YouTube in I think 2010. That original post appears to no longer exist (or it didn’t show up on a search anyway), but the trailer was reposted by a fan account for one of the actors about 6 years ago. You can hear Jenna’s early attempt at an American accent and she appears on screen for about one second.
Unknown pilot episode: Jenna auditioned for a large number of TV shows during her time in America. Some of these auditions have circulated on YouTube. According to an interview she did film a pilot for a sitcom in which she played an Australian character. I’ve looked around for a few years and have not found any indication as to the title of the production or anything else. It has never been broadcast, at any rate. But it’s always possible it might turn up somewhere. Maybe in a box set alongside Imaginary Forces. LOL
Captain America: The First Avenger: The Marvel Cinematic Universe classic is obviously widely available and is undoubtedly the biggest-seller of anything on this list. I believe that, for a while, Jenna technically had the biggest box office take of any former companion because of her cameo in this movie, until Karen Gillan joined the MCU as Nebula. Natalie Dormer also has a cameo.
Titanic: The 2012 miniseries has been released to both DVD and Blu-ray worldwide. In Canada it also seems to get rebroadcast quite a lot on cable. There were several Titanic productions in 2012; this is the 4-episode one with Jenna and Perdita Weeks (and Jenna’s picture is on the DVD cover too!)
Room at the Top: The original broadcast of this two-part adaptation of the novel (previously filmed in the 1950s), originally scheduled for 2011, was delayed a year due to rights issues (ending up with it airing around the time Jenna debuted as Oswin Oswald). These same rights issues are presumably the reason behind the fact there has never been a home video release anywhere. Amazon’s streaming service apparently has it available in the UK only. The BBC website once had it available for streaming (again only in the UK) but it’s not available. No idea of its Britbox status.
Dancing on the Edge: This five-episode minseries has been released worldwide on DVD and Blu-ray, though it might be a bit hard to find now. I assume it’s on streaming somewhere. This is the one that also features Tom Hughes, though he shares no scenes with Jenna.
Doctor Who: Obviously, Jenna’s era in the series is available widely both in physical and streaming formats, though some of the spin-off work she did for the 50th such as the Five(ish) Doctors Reboot and The Ultimate Guide might be a bit harder to track down. In Canada, for example, the only way to see these was on a bonus disc in a Matt Smith Era box set. I don’t know if they’ve been put on streaming. Likewise I’ve never bothered to look to see if any of the minisodes she made (especially Clara and the TARDIS), available on the DVDs and Blu-rays, are on streaming.
Death Comes to Pemberley: Widely available on DVD and Blu-ray. However the North American release put out by PBS stresses that it’s the UK version. That implies that (much like Victoria) the US broadcast was different in some way. I’ve never seen the PBS edit so I don’t know if there is actually a difference.
Me Before You: Widely available on DVD and Blu-ray, which also feature a rare appearance of Jenna in a gag reel.
Victoria: All 3 seasons are out on DVD and Blu-ray in Europe and North America. The North American release features the ITV edit, and thus does not include the additional scenes featured in the longer PBS broadcasts (it also often omits some of the special features like commentaries in the UK release). I’m hoping that, when Victoria finishes its run, somebody will release a box set that includes the extra footage for the benefit of UK fans and for those who watched the PBS version. There are some very nice sequences featuring Jenna that are technically missing. I hear mixed messages as to whether the PBS streaming service features the Masterpiece edits or ITV.
Thunderbirds Are Go: Jenna did a guest voice in the second season premiere of the CGI remake of the Gerry Anderson classic, again doing an American accent. The season has been released on DVD in the UK and elsewhere but not in North America. As far as streaming goes, it appears to belong to Amazon.
The Cry: The miniseries has been released on DVD in the UK and Australia, but at present is not available in North America due to Sundance Now holding the streaming rights. There’s no indication as to if or when we’ll get a physical release here. My guess is probably not until Sundance Now has exclusivity for at least a year.
National Theatre Live: All My Sons: During his recent radio interview with Jenna, Graham Norton brought up the idea of All My Sons getting a DVD release. Jenna couldn’t answer, however National Theatre Live’s website states that they don’t do DVD releases and there are no NTL releases other than a documentary marking an anniversary listed on Amazon.co.uk. All My Sons would have been recorded because NTL’s website is already listing encore broadcasts for next February in the United States so it’ll probably get filed in some archive.
Inside No. 9: Jenna has a guest role in the upcoming 5th series of this comedy show. The series does get a DVD release in the UK, but not in North America where once again we’ll be restricted to seeing it on streaming (via Britbox, apparently).

STATION TO STATION
"Dance, dance, yeah ! Dance baby, shake your body..."
— Damn it ! tona Osborne tentant de suivre la route tout en changeant de station radio, quand soudain elle entendit des riffs de guitare.
L'averse se déchaînait sur le parbrise de sa petit Austin. A la fin de la chanson, l'animateur enscence le nouvel album de Mars Hunter, louant les qualités de l'artiste, le considérant même comme le fils caché de David Bowie. On parle rock à la radio nationale ! se dit Oswin, totalement bluffée par ce qu'elle venait d'entendre. Entre les tubes sans texte, ni fond et les chanson à la guimauve de nanas en mal d'amour, le monde de la musique c'était désespérément appauvri. La jeune femme accéléra malgré le danger. Il fallait annoncer la nouvelle aux gars. L'Austin pilla devant la grille du "1984", le squatte qui leur servait de salle de répétitions et de studio d'enregistrement. Une vieille bicoque que les musiciens avaient retappée, il y a cinq ans, quand ils étaient au lycée, avant de faire la connaissance d'Osborne. Une furie traversa en trombe le jardin innondé, puis s'engouffra dans la maison. Dans le salon, les gars étaient en train de décapsuler des bières, avachis sur le vieux Chesterfield, récupéré chez nana Hennelly, la grand-mère d'Alex, le guitariste.
— Les mecs, vous imaginez, le rock revient à la mode ! s'exclame la jeune femme, devant son assistance abasourdie par son apparition.
Trempée jusqu'aux os, elle se tiens raide comme un i, les yeux brillants d'espoir.
— Alors, on lâche nos jobs de merde, on arrête de végéter comme des gros loukoums et on se bouge le derche !
Oswin arracha la bouteille des mains d'Alex et engloutit la moitié cul sec. Les trois amis se regardent, dubitatifs. Puis Eivann acquièce, balançant sa tête l'air de dire : "t'as raison, faut qu'on se bouge !".
— Wild Anarchist à la une de The Frog ou de Spotlight ! Le nouveau souffle triphop-rock, made in Glasgow !
Bien sûr, ce genre musical n'a jamais cessé d'exister, au Royaume Uni. Radiohead, Keane, Muse... Et les légendes qui ne se sont jamais arrêtées depuis les années soixante- dix/quatre-vingt, comme Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd, David Bowie... ce dernier était la référence ultime d'Osborne. Mais comme elle ne cessait de le répéter :
— Vous n'en avez pas assez de buller dans les pubs et de faire des petits concerts insignifiants pour à peine cent quidams ? Alors qu'on pourrait jouer au River Sound Festival devant une foule de plus quatre cent mille enthousiasmée par notre son !!
Assez de l'image du rockeur métaleux pas lavé ou du produit commercial formaté pour adolescents prépubaires ! Ou pire, ces stars de télécrochets qui se prétendent musiciens rebels ! Osborne en avait assez de se faire rembarrer par les maisons de disque. "Vous n'êtes pas assez si, vous n'êtes pas assez mi"... Les écossais ont la classe et elle allait le prouver au monde entier en réabilitant ce rock nerveux, racé, fusionnant l'anticonformisme recherché de Bowie avec l'énergie sensuelle de Deep Purple. C'était le moment de prendre sa revenche sur tous ces abrutis qui se payaient sa tête au quotidien depuis le lycée. Chose à laquelle ses amis de dix ans de plus n'avaient pas échapés. Les piques cinglantes sur leur look vintage, à se faire traiter de tapettes, finissait par les faire déprimer. Sans parler des anciens potes, qui au pub ne se privaient pas de leur adresser un "Salut les pédales !"...
Oswin jubilait. Il était hors de question qu'elle laisse passer cette chance.
Une semaine après, Wild Anarchsit signe chez Universal, mais au bout d'un an le soufflé est retombé, trop vite sorti du four. Osborne rompait son contrat avec la maison de disque. Me demander de faire de la pop alors que j'ai horreur de ça ! Elle saturait. Alex et Eivann reprirent leur jobs merdiques. Sylass parti pour un road trip en Nouvelle Zélande, il avait besoin de prendre l'air. Osborne retourna à l'usine pour profiter de ses après midi au jardin du 1984 à dessiner des plans, en attendant de trouver un contrat de paysagiste.
Deux ans s'écoulèrent, Oswin avait besoin d'un break, elle alla rendre visite à Alex, travaillant dans le salon de thé londonnien de son oncle. Ce petit établissement avait acquis sa petite réputation. Hennelly ayant travaillé chez Ladurée pendant ses études à Paris, le jeune homme avait créé une carte sur mesure, l'adaptant aux goûts des Britanniques. Les deux amis profitaient du soleil sur la terrasse en philosophant sur la musique et leur passé de Rock stars recalées. A ce moment directeur de Domino reccords les interpella :
— Le monde de la musique stagne, aujourd'hui. Tu es une amie de Declan McKenzie ?
Osborne eut l'impression de tomber de sa chaise :
— Oui.
Elle regarda Alex, sceptique.
— Tu as une maquette sous la main ?
— On a un site web. Des échantionns de nos albums sont dessus. Les CD sont à Glasgow, je ne pensais plus...
Elle ne pu finir sa phrase, pensant que sa chance lui filait encore une fois entre les doigts. L'homme se leva et lui tendit sa carte.
— Passe me voir demain matin.
— Pourquoi nous ? Pourquoi maintenant ?
— Je t'ai entendue parler de l'expo David Bowie au St Paul's Gallery. J'ai entendu dire que tu étais sa fan numéro 1. Il vient de sortir son dernier album. Beaucoup d'artistes en place s'inspirent de son travail, mais ça ne vole pas haut. Je veux du sang neuf, je suis prêt à prendre le risque. Declan me parle souvent de votre groupe. Vous devrier faire le soundtrack de sa série. Ton site je l'ai vu, ça décape. Je pensais que tu aurais peut-être un nouvel album sous le coude, mais on fera sans maquette. Passe demain.
Le directeur de Domino Records sera la main des deux comparse, puis s'en alla. Oswin ne voulait pas s'enthousiasmer, mais la recontre était magique.
— J'espère que tu as une bonne bouteille de whisky en stock !

i’m honestly so amazed that someone like kim namjoon could exist ... hoseok said in his recent vlive that namjoon is 2 or 3 times busier than all the other members, even during “off camera” time like bts is right now. i know that joon’s expected to do a lot -- he writes lyrics, has a huge hand in song/album composition, works on personal projects (like mono. or singles), collabs w other artists, plans out comebacks, works on group concepts, practice for high profile events like the UN speech, the list goes on -- but it always hits me when one of the members mentions exactly what that means for his schedule 😭 😭
not only does he excel in music, but he also excels in writing, in dance, in the creation of the group’s image . when bts was bighit’s only active group & the reigns were handed off to joon, hes really the one who pushed for a lot of concepts that they’re known for . ex -- most (if not all) of BST was influenced by his books of choice, his taste in literature. the end product definitely isn’t all him, but he’s kickstarted so much for the group and just. wow
imagining him carrying the weight of bts on his shoulders in addition to the pressure of the world is unbelievable ... yet he still tries his best to connect & share his feelings w his fans on fancafe, explaining the things hes been learning about himself/music/life/literature all while downplaying his achievements. he consistently tries to hide the work he does by saying it’s not much, “sometimes i just read webtoons for 8hrs instead of working on music” or “i’m such a lazy person & i should be trying to change that abt myself��� etc, but he’s so strong and so many people don’t realize how much he does.hes only 24 yrs old!!!!!he has been leading this group since he was a teenager!!!!! look how much he has done 😭 and we all have the same 24hrs every day as he does
he doesnt talk abt his injuries, always looks so composed on camera, delivers speeches w/o stuttering or using filler words in a language that he doesn’t even speak on a daily basis, doesnt allow himself to break down on camera, nvr seems to show visible anger or annoyance when he has to mediate tense situations (even between members) etc etc . hes so hard on himself sometimes and i wish i could take that away but acknowledging all hes done, i think, is Enough. there are better people who can worry about him , who can actually take care of him, so i just stand back and admire the kind of person namjoons grown to be over the yrs ... thank U baby for always giving us ur best 😭 😭
