💙 do you have any siblings?
I do! I'm the oldest. I have 2 younger brothers and 2 younger sisters. I also have two in laws because my brothers are both married.
💜 describe yourself in five words or less!
nerdy teacher
🎤 have you been to a concert
I have! Only a few though: Garth Brooks, Ed Sheeran, Jonas Brothers. My parents bought us all Rascal Flatts tickets for July 4th so I'm gonna go to that one.
🍐 if you could make one character real, who would it be
This is so hard! Cause I would love to make my Crimson Ties version of Tony Stark real or my The Librarian & The Wolverine version of Logan real
🔍 what character do you enjoy writing for the most
Tony Stark. But Logan Howlett is tied with him right now.
THANKS FOR SENDING THESE IN!

Omg, also a TS fan since debut and I massively took a step back from her personally prior to the reputation era because of her antics and victim complex. The music will always mean so so much to me, her lyrics mean so much to me, but her actions as a person and TS™️ as an entity is just weird and greedy. I think she accrued a lot of fans when she disappeared for a while who've completely constructed a narrative in their heads of who she is and they believe it and are eating up this current era, but those who've been here a long time know how PR and image driven it is. Exhausting.
I apologize in advance I have been having way too many feelings about this whole situation and how it relates to my identity as a 28 year old woman and you are about to get an oversharing novel in response lol
Also, I guess CW: this post is about Taylor Swift and if anyone sends me any kind of hate or whatnot related to my own personal opinions and feelings I will be deleting it because I am NOT playing that game.
My Aunt bought me the Debut album CD at a concert after seeing her open for Rascal Flatts. She was like "I thought that you would like her!" and she was RIGHT Taylor Swift became my entire personality. One of my FAVORITE core memories as a child was the day Fearless came out. For some reason we didn't have school, and my Mom and I watched Taylor on the Ellen show, and then we went to Target and bought the physical CD, we then drove around town so we could listen to it together. My mom hasn't been well and that is one of my favorite memories of us together. It's silly but when you're in middle school that kind of thing is important to you. Then in high school I actually got MADE FUN OF for wearing Taylor merch and being excited about Red. BUT I loved her music and felt like she actually stood for something, so I brushed it off and continued to be a HUGE Swiftie. I had the Taylor Swift dolls, I had the perfumes, I had the LOVE LOVE LOVE bracelet, I had the sundresses from WALMART. I saw her on the Fearless and 1989 tours, I had the fucking 1989 haircut. I was supposed to go to Loverfest.
I was still a HUGE Swiftie during the post 1989-pre Reputation eras, then the Reputation era. I'm a few years younger than her, but I felt like I could relate to the kind of manic panic that she was sharing with us (lol turns out I was just unmedicated and we're doing much better now). It felt (in my probably naive mind) like she was experiencing the same insecurities that I was and reacting accordingly. Was she playing the victim at times? Oh 100% BUT I also fully believe that she thought she was one. (Plus... Kim is my least favorite Kardashian lol)
I LOVED the Lover era even as it was shit on at the for the sunshine rainbow hyper colorful aesthetic. Like, I don't know if new fans realize but when Lover was released? It was NOT as beloved as it is now. Then Folklore and Evermore were absolute genius, it felt like Taylor had grown up, and she got all of these new fans, which was great! She was in an "adult" relationship and her music and publicity choices seemed to reflect that. It was so refreshing to see a celebrity keeping their personal life, personal, and sharing what they wanted to share through music. Midnights broke all kinds of records, again, amazing! Even if it wasn't as strong as say Folklore. I fought for my life and got Eras Tour tickets (opening weekend!!) I had the BEST TIME EVER.
Taylor has always been extremely calculated with her public image. She was over exposed during The 1989 era and the public turned on her, so I truly cannot figure out why she is doing it again 100x in this new era of whatever the fuck this is. I don't know her, maybe she is legitimately happy, or maybe this is a cry for help. But I have been so grossed out by her behavior lately, and how in your face everything is with Kelce. It's no secret that I hate Kelce (and people that know me IRL know that it's not a new Taylor related thing lol) and if she actually loves him, fine, that's great for her, BUT we don't need to see it! Yes she was public when she was dating Calvin but ALSO she was what 25-26? She's a 34 year old woman now with the biggest platform of any celebrity ever. She feels too old (and this is not me age shaming her because I would be grossed out if my friends were doing it, and I would be embarrassed if *I* were to ever do it) to be licking a man's face in public like this. This feels like sorority girl in her first college relationship (I was *in* a sorority for a hot second so this isn't hate on sorority girls either!) and not record breaking Grammy award winning artist. ALSO I feel like she used to come across as so articulate and well spoken? Controversial opinion but I thought she sounded like a fucking idiot in that Time Person of the Year piece.
I think that this whole thing is PR for something, but because it just feels too icky to be real, but I don't know what it's PR for, (trying to bury the Matty situation from May? Because if so that just makes me even more sad for him or trying to get back at Joe? Which if that's the case, I feel bad for him too and she's even more immature than I thought) and now, for the first time, AFTER SIXTEEN YEARS I'm embarrassed to be a fan of her, both because of her own actions and also the actions of her fanbase as a whole.
It feels really weird, and I know I'm being parasocial about it, but when the times got bad I always had her music to fall back on and now I just, I don't know it feels cheapened somehow because the current image that's being crafted doesn't match the one that we originally fell for. And you know what, people change, she's a celebrity, I don't know her, what she does DOES NOT affect me any way, and how I feel does not AFFECT HER in the slightest, and I know it's being parasocial but I feel like a big part of me is in mourning about it. Less because of her changing her image so drastically, and more so because I feel like I'm mourning the loss of childhood and joy that used to be associated with her music for me and I think that's what's making me the most sad.
I have Eras tour tickets for one of the London dates this summer. I'm probably going to still go, because I paid for them, and I also have tickets to see Noah Kahan that same week in London (... and also the Longines tour has ALSO decided that the London stop is that week...) But I don't consider myself a "big fan" anymore. Maybe I will be one day again, but this current image that she's putting out just isn't it for me.
Sorry for the longest Taylor related novel in existence, I have had a lot of bottled up feelings about this that feel ridiculous typing out and sharing out loud BUT I know I will feel better sending them into the interwebs and your ask was the perfect catalyst.
Thank you so much for sending this in and for your continued support! I hope you continue to enjoy my fics and my secret sports hot takes 😂

omg omg tell me more!
Okay, so…
I grew up in the Connecticut suburbs, not far from the casinos. And my sister and I were huge fans of TS’s debut album. We would insist on my parents playing it in the car and belt out the sassiest rendition of Picture to Burn you ever did hear. So, when we found out she was playing as opening act for Rascal Flatts (my parents are die hard country music fans so yes, I knew who Rascal Flatts was at age 7), we begged our parents to get tickets. We called and called, and eventually we lucked out.
About a week before the concert, we went to our local Walmart and bought TS shirts, and when the time of the concert came we showed up in cowgirl boots/ hats and our new shirts. Little did we know how much this would pay off.
So, we get to the venue early, and we see that there’s a raffle going on to get backstage tickets to meet TS, so we get in line to enter because we have time to kill. Over the speaker, they announce there’ll be two more tickets for backstage chosen in the raffle because a couple who won them over the radio couldn’t make it to the venue/ show. Well, one of the guys running the raffle sees my sister and I decked out in our country Taylor Swift getups, and walks up, pulls us aside with our parents, and asks
“How would you like to meet Taylor Swift?”
My sister and I (I am 7, she is 9), are speechless, and just squeak out “yes!”, while my parents are incredibly skeptical that this man is messing with us. Still, they follow as he leads us backstage. When we get to the room where TS is, they’re not allowed in, and they deadass almost don’t let us go, thinking this guy is trying to kidnap us. But the door cracks open as the previous raffle winner walks out and they see TS is genuinely in there, so they let us go in.
It’s all kind of a blur. She hugged us and took the picture attached in my previous post. She was very nice and very tall. My sister, who is also named Taylor, informed her that her name was also Taylor and TS was like “NO WAY! That’s so cool”.
Then they let us go and pick out the next raffle winner after our time was up, and my sister PULLED OUT HER OWN NAME from when we had entered. It was too funny.
So yeah. Then it was about time to get our seats and that was that. TS was amazing, and we left halfway through Rascal Flatts cause the sound was way too loud and not mixed well with the vocals and they kind of sucked. TS was so energetic and commanded the stage though, and did a badass rendition of Should’ve Said No while dramatically playing a giant steel drum that I’ll never forget because that song was my SHIT when I was 7.
And that’s the saga of how I met Taylor Swift when she was opening act and only had one album out! My sister and I have been Swifties from the very begging, and now she’s going to the Eras Tour this month!

Sound ordinance is like the law that permits how loud and how long events can go on for in cities. It’s why some places don’t allow fireworks after a certain time, or in this case concerts can’t go past certain times. The artists can always apply for extensions but there’s also rules about unions and how long the workers have to be there to put the set up/take it down.
It’s why Taylor got to open for Rascal Flatts when she was staring out, cause the opening act took too long to finish his set and it made Rascal Flats have to pay money for being over the curfew and they ended up firing the opening act lmao
i mean, but as long as they get the permit and pay the extra fee what is the problem? i don't think taylor's tour production company is hurting for money or can't take those extra fees into consideration when making their budget and pricing the tickets, so as long as they're getting the right permits the set can be that long and isn't actually *illegal*

flower crown: when did you last sing to yourself? - I think a few hours ago lol
fairy lights: if a crystal ball could tell you the truth about anything, what would you want to know? - how does it everything work out in the end
daisies: what is the greatest accomplishment of your life? - i don't really have one yet
1975: what is the first happy memory that comes to mind, recent or otherwise? - When I was 8, my family and I were driving home from the christmas eve service. It was snowing big fluffy snowflakes and i was in a sparkly dress in the backseat. rascal flatts was playing 'god bless the broken road' on the radio and we were all sitting in this really nice content silence.
matte: if you knew that in one year you would die suddenly, would you change anything about the way you are now living? - I think I'd try to do more, go out more, experience more, write more.
black nail polish: do you have a bucket list? if so, what are the top three things? - Write a novel(s) / write successful novels - Fall in love - finally go to a taylor swift concert lol
pantone: describe a person close to your life in detail. - My mom is someone I super close to. She has these vibrant blue eyes that literally carry an ocean of good things. She has a warm soul and she always uses her energy to lift other people up or just to hold their hand when life is rocky.
moodboard: do you feel you had a happy childhood? - Yes
stars: when did you last cry in front of another person? - I don't remember. A while ago I think. Maybe like last september-ish and I only remember that because my job did a really not cool thing to me and I cried when I told my mom and then cried when I told my best friend lol
plants: pick a person to stargaze with you and explain why you picked them. - My mom because we could talk about life while stargazing.
converse: would you ever have a deep conversation with a stranger and open up to them? - maybe. if i felt super comfortable with them and it was the right time for it, then probably.
lace: when was your last 3am conversation with someone, and who were they to you? - I don't know, actually. Probably not since high school or roughly around then bc i'm always asleep by 10 pm lol. it was probably with one of my friends.
handwriting: if you were about to die, and you could only say one more sentence to one person, what would you say and to whom? - I'd probably tell my mom thank you for everything she's done and had to sacrifice for me/our family, and i'd tell her i loved her.
cactus: what is your opinion on brown eyes? - Beautiful! Bright! Lovely! God tier! Wow!
sunrise: pick a quote and describe what it means to you personally. - "I couldn't get the boy to kill me but I wore his jacket for the longest time" by Richard Siken. First of all, this quote makes me like !!!!! just exclamation marks!!!! I think I just love the poetry and the subtext in this quote, because it's kind of like being haunted by this boy was in itself its own kind of death. So like yeah you didn't kill me, but you haunt me instead.
oil paints: what would you title the autobiography of your life so far? - What The Hell Is This: a memoir by me
overalls: what would you do with one billion dollars? - Buy a house and move to a different city, invest a lot of it, buy a car, buy another cat, send money to charity, quit my job.
combat boots: are you a very forgiving person? do you like being this way? - I'm a forgiving person when I feel like someone is worth forgiving, which I kind of don't like about myself because I don't know if that's necessarily the right thing. I don't like that I feel like people have to earn forgiveness, but if I'm hurt by someone or someone has hurt someone I love, I tend to hold grudges and I will especially hold grudges if the hurt or offense is never addressed. But if someone were to apologize and I felt like they were sincere and they gave me a good explanation for the actions, I'm definitely forgiving then.
winged eyeliner: write a hundred word letter to your twelve year old self. - n/a
pastel: would you describe yourself as more punk or pastel? - pastel
tattoos: how do you feel about tattoos and piercings? explain. - I don't mind some tattoos and piercings, but I don't like tons of piercings and I definitely don't like tattoo sleeves or anything like that lol. You do you, but I could never lol.
piercings: do you wear a lot of makeup? why/why not? - Generally, yeah. It depends on my mood that day. Sometimes I'll wear a full face, other times I'll do bare minimum or nothing at all. Makeup makes me feel nice and it can really make your features pop.
bands: talk about a song/band/lyric that has affected your life in some way. - Taylor Swift baby. Taylor has been such an inspiration to me as a writer and a human being. I think she sees the world very vividly and very romantically, and I love that about her. I love that she's kind-natured, even when the world tries to put a masochistic spin on her, she's simply just good. I love her honestly and vulnerability in her story-telling, and I love the work-ethic and careful creativity that's in her work. On a more personal note, her music feels like contentment and joy, and sometimes nostalgia. I started listening to her music in the fifth/sixth grade but I remember when Speak Now came out and at that time I was starting to get into writing and I could really see that she was a writer too so I clung to her, and then Red was released while my dad was fighting cancer and that album was just something I really pressed into as a means of comfort and escape and I'm so glad that I had her music lean on.
messy bun: the world is listening. pick one sentence you would tell them. - *mind goes blank*
cry baby: list the concerts you have been to and talk about how they make you feel. - I haven't actually been to a concert that's really impacted me meaningfully because I've never gone to anyone I legitimately wanted to see lol. When I was 10, I went to a Jonas Brothers concert with my sister who was a bigger fan of them than I was and I do remember it being a good time. Then when I was 15, my best friend took me to marianas trench because our other friend baled so she had a spare ticket. It was a really good show and it actually made me get into their music more than I had been before which was awesome.
grunge: who in the world would you most like to receive a letter from and what would you want it to say? - I would love it if taylor swift wrote me a letter and I honestly wouldn't care what she wrote in it as long as it was something nice lol
space: do you have a desk/workspace and how is it organised/not organised? - I used to have a work space in my room but I moved the desk upstairs to our office. Now I just write in my room and that for me looks like a made up bed, a nightstand with a candle, and a vanilla-scented lamp to create a warm cozy atmosphere.
white bed sheets: what is your night time routine? - I usually write in the evening and then maybe I'll watch youtube or I'll listen to music or scroll through tiktok lol. Then I put on my pj's, skincare routine, brush teeth, and I go to bed (where I end up reading for half the night but whatevs)
old books: what’s one thing you don’t want your parents to know? - I'm pretty open with my mom so I don't think there's anything she doesn't know about me lol.
beaches: if you had to dye your hair how would you dye/style it and why? - I wouldn't mind dying my tips pink or blue just because I think that's a universally cute look. As for styling it, probably what I do now, maybe curl it a little more.
eyes: pick five people to go on an excursion with you. who would you pick and where would you go/what would you do? - I don't think I even know five people (that i'm close to) yikes
11:11: name three wishes and why you wish for them. - I wish for success, because I always feel like a failure or inadequate in someway - I wish to fall in love, because I'd like to know it at least once - I wish to be able to write again in a way that makes me happy, because I feel like I keep disappointing myself and I just want that creative freedom again
painting: what is the best halloween costume you have ever put together? if none, make one up. - I've never done anything super creative lol but one year I dressed like a bumble bee and I loved that costume because it was a little frilly dress with wings.
lightning: what’s the worst thing you’ve ever done while drunk or high? - fun fact I've never been drunk or high
thunder: what’s one thing you would never do for one million dollars? - Anything that involves killing or spiders
storms: you can only listen to one song for the rest of your life, or only see one person for the rest of your life. which and why? - All too well by taylor swift baby
love: have you ever fallen in love? describe what it feels like to realise you’re in love. - I have not fallen in love before but I imagine it feels like contentment and coming home.
clouds: if you’re a boy, would you ever rock black nail polish? if you’re a girl, would you ever rock really really short hair? - I wouldn't do really short hair, but my favourite hair cuts on me was a short bob.
coffee: what’s your starbucks order, and who would you trust to order for you, if anyone? - Just your standard white hot chocolate, and i'd trust anyone to order it for me bc it's not that difficult lol
marble: what is the most important thing to you in your life right now? - My writing / my career I think

Remember when Taylor was just an opener and I went to Rascal Flatts to see her with friends who were going to see them. Remember when my boyfriend broke my heart (who is now my husband and that breakup was definitely meant to be and helped me grow as an individual) and I cried and cried and listened to @taylorswift’s debut album on repeat?
I remember. & I remember all the albums after and every single tour that I was blessed enough to go see and every lyric that somehow was exactly what I needed.
Damn girl. Our friendship goes back a loooong time 😏🥰❤️😘
Love you!
Feeling sappy as I do the dishes, looking out the window watching my kids play outside with said husband while listening to Stay Beautiful.
Ps. My hubby has gone to every tour of yours with me ❤️❤️❤️ Obviously not when you opened for Rascal Flatts 😏 but all the rest of them, starting with Fearless and ending with the future Lover concert that we have tickets for 🥰

Lover Fest
For all the people complaining about not having more information:
I understand it’s somewhat frustrating BUT
1. Taylor has NEVER given a lackluster performance or cheated her fans out of seeing an AMAZING show so there’s no way we won’t get a 2 hour set.
-Even when she opened for Rascal Flatts the first time I saw her, she killed it!!!
2. I know she’s calling it a festival but I honestly think that’s just the asthetic/vibe she’s going for. Maybe there will be more festival like booths, but based off the time and the seating it’s gonna be like a regular concert.
3. People are freaking out about the “and friends”. Taylor normally has two opening acts for her concerts who are her friends. If I recall correctly, she didn’t announce Charlie XCX & Camila until AFTER Rep Tour tickets went on sale so this isn’t unusual. She’s a big enough artist that she doesn’t need to list the guest acts for more people to buy tickets. Also, would you really not go if you didn’t like one of the opening acts? It’s actually helpful she hasn’t announced them yet because we didn’t have to deal with stans for other artists taking tickets away from swifties. WE COULD ALSO GET SOME REALLY COOL GUESTS!!!
My main point is if you have tickets GET EXCITED!!! Don’t be mad at @taylorswift for the lack of information because you know one thing for sure you are gonna see Taylor perform an AMAZING show!! Everything else is bonus and a surprise until she announces it. It’ll be even more exciting (than it already is to see Taylor live in concert) to find out more info. If you’re a true fan you know she’s only gonna give us the best!
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk!

Dear Taylor,
When I was just 9 years old I heard Tim McGraw I enjoyed it, but for some reason my little heart enjoyed Teardrops on my guitar even more. I sang it in the talent show and I was always singing it in the car with the radio. Luckily I had grown up on country with my parents and they got tickets for a Rascal Flatts concert in Cincinnati, with (guess who!) you opening. I remember my dad took me and even though I have a rocky relationship with my dad, my best memories with him are him taking me to Taylor Swift concerts. We got there a little late and missed any chance to be pulled from the crowd to meet her. Fearless tour my dad took me again to see her in Cincinnati (the last time you came there). I got super close when you sang 15 on the guitar in the crowd and that was the closest I would get to you for four eras. I got to see you in Indy for RED and Louisville for 1989. RED was a great time for me, I was 16 and with my childhood best friend. When I went to 1989 I dragged my boyfriend with me, he wasn’t a huge fan at the time. But seeing you live changed him for the good ❤️ I can’t imagine going to a concert to see you without him! But what really changed me was the rep era. I was now in college and when rep dropped I was so happy. I didn’t understand how much I would need it until a few months later when my grandfather died and a week later one of my best friends just decided we weren’t friends anymore. I relied on your album for months. I counted down until Chicago when I would get to see you for the first time in exactly 3 years to the day. Again my boyfriend David and I went together. And I waited patiently until I got to see you in Indy, until I made all these amazing friends and they convinced me to go to Louisville and Nashville. To this day Nashville was the best weekend of my life. I got to spend time with my favorite people, see you in your hometown show, and I got barricade. Which was an experience. I broke down sobbing on the floor just to be that close to my idol was amazing. I couldn’t imagine a better weekend in my mind tbh. I just hope someday to tell you in person how much your music has helped me through; the heartbreak, the pain of depression and anxiety, the loss, confusion of love, and the utter true happiness of love. Someday I will get to hug you and tell you all this in person and somehow that will be everything. Much love 💖💖
Your buddy,
Court 💕

I remember being 16 in 2006 and super excited because for my birthday my best friend and her family bought us all tickets to go see Rascal Flatts in concert at the fedex forum in Memphis Tennessee. I had only ever been to one concert before then when I was 11. When October 28th finally came we got ready and headed off. When got settled in and Gary Allan and @taylorswift we’re opening for Rascal Flatts.
I remember when Taylor came on stage and that was the one chance I’ve ever gotten to see her. I didn’t have a chance yet to know the songs or who she was yet since it was my first time hearing her honestly. But at one point she stopped and glanced over the crowd and said “If you make me mad, I’m going to write a song about you.” Nothing has ever been more real or hit me harder than that.
Sixteen year old me had been hurt and broke up with and all the things she sung about. Ever since that moment I felt like she knew everything I had been through. Like she was speaking directly to me. That moment I was a fan for life. I’d never take that moment back. I love how true and real you have always been.
💚

My Letter to Taylor Swift
Dear @taylorswift,
I want you to know what you mean to me. Taylor, you have been a HUGE part of my life for so long. I can’t help but tear up while writing this. I have had many groups of friends in my life but you have been the only consistent one. Your songs have gotten me through so much and helped me in SO many ways. When I started learning guitar in the 6th grade I used Our Song to help me know when my guitar was in tune and I still do this today. I have performed so many of your songs and even did an “Evolution of Taylor Swift” as my last performance in college. Your quote, “People haven’t always been there for me but music always has.” still rings true for me today.
I started listing to your songs after your debut album was released and “Time McGraw”, “Picture To Burn” and “Tear Drops On My Guitar” were your only “hit” singles. I borrowed your album from a friend and I loved it so much that I asked my parents to take me to the Rascal Flatts tour just to see you. I will always remember the first time I saw you perform live, it was one of the best days of my life.
Ever since then, I have seen you every time you tour and each time I love you more and more. Seeing you has changed from going with family and friends, to seeing you with just my mom. It is a tradition that we have and one that I hold so dear to my heart. My mom always made sure that she got tickets for us even if money was tight. That’s why I am so grateful for the Ticketmaster Verified Fan program, I am so glad that you found a way to make it easy for me and my mom to see you. On July 13th, 2015 during the “Clean” speech at the 1989 Tour, you said, “We all need to be a little nicer to ourselves.” I will never forget that you said this. I have so many memories from your concerts and each one of them holds a special place in my heart. I even still have a piece of confetti from the Red Tour that I keep in my wallet for good luck. Is that weird? I can’t wait to see the Reputation tour on July 10th. I know it is going to be amazing. (This time I bought the tickets for me and my mom!)
I have also purchased all of your albums the day they were released. Watching you and your music grow is one of the most amazing things to me. I am so happy with your evolution and I think it is a mark of a true artist when you are able to transform your music and explore new styles. I really enjoyed watching the behind the scenes videos of you making the Reputation album. It was so cool to see your creative process and it gave me a better understanding of the meaning behind the songs. I will always stand by your music because I know that it is a part of you and I love each and every one of your songs. There are times when your music is the only music I listen to for days and when people ask me what kind of music I like I just say “Taylor Swift!” Your song “Mean” is my favorite because of the message and it was released at a time in my life when I needed it the most. Even though that one is my favorite, I love all of your songs so much.
My mother and I also visited Nashville in 2016 and I had the time of my life. I loved seeing how you helped change Country music and how much Nashville loves you (almost as much as I do). We even went to The Bluebird Cafe and it was an awesome experience. Being in the place where you were discovered was such a dream come true. I loved being able to be in the town where your career got started. I fell in love with Nashville and I hope that I can move there someday.
There are so many things that I wish I could tell you, but mostly, I wanted you to know how much you have changed my life, how much your music has helped me, how your songs marked so many important parts of my life and most of all how much you mean to me. I hope one day we can meet. You have taught me so much and no matter what life throws at me, I’m gonna shake it off!
Love,
Bella
