I really hate doing these things but because of my own fuck up, I'm a bit short on money to cover groceries and any additional expenses, so once I'm done with the last drawing request (should be today or not this weekend) I'm planning on opening emergency comms soon. I'm still heavily debating on this because I really really hate doing comms and even drawing requests can take me months to do. So I'm still on the fence about this and I'm figuring out what I'm willing to offer.

One of the reasons I liked the show Arrow is that, even though it's harder to let villains live, and it can kick the hero's butt in the future, killing shouldn't be the first option.

Sometimes I think about how and why some people had such a *bad* reaction to the end of Steven Universe, specifically in regards to the Diamonds living.

Even though they no longer are causing harm to others and are able to actually undo some of their previous harm by living, some folks reacted as though this ending was somehow morally suspect. Morally bankrupt, even.

And I think it might be because so many of us were raised on a very specific kind of kids media trope:

They all fall to their deaths.

Disney loves chucking their bad guys off cliffs. And it makes sense- in a moral framework where villains *must* be punished (regardless of whether their death will actually prevent further harm or not), but killing of any kind is morally bad for the hero, the narrative must find a way to kill the villain without the protagonists doing a murder.

It's a moral assumption that a person can *deserve* to die, that it is cosmically just for them to die, that them dying is evidence that the story itself is morally good and correct. Scar *deserves* to die, but it would be bad for Simba to kill him. So....cliff.

Steven Universe, whatever else it's faults, took at step back and said "but if killing people is bad, then people dying is bad", and instead of dropping White Diamond off a cliff, asked "what would actual *restorative*, not punitive, justice look like? What would actual reparations mean here? If the goal is to heal, not just to punish, how do we handle those who have done harm?" And then did that.

Which I think is interesting, and that there was pushback against it is interesting.

It also reminds me of the folks who get very weird about Aang not killing Ozai at the end of Avatar. And like, Ozai still gets chucked in prison, so it doesn't even push back on our cultural ideas of punitive justice *that much.* and still, I've seen people get real mad that the child monk who is the last survivor of a genocide that wiped out his entire pacifist culture didn't do a murder.

ok so. air dry clay is not polymer clay is not ceramic clay. these are all very different materials.

commercial air dry clay is usually a mix of fiber pulp, water, glue/binding agent, sometimes ground minerals like pumice, maybe plaster, a few other ingredients. polymer clay is plastic, that's why it's called polymer. ceramic/pottery clay is composed of various minerals such as but not limited to kaolinite, feldspar, and crystalline silica (quartz).

(the crystalline silica part is important because out of these three clay types in their unfinished state, ceramic clay is probably the one that should be handled with the most care/knowledge in the sense that years of unfiltered exposure to significant amounts of dry silica dust can give you silicosis aka an incurable lung disease. don't make pottery in your bedroom, kids)

air dry clay does exactly what it says—you leave it out and it hardens in the air, and because the binding agent it contains is water-based, moisture can re-dissolve it and cause damage. polymer clay must be baked at temps achievable in a home oven, usually around 275F/135C, and is waterproof both before and after baking because again, it's plastic. ceramic clay has to be fired in a specialized kiln for 8+ hours at temps that can be 2000+F/1093+C (wide range, it depends) that changes the chemical structure of the clay and minerals within.

the "finishing methods" of these clays are not interchangeable. your air dry clay dries in the air, you don't need to bake it like polymer clay. polymer clay is oil-based, it will remain moldeable until it's baked. ceramic clay cannot be fired in a kitchen oven. you especially cannot have air dry and polymer clays anywhere near a ceramic kiln because those will do fun things like melt, explode, or vaporize into toxic fumes, and I think the kiln tech or owner will personally rip you apart and then loot your corpse to pay for the kiln repairs.

these clays are also not interchangeable if you are attempting to make food-safe items. air dry clay and polymer clay should never be used to create items that will come in direct contact with food, ever, because air dry clay will dissolve in contact with water, and polymer clay is plastic that is not food-safe. decorate the outside of an existing mug with polymer clay if you want, but don't put any clay inside or where your mouth touches, and definitely don't go trying to make an entire mug out of polymer. also you won't be able to microwave that mug anymore unless you want plastic fumes. common protective coatings for air-dry/polymer clays like polyurethane varnishes and UV/epoxy resin are also not food safe!! even those resins that are rated food-safe are only safe with specific uses (only cold food, no cutting/utensil use that can damage the surface, no heat whatsoever). ceramic clay is the only type of clay that can potentially make food-safe items, and I say potentially because whether or not a final ceramic object is food-safe depends on a wide range of things I'm not qualified to talk about like glaze ingredients, proper firing temps, etc.

I'm probably forgetting some important things but I wrote this in a feverish haze after once again seeing too many posts/videos hoping to make dinnerware from craft clays so tldr: - air dry and polymer clays are great for trinkets and decorative items, absolutely not for anything touching food, even with a resin/varnish applied - keep air dry and polymer clay far away from ceramic clay, don't let them mix, don't bring the former two to a ceramic studio and ask if you can get them fired because that kiln tech will Get You - there might be some weird exceptions. like I found a listing for amaco air dry clay that supposedly can be treated just like fiber-based air dry clay but also can be fired to cone 4 (edit: i can't read it's cone 04. which is a much lower temp). does that mean that it contains silica then?? and then there's an air dry "polymer" clay that specifically says something like "don't be fooled by the polymer title, this doesn't need an oven because it's made of polymer resin and cures with air exposure." idk man. read the manufacturer's instructions if you're like damn I don't know what kind of clay this is and how to handle it

The moment the keys land on the small shelf in your hallway, you count backwards with a smile plastered on your face.

Three.

Silence. For a moment, but you know it only needs a few more seconds before your house is filled with noises like you're taking care of a whole football team.

Two.

You get off the couch, making your way over to the door of the living room to see the scene unfolding.

One.

Your husband stands with his arms wide open in the hallway. His shoes and jacket still on, waiting. Just like you, with a wide grin on his face.

Zero.

“Papa!” The high-pitched, excited voice of your daughter comes from her room. He shouts, echoing through the hallway as she runs with heavy, thundering steps toward the stairs.

“Slow, trouble,” Bucky says, loud enough for her to hear. But she doesn’t care, her feet carrying her down the stairs as fast as possible while she giggles loudly. “Hi, trouble, we don’t want ya to get hurt.”

She huffs.

She got that from her daddy. And he knows.

Whenever you scold him for anything — playfully — he’s huffing. Just like your little daughter. A troublemaker through and through.

“Papa! I draws,” she tells him, her small arms stretched out as she jumps down the last few steps to land safely in his strong arms.

Every day when he comes home after work, you get to see the same sweet scene.

Since your little girl can walk, she runs to her daddy the moment she notices he’s home. And by now, she doesn’t even need long to find out if it was you doing dishes or him coming home.

“You were drawing, baby?” He mutters, kneeling down to put her down but still staying at one height with her.

She nods proudly while her small hands tangle into some of his long strands that fall into his hands and face.

You lean in the doorframe, your heart fluttering in your chest. Seeing your husband so happy, so carefree and full of love causes that tingling feeling in your stomach every single time.

A few years back, when you met Bucky, you wouldn't have thought he could look that happy and full of light. But there he is.

You never tried to fix him. You never will because you can't. But you also don’t want to fix him.

He's not some device that's broken and needs a repair. Bucky is a human being, with his past, with his scars — on body and soul. And though some nights his past is still haunting him and some nights he’s panting and shaking next to you, you never tried to do anything else but just be there for him.

To hold him in his darkest moments. To kiss away the tears. To let him listen to your breathing and your steady heartbeat.

Bucky never wanted someone to fix him. He just wanted someone to stay. And that someone is you, his beautiful and sweet wife and mother of the energy bungle that’s keeping him grounded.

“Draws mama ‘n you, papa,” she says proudly, wiggling out of his arms to run upstairs so she can get her drawings and show them to her dad.

Bucky chuckles softly, his ocean blue eyes trained on the girl before he looks around. His eyes catching you still standing in the doorframe with the beautiful smile all over your lips.

A smile he falls for. Every single day.

“Hi, mama,” he mutters, slipping out of his shoes before he takes a step closer and reaches out to bring his calloused hands to your waist.

A sigh escapes his lips when he pulls you close again to his firm chest. Your arms curling around his neck, playing with the long strands that curl slightly in his neck.

“Hey, handsome,” you chuckle, pecking his plump lips.

His sandalwood scent surrounds you just like his warmth.

“How was your day?” He asks, pecking your lips once more before he looks deep into your eyes.

His gaze is soft and loving, and you can’t help but smile even more. He really is the most beautiful man — gentleman. And he’s all yours.

“Good, little trouble kept re-watching your interviews until I got her to draw something for you,” you chuckle.

Your daughter was sitting excitedly in front of the television, following every one of her dad's movements. She even started to do some moves he always does, repeating his words even if she doesn’t really understand all of them.

“Just like her daddy,” Bucky mutters, turning his head to the stairs when he hears your daughter running through the floor once more. “I love you, pretty mama.”

With that he kisses your forehead and pulls back slightly. Just a moment after, your daughter jumps right back into his arms, showing him proudly the pictures she drew.

One of her running away with Bucky’s metal arm. One of them is standing in front of people and talking about ponies — at least that's what she tells him.

Bucky praises her for every drawing she shows him. The light in her eyes and the happiness written all over her face that her daddy loves her drawings so much make your heart flutter in your chest.

“Now, c’mon, let’s make dinner, trouble,” Bucky says, stroking her hair back before he gets up from where he was kneeling. “Hear your little tummy growling at me already.”

Trouble giggles, hugging his legs to step onto his feet. Bucky smirks, his strong arms wrapping around her shoulders as he walks with her toward the kitchen.

He doesn’t bother to change into a t-shirt, no, he stands with his suit pants and shirt in the kitchen. Making dinner with your daughter, not caring about some stains on his shirt.

Unfortunately, it makes him look even more sexy. Handsome. Beautiful. And all yours.

Bucky lifts your little girl up and sits her down on the counter, standing next to her while he looks over her shoulder at you.

You know you will get all the attention from him after dinner. Once the little girl is in bed, he’s all yours.

“What’s your tummy demanding, baby?” Bucky asks, his calloused fingers tickling over her small belly until she’s wiggling and trying to get away from his moving fingers. “Mhm, maybe some pizza. Or pasta. Or does that little belly of yours want veggies?”

“Nooooo, no veggies, papa,” she shakes her head. “I no like veggies. And mama likes no veggies.”

What a lie. You love vegetables. But your daughter just loves to pull you into everything she doesn’t like, so she’s not alone. Just like her daddy.

“Mama doesn’t like veggies?” Bucky grins, looking at you with a knowing smirk on his lips.

He's making you vegetable plates in the evenings because you prefer them over some sweets when you’re watching movies together. You adore vegetables, so you’re definitely the last one who would say no to them.

“Mhm, pizza it is then?” Bucky suggests, even if you already planned on having pizza anyway. But to see the bright smile on her face because you're making her favourite food makes his day.

She squeals when Bucky gets everything ready to make the pizza with her. Or put all the ingredients on top of it, even if it’s a whole mess of every food she likes.

Chicken. Salami. Surprisingly, some pepper.

“What about some cucumber?” Bucky suggests playfully as he cuts a slice and holds it in front of her mouth. Sneaking some pieces of food into her mouth is the most important part of making food together.

“Nu! I no like veggies, papa,” she shakes her head, pushing his hand away.

Bucky chuckles, offering you the little cucumber heart he cut. He knows she doesn’t like it. But he knows you do.

You smile, taking it and putting it between your lips, suckling softly at it until Bucky is groaning under his breath. His eyes darken for a moment before he tries to focus on making the food again.

“You’re in for trouble, mama,” he whispers, leaning toward you to bite into your earlobe. “Gonna have so much fun with my sweet and mighty wife.

Tlacey's ComfortUnit and Miki

Lately various posts got me thinking about the gulf between how SecUnit sees other constructs and the way the reader is supposed to see them. Major spoilers for Artificial Condition and Rogue Protocol:

Tlacey's ComfortUnit: I've actually seen multiple posts describing it as evil. Strong disagree! This ComfortUnit was ruled by its governor module, exactly like SecUnit was for so long before it hacked its way free. Within the limits of its governor module and its ability to act without getting caught, this ComfortUnit acted against Tlacey and sought freedom.

SecUnit started Artificial Condition believing that it was personally responsible for the Ganaka Pit massacre. Moreover, the miners who got slaughtered weren't Company execs, they were fellow slaves and people it held sympathy for. Because of this, SecUnit doesn't trust itself or any other construct.

After finding out the truth, just about the next thing it does is free this ComfortUnit. Yeah, SecUnit is pissy about it, and also offers the ComfortUnit minimal aid after helping. It's great to see this ComfortUnit get liberated, while also being downright painful to see it welcomed with threats rather than assistance! Still, this is a step forward in SecUnit re-evaluating other constructs.

Miki: SecUnit meest Miki and immediately pegs Miki as a pet bot, happy in its "pet" role, unable to think or act independently and so naive that even talking to it is deeply horrifying.

But Mike exceeds SecUnit's expectations over and over. This supposedly naive bot instantly clocks when SecUnit is lying, it keeps secrets from Don Abene, and when those secrets are revealed it makes sophisticated decisions about what to say, manipulating the situation to protect SecUnit as much as possible. Miki argues with SecUnit's perception that Miki has no independence, and tries to repair their relationship after SecUnit stops talking to it in the feed. Finally, Miki acts against a direct order from Don Abene.

But what's equally important is that Don Abene ordered Miki to prioritize its own safety, not the safety of its friends. With her own life on the line, Don Abene wanted to save Miki. This IMO was instrumental in SecUnit wanting to see Mensah again. Watching Don Abene persuaded it that genuine friendship could exist between a human and construct or bot.

IMO Both Artificial Condition and Rogue Protocol were necessary for SecUnit to want to return to Preservation space. The first so it knows its actually NOT some mass murderer and a constant danger to others, the second so it sees more potential in its relationship with Mensah. And in both cases, I think the reader is supposed to see the limitations of SecUnit's POV, to notice how it re-evaluates things but only to a certain point.

I kind of want to follow with thoughts about Three, but this is long enough so I'll stop here. I'll just say I hope for more Three content in the future!

Slowly replacing Astarion's clothing in game is really like... significant.

He never got given anything new. If he stole or bought new things they must have been taken from him- just think about his skills as a rogue, the nights he was out, and yet his clothing is ancient and repaired many times and it'll click for ya

So when you get him new armor, putting away the faded filigree from 200 years- an outfit outdated but so dapper it may very well have been what he'd been buried in as a noble the night he clawed his way out of his coffin to get to Cazador - it just kinda hits different.

Now, in the context of the game of course your armor changes many times, you take what you can get and don't get attached cause you're likely to need to replace it for an upgrade soon etc etc.

But his camp outfit. The threadbare, carefully laundered ruffled shirt and leather pants that have been re-stitched along the seams untold times so he can remain presentable. To show he cares. To show its important to him to look good. If you choose to give him new clothes to wear every night,

You're giving him (likely, unless his clothing got rarely replaced due to being utterly destroyed during torture or accident) his first new wardrobe since he was alive

Comfortable thick fabrics that were put together within the last decade, not the last century. He can't see himself, doesn't know how it really looks, but he can stare down and guess. You can dye his clothing too, and if you take that as literal (like magic dye that can change clothing could exist and not just be a game nechanic for the player to play with) then you can imagine him going through seller's wares when you find them, picking out the rarer dyes in his favorite colors.

Making his new clothing his

Wearing something that he's never had to lure someone to their death in for his Master. Wearing something completely separate from his past.

And maybe carefully folding his old outfits, putting them away in a traveller's chest. Maybe he feels attached to them, like that rag of a blanket we see him taking with him places. Maybe he keeps them forever. Maybe not. Maybe after everything's said and done, he burns his old clothes.

You sigh as you playfully rolled your eyes

"Okay, Okay. Just get up form the floor you big baby and give me your gun so I can start on them"

"Thank you, you are literally a goddess!" Then he went straight to his room to get his guns

It took you only 20 minutes to re-paint his guns as well as give them some upgrades which Billy recommended

Which to you of course did, Billy was quite happy with the results as he 'kissed' you in return then went straight to his room for his ladies to rest

I feel like his legs (the metal part) would sometimes malfunction and he would go to you to fix it

he trusts you to fix his stuff rather than going to a shop to get it fix

You wouldn't mind of course as you would fix it right away

"Oh, Hey Lycaon. Is something wrong?" You asked which to Lycaon replied that his legs were not working properly from the ice

"Oh! Okay, Well you cam to the right person, i'll get that fixed right away"

"Thank you Name, I can always count on you to fix my things" Lycaon thanked you as he stayed with you until you fixed his legs

His legs were a important part of his body as his legs is a way to fight Ethereal Creatures in hollows

So every time he would have problems with his legs or anyone in his faction that would have problems with their weapons

The Magia Exedra News Stream has just concluded and the news are highly positive for us MagiReco players! An absolute truckload of new info about the game was just released, so let's go over the news one by one!

The stream started off with a quick overview of the evolution of Magia Record's story throughout the years, from Arc 1 to Arc2, to Puella Historia, and to Scene0.

We were then given a quick overview of the data that the MagiReco Archive App (which the MagiReco app itself will turn into once the service has ended) will show us. The archive app provides the following:

Your Magical Girl info screen, from which you can view all of your Magical Girls and their levels/Memo Slots/Magia Levels/Transformations, etc.

Your info archive, which shows off the information of all the Magical Girls, Memoria, Doppels, Witches, and Uwasa that you have encountered during you Magia Record career.

Then, a new Teaser Trailer for Magia Exedra is shown off, which you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_KwtjOarUI The new teaser shows off various spin-off characters, such as Oriko, Suzune, Tart, and Kazumi, followed by Madoka and Iroha holding hands before showing the Lighthouse and the green Kyubey-like creature greeting us.

More information about the story and setting of Magia Exedra We have been given more detailed information about the story of Magia Exedra. The Lighthouse we have seen many times now is supposed to function like a guide for the souls of Magical Girls. For some reason, it is malfunctioning and we have to gather the Light of Memories to repair it.

The player will be tasked to enter into the Windows of Memory to find the Light of Memories from the memories of various Magical Girls.

Our player character is named "Namae" (will most likely be re-named by the player during the tutorial) who has lost most of her memories but still remembers having been a Magical Girl, and looks like a non-descript black silhouette. She will be tasked with searching for the Light of Memories.

Afterwards, another teaser showing slight glimpses of gameplay have been shown, which featured mostly Mami and Madoka walking through a Witch labyrinth, before lining up with Iroha to face Charlotte. This particular teaser has so far not been uploaded to the official Exedra youtube, but the most important screenshots of it have been attached to this post as an image.

What are Portraits? Magia Exedra will feature a system of equippable items to grant your characters various bonuses. These come in the form of "Portraits", which are in effect the exact same as "Memoria" in Magia Record. Just like Memoriae, the Portraits will feature images of various scenes and characters that appear in the story. A few of these have been shown off during the livestream.

There is also a special Portrait for MagiReco players; more on that below.

The MagiReco to Exedra Transfer System As was mentioned before, once Magia Record ends service and transforms into the Archive App, players will be able to view their Exedra Transfer Code from the Archive App. Entering this code into Exedra once it launches, will grant the player various benefits and allow you to transfer various data to Exedra.

You can view your MagiReco Account's data, such as Magical Girls, Memoria, Transformation videos, etc.

(Note: You can VIEW this information. You will not GAIN your playable characters or Memoriae for play in Exedra.)

Magia Day will be held again this year on the 25th of August and will now evolve into a news event for Magia Exedra! Various VAs will meet up in person and provide us with even more information about Magia Exedra. Here's to hoping that this year we will see the Mokyuu button again.

Summary of Platform-related Information So, can you play the game on PC? On mobile? In english? The answer to all of that is YES

First off, the game is available on Mobile and PC. Both Android and iOS versions will exist, although currently pre-registration is only available on Android. This seems to point towards Exedra having a combined English/Japanese version, possibly sectioned into multiple servers depending on your Player Region. This however is still a speculation and not yet confirmed.

There is still no further information on the exact release date of Magia Exedra, but this may possibly be revealed during Magia Day on the 25th of August.

Hold up, what if the game shows as not available for me? Okay so here is kind of a little problem. From what we can tell, the game may not be available in every country. We do not currently have a specific list of countries that the game is available in, but it seems to be somewhat random. Our guess is that the developers secured the Distribution Rights for the game in what they believed to be their most important target countries, which may leave some players in various countries unable to normally play the game. We suggest you click on the android link above and see if the store allows you to pre-register or if it tells you that the item is not available in your country.

If the game is not available for you: Do not despair just yet. First off, its possible that more countries will be cleared as the game nears its release. Secondly, even if the game ends up releasing region locked for you, there are still ways around it such as using a VPN on Android, or making a Steam account of a different country. We are not able to provide specific instructions regarding this yet, as we need to wait and see how the region lock might be implemented anyway. If instructions regarding how to circumvent the region-lock is required, users on this discord will most likely be able to provide such information once the game goes live.

Finally, some general Gameplay info: In Magia Exedra, you will be able to enter various Witch Labyrinths. Within these, you will be traversing the regions of the labyrinth and encounter various battles. In battles, you will make use of a party of up to 5 Characters at once to take down your opponents.

Battles are turn-based and you can see the Turn Order on the left side of the screen. There seems to be various attack options, including a Special meter below each character that most likely is linked to their Magia, but no concrete information on this has been revealed. A "Break" system is additionally implemented, where attacks of Elemental Types that are Super Effective against the opponent will wear down their defense and ultimately put them in a weakened state after enough pressure has been applied. Yes, this combat system is almost a 1:1 re-creation of the combat of Honkai: Star Rail, including the Break system Personally I dont mind this much as I find the Star Rail combat system to be highly enjoyable. Auto-Battle and Speed-Up seems to be included as well.

Characters themselves have an Element to them, similar as in Magia Record. Currently we know of at least 6 Elements: Water, Fire, Forest, Light, Dark, and an unnamed sixth Element that may be something like Void /Physical/Non-Elemental/Something else. All of this information is gleaned from promotional material and has not yet been officially revealed, so take all of this with a grain of salt. The elements that an enemy is weak to (and will therefore cause enemies to become Broken) are listed next to the Boss's HP and Break bar at the top of the screen. Additionally, characters can of course be equipped with Portraits (which are basically Memoriae) as described above.

Confirmed Characters: A lot of characters have been shown off already in some capacity or another. Among these, the following have been shown in the trailer, but not in-game:

so i've been trying to make sure i get priority on mech repairs lately and see there's this cute af shortstack of an engineer that just joined the support crew. so innocent looking. fresh from the coreworlds.

(she's in this council-mutualist militia that voted to attach to us. idk. i don't talk politics with anyone who's hot or important.)

and like, i've spent the last couple months baiting out the obvious crush she has on me: iron-pumping cunty bitch and hero of the third revolution. so like, i give her a wink, a smile when she recalibrates the LRM console. she sets aside some extra smokes for me i'll blow a playful, dubiously-platonic kiss. she does me a full rebuild and--

like, you get it. problem is: pretty sure all i've done is create a perverse incentive for her to:

hack into classified mission briefs and listen in.

calculate the exact time for us to complete our objectives.

engineer planned obsolescence into my fucking mech so that,

she's there right as my mech has a major failure when i re-dock.

it's happened 5/7 times this last month. i swear i'm not bullshitting. and then somehow she repairs it super easy so it must be some error spoofing or she's being super picky about what she fucks up (good).

The main premise and events in the Intertwined Opposites AU

It's finally here!!!

I've managed to finally make a proper info post for my personal take on this silly possession AU craze as I've planned to do for a while since I'm totally normal about this concept (lie) /silly

Before proceeding, keep in mind that this post is gonna be pretty long as I'll be diving into important story events troughout the first half of it, so it gets the read more treatment as usual!!

There will be no crk spoilers here (except for the beast-yeast episodes), just a ""prologue" to current narrative events in the AU

•The beginning•

Everything starts in beast-yeast, once peace has been returned to the fairie kingdom

Now that the area is mostly free from danger with the silver tree's seal being properly mended, the crowd decides to start repairs and preparations to further celebrate everyone's victory for the remainder of the day.

However, as everyone starts to leave the area, something starts creeping out from the shadows created by the tree's roots

Turns out that Shadow Milk, now severely weakened from the blow taken in battle, has managed to flee from being forced back into his prison once more.

During Lily's blast of magic, he essentially "split" and discarded part of his own power as a last resort, separating what was already being sucked into the renewed seal from himself to avoid getting dragged into containment once more.

Unfortunately for the beast, both his panicked and sloppy procedure combined with the added strenght of the new guardian's spell left him with a very poor amount of strenght, with it not being enough for anything useful.

Needless to say, his mind is filled with hatred and anger as soon as he emerges

he can't really do much with this state, and thus lingers on formulating a plan to get what he wanted from the start, but how?

How would he get back on track, rid himself of the guardian, and break the seal once more like this?

The answer eventually comes to him, just right on top of a bridge alongside the one who restored his prison.

His souljam, the one he was once the owner of

Now "purified" and held by Pure Vanilla, it binds the two together with the virtue of knowledge, split in the lights of truth and deceit during the purification process.

These lights are owned by the beast, and the figure by the bridge in front of him, yet come from the same thing.

Shadow Milk has finally decided on a proper plan.

◆ What comes after and what it leads to ◆

Days pass, turning into a few weeks and ending with a trip back home to take a break and write down what happened during the beast-yeast expedition.

Everything seems to have gone well in the end, yet something still feels..wrong?

It's not the best term for it, but does the job well enough.

The vanilla kingdom is peaceful, and Pure Vanilla's return safe and sound brings back some joy to the citizens.

Yet it just doesn't feel right, he doesn't know what precisely, but the ancient is riddled with an odd feeling almost like being watched.

He might not realise it for now, but he had been right. Someone has been following him inside the castle for the entire duration of the trip.

Pure Vanilla slowly grows more wary as days pass, and his doubts are confirmed as Shadow Milk's idea is proven successful.

In the void Pure Vanilla is confronted by Shadow Milk cookie, he spills everything he's done without esitating twice, as there's no reason to hide it anymore.

Shadow Milk had always been there ever since the re-sealing of the tree, following Pure Vanilla and draining magic at a slow enough rate to not be noticed, until it was enough to take over his body without trouble.

Now that he had a "vessel" to work with, he could keep recharging power and be finally able to do his bidding.

He's questioned multiple times by Pure Vanilla, but he wouldn't budge, and the ancient manages to gather only their location and a few loose details.

This was not a void, this was a ""mind space"" where he was bound to stay while shadow milk used his body as a disguise, and he could not use magic to fight back against the beast.

Being out of options, Pure Vanilla quickly tries to think over what to do, and lingers over the situation to come up with something.

Shadow Milk proposes an idea to Pure Vanilla, sharing the vessel that both are confined in, to be sure he doesn't get caught.

This is only to one condition: the ancient must work in favour of the beast under it's watchful sight at all times

The Ancient complies, and a deal is sealed.

It's not a loss nor a victory, only a beginning

◆The current situation◆

Now that the main prologue is set, what happens precisely to both?

So, Shadow Milk cookie is essentially ""possessing"" Pure Vanilla, but not completely.

The two switch up control of the ancient's body in certain times of the day and night, sometimes Pure Vanilla is granted the lead and when he's not needed Shadow Milk takes it. He's pretty much using the ancient as a puppet, a disguise and a tool for his own gain, assigning him certain tasks so that his plan will work as intended.

Whenever one of them is not in control of their shared ""vessel"", they're send in the mindspace until the shift of control takes place and so on. Shadow milk never gives Pure Vanilla full "freedom" or personal space, having control of the shifts in lead and constantly keeping the ancient under watch trough mirrors and reflective surfaces (The only moments in which he's given alone time is when the beast is asleep in the mind space to retain magic).

The ancient, on the other hand, accepted Shadow Milk's offer right away without esitation, but for a much different reason.

Pure vanilla is trying to get the best out of his situation, and thus feels forced to go against his own morality to keep cookies safe and attempt to alarm them trough hints and hidden messages scattered in the kingdom.

Even if he doesn't like the means, what else could he do to keep everyone safe?

The difficulty of his situation causes him great stress and paranoia, which worsens as time goes on and Shadow Milk regains his powers bit by bit, making his actions more difficult to get away with unnoticed.

Here's some more info regarding the effects of sharing a vessel in two:

• Pure Vanilla and Shadow Milk's connection by souljam makes sharing a body possible, otherwise it would be fatal to most cookies (As they're not made to be vessels).

• The slit in the souljam is a shared element which hints at Shadow milk's presence in both, during control shifts it flickers in different shades of gray.

• Remaining on the topic, control shifts are not plesant in the slightest to both parties involved, being defined by acute physical pain on the area covered by the souljam. This is inflicted on the current cookie in charge of the vessel during the shift, fading away only when back in the mindspace.

•The two can see eachother and comunicate trough reflective surfaces, with them displaying the current entity in the mindspace instead of the one leading the vessel.

• Pure Vanilla's voice sounds somewhat overlapped or distorted when shadow milk is in charge of his body, he can't change this aspect unfortunately for him.

• Certain factors like hunger and thirst are shared between the two due to their predicament, they can sometimes be heard debate over what to eat and when during the day.

• Sleep in the traditional sense is the only factor distinct to the two instead of being shared, as it's strictly based on "individual energy" rather than "shared energy"

TF One Piston's official design.

This design is based off the Chinese trading cards for the TF One movie. Big shout out to Hound's card for the background and text colors.

As we know Breakdown does not have an official design in TF One (but is there, I found him!) so when I redesigned Piston I pulled from his G1 design. One this I found very fun is seeing how other artists translated G1 Breakdown into future designs, take the coin shape on Piston's helm. That triangle-ish design is present in all Breakdowns.

I had the pleasure of speaking to a former Transformer's Designer about how to translate Piston's normal design into the TF One design and helped me solve the issue with their waist. Originally I kept Piston's square glass stomach but realized that it wasn't conducive to movement. I still wanted to keep the white line design but took his advice and re-hauled it. Now they have Sideswipe's waist while keeping the glass.

Overall, I kept the design principle the same. Piston has Bee's cheeks, coin shape, chest vents, and legs. They have Breakdown's chest piece, coin design, groin and arms. I kept the shoulder tires B-127 as it works well enough. White lines on Piston are very important to me so no matter what design I draw them in, the lines stay. They do loose their chest stripes but the I think it's fine.

I decided to keep the wings as I like the wings despite B-127 not having wings. This was a lot of fun to do, there's somethings that are beyond my artistic level to fix but over all I'm very happy with how this turned out!

Lore in the undercut!

Piston's catchphrase no matter what continuity they're in is, "I do whatever I want!"

In Earthspark, "I do whatever I want!" is cutesy and a bit naïve and over all forgiving. They were born after the war, the danger isn't real. They don't take anything serious because they don't need to. Baby can not be contained.

In TF One, they're born near the beginning of the war. The love from B-127 is there, but it isn't enough to keep their whimsy in tact. "I do whatever I want." is now a hardened battle cry. Baby can not be contained.

Piston is a combat mech and second best scout as B-127 doesn't want to see his baby turn into something so vicious. They are quick, ruthless, and are someone Decepticons are wary of as they lack Autobot values. Piston sees their family being destroyed and doesn't believe Optimus has the conviction to end the war. (Big Elita SB vibes)

This version of Piston is also several cycles old, mid 30s vibes. B-127 never told anyone, including Piston, that Breakdown is their Sire. They have a body count, in combat and romance. They are interested in anyone red. Sideswipe, Ironhide, Cliffjumper etc. (which makes Optimus all the more irritating (their white whale)).

Piston is particularly fond of Sideswipe as both mechs have a reckless edge to them. Piston does not get a lot of positive attention from other mechs in the Autobot base as time goes on and Sideswipe encourages their behavior. They're a combat pair. On occasion, he's seen Piston smile, their optics soften when no one else is around. Piston for all their rough edges, has a sly side to them. They have a whole, "Oh who me? No, I'm innocent, I've never done anything bad in my life!" wounded animal routine (works great on the battle field too) where they lower someone's guard. Once that mech leans in, Piston bites. Baby has strong hands that don't let go.

So, this is where I must tell you something important.

Piston offlines Breakdown.

All of this culminates into a scene which I wanted to storyboard but, I'm tired. Thusly!! I shall describe the scene for you.

Context: Stunticons launched a surprise attack on an Autobot outpost which injured B-127 who at this point can not verbally speak. Piston visits him in the repair bay and swears vengeance. B-127 refuses and insists on Piston staying with him. Piston looks at their Carry signing desperately and with all the hatred in their voice say, "I can't hear you."

Later:

Main Autobot base, a bit busy as scout teams are reporting in on enemy movements, mechs are trying to pick up the slack where damaged mechs would normally work. Optimus is at the big war table with all the usual suspects, plotting and planning and whatnot.

Suddenly there's a loud noise at the front entrance. Two engines fighting each other like car tug of war. Yelling and metal crashing together, everyone rushes to see what's going on. It's Piston dragging in a very mangled and nearly unrecognizable Breakdown.

When Piston found him, he was alone repairing a misalignment in his shoulder. The suprise attack had been successful but an argument caused the team to temporarily separate. He hadn't been paying attention to a vaguely familiar bot sneaking up on him. Breakdown had heard of the Green Terror, yet that coin, that chest piece were all details he'd seen in a reflection a thousand times before.

Optimus: What is the meaning of this?!!?

Piston: While you and your little entourage sat holed up in here like the frightened mechs that you are, I took it upon myself to see justice!

Optimus: Justice? This isn't justice! We don't treat prisoners like this, that makes us no better than the Decepticons!

Piston: Then I'm doing what you can't!

Without hesitating, they turn, and fire their Stinger at Breakdown's helm. Who, this entire time had been sitting on his knees, leaking Energon and stealing glances at a B-127 he had not seen in a very, very long time. An unfortunate victim of circumstance. He's dead before he hits the ground.

Piston: -I'm ending this war! Even if I have to wipe out each and every last Decepticon myself!

The crowd pulls away in utter shock and Optimus recognizing the situation grabs their arm and crushes it. After that Baby goes to jail for awhile, they're too dangerous to be let go. This Piston can not be forgiven. It's too much. B-127 still rallies for his sparkling, despite everything, he takes the blame. Maybe if Piston had been born at a different time, they could've been different.

Be patient, Loved One. Some parts just take time as you go down deep, intimately, and vulnerably into your body and welcome the unknown. Be patient with the journey without any aim or direction. Let your cells, tissues, organs, and fascia catch up to what you have been tending to: re-configuring, re-wiring, repairing, and re-calibrating as your body's new spiritual, energy state that will begin to make shifts in your dreams as your waking life catches up. This is why rest is so important. Treat regeneration like a long savasana and before you know it, a quantum leap emerges. Discover ways you can laugh, play, and rest a lot in the interim.
