I saw someone mention in the tags that this shouldn't be labeled 'mature.'

I agree! But historically, Tumblr staff and its content cop userbase does not. :) And getting someone reporting my work makes it disappear into a black hole. Even my own followers end up not seeing it. Labeling the piece myself helps mitigate that damage.

In any event there is female-presenting sideboob and it is bare behind a dreaded trans flag so staff would not be on my side with appeals. They never have been.

This is an ongoing problem and why I just don't use the site that often/why you can find me on my Bluesky account instead.

Feeling extremely dispirited with work.

Every year, during the summer, we get flex time, wherein we work an extra 45 minutes a day, then get every other Friday off. Because most of the staff was working from home last year, we didn’t do it, which sucked, but okay. Now it’s a year later, and those of us who have not been able to work from home have been going into work every. day. and we’re hoping we can have flex time again this summer, and the ED is like,..no. She doesn’t want to divide staff into two groups, but we’re already in two groups, those working from home and those working on site. It’s especially frustrating, because they’ve made every accommodation for those working at home, but none for the people who have gone work every damn day during this pandemic. And now we have a staff meeting coming up, and we’re going to have to watch a webinar on mental health, because the powers that be want to make sure we look after ourselves, but they won’t do the one, tangible thing that would actually help.

I am so tired, and I hate getting up every day so I can sit at a desk getting ever more tasks fobbed off on me, so that I’m doing one and half people’s jobs (but not getting one and a half people’s paycheques). I just don’t want to be there any more.

i really do be thinking about that kind of shit tho, like. 

serial killers just be out there, killing serially! and they be at it for like YEARS until they get caught! And sometimes they don’t even get caught! They just get old! Or die! 

and i’m like, shit, are there any serial killers around me?? 

who even gets got by serial killers???

like where were they going? what were they doing? when did they realize they were gonna be serial killed???

did y’all know i went to high school with the daughter’s of the DC sniper??? which, if you don’t recall that incident bc you maybe don’t live anywhere near DC, it was in like the early 2000s, and this man and a younger man literally just went around fuckin sniping people in DC, MD, and VA for several months. 

and then he was finally executed in 2010 or 11, i think, at which point suddenly everyone at school becomes aware that these two particular girls were that man’s daughters omfg!! and i only found out a few months ago that the reason that information became public throughout the school was because apparently on the day of or the week of the execution, a fuckin news crew came to the school wanting to interview the daughters. and im like daaaamn. can you maybe NOT randomly show up at a high school to interview two minor girls about their serial killer father???

I’m still breathing

Yes, I’m alive. Yes, I’m being quiet. No I’m not mad at @princesserica84​. No I’m not having a mental crisis. (Think of it as Vulcan Pon farr but mental/emotional release & not the other. (shudder))

It’s easier to be quiet and meditate & work through it in solitude than act a fool with friends. I already learned that lesson once before.

RL has been atrocious last 2 months with work. (I work from home for my own business & doing it all is difficult - and hard to find time to write, edit, etc.) But the numbers have been run from last year and while I did well, I’m taking a loss for the year (no big deal but I have to adjust some things to make up for it this year.)

Some personal stuff was going on too & needed a mental break for a while. (Medical stuff mostly which is too long and bothersome to write about now & no one wants to hear it anyway.)

Toss in the that the writer’s block came back with a vengeance & I have a hard deadline to meet by the 15th of March for @hptransfest​ (Which will be met come hell or high water or sealed caverns!) and things are mounted on my back and tail.

Add in that a feral cat seems to be adopting us and it’s going to be expensive for a medical test/surgery for her and eventually adopting out her kittens she’s pregnant with (courtesy of Percy the Big Head Boy Cat who was around), a coming trip to see the MIL which could be fantastic or the week from hell and planning for one in July where I might be able to meet up with friends from NYC & up that way (depending on schedules and such), and.....

Yeah. What was going to be a week away turned into almost 2 months. (But business has been good that I’ll probably make a tidy profit this year as long as I can keep selling popular name brand stuff)

I’m also working on growing my photography skills and honing some PS skills too & hope to branch out with that eventually. Consulting with my MIL in a few weeks will be a benefit I reckon when it comes to stuff like that (including not undercutting myself too.)

So if I don’t answer an email immediately here, ask @hillnerd​. She knows where to find me. So does @princesserica84​ (as long as I can remember to have my email set where I get notices from it and not just my business email. I missed an email from @coyotelaughingsoftly​ for a few days because I didn’t see it on my phone email. Argh!)
