Stranger Things possesed me since start 2025 and it will not stop until S5 come out !

So at the (very) begining of the year 2025 i was thinking about Stranger Things ! I was wondering when the S5 will arrived so i deep dive into the fandom.

(Short story, i have discovered ST when S4 was going to be released, i have brainwatched the serie very quickly because it was so good ! I have waiting for the second part of S4, at this time i starded to be in the surface level of the fandom, i've like it but i've never be IN it, until this year..)

By curiosity and reanimated my Stranger Things obsession i have watch videos theories and analyses of the show. And.. OMG !!! I have never be SO INVESTED ON A FANDOM BEFORE THIS ONE !!!

For 4 months now I have been rediscovering the series in a new light, I discover facets of it that 2 years ago I had not seen and it is so satisfying ! (and i kinda regret to not have been in it before..)

The major theories/analyses that particularly grabbed me are those of the Byler. Yes, i'm a fresh converted Byler ! Sorry Mileven but not hate ^^ (i will make a post of my tough about ship/pairing in ST with no hate, i want my tumblr to be a respectfull place !)

Also the theorie of Will have powers and the analyse of Mike character since i used to be a Mike hater when i was a simple GA (and i regret it now, i will make a post of my complicated relationship with Mike character soon)

All this to say that you will surely see me talk a lot about Stranger Things before and even after S5 comes out, although this blog will not be exclusive to this fandom don't worry, just for now i will rambling a lot about it since it's my current obsession !

Having multiple instances of system discovery is actually a normal and common aspect of the questioning process for many systems. The big puma fungus is actually quite small, and despite being on the ’25 Most Wanted List’ it’s also rather unremarkable, being slightly greyish brown, and no bigger than a shitake.

GNN is always abreast of updates to the brilliant conservation initiative Search for Lost Species which has rediscovered several wondrous species of plants and animals through collaborative scientific expeditions to look for forms of life not seen in over ten years.

The big puma fungus (Austroomphaliaster nahuelbutensis), an enigmatic species of fungi that lives underground in Chile’s Nahuelbuta Mountains had only ever been found in the wild once.

An expedition team from the Fungi Foundation in Chile set out for the temperate forests of the Nahuelbutas in May 2023 to retrace the footsteps of Chilean mycologist Norberto Garrido, who discovered the big puma fungus and described it to Western science in 1988.

They timed the expedition to coincide with the exact dates in May that Garrido had hiked the mountains more than 40 years earlier.

“It’s possible that the reproductive parts of the big puma fungus—the mushroom—are only fleetingly visible above the soil on the same few days each year, which made the timing of the expedition a crucial factor,” said Claudia Bustamante, a mycologist, and member of the expedition team.

The expedition was captured in a documentary called In Search of a Lost Fungus, in which viewers can see how a last-minute day hike organized near a local Nahuelbutas community led to the big puma fungus’ eventual discovery.

On the last day of the expedition, the Fungi Foundation led a workshop and a community hike to look for fungi in a nearby forest. During that hike, two of the local participants found a group of about four mushrooms that all matched the description of the big puma fungus.

The expedition team carefully collected the mushrooms, leaving the mycelium in the ground, and took the mushrooms to the Fungi Foundation’s fungarium (FFCL). Although the mushrooms matched the physical and microscopical description of the big puma fungus, it was a DNA analysis that eventually confirmed the team had found the correct species.

“We knew it was going to be hard to find the big puma fungus and that the chances of finding the mushrooms were low, considering their colors and how they blend with the fallen leaves,” said Daniela Torres, programs lead at the Fungi Foundation and leader of the expedition.

“It was truly a unique moment when we managed to be in the right place at the right time to see the mushrooms. Understanding the biodiversity that exists and interacts within a specific area helps us comprehend its behavior and its potential to adapt to ongoing changes and underlying threats.”

Since 2017, the Search for Lost Species has rediscovered 13 of the world’s most wanted lost species. In addition to the big puma fungus, Re:wild, working with partners across the world, has confirmed the rediscovery of Jackson’s climbing salamander in Guatemala, both Wallace’s giant bee and the velvet pitcher plant in Indonesia, the silver-backed chevrotain in Vietnam, the Somali sengi in Djibouti, the Voeltzkow’s chameleon in Madagascar, Fernandina giant tortoise in the Galápagos, Sierra Leone crab in Sierra Leone, the Pernambuco holly tree in Brazil, Attenborough’s echidna in Indonesia, De Winton’s golden mole in South Africa and Fagilde’s trapdoor spider in Portugal

I've watched all of the pitch perfect movies recently for the first time. I'm not into musicals so I kinda skipped a lot of the singing parts, but there were a lot of singing parts that I liked so I didn't skip them. The cup song is now on my mind. It felt nostalgic in a way. We went camping twice in our primary school. During one of these camping trips, the cup song was really popular. All the other kids in my class knew it and would sing it with cups. It looked really fun and I wanted to learn, but I had no friend then to teach me. Since pitch perfect does covers of other songs I wondered who sung the cup song. And then I learnt that it was from this movie (I'm aware this song has been about for a long time, but Anna Kendrick repopularised it). I really enjoyed those camping trips. I’ve never been camping since, so they were beautiful experiences for me. I still remember relatively quite a lot about that camping trip. Anyway, I really hearing this song again after so many years and seeing where it originates from.

Oliver & Company (1988): Found Media [Original Walt Disney Pictures Logo]

Original 1985 Walt Disney Pictures logo, from the 1988 animated feature film Oliver and Company, produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Walt Disney Feature Animation, believed to be lost in the United States for 36 years, rediscovered and digitized from a 1997 France SECAM-formatted VHS. Also present in the France laserdisc.

The version that was released on this foreign VHS was likely an open matte, 35mm international theatrical reel or the original interpositive/telecine. I suggest The Walt Disney Studios to perform an expensive new scan and new master entirely in 4K including the 1985 Disney logo from the original 35mm theatrical negative.

Rediscovery is a fanfic set in the same universe as Journey of the Chosen, featuring original characters (and a few characters from JotC) in a story that happens alongside JotC.
