To be serious for a moment, one of the many problems with anti-weed moral panics is that you can in fact experience physical withdrawal from weed if you've been a very heavy user, and it can trigger various mental illness symptoms if you already have a predisposition to them, but if you just flat out lie about the dark consequences then nobody's going to believe warnings about safety while using.
