    {➹} – IT SAID SOMETHING about the Resistance’s prowess that it was rare anything happened while on patrol, but the hero couldn’t help but be grateful for that at times. Today? It wasn’t one of those days. Having grown so used to the norm, he had almost forgotten what to do when he saw the red-clad machine just off in the distance. Almost.

    He had fired with his weapon of choice but missed on purpose, the head of his arrow stuck firmly in the ground just inches from the red machine. And already another was being fitted in place ready to fire, and yet he paused. Something about this one wasn’t...normal. It didn't look like the rest of Robotnik’s machines. Too small, and it didn't look armed in anyway. 

     Chaos, he hoped he was right about that, or he had just made a terrible mistake.

Ah, this was happening, was it? The only indication of Silver’s temper simmering was an ear twitch.

“Oh. Is that so? I’m sure Tails could get rid of that for you. Maybe the rudeness can go too.”

Being that it was now the evening of what had been a wholly uneventful day, Shadow was taken aback when he’d rounded the corner to such a peculiar sight. In fact, while nonthreatening, it more than made up for that in oddity and confusion. The bright red bot looked just as lost as one could expect considering they were without the Doctor. In fact, they were perched quite squarely in the middle of the street like an unawares wild animal. If the roads weren’t torn to bits and civilians far too afraid to leave, they might have actually been in danger. Seeing no immediately obvious reason not to, the hedgehog approached the lost orb, the dusky green pad of his thumb rubbing a comforting circle against the coffee cup in his hands.

“Did the Doctor finally get tired of your sparkling personality?”

Taking a sip from the styrofoam cup currently keeping his hands warm, he decided to take a more objective look at this situation. Orbot and Cubot never went anywhere without Robotnik and the only reason he’d be out and about is if he was abandoned or - more likely - the Doctor was very close. Given this, his best course of action would likely be to just destroy the little nuisance and move on. Although, a part of him was reluctant to smash anything that seemed to have such advanced AI, it felt far too much like taking a life. Something he’d sworn off doing years ago.

Maybe he’d just kick them a few hundred yards and call it good?

Metal quickly starts to gather up the pieces of the bot he could find, scooping them up along with him. This was horrible! He couldn’t leave him like this, he had to get him back and help him. 

“Don’t try to do anything, it’ll only make things worse. Hang in there friend.” 

After making sure nothing would fall, Metal takes off, keeping the other as close as he could. He let Orbot down once, he’s not going to let it happen again. He was racing against time itself, not the first time he’s done this, but it was one of the most important times. 

He had to make it.

my first impression of your muse: Truthfully, I was excited to see an Orbot RPer on tumblr. I figured Orbot would be a rather unpopular pick for RP blogs, but! It’s great to see one around!

my favorite thing about your muse:I love how serious Orbot tries to be sometimes. Like, he’s a pretty goofy character, but I feel like he tries to get people to take him seriously, but... I just can’t. It’s super cute.

my favorite thing about you:Again, if we’ve ever spoken OOC, I’m... a dumb and cannot recall. But, again, you seem pretty chill in what I’ve seen! I like your writing a lot and it’s a pleasure seeing you on my dashboard.

would I ever consider shipping our muses:Probably not, in truth. I can’t see Orbot working out romantically with either Neo or Mint. But I’m happy for them to be friends! Or enemies. Whatever you’d like.a plot I’d like to see between our muses:I don’t have many concrete ideas for plots. But, as said previously, maybe them being friends would be cool.

an AU I think would be interesting for our muses: Maybe an evil!Neo AU would be cool with Orbot? I dunno. I’ve not added extra verses for this blog yet, and I don’t know if I want to either. So! yeah.

Being a hedgehog with magical powers and still trying to wrap his head around technology, Silver struggled to understand how the things Eggmam and Tails created worked.

He also hadn't seen Orbot enough to know his affiliation with the madman.

Orbot always believed that he was lucky as someone that's easily forgettable. Silver didn't seem to recognize him as Eggman's lackey at all. On the other hand, he seemed to have mistaken the robot for someone capable of levitation...

     This was an unfamiliar place. That was for sure and Volt couldn’t help his anxiety at the whole ordeal. If it hadn’t been for Harmony quickly taking his hand to help calm him, the older hybrid was sure his anxiety would have got the better of him. Although the one saving grace had been that their Warp Ring charged up upon holding it and was ready for use if they really needed to get out of there. Just a small relief as they began to look around.

    Where were they? Was it safe for them to be looking around? Volt wasn’t sure and honestly had been tempted to leave then and there with Harmony to just save them any trouble. If it hadn’t been for the sound of noise behind him that made both of their heads turn. It was Harmony who spoke up at first, whisper only loud enough for him to hopefully hear her.

     “Is that Mr. Orbot with kitty ears?” If she hadn’t asked it, Volt would have been asking it himself. At least now they were on the same page as the pup looked up and he nodded. The only problem was this version going to be as tolerant as the ones they knew.
