It does hurt him and make him second guess the relationship to a certain extent. If he was to read an article of people speculating on his girl being a gold digger it would cause him to go back in his memories and think about how they got together, how she reacted to certain things he gave her, the timing of certain things in the relationship etc..... he just starts to think (it's giving air sign, bc besides him going into deep thought and feeling a bit of a hit to his pride, he doesn't do much with this uncertainty of her being an actual goldigger). I think a part of him doesn't care as long as there's no real proof to support this speculation and that it isn't exposed to the media. He cares about his pride/the way he would look. (I'm hearing "they think a woman could only want me for my money?"). Like I said, it's a pride thing. He doesn't like the thought of money being his only desirable quality to women

I'm also getting a vibe that he deep down knows all of his past relationships was due to "gold digging" intentions, so he's like, "If it's not her, it would just be somebody else".

Yeah. His only concern is controlling the narrative of these speculations. He doesn't exactly care if she is a gold digger. He just doesn't want to be seen as a guy who can only get women by waving around money. He may do things irl to test and see if he really can pull girls without them knowing who he is.

Yep. She does love him, but she loves his money more.

I was firmly on the "Rodriguez is an action guy, not a prospect boat" after his last one but this one seals it for me. Borjas isn't an unskilled fighter. Fast hands. Can throw straight punches (something 70% of MMA fighters can't do). But Rodriguez made him look like an elite boxer. For all his pressure and posturing, he was open to the 1-2 all night long and Borjas fed it to him consistently. And if Rodriguez's MO is going to be fun, scrappy action fighters that's fine I guess. But he's going to have to start making weight. Cause his style is going to get him BOMBEd on at 135lbs if he's forced to move up.
