Manganese gets into fights fairly often, so he's not a complete pushover. His soul's still screwed up, though, which puts him at a huge disadvantage.

Gonzalo, Lear, and Corrupt Ollie only have about half the apple power that everyone in tier 4 and up has, but Gonzalo has eldritch bullshit on his side that enhances his strength slightly.

Neither Ro nor Melanite are used to fighting, and Ro avoids it at all costs.

Basalt is unpredictable and doesn't fuck around trying to show off or scare his opponents like some of the others (LEAR. GONZALO. Also Obsidian and Biotite but Lear and Gonzalo especially)

Shrike, Manganese, Gonzalo, and Lear will let the others beat the shit out of each other, and intentionally cause them to hit someone else, to save their own energy. Basalt does too, but not to the same extent.

The previous point is why uncorrupted Ollie and Manganese are tied.

Cherry doesn't want to fight. Neither does Melanite, though Melanite can't really fight at all

Shrike relies more on speed and dexterity than most of his alternates do.

Gonzalo's more likely to win if Petruccio is missing or has been injured by one of the others.

Of course, if the ones lower down on the list gang up on some of the ones higher up, that may change. But that's why it's 'most likely' and not an absolute.

Despite his avoidance, Ro's acid is quite potent, and it gets a little boost from surrounding negativity. He could very easily incapacitate or kill the others if they provoke or scare him enough.

For all the corrupts and radiants, their magic gives them a strength boost. Oleander without his corrupt magic is just normal Oleander. Same with Ro

Shrike is faster and trickier, but Obsidian also is still strong enough to bash your skull open given a solid surface to slam your head into. Who wins between the two entirely depends on the setting.

Cherry and Ollie don't particularly want to fight, but Ollie's more practiced so he wins over Cherry

Gonzalo and Lear have knives, and Gonzalo's just as unpredictable as Basalt; especially as he gets more worked up.

In both cases, Gonzalo and Lear's chances of winning go up exponentially if Petruccio and Puck are there backing them up. Similarly, Gonzalo and Petruccio are even more likely to win over Lear and Puck than Gonzalo if it's just Gonzalo and Lear. The DU boys pretty much always know exactly what the other's going to do.

note: the jet alts in both theater kid AUs technically aren't their own unique alts. they were just thrown into a different version of JMV. For that reason, I won't differentiate between Jet and Nyx, or Astra and Deimos.

Lime is fairly powerful, but he would probably just dip if fighting broke out. He's more practiced in fighting that Gecko is, though, so if pressed...

Astra's trickiness and Rayonnant's strong preference for brute force make it hard to tell who'd come out on top. Depends on the setting.

Gecko may know how to fight, but I don't think he'll do great against the four bastards. Fortunately the rest (save alkaline, if they don't already know each other) are probably happy to team up with him and keep him from getting killed.

Sable and Alkaline aren't strangers to fighting, but like with Manganese, Alkaline is a little more used to getting into fights.

Alkaline fights just as dirty as Rayonnant, but he's not quite as strong. Jet could probably take him out if he's careful, but it'd be pretty close.

With everyone else significantly weakened, Embraer now has the upper hand. Several others are still much stronger and trickier than him, but he's not quite so screwed.

F!S!JMV/F!S!DINTIS plot dump

(Not really; there’s no plot anymore. we lost it ages ago. Just more ramblings that aren’t specifically about character personalities. Maybe one day we’ll have a plot again)

In the Swap Verse, Scorpion is closer to a bystander of Nephrite’s abuse, though siding with Nephrite puts some fault on him. Just a tad yknow (sarcasm; it’s more than just a tad). 

But Actinide is definitely, without a doubt, an accomplice of Krypton’s schemes. Partners in crime if you will. Unfortunately, unlike Jet and Obsidian, they are very open with each other about their feelings for each other and get along great and, unlike Biotite and Ebony, consider each other as equals. This means you can’t try to stall by making them suspicious of each other (not that that’d work with Obsidian and Jet anyways. They’d kill you and fight each other about what you said later, if it was something they were genuinely concerned about), or by being like ‘cmoonnn are you sure your boss wants me?? Im just a little guy! Just a little birthday boy :(( you wouldn’t hurt a little birthday boy :(( maybe you should double check with him or something’. You’re just fucked! They both trust each other completely, and know all of what their plan is. The only exception being when they’re being gay and planning silly little surprises for each other but ignore that. Stop looking at how soft they are which each other they’re evil murderous bastards don’t get distracted 

Somewhat tangential: Krypton’s charmspeak. I don’t think I talked about Nephrite or Emerald’s, since they don’t use it much (or at all, in Emerald’s case), but it works about the same between all three of them, which is also the same way it works in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians/Heroes of Olympus universe.

Charmspeak works best when you’re asking/telling your target to do something they already want to tell you/do. Whether this be something they consciously want or not. It also works very well on people who are attracted to you.

However, charmspeak works poorly against very powerful beings (such as gods; not that that really comes into play here), people who are aware of and actively guarding against charmspeak, and people who just aren’t attracted to you. Some of these things can be worked around, depending on the target and the user, but that’s the jist of it.

Krypton uses his ability on Mango for many things. Whether it be asking Manganese to just leave the room because Krypton wants to talk Evil Plans with someone, or reassuring Mango that everything is fine and he doesn’t need to worry about a thing! Manganese is very loyal to Krypton. It would be…very, very difficult to get him to see that Krypton is using magic to manipulate him, and still harder to convince him that no, Krypton isn’t doing it ‘accidentally’ or ‘to try and keep you safe,’ he’s just an asshole, and you need to get the fuck out of there.

Alkaline has started to pick up on the fact that something’s fucked, though. He’s trying to figure out what exactly is going on, but it’s very hard to guard against charmspeak when you have no idea the person can even do such a thing, and Krypton isn’t too keen on Alkaline getting smart and trying to get Manganese out of there. Actinide isn’t either. If Alkaline realizes the awful shit Krypton’s doing, maybe he’ll finally realize that Actinide is just as bad. 

Actinide may be a bitch, but he does care about Alkaline, and would hate for Alkaline to leave him. Alkaline doesn’t know about all the things Actinide and Krypton are doing and more than Manganese does.

On the surface, Alkaline and Mango act the most like Jet and Obsidian, in terms of how they interact with each other. They bicker and pick on each other a lot. Alkaline especially loves teasing Mango and annoying him. Mango keeps threatening to hit Alkaline. They’re much softer behind closed doors, though they still bicker. They can’t help it it’s their love language. They’re soooo stupid <33

Those two didn’t get along very well at first. Manganese could see right through Alkaline’s act, and he found both the projected arrogance and the fact that Alkaline was faking it extremely irritating. Nevermind that Alkaline seemed to have decided to annoy him at every opportunity.

Alkaline did not like that Manganese could see through him. Alkaline also didn’t like it when Mango used every opportunity to tell everyone that Alkaline was a faker. 

They’ve since reconciled. While they still bicker, they aren’t nearly as vicious about it. No more hurt feelings. No one has any idea why they’re suddenly cool with each other. Frankly, Actinide and Krypton are probably the only ones who know that they’re sort-of-unofficially dating. Everyone else is totally lost.

…honestly i really do think that’s it. I’ve been racking my brain for ages trying to think of anything else but I really can’t think of anything. I’m genuinely surprised at how underdeveloped this AU is. 

I mean, we think about Krypton and Actinide so much! How is the rest of it ignored so badly? (sarcasm. It’s because we’re too busy being gay to do any character development)

Krypton has a huge collection of weapons

Krypton and Actinide could, in theory, ‘recruit’ Obsidian, Jet, Biotite, and Ebony to work for them. Basalt’s hatred for literally everyone and his unpredictability makes him a very…risky investment, but he’s not immune to Krypton’s charmspeak, so it is possible. Astra’s similarly far too chaotic and self-serving to be worth the trouble; nevermind what Basalt may do if he and Astra are as close as their alternates are, and Krypton and Actinide fuck with Astra.

I managed to convince myself that the ‘Fell’ aesthetic was just Black and Red. But Swap Verses get Yellow/Gold, which meant swapfell got to be Black, Red, and Gold. Then while I make some of these guys I’m like “dang all these guys keep giving me mad Underfell Sans Vibes” and then going ‘....of course they do they’re black and red and gold. Fool.’ …and then it happened all over again with the next idiot

And then i try to add blue in and it starts to look like Error. All the primary colors on a background of black,,,It’s very surprising how much just a simple color palette can make you go “IT’S FUCKING BLORBO!!!!!!”

I was spinning Willow and another yet-to-be-revealed version of Peridot around in my head, and it got me thinking about Dot in Swap and SwapFell JMV

Willow is doing what she is partly out of circumstance. Had Lazuli and Aspen not arrived when they did, and Macadamia and Hawthorn stolen the apples then, she wouldn’t be working for Lazuli in any way.

The other, Pallasite, is doing what she’s doing because she decided that Monchrome had a point and she wasn’t going to bother trying to stop him.

And I was just thinking that there’s no real reason to change Swap and SwapFell dot’s places. They would still be given their mission, and there’s no reason why they should think that Nephrite or Krypton were at all justified.

Imagine all these different versions of Dot meet and there’s just three of them that are almost exactly the same. Their MVs are all different, but they themselves are the same

idk something about one person in those swap aus remaining mostly the same and yet having to deal with wildly different problems.

also something about melanite in particular meeting his version of dot finally, and she’s not exactly normal about him being the negative spirit, but more like… more like she has more respect for him because of it. Because she at least has some idea of how must’ve been treated, yet he never broke under that pressure and tried to give back the shit the villagers put him through. And he’s a good bit older than her, so it’s like. Talking to your elders. And he knows more about the Tree and it’s magic than she does

But she treats him mostly the same as everyone else still. Just… just with a bit more respect, as someone who’s been around longer and knows more about some stuff than her

and he has never felt so?

Okay, yeah, Sable and Opal and his family respect him as a person. Sable also respects him as his boyfriend. Mari, Opal’s kid, respects him as an Adult(tm). But this feels very different.

It almost feels like he’s made someone proud.

And after trying so hard to make Nephrite proud, show him how much he’s changed since they were kids and he was a little asshole…

Anyway I think swap and swapfell Peridot are going to be mostly the same as normal Dot, just with slight differences because of how things around them are different

While Krypton is definitely very clever and extremely dangerous, Actinide is better when it comes to planning fine details in their schemes. He’s not as patient as Krypton when dealing with people directly, though. 

Of the two, Actinide is more likely to decide he’d rather get results with the end of his spear than with talking. Actinide is also more skilled in combat. He worries over Krypton and Alkaline quite a bit, though with Alkaline there’s a lot more of a “He can’t know about the Evil Deeds™ that I am committing or he’ll run off” aspect to it.

I had forgotten what the bat was for, but I believe it was that we’d decided his special ability was shapeshifting. And we thought he’d be a bat.

Alkaline is (as you can see) also a radiant. While he’s more confident than Sable, he fakes a lot of it and comes off as an arrogant bastard. He’s got a good heart though. It’s the social conditioning from living in a fell verse that makes him act like that <333 

He’s a little shit too. He’ll pick on you. If you’re friends he’ll still pick on you, but only within limits of what he knows you’re comfortable with. Like friendly bickering. If you’re not friends tho it’s going to hurt. Just putting that out there.

Krypton is the evilest radiant I know, which feels like it’s saying a lot, but considering our options are ‘Absolutely insane, anywhere between delusional, omnicidal, or just having no sense of moral right or wrong and having a grand old murdery time about it’ (Delusion, Harrier, Swad, Dusk) or ‘asshole. Bitch. Could have sense smacked into him, though’ (DS Dream, Nephrite, Scorpion), it. Really isn’t. 

I mean, there’s Actinide, but still. They’re the only two who I could really describe as ‘evil’. They want to be evil. Delusion, DS Dream, and Harrier think they’re doing Good Things (some doing more overall damage than others,,,). Nephrite’s doing shitty things and Scorpion is supporting him, but they’re mostly hurting one guy. Not excusing it, ofc. 

And then Swad and Dusk, while definitely problems, are just. Havin fun. Yes, that includes murder. But they’re just out to have fun. Krypton and Actinide have come to fuck shit up, on purpose. And also have fun. But most importantly, they’re coming to, eventually, rule the multiverse.

…Anyways. Krypton’s an evil radiant. He’s very pretty though. Totally the most important thing you needed to know (sarcasm). He’s extremely manipulative, and his charmspeak makes him even more dangerous. He gets to go in the same bastard category as Obsidian and Biotite. He is the only one who’s ‘allowed’ to call Manganese ‘Manga’, but Manganese still doesn’t really like it.

He's also got a little collection of weapons. All of which he knows how to use. watch out

Honorary Fruitverse Member, Mango <33

Manganese generally doesn’t do nicknames. We, the creators, and Alkaline, his boyfriend, call him ‘Mango’. He likes that better than ‘Manga’. He doesn’t know why it’s started getting on his nerves so much, or why Krypton refuses to stop calling him that, but yknow. Minor details. 

Mango is generally very prickly and unfriendly, and will not hesitate to start a fight with you. Unless Krypton has expressly forbidden it. He’s not allowed to start a fight with any of Krypton’s team. Even if Tellurium keeps trying to get him in trouble by goading him into a fight. To Krypton’s credit, he does notice Tellurium is doing this on purpose. 

If you get to be friends with Mango, he can be a sweetheart, though it’s still hiding under 5 layers of emotional constipation. He’s half-n-half like Jade and Melanite.
