now that we have. context. for that. everything becomes a lot more worrying.
wake up? am i sleeping? what happened? where am i. did it work? it's so quiet
the thing that's been speculated with summertime is that he's been dviking all along. that that's why his behavior is so strange, that that's why he reacted the IOUs that way, that that's why his sword is named that, and that only got more reinforced with the flashback and him going ballistic when cloneby took his sword. skyblock kingdoms is in a world that's mostly void, so of course that's where dviking would end up after falling into it.
so, going off of that, the idea that comes to mind is that summertime didnt remember he was yellow. not until now, anyway. he had these strong feelings from his previous life but couldnt explain where they came from until everything clicked back into place.
but there's another possibility, and it's that yellow wasn't always here.
was yellow summoned? "did it work" is absolutely about the ritual, but the rest of that-- i mean, that level of confusion makes more sense if yellow did just, well, wake up. plus, yknow, time is kinda a loose thing with the vikings, and its even looser when the void is involved.
but, uh, if we go with "yellow only just got here"... where's summertime?

OKAY
I was originally making a whole essay on the clones but I’m not done yet and Trog’s episode IS TOMORROW SO I’M LEAVING MY THOUGHTS ON DR. TUBE HERE
So. What they were assigned vs. self assigned, and the standing of Acacia kingdom (that we know of rn)
[disclaimer: we don’t know for sure that Avid assigned each clone a specific role. Either he did put more planning into them besides being throwaway replacements, or the clones took “make sure people don’t fall into the void” in different ways which reflected their priorities
but since they were created specifically to follow orders, they must’ve been told what to specialize in. That’s what I’m going with. And self assigned is what they wanted to be outside of ossha]
Assigned: Spy
During a Fool stream where him and Milkman had an ossha hiring event, clone Trog reveals themself to be a spy. They took their job very seriously on the count of 1) laying low and keeping it a secret for 3 months, and 2) making it a point to tell Avid they’ve been doing a good job at it. They sounded defensive, like this was a strong reminder to Avid that they were compliant
Clone Trog had a valuable job: keep an eye on everyone else. It’s wild to me how, out of anyone that could’ve been tubed first, it happened to be god and they couldn’t be stopped if anyone tried to oppose them. Whatcha gonna do? Join the spectator dimension they blipped into? Hah. Lol. Lmao
They weren’t seen very much: a few on stream interactions and mostly in their own episodes. Fool said they were the “Ruby kind of weird”. But we never quite saw them on the job
Where were they? Everywhere, apparently
Moving into theory territory: getting a good grade in Spy Activities™️ meant hiding away in the space between realities only they had access to. So they stayed out of sight most of the time, collecting information on who fell into the void, tsk-tsking at their boss stumbling down every other week, entering the physical world only to report back to Avid or build or take care of other important matters
Until one fateful day, memories of a different lifetime caught up to them. Which leads to
Self Assigned: Inheritor
They believe that different life is fully theirs, even after Avid tries telling them otherwise. Their husband, their children, their humble little home: Dr. Tube is very attached to these memories and wants to “go back”. Inherit it all. But more importantly, to reunite with their cactus children
Clone Trog never existed in Gilded (where these flashbacks originate), but they’ve decided it’s home. Skyblock isn’t where they belong anymore, it’s a different world across the horizon, a different “familiar place”. They want to come to a reality where they have a family to care for out of love, instead of neighbors out of obligation
No more going in circles around the server
Dr. Tube got these memories. It all feels so real, so right, it must be theirs. It’s rightfully theirs.
Kingdom Consequence: unknown (for now)
How does Kittrix feel about a 3rd kingdom member? The IRSS revealed that acacia wasn’t stable, since we heard that her and (presumably) Clone Trog had a bit of a fight
The last we’ve seen of Kittrixs’ pov, she was wary of ossha’s iron-fist attitude “I can’t shake the feeling that this won’t end well” The presence of clones disrupted birch and cherry’s dynamic with each other, rather dramatically, so I’m not surprised acacia is following suit. As far as I’m aware we haven’t seen Dr. Tube and Kittrix canonically interact yet, but if clone history is gonna repeat itself: Dr. Tube will be off-putting to Kitt….that might actually be the reason she left acacia
I wanna dig into this a little further. Going with the theory that Clone Trog was hiding in spectator mode, Kittrix has been alone in acacia. Again :[
The first time Trog disappeared, the original Trog, it was a void spell gone wrong. Their partner was left with an empty home and thought it’d be lonely forever. Kitt assumed the worst and thought Trog was gone gone. She was incredibly relieved and a bit emotional when they popped back into acacia. The two immediately went to Avid for void investigations, and at the end of Trog’s episode 3 you can hear something be submerged underwater and bubbles
It’s safe to assume they were tubed very shortly after talking with Avid
Gone. Back for less than a day. Gone again
Headcanon time: It’s been too quiet at acacia. Kitt has seeked out other adventures in the nether, chasing the thrill and chaos she’s craved since the beginning days. It’s not the same. It doesn’t need to be, she’s experienced enough to manage on her own- she can dodge mob attacks with muscle memory, tear through enemies with the strongest gear, navigate crooked bridges without ever falling down once. When it’s not enough of a challenge, it becomes a distraction
It’s not the same. It doesn’t need to be. It doesn’t stop her from missing Trog, though. She rarely sees them nowadays, and it would be a joy to talk with them again, but every brief conversation leaves her confused. Their void loving spirit is non-existent, their mind is clearly preoccupied with something else, they’re too quick to leave…
Maybe it’s about time she left, too. Just for a while
However! (new info) Kittrix was very kind and accepting of Rue. And maybe it’s that interaction that helps her understand why her island partner was acting so weird
So, before I’m proved wrong or right, I’m gonna say that the clone arc resulted in Acacia kingdom being at temporary odds with each other, then eventually led to acceptance

SBK Finale Liveblogging: SadMilkman
Spoilers below the cut:
Milkman is so nonchalant I love it
Ooh is that void cathedral in the background?
WIZARD MILKMAN
OK now I want to go back and look at all the predictions to see if they actually came true or if that's just milkman being Milkman
THE ORB ACTUALLY HELPED??? IT WORKS??? Who is behind the orb's voice
Chaos vs balance...this is so interesting...the world is out of balance because of the skyblockers? Hmmm
The shot of Birch kingdom buried under the falling blocks is so cool
What's that? IT'S OSSHA WITH THE STEEL CHAIR
Fool backing away and making a disgusted noise when Milkman said they needed to do their jobs lmao
Even in the end of the world birch boys cannot resist a good scam
Trying to fly away to space to escape the apocalypse...hello again moon big arc I missed you
I have a feeling this is not going to work
Ooh the cathedral is Avid AND Marmalade's work? Interesting...
Vintage is there but not Ruby...Sakura spouses divorce hurts me...
I love how the void is still so sketchy. Like sure it helps Marm but it's genuinely SO evil-adjacent it's constantly hungry
Using wind charges to sacrifice to the upvoid is so funny
Milkman stealing from the sacrifices. Never change milkman
RUBY!!!!! THEYRE HERE!!!!
RUBY looking at vintage and slowly looking around...he keeps looking at her im...
Trog and Tube are both there I love it
"It's almost like the world is starting to fill in" OH?????
The sad birchland theme and the tour I'm actually going to cry this isn't fair
THE FLASHBACKS THATS NOT FAIR
The blocks starting to land on stuff uh oh
"We gotta go into the void or something" birch boys limbo au when
Fool how did you get that many cheese wheels what
HE ONLY HAS ONE ELYTRA NOOOOO
HE GAVE FOOL THE WINGS INSTEAD OF USING THEM HIMSELF NO NO NO
THEYRE BOTH TRYING TO SAVRIFICE THEMSELVES THATS NOT OK
Milkman was always loyal to Fool...but Golden never got to see it...
He left Fool behind...
The portal...but where does it go?

Hi!
*drops the anvil in your inbox*
SO.
I dunno how much exactly you know abt Vikings dominion SMP lore, but apparently the end of it was supposed to be along the lines of the whole memory ritual thing. Viking would perform the ritual and in the process split into two parts, Yellow and Blue. I'm paraphrasing from somebody elses post here btw.
But Yellow and Blue had some Interesting Moral Opinions that didn't exactly agree the most with each other, and in that split Blue was going to end up killing Yellow and something something somewhere in the whole bit with that and the memory ritual, somebody was going to fall into the void.
This is relevant because Summertime Viking seems to have vanished to some extent? I dunno still. What I *do* know however, is that we now have one Very Confused Yellow Viking running around on skyblock kingdoms! The sheer excitement in learning he's corporeal again deals minor emotional damage (the fact that you get to hear a ghost cheer about being alive again really makes you Think about how he Wasn't and you feel bad that this is something he had to worry abt to begin with) but also brings joy because!!! He's solid now!!
He also forgets he can't just go through walls anymore a lot though, which makes that internal conflict do Even More damage though. Aw. Buddy :(
Anyways. We have one Very Confused Yellow Viking who does Not know Where he is, nor who any* of these people are, all he knows is that The Void is Scary! And uh. It's skyblock. Also, Avid, in his newfound acceptance of the void is now very passionate in his "praise the void" bit, which is *probably* giving Yellow some minor flashbacks about Jamie, assuming Yellow remembers that much of dominion. I'm assuming he does, because uh.
*He remembers Fix and Josh.
Which I'm sure will go *wonderfully* for his skyblock partner! Who is now Much Taller.
ANYWAYS. My friends got to sit there and listen to me shout at my screen as Yellow proceeded to immediately end up interacting with Avid, who was expecting Summertime Viking, and is confused at Yellow. Avid seemed so sad about some things and I can do naught but sit here. As Yellow goes about doing things, taking a tour around the server, very hesitantly testing his ability to stand in the sun (!!! Emotional damage mr vikingpilot sir you can't keep DOING THIS-) and stashing the jungle kingdom IOU in his ender chest. Because why wouldn't he. He's So Normal about IOU's after all! Definitely should be trusted with an IOU. Definitely.
Anyways. He takes a trip around the server, chats with Trog for a bit, very happy about learning about redstone, and chats with Avid for a bit again. Where Avid says that Milkman should be violence. On sight. Oh dear. Yellow continues with his fly around, he's incredibly baffled as to how there's so much land in the sky btw and it's kinda hilarious, but anyways he finds milkman. Chat at this point starts shouting at him like he's an unruly cat (to be fair, he kinda is) because Yellow's ability to clock hyperbole, exaggeration, or sarcasm, is a little shot right now? So he is Absolutely planning to violence the Milkman. Hence, "DO NOT THE MILKMAN". It reminds me of my cousin trying to get one of their cats out of her christmas tree.
Anyways no violence occurs, Yellow however does inform Milkman of Avid's opinion on violencing the Milkman, and Milkman proceeds to explain that he has several bones to pick with Avid. "More like an entire ribcage" he says, which amuses me to no end.
And of course, because this is relevant to Dominion Viking, on interacting with Milkman, he immediately enters a deal to get himself an IOU. We return to "Do Not the Milkman." Yellow, again, like an unruly cat, cares not for the whims of man, chat, nor god, and is attemting to the Milkman. Okay.
I can't tell if the emotional state is fending off anybody who looks at this poor guy wrong with a baseball bat or if I'm staring at him holding an empty paper towel roll in a threat against committing silly guy crimes.
I'm so sorry for the coherency level here btw.
OH. And as one final note. The line about him being in my walls again is from this wonderful reply! Thank you for that, mr vikingpilot sir. Much appreciated.
Anyways have a nice day 👍😀👍
*gets squashed* Ah! Thank you friend :'3
This... Was a stream? This was a lore stream. I need to watch several hours of vods again...

Waiting on a Wildfire
When Avid tries to burn the leaves of the tree while competing for the Road Builders guild, it sparks a memory of the last time he tried to solve his problems with fire.
Fic inspired by something @varteeny1234 said! I am exploding you with my mind <3

just got done watching avid's skyblock kingdoms movie! it's very good. if you want a quick way to jump into skyblock kingdoms now that the first story arc is over, i hugely recommend it! it's about three and a half hours and is focused on avid's builds and his story, and while there's some context missing here and there as a result it's a good intro for somebody who's maybe intimidated by the overall series runtime
there's a couple things slipped in there that aren't in the individual episodes, and i absolutely love it. the first flashback startled me in a good way and id love to see how people react to it w/o knowing what's going on from seeing the full series already. the ending does, in fact, still make me very emotional
#leo.txt#skyblock kingdoms#sbk#mcyt#i forgot what exactly yellow's laugh sounded like and got jumpscared even knowing it was coming#MAN. avid's editing is peak as always

IM IN THE MIDDLE OF VIKINGS VIDEO AND /WHAT THE FUCK/
FLASHBACKS TO. SOMETHING??? I DONT KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THAT WAS BUT I HAVE A FEELING IT WAS REALLY IMPORTANT LORE-WISE
IT SURE WAS
cracks knuckles. Let's Talk About Dominion SMP.
there is an entire plotline that never made it into video form because of the series being canceled. it was all recorded on stream, so it's still out there and is on Viking's vod channel, but if you weren't watching streams and were episode-only you would have no idea.
after Grady and Mongo started going mad with power via their knockoff OSHA, Viking formed a rival organization called the Infrastructural Oversight Union comprised of himself, Joy, Taneesha, Josh, and Legundo. as soon as it was formed, IOU began to fracture due to rising tensions between the members-- Viking was already on terse terms with Legundo, Joy and Taneesha kept screwing with Viking, Josh was building up to stuff with Joy i think, and Taneesha...
Taneesha never fully shook off the Void. while Shadow was on destructive rampages fueled by the chaotic energy he'd absorbed at the end of season 1, Taneesha was also dealing with urges to kill. she confided in Viking about it, seeing as they were pretty close, and Viking supported her and even let her kill him (although that didn't do much to hold it off). she started carrying around and placing End Crystals near people and trying to weasel her way out of it when people caught on to her being suspicious and, y'know, trying to kill people.
and then this happens.
Taneesha places down an End Crystal and steps away. Legundo doesn't notice. Viking, who is completely invisible, pops up out of the ground and snipes the End Crystal. Legundo is killed instantly. Taneesha is blamed for it.
and now, a year and a half later, we see that moment in an edited episode... in Skyblock Kingdoms.

i went insane in avid's comments again so here's the weekly wall of text:
the remodeled control room is supposed to get a stronger signal down into the Void-- and, potentially, to what's below it. everything glitches out like when Avid has flashbacks(?) to Limbo. Avid's confused, worried, and then glitches into his OSSHA uniform and is eerily calm. "They're not safe. I need to stop them. They can't fall in. If they fall in, I… I can't leave, I can't- I can save all of them. I will save all of them."
THEN WE HAVE THE MYSTERY ROOM. this has already been pointed out elsewhere in the comments, but that specific palette harkens back to areas under control by Olm, the Old One from the Avid Adventures series. there's a very memorable boss intro where you walk through a beautiful cathedral in darkness as tendrils of something worryingly fleshy spread across the walls and floor behind you. the fact that Olm's infection is here, of all places, is frightening-- and where IS here? is this part of OSSHA HQ? it's pretty hard to build hidden places in Skyblock, but… has this been here all along?
"Don't worry. I'll take care of you, Trog. You'll never fall in the Void again! None of them… will ever fall in the Void again." TROG'S BEEN TUBED!! THEY'VE BEEN PICKLED!! AAAUGH!! the worst part is, Trog might've been gone for a while! the last we've seen of them (in episodes / "in-character", anyway) was when they stopped by Cherry Kingdom to negotiate a trade deal, and that was… um. nearly three weeks ago. that would track with how oxidized their tube is, too.
and the thing is, Avid knows about Trog's trip to the Void. in Trog's POV, they reach the bottom of the Void, find someone there, and then get pulled back by the OSSHA station when Avid last turned on the machine. Trog told Avid about what they saw, and that might've been what spurred Avid into action to kidnap them: they got too close. Avid thinks he's protecting them (after all, the only reason they came back up was because of external influence-- what if they were trapped down there Forever? wouldn't that be awful? isn't that terrifying? Avid's doing them a favor, surely.) while his boss wants Trog out of the picture entirely before they can poke further into the carefully-constructed trap Avid is caught in.
there's still a lot to unpack that I don't have the keys to: "I can't leave", what exactly Avid saw or heard and why it pushed him to check in on Trog in stasis, how much time is lost between glitch segments (in the sense of "Avid is skipping from place to place, so we're probably skipping over things being said and things he's seeing as well"), if anyone else has been put in stasis yet.
