I loved the Day 3 update, the dynamic effects and text were phenomenal!❤️‍🔥 It completely went beyond my imagination, and my tears too!😭 I could fully feel the MC’s shock and confusion, and the new bad ending broke my heart 💔(in a good way). Everything, including the final surprise, was so well done and exciting. I'm really looking forward to Cheea's response to people's theories and details about Day 3✨👀 The update was truly amazing!😈💜

The panel was moderated. In attendance were John Epler, creative performance director Ashley Barlow, and the actors of Lucanis, Neve, Emmrich, and Harding - Zach Mendez, Jessica Clark, Nick Boraine, and Ali Hillis respectively.

John Epler on Emmrich: "I mean honestly, I will say, like, we expected a great reaction to Emmrich. Went beyond what we expected for sure. But it’s been fascinating to see, because again, Emmrich is this character, he’s more of the professorial, more, he brings a wisdom and kind of a calmness to the group, so even when things are at their worst, there’s that one person in the group who is kinda like, ‘okay, y’know, we've got, let's figure it out, let’s take a deep breath’. And just his journey through his character arc, and his interactions with the others, it’s been fantastic to see. Even just finding opportunities for him to bounce off the other characters, you know, the way he talks to Bellara, the way he talks to Neve, it’s all so different, but it’s also just, again, based around this core of this warm, kind-hearted, professorial necromancer. Which, again, is not something you see a lot of in media. I mean, usually, necromancers are depicted in a very specific way. But it’s been, it's awesome to see how Emmrich has grown and just, really one of the most, one of my favorite experiences has been just working with Emmrich’s writer, working with Emmrich as a character." Due to Covid-related lockdown, a lot of recording was done over Zoom, and the writers besides Ashley Barlow (creative performance director) would jump in on the call to talk about the previous person’s lines [source]

You can work with the Grey Wardens in the game (for example) [source]

The actors all met this weekend. They are an "un-chosen" family [source]

Zach stood in for multiple characters for mo-cap, for example he was Assan [source]

Lucanis has a heart but is stubborn and stuck in his ways. Zach is excited for fans to help his character open up as the story progresses [source]

Jessica is incredibly honored to join the DA universe. She is new to voice acting for video games. “This is play pretend. Playing Neve allowed her to step into her power.” [source]

A question was asked - "From your companion's perspective, which previous companion would you romance?" Zach kind of has a thing for The Iron Bull, saying "oh that awakened something inside of me". He also likes Dorian. Jessica was too overwhelmed to answer. Nick was also overwhelmed by the question, but thinks Solas is sexy [source] [source]

A question was asked - "Is DA:TV and DA:I streamlined together?" [paraphrased]. Answer: DA games are not as streamlined as Mass Effect and act almost as standalones [source]

The cast were asked about which aspect of their character is their favorite. Ali loves the little quirks about Harding. "Lucanis is a good cook!?" ** Neve is very dry and pretty closed off about it. For Emmrich, it's the "exploration of the idea of death and necromancy" [source] (** FINALLY CITATION for this? :D)

A question was asked: "How do you decide to introduce the lore in each game?" BioWare answered that it depends as they build each game. They always know the base lore, and see opportunities through game mechanics and characters. They try not to infodump [source]

A question was asked: "Any favorite party banter?" Ashley Barlow said to listen for "hand to bone combat" [source]

The game takes place approximately 10 years after the end of DA:I. You start the game hunting for Solas. The game is built on some core principles: be who you want to be in a world worth saving and with characters that matter. The companions are always at the heart of DA and they are at the heart of this game too. [source]

The moderator asked John Epler about what is bringing this party of people ("this rogues' gallery") together. John: "I mean, it's the end of the world, and each character that you bring into your party understands that the world is ending, that they need to stop that, and you're really building, what I would say is, more of a found family. Growing up sharing relatively small spaces with a sister and a mother has taught Simon many things. One of them is when to keep it down. He's quickly learned to ask himself just how much he can get away with, especially in the evening, when it's quiet in the house. And has quickly figured out that the answer is: not a lot.

Wille, very clearly, has never had to worry about these kinds of things. Wille is vocal to a fault, so much so that Simon has to regularly remind him that they're in his home, that there aren't thick palace walls, that there are, in fact, people one or two rooms over. It's a little heartbreaking every time, when they're panting into each other's mouths, when Wille is tangled up in Simon's arms looking so beautiful, so stunning, with his lips parted and eyes pressed shut, sweaty and gorgeous and feeling even better than he looks, and sounding... wonderful, lost in it, absolutely breathtaking, and Simon suddenly remembers, like a shock to the system, where they are, and rushes to clasp a palm over Wille's mouth, firm and quick and painfully apologetic. Hillerska is slightly better. Old buildings, thick walls, moments where they can be relatively sure that the other students are busy doing something else somewhere else. Hopefully. Simon loves listening to Wille then, sometimes intentionally presses his ear closer, against the side of his face, kisses whatever skin he can, takes in every moan and every breath and every word of encouragement, as close to the source of the sweet, sweet sounds as he can get. When they spend their first night in Wille's room, however, the first real night, Simon is surprised that Wille can be even louder than he's used to. When Simon sinks back against the bed, pliant and needy already, always losing the battle against coyness when he has all of Wille's wonderful naked skin on front of him, Wille crawls after him so quickly that Simon can't help but let out a laugh, feeling too light and airy to hold back, and Wille joins right in. Bellowing with laughter before he buries his face in the side of Simon's neck, busies that beautiful mouth of his with kissing and nipping at Simon's skin, instead. There's a strange excitement of newness to this, soft, silken sheets that Simon's never slept on before, let alone felt rustling against his naked skin. And there's a sense of relief, almost painfully palpable. Simon is happy to be here, not only under Wille, but in his bed, so fucking glad that, after a day of difficult but important conversations, of lunch and dinner spent in uncomfortably stiff clothes, he gets to have this. To squirm and move and rub against Wille, to hook his foot over Wille's leg, to urge him closer, to show him just how relieved he is.

But none of the joy, none of the giggles that burst out of him when they undressed, hurried and determined as ever, none of it could've prepared him for how Wille can sound, far away from any potential listeners. When Wille sidles down his body, sloppy kisses here and there, picking up Simon's hand and placing it on the back of his head, urging him to grab onto his hair, Simon sucks in a sharp breath. No matter how often he does this, no matter how many times Wille has already sucked him off, it never gets old. And yet, he didn't think Wille would be so different, so much more intense when there are no thin walls and mothers or annoying dorm mates getting in the way. The sounds he lets out as he works his mouth over Simon's cock are obscene. He's sloppier with it today, letting spit pool at the base of Simon's cock, not bothering to wipe it from his chin either when he looks up in between, and Simon has no idea how to handle this. He throws his head back, buries it in a ridiculously fluffy pillow, and lets out a long groan. In his internal battle, the conditioning to keep it down and keep it civil, to have half of his mind set on making sure he doesn't accidentally overstep, is hopelessly losing against the need to meet Wille where he's at.

Wille is being so beautifully open, so mindbogglingly unrestrained, and Simon can't sit back and hold back any longer. Wille comes back up, then sinks down again, a little too far, or maybe his hold on Simon's hips has weakened, allowed a sneaky thrust, Wille needs to pull off, coughing, sputtering, mumbling apologies. Simon can't fucking have that. With a tug on Wille's hair, he urges Wille back up, makes him crawl over him again, moans, almost unrestrained when he feels Wille's cock brush against him in the process. "No sorrys," Simon says before he pulls Wille down by the back of his neck, so he can kiss that preposterous idea right out of him. He tastes himself on Wille's tongue and feels the wetness of Wille's chin on his own skin and digs his toes into the soft fabric to stifle the desperate sound he feels tickling in the back of his throat. Wille doesn't. Doesn't hold back anything. Even less so than usual. He's breathy moans and soft little sounds that get less and less soft as he lowers down, grinds himself against Simon's thigh. And Simon is in no way built to withstand any of it.

With a strenuous noise the pulls one leg free, attempts to wrap it around Wille's hips, slides his hands lower on Wille's back to urge him on. Wille, beautiful and dishevelled and loud, tears his mouth from Simon's, leaning up on his elbows. He pauses for a second, allowing Simon to catch a good look, from where he's lying under him. Wild eyes and splotchy red cheeks and pink lips that he's biting on for a moment. "Do you want me to-" "Please..." Simon doesn't need to hear the full question. He just needs Wille to move and get inside him and make more of those wonderful, wonderful sounds that have Simon convinced that he'd let Wille do just about anything right now, if he just kept up being vocal about it. "Fuck," is what he says now, quick and broken, scrambling to crawl over towards the end of the bed, fishing around his haphazardly unpacked suitcase. Simon's heart beats a little faster as he watches the eager movements, still, months in, not completely used to the idea of being wanted so intensely. When Wille comes back up, breathing harder already and letting his eyes roam all over Simon's body, entirely unapologetic, Simon briefly has to close his eyes, prepare for the intensity that are Wille's eyes when they're like this, so close to sinking together that he can count down the minutes.

The dull thud of the bottle landing on the bed and the light crinkle of a wrapper make him open up his eyes again. Landing, as expected, on Wille's, deep and brown and dark and looking at him like he wants to take him apart and put him together again and learn every single part of him by heart. Without a second thought, Simon shifts, raises his legs up, pulls his knees to his chest and wraps his arms around them to keep them there. For a split second of Wille staring down at him in silence, just Simon's own heart beating out of his chest with want and excitement and a titillating trace of shame, Simon thinks he's being a little too much. But then Wille puts a palm on the back of Simon's thigh, stabilizes him, holds him right there, for Wille to look at, and Simon can tell it's just what he wanted. "Simon... ," he says, not a whisper, not a murmur, loud and unapologetic and broken. Simon only nods, then gasps when Wille trails a dry finger down his taint and presses against his hole, slow and careful and the perfect amount of pressure to rip a moan from Simon's throat. Loud enough for Wille to pull away, rushing to slick up his fingers and rub the excess over Simon's skin.

Wille opens him up the way he always does now, now that they know what works, know what feels best, using one, the quickly adding a second finger before Simon even has the chance to whine for more. He takes his time with two, almost too slow, dragging it out in a way that Simon knows is a lot of self-indulgence and a good amount of overcautiousness on Wille's part. But when he finally pulls out again, shooting Simon a pleading look to help him with the condom wrapper, Simon is quick to forgive, impatience giving way to anticipation. Today, as Wille pushes into him, slow and steady and so perfectly warm and heavy and him that Simon feels it all the way down in the tips of his toes, there's a grunt, loud and shameless, and then a beautiful string of curses, drawn-out and raspy and curling around Simon's ear in a way that makes him shiver. Once he bottoms out, sinking deliciously against Simon, urging a whine of wanting-more and yet aching-to-stay-like-this out of him, the partially unintelligible cloud of words clears up into praise that he showers Simon with. "So perfect," he works out with a groan, biceps straining where he's holding himself up above Simon. "You feel so good, Simon..." Simon keens, grip on his knees weakening with the need to reach for Wille and pull him down and in and on top of him. But he only nods, eyelids stuttering when Wille pulls back only to sink forward again, deeper even.

"Shit," Simon gasps, overwhelm and gratefulness and a dangerous amount of heat for the moment they're in swirl in his belly. With a shift of his weight down onto his elbows, Wille is closer now, is feeling heavy and firm and glorious on top of Simon. Simon seizes his chance, wraps his legs around Wille, hands moving to his back and nape instead. He nearly sees stars when Wille gives another thrust, more sure now, reading Simon's body, his reactions, like he always does, knowing just how to make every hair on his body stand. Another shift of Wille's hips, a change of angle, and Simon is dragging blunt fingernails down the ridges of Wille's spine.

"Wille...," he stutters, words all gone from his brain, when he hears, feels, Wille hum loudly next to his ear. He does it again, gives another thrust that has warmth and sparks and spikes coursing through Simon's body, before he speaks. "Louder...," Wille says, whines cries, begs almost and Simon whips around, trying and failing to find his face. Instead, he feels him pick up the pace, and scratches another line down his back. "Please," Wille tries again, voice booming in the room. "'s just us, please, you can-" He interrupts himself with a moan when Simon shifts and meets Wille's movement halfway. The desperation in Wille's voice sinks deeply into Simon, takes hold there, unwedges a long groan that's nestled itself in his chest. Wille responds like Simon has given him the greatest gift.

"Yeah," he moans, face buried somewhere in the nook of Simon's neck, hips stuttering once, then, oh, getting right back, pushing in and out of Simon deliciously. "Sound so good," Wille mumbles next to his ear. "Sounds so-" Simon clenches around him, a trick he only recenlty learnt to apply, relishing the moan that Wille's sentence melts into. "You, too," Simon rushes to add, cheeks burning with exertion and the admission that, fuck, this is doing things to him, this has bin toeing the line already, has him fighting against the pressure deep within that shakes loose with every single gasp and grunt and moan Wille sighs into his skin. "Yeah?" Wille sounds breathless when he lifts his head up, searching and finding Simon's eyes. Simon blinks at him, every well-placed thrust making his world a little fuzzier around the edges. Simon bites his lip out of instinct, then suddenly feels Wille's thumb on his bottom lip, freeing it just as he pulls back further than before, and fills Simon right up again, a breathless second later. The noise tumbling from Simon's mouth is pathetic and garbled and so loud he's afraid it's gonna reverberate. But before he can follow down the line of thought, Wille is kissing him, is kissing him hard and wet and dirty and moving in a way that is pushing the breath right out of his lungs. Simon, for the first time, comes with a choked off cry of Wille's name on his lips.
