“Shadow.. I’ve been thinking.”

A corner of his lips tug upwards, “Oh? That’s never good.”

Huffing, you push his shoulder playfully, “You’re so mean! How could you hurt my fragile feelings.”

He chuckles at your dramatic display, shaking his head. “Fine. I’ll bite. What is on your mind?”

“It’s been a long while since our last kiss,” you state matter of factly.

Shadow averts his gaze, clearing his throat. “That’s not true. I gave you one yesterday”

“Doesn’t count! That one was on my forehead,” you protest. A step forward and your arms cling around his neck causing him to look at you. You give your best puppy dog eyes before asking, “Pleaaasse? Just one.”

Closing his eyes, Shadow thinks for a moment. Damn it, he should be used to this by now. You’ve been dating for how long? Half a year?

He relents, pulling you closer by the hips. “Okay, you win.”

Leaning up, you pull him in for a kiss. At first, Shadow was rigid, like pushing stone. He was certainly nervous about messing this up despite doing this multiple times. Lips connecting and smoothing gliding over each other. He can feel your gleeful smile against his mouth. Heat pools into your cheeks, causing it to ache.

When you open your eyes, his own stares back at yours lovingly. You two barely part, leaving a centimeter gap. Shadow whispers to you, breath tickling your skin, “Another.”

He pulls you back in, holding you tighter, pressing you closer. A quiet moan, almost inaudible escapes him. You can feel his chest beating faster and faster against your own. Shadow quickly forgets why he was tense in the first place. Your lips perfectly melts onto his. Brain turns to mush as you focus on the sensation. Soft. Needy.

You two part for air, lightly panting from the lack of oxygen. Your arms slide from behind him and land in his chest. He cups your cheek pressing a quick smooch on your lips. His hand slithers around and finds its way to the back of your neck. Fingers intertwining with your hair. “More…” he pleads, leaning down to capture your lips once again.

Shadow kisses you with urgency, as if he’s running out of time. As if this would be the last time. His tongue swipes against you, asking for entry. When you attempted to pull away and tease him, he grunts in displeasure and chases you. His hand against your neck acting as a wall. A smug grin can’t help but form on your face. Another swipe against your lips. You allow him in and your muscles tango. Effortlessly your tongues mingle eliciting a moan from you. You are like a drug Shadow cannot get enough of. The only thing on his mind was you.

The more you two kissed, the harder it was to breathe. When he pulls away, you had to bite back a whimper. Both of you were heavily panting as Shadow rests his forehead against yours. The lack of oxygen made you feel dizzy and on cloud nine. Eyes lock and a minute passes without a word.

Shadow leans in close to the shell of your ear and whispers, “Just one more..? ” before nibbling on it.

You howl with laughter and lightly hit his chest. With a peck on his cheek you reply, “Shads… You are insatiable!”

I love people feeling so much love and adoration for something, no matter how big or small, how popular or obscure, that they can't help but to create. To create and to express themselves, to take what is there and mould it to their liking, to transform and to praise. And in turn inspiring others, both with their shared interests and passion to create. Creating a constant cycle of ideas and inspiration.

For is that not the very core of the human experience? To love and express yourself and share it with a community. It's something people have always done and will always continue to do and I think there is truly nothing more beautiful than that.
