Imagine, Akira, on a sleepless night, you know, those when you are too tired to get up but your eyes don't like to stay closed

He starts remembering, because the brain loves to ramble when there's nothing to do but everything to think, and he just, goes back, and back, and back and because a tired brain doesn't stop itself from getting hurt he remembers a vague memory of the first time he saw Akechi

Not in the TV studio, but earlier on, when he was walking to school, and he wonders, if Akechi was on his way too, or if he had just come from seeing Shido, wasn't it close to the Subway? Had Akechi just come from a mission of-

... Was Akechi out of a mission every time they met in the Subway? Did it ever happen like that? Did he ever talked to him after ending a life...?

Did Akechi, know from the first time their eyes actually landed on each other, that he'll have to get rid of him one day?

Did the pancakes incident always been a part of the plan? Was it ever really just an honest mistake? Had Akechi actually tried to just talk with someone else that time?

How much of them going out together was part of the plan, was telling him about his mother part of it? Was waiting for him at LeBlanc also part of it? Was... Their duel, their promise... Part of it?

Probably not, but then, when did Akechi start to make those openings mistakes to him, were they intentional, did Akechi ever felt secure confortable weak enough around him to just... want to actually tell him about it?

When did the superficial part of their relationship that they both at some point clinged to, became just a mask too? When did they allow the other to run rip so deep into their soul, into them?

Akechi's insomia trows the same questions to him, when did Akira became such an important person task to him?

When was the first time he ever doubted himself, the first time something inside of him was ever unsure weak enough to know he'll doubt?

When did he start to care have feelings for not want to continue with it?

Was it when he actually saw the blood dripping out of the shadow? Before actually entering the room? That same day when he returned to his appartment and he felt guilt regret sadness grief weird about it?

When did he ever thought wished hoped regreted about having met him earlier?

When... When did he forget his mission? Was their duel? Was the aquarium? The coffee? The bath? When did they just spent time together in jazz jin?

When did Akira dug into his heart mind space and refused to leave?
