Forsaken Headcanon - The C00lgui

It is often said in the fandom that 007n7 doesn't have access to the CoolGUI in Forsaken because the Spectre has restricted 007n7's access to the functions in the thing. Nerfing most of the items in it's command bank and leaving 007n7 with 2-4 main options.

To me, my head-canon is different.

007n7's C00lGUI is not restricted because the Spectre nerfed it's functions- it's restricted because 007n7 limited his own functions.

I personally think that the Spectre would potentially get bored enough to WANT 007n7 to bring his full GUI into the game. Because it's just another recipe for suffering. Which the spectre seems to favor so.

Here's some info about my head-canon in regards to the C00lGUI

007n7's C00lGUI in Forsaken is called 'CoolGUI Mini 1.5.0'

C00lGUI Mini 1.5.0 is a very-slightly more functionable version of C00lGUI.Jr (Which, according to some fandom sources, is what C00lkidd uses)

The C00lGUI has had several versions. Mainstream, Scrapped, Outdated, Lost, and Replicas. (Believe it or not, there is a whole wiki dedicated to this)

007n7 utilized C00lGUI versions 1.0.0 , 2.0.0 and 3.0.0 during his era as one of Roblox's worst hackers, exploiters, and Trolls (Which, in universe is his college years. (In my head-canon it's 20-26) Which is a partial college duration, and then some time after dropping out.

After the discovery of C00lkidd, 007n7 gave up exploiting.

During his Exploiting Years, 007n7 was highly emotionally volatile, and he was probably one of the biggest douchebags to ever exist. He was pushy, manipulative, and selfish. -> Most of this stemmed from a lack of guidance. Yearning for control in a life where he didn't get to control what happened to or around himself. As well as getting picked on and singled out by others.

During exploits, he didn't intentionally harm anyone, even if he destroyed buildings, and some people's livelihoods. Due to being emotionally unstable, and socially dense- He never considered the effects of emotional distress. -> Not having intent to kill or physically harm other players is the ONLY reason 007n7 never got sent to the ban-lands.

-> Discovering Coolkidd is the reason 007n7 walked away from his previous lifestyle. Coolkidd was originally going to be dumped at an orphanage- but when 007n7 walked back the next morning (more than 12 hours later) and found the child still outside, and very hungry and distressed- he took him back.

-> 007n7 and Noli had a falling out, prompting Noli to disappear.

-> 007n7 had turned himself in after that point. The admins had given him a specialized ankle monitor to let them know if he started using the C00lGUI again.

-> Being ever-versed in coding the C00lGUI 3.5.0 was scrapped and abandoned somewhere in 007n7's computer.

-> Having the reputation that 007n7 had, he knew him getting help would not be an option in a community where he had caused so much trouble. This Prompted 007n7 to create the C00lGUI Mini. 007n7 actually went to Roblox HQ and got the Mini Version inspected, and appraised by the Admins.

-> Builderman was going to not allow it, however, Shedletsky intervened and decided that to take a step forward- there had to be faith on both sides. So Shedletsky investigated the C00lGUI mini, approved it, and allowed it to be used.

-> (This step technically wasn't necessary, Because 007n7 def could have coded an undetectable version of it, he did it because he felt it was the right way to go.)

-> To keep himself from using the C00lgui again, 007n7 set up an outdated firewall. He can access it, he knows how, but it takes a lot of effort to do so.

The Spectre does not have access to 007n7's C00lGUI. That's why he influences C00lkidd to use his own.

Unlike the 'Lost' 'Scrapped' or 'Deleted' Versions of the C00lGUI, and the Unfinished 3.5.0, CoolGUI Mini and CoolGUI JR do not have the firewall.

The Spectre is able to Insert commands into the C00lGUI JR because of the hold it has over CoolKidd. IE the Incinerate Command (Which is the one that CoolKidd sets 007n7 on fire with) -> This command, as far as I could tell, was not seen on any C00lGUI official versions.

The Spectre is not the reason that 007n7 CANNOT use the C00lgui at it's full extent. 007n7 is the reason. He refuses to bring back the bigger command board.

Reason: In the first couple weeks of being stuck in Forsaken proved to be a harsh realization period. 007n7 took down the firewall ONCE to try and make his C00lGUI more useful for survival and helping out other survivors.... the second he let the code back out into the open- it started to mess with 007n7.

-> 007n7 started to get massive headaches, as well as his memory being affected, and he ended up coding in some of the older, more heinous commands without realizing it. Such as 'Kill All' , "Flood Map' and "Ban player"

007n7 only ever tried this once. Realizing the toll it took on him, and what could have happened- 007n7 re-locked anything more advanced than C00lGUI Mini Behind a Firewall.

The Spectre did not like this, and it wishes to gain access to 007n7's C00lGUI again.

The Spectre discovered the lingering code of C00lGUI 3.5.0, and more-so that there was a bit of sentience behind the code. Which he plans to use to his advantage if given the chance.

The C00lGUI is one of the most potential resources in the game, and The Spectre craves chaos. It knows it's only a matter of time, and waiting for a desperate man who is willing to right his wrongs.

-> CoolGUI Version 4.0.0 is the finished version of 3.5.0

-> Eventually, the CoolGUI actually started to eat itself through the firewall. This is what the Spectre amping up it's game and leaving 007n7 no choice but to try and find a way to help his fellow survivors.

-> The C00lGUI is semi-sentient. It doesn't have an agenda, nor malicious intent or hone grudges. Despite this, it has a constant yearning to re-connect with it's creator. It's only want is to 'consume' and be used.

-> The C00lGUI attached itself to 007n7 directly. Kind of like a parasite. Knowing it was impossible to get the firewall back, 007n7 had to make several long lines of code to force-inject into the C00lGUI. This string of code was connected to the 'Ban Player' Button.

-> The 'Ban Player' button was force connected to the Forsaken Realm as a whole. Upon being pressed- the button forces the other players out of the Forsakened Realm. This included the killers.

-> This command had to be hidden carefully in the code so the Spectre couldn't purge it from the GUI Board, or even try to. (There's no guarantee the Spectre could have even succeeded)

-> After everyone is banned from the Forsaken Realm, it locks them out. There is no getting back inside due to the command strip basically being the same as an IP ban.

-> This basically leaves the corrupt version of 007n7 and The Spectre locked in the world by themselves. With Spectre unable to leave to find more victims.

-> NPC's stayed in the forsaken realm. As, in my headcanon, they are extractions of characters the Spectre has seen before- but not captured. So it made a replica of them to be 'placeholders' in the game. Otherwise known as filler.

-> In order to keep himself from being able to escape, 007n7 managed to override his own placement in the Spectre's game, and set himself as an 'NPC' so he didn't get banned with the other actual players. So the CoolGUI and he, himself say in the Forsakened realm.

When Hal became the Spectre, he ran into one problem. Namely, the Champion of Magic. Or to be more precise, the fucking Champion of Magic was Captain Marvel!

And it turns out that Captain Marvel was a homeless twelve-year-old kid.

Hal:....

Billy:...

Hal:...

Billy:...Can I explain this?

Hal also had to deal with a bunch of unruly mages who wouldn't listen to anyone. Except Captain Marvel. Hal had seen mages hide behind Marvel dozens of times. Even under his cape! Isn't that what kids do? Hal knew most mages were traumatized, but not enough to consider a twelve year old boy a parent?

Hal: They know?

Billy: *sweats*

The mages were always breaking some rule. Not very important, but rules. And Hal had to punish them. And then he finds out what a protective twelve-year-old with the powers of the Gods can be.

Hal: Marvel, their spells hurt people.

Marvel: I understand, but they fixed it. We even compensated those people! I will deprive them of their summoning abilities for a week.

Hal: A month.

Marvel: A week and a half.

Hal: Three weeks.

Marvel: Two weeks.

Hal: Two and a half.

Marvel: Good. But you will not send nightmares to them.

Hal: Good. Now get to it.

The kneeling mages only sigh in defeat and prepare for their punishment.

And there are many such cases. Sometimes the arguments about punishment lasted for hours, and somewhere only a few minutes. The magicians always clung to the edge of Marvel's cloak and looked guiltily at the ground, except for Constantine, that bastard looked angrily at Hal.

Marvel: Gods! John, what did I tell you about alcohol?!

Drunk John: Don't drink too much.

Marvel: And what did you do?

John: Drank too much.

Marvel: Go back to the House of Mystery, we'll talk when you're sober. You're being punished, young man.

Hal:*holds the guilty wizard and looks at this scene* Is it always like this?

Mage: Yes, John likes to drink, and Pa... I mean, the Champion doesn't like his habit. But you should have seen the fight between Marvel and Doctor Fate. Last time, a supernova was almost born.

Hal even felt a little sorry for Billy, who had to maintain the fragile balance between the world of magic and the ordinary world. And Hal knew very well how afraid everyone else was of magic. Even he hadn't been very fond of it before.

Hal: When was the last time you slept?

Billy: Three days ago. I have a new war on the horizon. I need to prepare for peace talks or my first battle.

Hal: Billy, you're twelve.

Billy: *smiles bitterly* A Champion has no age. He only has duties. But thank you for your concern.

If the next day the kings made a peace treaty, then Hal vehemently denies his involvement in it. Billy don't look at him like that. He just talked to them, honestly!

When Hal becomes human again, his view of Marvel changed forever. Now he constantly asked when Billy rested, or what he ate. Marvel grumbled, but answered, and Batman became more suspicious.

Batman: The captain's late again.

Hal: Don't worry, Spooky, he's just busy with family matters.

Batman: What?

Hal: Two demons are rampaging through Hell again, and Marvel is just up against them again.

Hal's knowledge of Marvel is driving Bruce crazy, and it's not just Bruce. The entire League is worried about it, too. Especially when Hal walks up to Marvel and pats him on the back and whispers something. That's what Superman heard.

Hal: Are you okay?

Marvel: I'm fine. I'm not a little guy.

Hal: Don't lie to me, I know who's behind that big man.

Marvel: I'll erase you from the plane of existence.

Hal: I know you won't do it.

Hal knew the identity of the Captain. But from where? And how did he know? Was it somehow connected to the time when they thought he was dead? Hal began to treat Marvel like a father. He even ruffled his hair, even though Marvel was much taller than Hal.

Hal didn't pay attention to the looks of his colleagues. He just wanted to give Billy at least a little parental love. Something the boy lost very early. Even if Billy is stubborn, Hal does not give in. He wants to give this brave child at least something normal.
