replaying ace attorney and dahlia hawthorne is getting to me. girl who clings to control until her nails chip and bleed but she will never have it. girl who needs everyone else around her to lose and yet she fails constantly, constantly, over and over. girl who never stood a chance. girl who was always the worst version of herself. the worst version of who she could have been. when did it become her fault?

Little analysis but this episode, in my eyes, was about learning about letting yourself be loved. Pomni starts the epsiode by complaing about the "bonding activity" she was having with everyone, being dragged to a adventure right after.

A lot happens, and then she's stuck with the guy everyone calls 'crazy' and can't keep a normal conversation, so she doesn't listen to him much, she thinks he won't be much help and tries escaping all by herself, that of course, backfires and now they're in hell.

She has another crisis, but then she finally stops to listen, she lets Kinger speak and his words leave a mark on her, because he isn't crazy, on the contrary, he's trying not to go crazy by clinging onto happy memories, as unconventional as they are. He cares about her and offers a friendly hand, she's nervous, but takes it anyway, because she's accepting help, she's trusting on someone besides herself, not a NPC, but someone human.

And of course, she finishes by thanking Ragatha for always being kind to her, because Kinger is right, you never know when they'll go crazy, so better enjoy every moment. She isn't quite there yet, but she's getting closer to open up to these people, letting them love her and allowing herself to befriend them, even if their time together is short, it's still precious and she shouldn't lose it.

WRITING UPDATE-

Chapter 18 is done just going through beta but my beloved beta has several huge milestones (so so very proud <33) so they're busy with boss shit as of rn- which means official upload date is still in the air

BUT in the meantime I will start to be sharing more of the chapter updated versions!!, responding to comments/asks, AND sharing some sneak peaks of renders, extras, and especially as ive already begun working on 19 and am very very excited for this next "chapter" of the story (also perhaps finally an update to mama bird and the sweet 16 stories-)

Astro would have cosmos power and HATES it. He's tired all the time and so fed up with everyone bc what do you MEAN you got hit. Sounds like a skill issue to him.

And sprout is the stamina buddy and for the first time ever enjoys a run before he's so stressed by realizing the healers don't know how to heal properly and proactively and the distractor is too busy screaming at brightney bc if she gets in his way one more fucking time-
