It seems a little hilarious to me that they have Cassian making the argument that the only reason any of them are here, the only reason the REBELLION exists at all, is because of Luthen... and he's saying it to BAIL FUCKING ORGANA.
I'm sorry, but while I am happy to accept that Luthen did do a LOT of things to keep the rebellion alive and likely recruited quite a few of the people on Yavin to this cause himself and trained them up, there are just as many if not more who are there explicitly because of BAIL ORGANA.
Bail Organa who began fighting the Empire the moment he showed up at the Jedi Temple the night of Order 66 and turned around to save any Jedi he could and then became a GETAWAY DRIVER as Yoda went to assassinate the Emperor and then proceeded to agree to take in Anakin Skywalker's child in order to hide her from the Empire.
Bail Organa who has literally been shown helping recruit the entire Ghost Crew and likely brought on the entire Phoenix Squadon and theoretically the entire Gold Squadron. Bail Organa who was the one who helped Riyo Chuchi try to fight for clone rights. Bail Organa who saw Ahsoka Tano on Naboo for Padme's funeral and immediately turns around to offer her a chance to join the rebellion which she does eventually choose to take. Bail Organa who eventually does allow his own DAUGHTER to join the rebellion and run missions when she's old enough.
You cannot convince me that somehow Luthen Rael is MORE responsible for the creation of the rebellion and its existence and people's involvement in it than Bail Organa. You can't.

I can't even convey how much I love the idea of angst AUs where the Rebels unwittingly put their Fulcrum in danger. Like 1) they don't know Kallus is Fulcrum and 2) they might not even know that he's present on whatever ship/base they attack. Personally, I just think Kallus reappearing with his face heavily scarred from friendly fire, would be so interesting. Especially 'cause it could show his growth as a person that he most likely wouldn't blame the rebellion and would view it as a worthy sacrifice

Operation Annihilate hurts more if you've seen Discovery because Spock does understand what it's like to lose a sibling.
I haven't seen Discovery yet, but I'll admit that my personal experience of TOS and interpretations of what it was doing with its characters and themes in the 60s are very deliberately not informed by the decades of much-later retcons of the original show. Spock in particular*, I think, has been targeted hard by retcons ever since they reset his entire character arc in 1979, and I feel like the later generations of Obligatory Spock Appearances that I have seen (in AOS and SNW) keep ever-more-drastically losing sight of what made him compelling in the first place, across a lot of different axes (including his flawless eyeshadow and narratively central homoeroticism :\).
I don't want to sound hostile or aggressive about the ask at all, though! I didn't mind receiving it, and I don't have any grievance with Discovery fans or people who do feel the need to try to reconcile all the different major Star Trek projects with each other, as long as they don't show up in TOS fans' notes to lecture us on how we've got to engage with ST their way.
I do get "well actually, in [other ST thing] it turns out" on a pretty regular basis, though, so—well, I'm only rambling further about this because I have quite a few new ST followers and want to be clear about what to expect. I'm not trying to attack anyone outside the corporate media hellscape.
I like other Treks than TOS, but I am fundamentally very opposed to the X Cinematic Universe media franchise world where every story in a setting must be perceived as part of a single consistent narrative all the other stories are hammered into, and you've got to keep up with all these different, largely independent projects to truly understand The Whole Story. I'm like, nope, Paramount/Disney/whomever isn't the boss of me, and for me, the TOS movies are kind of the Aeneid of Star Trek to TOS's Iliad, and Prodigy is, like ... uh, Troilus and Criseyde in this analogy, and otherwise, /shrug. It's like, all three texts are fantastic, and I'm intrigued by how the latter two texts talk to each other and to Homer, but they are all very, very different and I have no interest in forging a grand unified narrative of the Trojan War in my head. So it is with Star Trek for me!
I'm not only like this with Star Trek btw—I'm the same with Star Wars (and Lucasfilm is even more aggressive than Paramount about pushing every single thing as integral to The Whole Story). In general, this is just how I as a person respond to fundamentally separate storytelling projects that engage with an ostensible shared setting or shared characters or whatnot.
(I'm not really fannish about any other part of ST, so I didn't bother finding Matter of Troy analogues for TNG/etc, though I enjoy them enough in a non-fannish way.)
So anyway, all of that is to say: for my personal experience and interpretation of how TOS characterizes Spock, it's actually important to me that he really was every bit as isolated his entire life as TOS indicates, until he joined Starfleet and especially until the five-year mission.
For me, Spock's guilt over Amanda in TOS and the stakes of the fraught dynamic between them are deeply bound up in him being her only child (and not only by blood). For me, the "no bigotry on the bridge" scene in "Balance of Terror" really is the first time Spock has had a relationship with anyone who would advocate for him in that way. I see TOS Spock as the child of two parents who care about him but have always been far more preoccupied with each other and themselves, and as someone who was wholly ostracized by all his peers on Vulcan, and who even among the somewhat more welcoming humans, has been continually disrespected in very, very racialized ways.
And for me, part of the heartbreak of that Spock moment in "Operation: Annihilate!" is that TOS Spock and Kirk do have wildly different histories apart from both being bullied, and Spock has never experienced anything like this grief. Spock never had a Sam in his life, nor an Aurelan (who Kirk seems to have been close to as well), nor a Peter and the other two boys who implicitly didn't make it. Spock has spent his life fundamentally alone. But he also has never experienced the kind of horrific losses Kirk has, either—family members, immediate communities, and entire swaths of planetary populations lost, just hundreds or thousands of people ripped away over and over and over while Kirk watches or finds them afterwards.
Something important about Kirk and Spock's relationship to me, though, is that they don't have to personally experience the other's life to profoundly understand and connect to each other in the way they both desperately need. This is one of the reasons they're closer to each other than to any of their other friends or colleagues (something explicitly stated in TOS multiple times). And in S1, I think we really see that evolution with Spock in particular, where in early episodes like "The Enemy Within," he might unbend enough to say, "If I seem insensitive to what you're going through, captain, understand it's the way I am," but by the season finale, he reciprocates Kirk's accommodation of his cultural norms when it really matters.
I think TOS Spock tries to express his compassion in an emotional, human-normative way, down to the phrasing, because at this point, he prioritizes Kirk's suffering at such a time above his own values and preferences. It's more important to reach out to Kirk in Kirk's terms than to Be Vulcan About It, until Kirk needs him to be Vulcan about it. The instant that Kirk makes it clear that he can't deal with human sympathy and needs something productive to focus on, Spock instantly shifts gears to Being Useful because that's what Kirk needs from him, even when it is excruciatingly painful or risks blindness or ... really, anything.
-
*Kirk, notoriously, is also hit super hard by pop culture-filtered characterization retcons from The Wrath of Khan onwards and especially in AOS, well beyond the AU premise. But I think the subtler discomfort seen in modern ST re: TOS Spock as a masculine figure is nearly as egregious.

Then the rumours started. There was a new leader of the Empire alongside Darth Sidious. He was as strong, as violent and as calculating as the Emperor. But far more unstable and uninhibited.
He was efficient and brutal, and thrived in the chaos. He was Sidious' Apprentice, protector and vicious attack dog. He was strong with the Force, wielding a red lightsaber and black Jedi cloak, single handedly winning battles that 600 Stormtroopers struggled to take part in. He was the most effective war General anyone had ever seen, being able to implement strategies learnt from the Republic, the Separatists and the infinite number of complex battles during The Clone Wars.
He was the best pilot in the Galaxy, engaging in illegal races and tournaments for fun, always winning and often leaving no survivors in his wake. He was impulsive, feral and controlling, barely under the thumb of the Emperor, who allowed him freedom just enough to be able to pull him in line when it mattered for his Galaxy. Every time Obi-Wan heard another of these rumours he added it to the mental image of Darth Vader he was collating.
It had to be Anakin, there was no other person in the Galaxy who could be all of these powerful ideals at once and still be under the control of an Emperor .
Only Anakin would allow himself to be enslaved to another, by willingly handing the end of his leash to a monster like Sidious.
Only Anakin would be so unstable that he needed to be commanded in order to let go.

Been kind of wanting to do this for a bit? I know I have their more basic ones out on here, but I was inspired by several mutuals ( @kandykatz for sure, among others. You know who you are :P) and how they present their info, soooo...might as well give it a shot (and add a l'il Kiki flavor to it, hahaha).
Will be below a "read more", since there's a decent amount of them' will also include a link to their F.I.L.E.S.- which is a bit more in-depth bio. if you want to read up more on them. For these ones, you're prooobably going to have to click on them to read them better, some of the writing got a little small. ^^' Either way, if you need any info on these goobers, for whatever reason, theeeen this is your post.

The paultryk stans are dying for some nsfw content aka me just me I beg for more 🫧🖤
I love writing for Paul and Pat man they're so underrated, we really need more characters that so fucking silly, we need more goofy idiots, more absolute fools. So I'm always happy to provide! (Nsft past this point, proceed at your own risk)
Paul pretty much ran back to his quarters once he got back, he didn't care how it looked or what the other soldiers would think if they saw him. He had been out getting supplies with Yuu when he got a call from red leader. Patrick also worked today but he was on an actual mission instead of just maintenance jobs. Their cover got blown and Pat didn't know at first so they were able to spike his drink with an aphrodisiac. It was likely just an attempt to make it harder for him to be a threat, but thankfully they made it back fine.
Tord didn't give him much information over the phone, just that he should get back quickly. He'd done the examination himself, after all Patrick was one of his most important soldiers and a close friend, he wanted to make sure he was alright.
Paul tried to be quiet as he opened the door to their bedroom, their living quarters were nicer than most of the others simply because they were high ranking. They didn't even have to have any bunkmates if they didn't want to, Paul and Pat just liked sharing a room though.
Pat was laying in the bed but he wasn't asleep, just shifting and trying to get comfortable, but honestly it felt impossible like this. He was happy to see Paul though, the shorter shutting the door behind him and walking up to the bed to put a hand on his lover's face, mostly to check if he was warm. "Hey, I'm here" he spoke softly, Pat smiling a bit and leaning up to meet his lips in a gentle kiss.
One thing Patrick would always appreciate so much about his boyfriend was that while he was often silly and more laid back in a way that helped Pat balance out some, he also knew just how to be serious when it mattered. The kiss was short, and incredibly sweet and tender, Paul breaking the connection but not moving away from the other "So what's going on? Are you gonna be ok?"
Pat swallowed thickly and nodded "Y-yeah, I'm gonna be fine, Tord said it was some kind of aphrodisiac, but there's nothing we can do to stop it" his already rather flushed cheeks just went more red as he explained, again shifting his legs under the covers. Paul nodded sympathetically, he wanted to hug his boyfriend and squeeze him, but didn't know if that would make it worse, it was so nice to know he was ok though.
"alright, good, is there anything I can do to help then?" He offered with a little smile, but the taller just blushed deeper, ears bright red at this point "Uh, well... Tord said that as far as he knew there would be no harm in... Indulging" obviously it was terribly embarrassing, but he was so hard it hurt and felt like he was on fire, desperate to have his boyfriend's cool hands on his body. Paul laughed softly, getting on the bed as well, on his knees over his boyfriend who stared up at him with his beautiful green eyes.
"You want me to touch you? Do you think it will help?" Patrick nodded quickly, and in truth sure he had absolutely no idea if it would but his body was begging for it. Paul shifted some and sure enough he could feel the taller man's erection under him in the blankets. "Why don't you say please then?" He smirked slightly as he started gently removing the covers from Pat.
The look he received from his lover told him right away that it was not the fucking time, and he backed down right away, doing his best not to laugh "alright alright, I'm sorry. But you shouldn't act so proud, you know you'll be begging later, I bet I won't even have to tell you to" he smirked as he spoke, gently running his hands down Pat's ribcage making him shudder as he mumbled "sh... Shut up"
Paul knew that he likely wasn't in the mood to be toyed with, laughing softly and getting comfortable between his legs once the covers were out of the way. The shorter leaned in to place a kiss on Pat's chest, said man turning a deep shade of red. He didn't say anything, but his lover had a sneaking suspicion he just didn't wanna admit that Paul had been right
Paul's rough hands squeezed and caressed the taller's hips for a moment before gently taking his leaking cock in one hand, giving a little sigh and mumbling "oh sweetheart..." an expression of sympathy settling on his features before glancing back up to Pat's face as he started carefully stroking the shaft "will you hand me the lube love?" The other soldier didn't say anything, just quickly reaching into the drawer next to their bed and handing Paul the bottle.
He was thanked with a kiss on the cheek, which doubled as an apology for having to let his dick go for the moment. Sure enough Pat seemed very sad, but just gave a sad desperate huff and laid down completely again. The shorter opened the lubricant, pouring some on his fingers, then some directly onto his boyfriend's cock making him jump a bit.
"Calm down, don't worry, I'll take care of you~" He spoke sweetly, using his clean hand to take Pat's twitching member again to start stroking again, much more comfortably now with the lube. "O-oh, oh Paul~" He breathed, biting his lip and moaning softly, seeming beyond relieved to finally receive the stimulation he was so desperate for.
"That's right" Paul said softly, having the other spread his legs a little more before slipping two fingers in which earned him a very happy sounding gasp. He stroked Pat with the same pace that he moved his fingers, gently stretching him and opening him up as he moaned and buried his face and the pillow next to him, gripping it tight with one hand. He was even more responsive than usual, it was cute though.
The lanky soldier melted when he added a third, it felt so unbelievably good but the pressure from before wasn't being released, if anything it felt like it was building up more. "F-fuck... Paul, more, please" he requested softly, peeking out of the pillow to give his lover a desperate look that was impossible to refuse.
Paul was searching for the man's prostate as he curled his fingers and received a loud moan. He felt Pat's cock twitch in his hand as he found the little bundle of nerves, the polish man nearly screaming into the pillow as he bucked his hips. The shorter only got to press against it once more before Pat came, blowing his load all over the pilots hand with a sweet and shaking moan.
He was breathing heavily, staring at the ceiling with hazy eyes before gently letting them flutter shut. He could feel feel his fantastic lover gently stroking him through his orgasm. Though the dull green eyes shot open when he felt the fingers pull out of him and Paul's hand let his dick go. He quickly sat up a bit, urgency in his eyes as he did "w-wait don't st-" "I know, I know" Paul quietly hushed him, having only taken his hand back to take his own pants off.
"I've got you..." The mumbled as he pressed his completely hard dick against Pat's hole, watching as he calmed back down, nodding quickly and spreading his legs more. The shorter took that as a sign that it was fine, pushing inside of him relatively slowly and watching as Patrick threw his head back.
"Oh fuck- P-Paul more, please" he was panting, and Paul didn't hesitate to comply with the request, pushing it the rest of the way in moving right away, holding his hips as he gave a few long hard thrusts. Patrick arched his back and squeezed his eyes shut, one hand grabbing desperately onto the blanket and the other coming up to hold Paul's shoulder, gripping tight and pulling him a little closer.
The soldier moaned and cried out every time Paul shoved it inside of him. He whimpered and spread his legs further, not looking his lover in the eyes as he panted, sheepishly asking him to go faster. The shorter felt his heart flutter in his chest listening to the sweet tone of Pat's voice. Paul just thought he sounded so cute, he sped up right away, earning a loud, gorgeous moan with his name comfortably laced in.
He felt his lover's legs hook around his waist, only encouraging him to go harder. Patrick felt like his skin was on fire everywhere his boyfriend's hands touched him and it was the most addicting feeling in the world. He needed it to survive, if he couldn't breathe Paul in for one second it would surely kill him.
As Paul set his brutal and rough pace that he stayed consistent with Pat just allowed himself to melt. He gave desperate, whiney moans every time it was pushed into him, voice starting to get slightly hoarse as he felt his peak approach again, not really used to being so loud. But he hardly cared.
The feeling of his orgasm building was so much more satisfying with Paul inside of him. Being able to hear the pleasure in his boyfriend's voice as he huffed and grunted, his fantastic cock pounding into Pat's warm tight hole. This was perfect. This was what he needed. And then he felt it pull out, and his previously half lidded eyes that were glazed over with bliss shot open.
He tried to sit up some to look at Paul alarmed "What are you doing?? Y-you said you wouldn't-" he was cut off as the shorter flipped him over, putting him on his knees then slamming back into him causing him to nearly scream as it pressed right into his sweet spot. It was embarrassing, but Patrick kind of forgot how easily Paul could toss him around like that just since he was taller. But really he was very light, and the soldier had pretty great upper body strength so it should have been no surprise.
The sub didn't think it could possibly get better, but now he could stuff his face in a pillow, and it was so much deeper, and Paul had the mobility to fuck him even harder. The shortest of the two was starting to get really close as well, one hand tightly gripping Pat's hip as he jammed it into him, and the other came up to grab his hair, the man's eyes shooting open as he realized what was coming.
Paul got a good grip on the dark locks then tugged hard enough to lift Patrick's head out of the pillow as he pushed it as deep as he could. Pat screamed, loud enough that the other soldiers could definitely hear them if it was quiet enough, and came pretty much right away, making a mess of the bedsheets beneath him.
The pilot didn't let go of his hair, but stopped pulling and just shoved his face into a pillow. He thrusts were getting sloppy and inconsistent before finally pushing as deep as he could and releasing inside of his lover, the man giving a pleasant little whimper. They stayed put for a little while, and Pat couldn't have been happier. He felt so much better now. Paul pulled out, affectionately rubbing his hips before guiding him to properly lay down. He cleaned the other up gently with tissues on their bedside table before throwing them away and coming to lay down with him.
He wrapped his arms around Pat from behind and rested his chin on the man's shoulder and feeling the way the other leaned into him. "You feeling any better?" He asked, looking up at him. The green eyed man nodded with a little smile "Yeah, a lot better, thank you"

Thoughts on The Bad Batch Episode 7 - Extraction - A Discussion Post
This episode was full of even more action and a lot more thoughts and theories than the episode before it. Let's dive into the second part!
(SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE EPISODES YET! all screencaps from www.cap-that.com! https://www.cap-that.com/starwars/the-bad-batch/307/)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Before Episode 6 ended, the clones' base on Teth was attacked, and the CX trooper emerges from the rubble that fell on him, clearly alive and well. He looks around, as there is no one to be found.
Tumblr media
Everyone is doing okay, but the rubble blocks their way out. Batcher finds a different way out as they decide to take that way, sticking together to reach a ship they can use to contact Echo.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wolffe arrives at the base, realizing that there were clones who were attacked. He meets CX-2, asking him what his orders were, who refuses to tell him that. Wolffe makes him follow his orders only, while the CX trooper keeps following his own orders. I've seen posts on the parallels between Tech's limping in Season 2 to how CX-2 was limping here, and I'm living for those parallels to keep the theories going. The CX trooper can't reach his ship after his device was damaged, so he sticks with the others.
Also, I love Clone Commander Hilo already.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The boys and Omega manage to find the ship and get it working to make their escape. Batcher starts licking Nemec, and Omega says, "Don't worry. She only bites half of the time," which was funny. Batcher loves all of the clones around her.
While trying to escape, CX-2 shoots their ship down, making their escape fail. They crash into the jungle.
Tumblr media
Wolffe argues with CX-2 after he shot their ship down, and tracks down the crashed ship. CX-2 goes with while they try to continue their efforts to retrieve Omega.
Tumblr media
Everyone makes it out of the crash safely, continuing to run. Crosshair checks in on Omega, who gets annoyed by his continuous questions. I love how overprotective he started becoming here. Omega said, "You're as bad as Hunter", and Crosshair said, "Oh, I'm much worse." MY HEART-
Tumblr media
Howzer starts to talk to Crosshair calmly after seeing how he interacts with Omega and takes care of her, realizing that he's not the same clone he met on Ryloth anymore. Crosshair opens up about how he feels about loyalty, as that is something he values highly. With the Empire betraying him, there was no way he was going to stay loyal to them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Empire locates them, as they fight and protect each other. I loved the way that Wrecker had protected Batcher and Hunter was protecting Omega in this scene. CX-2 attacks them as well, and Crosshair decides to go after him. Omega didn't like that idea, to which he responded, "Too bad."
RIP to Nemec 😭
Crosshair faces off against CX-2 in an aggressive fight, and anyone else getting the Winter Soldier vibes here? CX-2 starts talking to Crosshair, saying, "You had your chance to become one of us. You chose the wrong side." If this is Tech, that's going to hurt so much afterwards. If it's someone else, it's still going to hurt. CX-2 manages to take down Crosshair, but is attacked by the others who saves Crosshair. He falls down the waterfall, left behind.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Empire catches up to the squad, as Rex finally meets Wolffe face-to-face. Wolffe thought Rex was dead after reading the reports, and he believes in the Empire's cause. Rex tries to tell him that he's making the wrong choice and that clones are being hurt because of them, but Wolffe isn't able to believe anything right now.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Echo arrives with Gregor, as Rex waits for Wolffe to make a choice; either leave the Empire and come with them, or stay. Wolffe decides to stay, and allows the squad to leave safely. Rex looks back on Wolffe, and Gregor looks at the whole scene. They have no idea they're going to be roommates in the near future.
Tumblr media
I swear, Wolffe looks so good in today's animation. He watches the clones leave, returning to his own squad. I can't wait until he joins them and realizes his mistakes.
Tumblr media
CX-2 emerges from the water after going down the waterfall. Another parallel to Tech, though, who knows. My head kept expecting him to take off his helmet so he could get some air, though I guess it's too early for that still.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rex looks so tired in the back, and Hunter goes to talk to him. Rex immediately straightens up, acting like everything's fine. (Sir, you need to take a break and let your feelings run through.) Hunter tells him he can't keep running forever, but Rex doesn't want to stop fighting yet. We know he will eventually leading up to Rebels, and I fear what will happen to make him stop.
Tumblr media
They both talk about Omega, and Hunter vows that they will keep her safe. Rex tells Hunter they have to find out why the people on Tantiss want her so badly, and the two look at a peacefully sleeping Omega, exhausted from the fighting. She is so precious, we all need to protect her.
We lost good soldiers in both of these episodes, and there's still a whole lot to figure out. Every episode so far in this season is hitting a really good mark, as every single one is so exciting. I can't wait for whatever comes in store in the future, so let's keep the theories going!

The Empire comes to Pabu. Omega and Crosshair encounter the same trooper that chased them on Teth and discover he is a shadow of someone they once knew. Speculation for the remainder of Season 3. Contains major spoilers.

a brief history of jedi missions
acolyte taskforce 1: 3.5 jedi result: sith assassin escaped.
acolyte taskforce 2: 8.5 jedi result: 8 dead jedi. sith and sith assassin escaped.
acolyte taskforce 2.5: 3 jedi result: found all the dead jedi. sith escaped.
acolyte taskforce 3: 11? jedi result: found one dead jedi and one amnesiac. sith escaped.
timeskip! geonosis strike team: 212 jedi result: ~180 dead jedi. sith escaped.
in conclusion, given that each trilogy is separated by on average ~25 years, it appears that the first trilogy to be set after the re-founding of the Jedi Order will feature 350 jedi chasing an unknown sith.

Jango Fett Open Seasons: Retreat vs. fight no matter the cost
Another detail from Jango Fett: Open Seasons that I find very telling about characters is their approach to retreat. I’m specifically want to talk about the  four major Mandalorians - Tor Vizsla, Jaster Mereel, Jango Fett and Montross as they all were at some point in the story put in situation when they needed to decide to continue fight no matter the cost (in theory the ideal Mandalorian warrior mindset) or to prioritizing their people’s life (a choice testifying to good leadership). And yes, those situations weren’t always exactly the same yet similar enough to see the implied(?) similarities in theoretical dissimilar characters.
So we have Jaster Mereel, the original leader of True Mandalorians. During a mission on Korda Six, when Mandalorians came across the enemy's heavy fire (and Jango ordered his people to find cover), Jaster gave an order to regroup at Jango’s location - the safest place and abort the air strike.
Tumblr media
And once it became clear, they made a mistake to rely on second-handed intel - but before they learned it was Death Watch's trap - Jaster decided to abort the whole mission. Something quite different from what Jango will teach his son decades later (“Your loyalty, your honor – these are the things that matter. When you accept a mission, when you give your word, it is all that matters.”)
Tumblr media
Montross however refused to regroup at Jango's location
Tumblr media
and continued the attack, stating "we've never abandoned a mission!"
Tumblr media
Montross survived thanks to Jaster who personally came to his aid only to betray his leader and leave him behind once Tor showed up. And while he tried to take command of True Mandalorians, he did order an evacuation, as the "Jaster's last order still stands" argument.
Tumblr media
Then we have Tor Vizsla who during Jango’s attack on Death Watch’s ship, ordered everyone to evacuate.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And now, let’s talk about Jango Fett who started very much minded like Jaster, what was the best visible on Korda Six. The mission was his first official role as Squad Commander but he didn’t allow pride or desire to make Jaster proud to take over common sense. When it became clear his men were under too strong enemy’s fire, he ordered them to get into trenches / find cover.

However on Galidraan, as a leader of True Mandalorians, when he already knew they walked again into Death Watch’s trap, instead of  de-escalate threat of the Jedi by at least trying calm down the situation and presenting what is going on behind the scene- and mind you, the Jedi did not have all facts but Fett already met Vizla at Governor's residence and as he wore helmet at that time, most likely had recorded this, not to mention all Mandalorians could present what they were doing and where they were via the recording from helmets - Fett ordered to open fire. And the Jedi naturally responded as such.

(And really, if Fett was smarter he could at least try to turn Jedi against Death Watch).
This is even more surprising choice as Jango's first reaction upon seeing Republic shuttles before even meeting eye to eye with Jedi was to call his second-in-command to order an evacuation.

Which is pretty ironic, that both Jaster and Tor, despite their ideological differences, were at some point shown to prioritizing their men’s safety by ordering retreat / evacuation, while Jango started as similar minded (Korda Six and upon seeing Republic shuttles on Galidraan) but once Jedi showed up, his attitude changed into “no running, fight whatever the cost” which not only led to great tragedy but made him more like Montross.
