#hm i should make an original art tag#star wars#star wars oc#sw ocs#my ocs#togruta#tholothian#chagrian#tusken#ahkat mal#pelot lamin#sahnaa deven#ghaar'ak'tatoo#i. had fun with sahnaa's colors#i wasn't even gonna give her so much detail but then i thought what if she had a thing to mimic a long head tail.#and then i thought what if the thing included a veil to cover her eyes. for no reason just to look fancy. and then. there we are.#for the record her eyes are the same color as the base of her horns#also. she's the only one who is not (explicitly) a force-sensitive here..... sorry girl. you got fancy clothes as compensation.#i have been thinking about the concept of a tusken space nomad for a while which is why ghaar' is the most detailed of these#its metals are bronze because i think it looks prettier. also the blue rust goes well with the rest of its design#and it collects sands because sand art is a big tourist attraction where i live and i think it's cool and pretty#i'm filling their bedroom with bottles of sand in every color possible. i'm giving them a beautiful wall of sand. <3#pelot is. a manifestation of my love of blue accent in dark colors. and brown eyes <3#ahkat.... is just because i think togrutas look fun to draw. so i drew one#i have no idea what to do of him tbh. which is why the question mark. he looks too impulsive to stay a jedi

#weweantica#cranberry country smells like rust and sand and pine trees#the bogs have iron in them and between that and the tannins from pines and oaks our water is DARK brown and will stain your skin#(and white dog’s fur 🙄)#the sand is because… well because the water is so acidic that we don’t have topsoil or really any soil at all#it’s sand top to bottom#in New Jersey they call this “pine barrens#in MA we just call it South Coast#even the state forest here is pine trees on super massive sand dunes#and the forest doesn’t smell like humus and moss either#but rust and sand and pines#it’s very very beautiful to me but in some seasons it looks pretty desolate lol#wait til May-June when it’s wildflowers and birds as far as the eye can see…

I fucking love the desert I haven't been there in years but between constant danger days thoughts and falling in love with it back when I've visited family there i can just zone out and feel like im standing there im so fucking like spiritually connected to it.
#talk to me about the desert please i want to talk about exploring it and finding cool stuff and hunting scorpions for fun and and#everything the horrible heat but the energy there the mirages but the spirituality of being in the desert and seeing the#vast horizon#like lsdunes said. the limitless sky#one day im going to put a little trailer on some land in the desert and make it my quaint little home#and have a cool garden like my aunt with her little trailer in the redwoods#and itll be my escape for art and music and a cat and room for friends to stay as long as they dont mind cuddling or the futon#and ill explore the desert every day#and send praise for the Phoenix witch for real#and become one with the buzzards and coyotes#because every time i close my eyes im back in socal a mile out in the desert#standing in a shack i found with no windows or doors anymore and no roof just four disintegrating concrete walls#with a poem graffitied on the wall inside talking about the sun and god#and my pockets full of forgotten artifacts#cool rocks rusted bits of metal and one apache tear i found in the sand#that looked like the night sky had fallen#dripped to the desert below and solidified#and the desert decided to gift it to me#corvids rambles

a guy started talking to me at the beach today and idk if he was flirting or just friendly but he works right next to the beach i go to every day so now im dreading the next ten days
