Alright, this was too sad! Lilly holding the remains of her lover as Trixie stands off screen made me likewise want to write an extra tidbit!

Poor poor Trixie. The things I put you through girl!

Trixie held the soul in her hands, watching it as the dust spilled between her fingers. A quick look up to Lilly confirmed that Suave was indeed dusting.

what... what had she done?

What had she done?!

WHAT HAD SHE DONE?!

With a throbbing pulse in her ears, and a shaky grip, she took hold of her phone she dialed Red. He would know what to do, know what she needed. He's also take her out of here so no one would witness her heartbreak over what she'd just done.

She had dusted Suave. Stabbed him right through his soul with his own attack.

But, he'd come back. He had to come back!

And... he'd forgive her, right?

Red answered and she replied robotically. What seemed like eons later, Red was before her, enveloping her in his scent and swearing about the blood pooling from her shoulder. Mixer would have to be called later. But she couldn't tell her scoreup that she'd dusted his brother. What if he hated her for it? No... no, he knew she'd been forced to do something terrible. Gaster had to be stopped and there was no other way. And really? Mixer would forgive her anything, even this.

There was only one last question that ran through her mind as Red pulled her to him and ported the two of them away to Fell.

Would she'd ever forgive herself?

The silence was deafening.

 How in the Sharps and Flats was a place that had the very core of song and music in his town…. so damn silent? It surprised the baseline out of him. 

The skeleton monster gave a low growl to himself and gripped at his chest, sockets closed tightly. 

Sharps…his soul hurt. Not the normal hurt when he was barriered by that damn mage Lt.Mags, no this pain was worse. 

He knew what it was. 

It was Gaster gnawing away at his soul to control his form. He should have never made that deal but… 

A hard sigh escaped as he fell back onto his bed with the music notes. Even the ‘fall’ seemed too silent for his liking. 

Another low sigh and he opened his socket, his only good eyelight glowing, its soft hue of purple filled the room with just enough light as he went to unbutton his white dress shirt. 

There. His soul. 

Damn it, it was getting worse. 

He could see the dark tangles of Gaster’s magic wrapping more and more around his shattered pieces holding them together with only violin wires.

“You are an idiot.” A female voice spoke from the door. Trixie, or ‘Demon’ as he had nicknamed her from her little jokes about dating his brother. 

His sockets narrowed as he placed his soul back away so she couldn’t see. “What cha need, Demon?” 

At the look and glare from him, the female gave a soft shift from one foot to the next. She had a plan to help him…but she was not a fan of it. Having spent some time with a few of the other skeletons and their cities, she had learned there was a way to free him from Gaster’s control but it would mean getting dust on her hands, and as much as this half blind and grumpy skeleton monster annoyed her, she cared about him in her own way. “Suave, you know I just want to help right?” 

That had him sit up and straighten, turning his head so she was on his left good side and could keep an eye on her. She knew all too well that he didn’t let anyone on his right blind side unless he trusted them. 

“Yeah?” Sharps, what was she planning? He stood and placed his hands into the pockets of his slacks, looking her up and down. At only 5’5 and her about 5’7” she had a little height on him but he always seemed to have a bigger aura. 

“Look, you keep hurting Lilly and I was told how to fix you but, well…” Her voice went silent as she turned her eyes down to the ground. 

Lilly. One of his girls. Was- was she threatening his girl, HIS little songbird? 

The switch was almost too easy for Gaster to take over. Suave’s dead eye socket went to light with a light glow of grey. He gave a growl and a purple half note with a sharpened tip formed. “What did you do to her?” “N-Nothing!” Trixie was quick to respond and threw her arms up as she felt suave grab her and pin her to the wall with his arm. 

“You don’t know anything about us! Keep it that way!” He growled darkly and then gave a dark smirk, one not of his form. He could see the scene happening before him and he…enjoyed it. 

“S-Suave…what are you doing?” 

That voice. His soul and breath caught, just turning his head enough to look at the voice of that of his little songbird. 

Lilly stood in the door, her hands pulled tight to her chest in concern and almost fear in her eyes. Where had her gentle violin playing skeleton gone? No, this being before her was not him. Something was wrong. “S-suave…Please….put her down.” 

Suave was frozen. He wanted to listen, oh by the flats he wanted to listen but something about the way Trixie had come into his room and spoke. 

No. He had to let her go. 

‘Breathe Suave,’ he thought to himself. ‘It’s just Gaster’s influence on you.’

“Bitch you better put me down or I’m going to kick your ass!” 

'Shit.' 

The next second felt unreal. 

It was dark but he heard screams. Smelled blood. Felt a hard stab to his bad eyelight. Then warm arms….who’s? Oh. Lilly’s. She was…crying? Why was- OW! He flinched and looked up as Trixie was standing over him, with his shattered black and purple soul in her hand and his summoned weapon in her other bleeding arm from where he had pinned her to the wall. 

Gaster had almost fully taken him. 

Ah…he understood, and with a sad smile looking up to Trixie, a weak nod to let her know it was ok. 

Trixie inhaled a low breath, fear and hate for what she was about to do was bubbling deep in her stomach. ‘He’ll come back…right?’ was the only thought in her mind as Trixie gripped harder on the note weapon. 

Lilly, on the other hand, was holding her mate close and almost shaking. This, this wasn’t happening was it? 

He lifted a slightly shaking hand to Lilly’s face. “H-hey Songbird, my little Lilly. You know, I love you right?” 

Lilly gave a hard sniff and sharp nod as she couldn’t turn away from him, leaning into his touch. 

“It’s…going to be ok.”

Trixie couldn’t wait any longer, she knew Gaster’s hold would come back and she wouldn’t have another chance like this again. 

With an inhale and a small prayer to any god that would listen, she stabbed the note’s sharp point deep into Suave’s soul. 

His sockets widened, a hard flinch and grip to Lilly before his face seemed to relax and he gave a light smile to them both. 

Unable to speak as the life drained from him and his mind became at peace, Suave closed his sockets and dusted away in Lillys arms. 

Once again….the damn silence returned.
