Pretty Damn Perfect: an Amanda/Akko Fanfic Summary:
Amanda wishes giving a Christmas gift to Akko was easy, but somehow, it's the hardest thing she's ever done.
Ao3 Link to story, FFN link to story Art by the wonderful Pili BlueBerry on Instagram!
Current Chapters: 1
Current Length 4,402 words
Updates (Hopefully) Monthly. Next update, January 30th. My gift for @misseljebel for the LWA Secret Santa gift exchange, both art and a fanfic! The fic is an Amandakko story of Amanda doing her damndest to confess to Akko while giving her the perfect gift. Sorry that this fic wasn't out sooner, the holidays were pretty busy for me with my family, and I'm also sorry I couldn't complete this story in one chapter, but I didn't want to rush things. Still, I hope everyone enjoys this story! But, don't hesitate to tell me your thoughts in the reviews!

My @lwasanta secret santa gift for @cherriechar. Sorry it took so long, finals are a bitch and the sun sets at like 2 pm here so i had to wait for daylight to get a good picture.
They wanted something of their favourite characters saying goodbye after graduation, so here is slightly older Amanda and Diana seeing Akko off at the airport. Also tall Akko propaganda.

Five More Death Battle Match-Ups I'd like to see
So, the Death Battle Independent Era has been happening along, and frankly, I think it's been pretty good so far. Bowser vs Eggman and Ghost Rider vs Spawn are already shooting up my top 10 (Bowser vs Eggman is already my new favourite Death Battle), and even ones that I haven't been too hot about are still not bad, they're like a Stitch vs Rocket Raccoon at worst.
And I also had some fun writing about Match-Ups I'd really like to see, and try to justify my... admittedly weird taste in Match-Ups. I have found that my preference leans more towards obscurer characters and less likely match-ups. Don't get me wrong, I have a few MUs that don't fall under those descriptions, but looking at my list, there are a lot more Cybersix vs Jack's than Katara vs lapis Lazuli's.
Really, I'm doing this to see if anyone else is interested in some of my most wanted MUs, though admittedly this selection is probably more plausible than my first list was. Well, without further ado, five more Death Battle MUs I'd like to see.
#5. Lena vs Hunter (Owl House vs DuckTales 2017)
Tumblr media
So... a while back, a long while back, I did a series of Polls called "Disney Duels", where I pit two Disney characters together and let people vote on who would win a fight. I had a lot of fun doing it, and seeing a lot of the reactions, especially for Season 2 Round 10; Lena vs Hunter; Created for Evil, Made for Good.
This was the most voted on Match-up for Disney Duels, at 373 votes, and I can see why, this was admittedly one of the better match-ups of Disney Duels, and Tumblr is absolutely crazy for Owl House and DuckTales 2017, and all the votes and reactions got me thinking, this would make a really good episode of Death Battle. Like we're probably gonna get Anne vs Luz or Luz vs Akko first, but keep this one in mind, it would be pretty awesome.
#4. Ruby Rose vs Tucker (RWBY vs Red vs Blue)
Tumblr media
Admittedly, this one is kind of... strange, I'm sure there are better RWBY vs Red vs Blue Match-Ups, and I'm sure people are going to tell me them here. Ruby vs Tucker has always vibed with me though, and I think it has to do with the theme. I haven't watched a lot of RWBY, and from everything I hear that may be a good thing, but from what I did watch, the theme of "Thrust into leadership roles" works pretty alright here.
I do feel like this is a fight that could work, and a RWBY/RVB MU seems pretty over-due. I wonder if the guys are a little tentative about doing Red vs Blue Match-Ups in general, it wouldn't surprise me if they were. Still, I think there is some merit to this Match-Up.
#3. Stan Smith vs Sterling Archer (American Dad vs Archer)
Tumblr media
Adult Animation Secret Agents, I feel like everyone has that one MU on their list that just feels too obvious, like this is a fight they would have done in season 2 or 3 kind of obvious.
I mean, I almost don't want to include this one here, again it just feels like a battle they would have done before, but I'd rather be honest and predictable than dishonest and unique, so here is one of my obvious Match-Ups for this list.
#2. Saxton Hale vs Brock Samson (Team Fortress 2 vs Venture Brothers)
Tumblr media
I don't care if this one is a stomp... actually the last list I did had a total stomp MU at the second place as well... weird coincidence. Team Fortress 2 needs another episode, and Brock Samson has been aching for an episode of Death Battle for a long time.
I think Saxton Hale would be perfect for a Death Battle episode, the kind of Over the Top violence that the show is good at is practically his bread and butter. It would also be fun to see a non-mercenary TF2 character in DB, even if their are only three who would make decent DB episodes.
#1. Sly Cooper vs Rouge the Bat (Sly Cooper vs Sonic the Hedgehog)
Tumblr media
When it comes to Match-Ups in the category of "How has this not happened yet" I feel like this is one of the big ones. Two anthropomorphic thief characters, like this Match-Up just screams season 4 at the very least.
I feel like this battle is more or less a victim of "Algorithmic Thinking", where the guys have to think about what Match-Up would be good for the YouTube algorithm rather than what would be fun to make. That's the entire reason Cole MacGrath vs Alex Mercer didn't happen until Season 10, and probably why we still haven't got Travis Touchdown vs Jack Cayman or any representation from BioShock, Dead Space or Creepypasta as of yet, though an SCP battle may be coming soon, hoping that happens.
Admittedly, the reasoning is pretty debatable, Sonic the Hedgehog is an absurdly popular franchise, so any Sonic battle, I think, would do pretty well viewership wise, but I'll never know, maybe they're just waiting for the right person to write or animate it. Still, if this battle gets announced, I know people would be hyped.

And here we have the 9th chapter of “Don’t Look Back In Anger (I Heard You say)”!
For those new here, let me give you the summary:
Chiyo Kagari grew up in a quiet village, far from the magical world, raised by a mother who always kept the past buried. But when she receives an invitation to Luna Nova, she quickly realizes that her heritage is far more complicated than she ever imagined. Her name is legendary, her mother is a figure of history, and the past she was never meant to uncover is starting to resurface.
The deeper she digs, the more she finds herself entangled in secrets that no one wants her to know. Who is the woman strangely tied to Akko in ways no one will explain? Who is Snake, the distant and enigmatic mentor who seems to know more than she lets on? Most of all, what is Akko truly hiding—and what is Chiyo’s real role in this story?
As Chiyo dives deeper into the mysteries of her family, she begins to uncover truths that shake her sense of identity—and hint at a legacy darker than she ever imagined. Now, caught in a web of hidden agendas and ancient secrets, Chiyo must decide who she can trust… and how far she’s willing to go to uncover the truth. But some mysteries were meant to stay buried, and the answers may be more dangerous than she ever anticipated.
(Yes it’s a Little Witch Academia fanfiction)
Now I need to sleep because it’s 1:00am in my time zone lmao-
And don’t forget!
A believing heart is you magic! ✨

Assorted Musings: A Jumbled Collection of Owl House Rewrites
So, I've been thinking of ways to improve The Owl House and the short answer is: make it actually stick to its premise. Show how the Boiling Isles is under the thumb of an oppressive dictator, make Luz an actual outsider in her home world, better explain how Belos came to power, etc.
The following is just a loose assortment of basic premises without rhyme or reason:
On Hexside and Amity-
Hexside and all schools (all buildings really) have a portrait of the Emperor that they say a vow to commit themselves to eradicating wild magic and upholding the Titan's laws. Luz is creeped out to the max by this as it reminds her of North Korea and other dictatorships (in addition to loving Azura, she's also a massive history nerd, to the point of correcting her teachers back home. She doesn't have many friends because she's rather intense about her hyper fixations and can be rather judgy). Hexside is also an exclusive school where a lot of students end up getting into the EC or in the upper echelons of the coven system. They have portraits of all the Hexside alumni who served as coven heads.
Amity is the top student of the school and a firm believer in the Emperor, since her mother is the ceo of Blight Industries and works closely with the Emperor himself. It is guaranteed she will be in the Emperor's Coven. She doesn't actively bully Willow, but does shun her and because of her influence, other kids avoid "half-witch" Willow as well.
On Luz in the Boiling Isles-
Eda is lazy and only took Luz in to help her in her illegal trade and sends her to Hexside so she will at least be out of her hair. She disguises Luz as a witch with undetectable magic (it can only be used in small amounts and only for minor spells). The detention kids don't multi-track as such an idea is sacrilege and it takes Luz to introduce the idea to them. Even then, they're nervous as hell about it. But Luz being Luz, she convinces them that it's not "wild magic" it's just trying out different methods to see if this is the right track. You don't want to upset the Titan by choosing the wrong magic, right?
While she is disguised as a witch in Hexside, she obviously can't use magic, which everyone makes fun of (like Akko in Little Witch Academia). She excells in Potions and Tarot Card Reading, basically anything that doesn't require a bile sac. Everyone calls her a half-witch (a term for a witch with weak or no magical abilities--sometimes witches are born with a malfunctioning bile sac). She makes friends with Willow and Gus, who is still a nerd for all things human related but keeps that secret because human trash is quickly picked up by the coven scouts. Luz steals some of Eda's human junk and explains what they are to Willow and Gus. He's thrilled but also terrified because his new friend is showing him contraband. Willow is suspicious and questions how Luz knows so much. Luz hems and haws for a bit before changing the subject. Hooty is pretty much the same. 10/10 character. King is not a child in this rewrite. His egg was in stasis for a long time and when he hatched he's functionally an adolescent but being in the egg for so long stunted his growth. He's very immature and still thinks he's the King of Demons. He pretends to hate Azura but rereads Luz's book when she's at school. Then Luz stumbles upon his fan fiction. Eda figured out right away that Luz stole her stuff ("but I gave it back, Eda!" "yeah, and I was going to sell it this afternoon but then it mysteriously wasn't in my inventory. You lost me a customer, Luz.") Eda then teaches Luz how to be a better thief and find more human stuff before the EC does.
On Belos-
Under Belos' reign, witches are judged by their strength and power; certain covens have more prestige than others: Abomination and Plant are near the top. Construction and Healing are more in the middle. Bard is at the bottom. Back in the days of the Titan, magic was communal and while, you could specialize in a specific type of magic, it was not regimented and more seen as a preference. All of it came from the Titan and all witches shared their knowledge and gifts equally.
In the days of the Titan, the Titan could speak to people but only through mediums. Although, there were some who argued that the Titan could commune with anyone if you listened and kept yourself spiritually open. Even then, some doubted how the Titan could talk at all if it was dead and perhaps the mediums were just powerful oracle/illusion witches. This led to some factions and divisions over what magic really is in the isles and how it is best used. Over time, fewer witches shared their gifts equally and petty squabbles warped into tribal conflicts. Belos manipulated these tensions by claiming the "elite" mediums spread lies about the Titan's wishes. He claimed that there used to be peace because there was one system and one way of doing things instead of all of this confusion and division. He passed himself off as a humble witch who received a vision from the Titan saying that magic should be unified. But this vision was so powerful that it left his face scarred, hence the mask (although he will show the doubting crowd his face). That only the wisest and most experienced witches could realistically practice all forms of magic while the rest would do the Titan's work in their chosen field. That way, the gifts of the Titan is still being shared among the populace but now with proper guidance. And thus the coven system was born.
Belos uses his curse as proof of being the Prophet of the Titan; when he regenerates an injury without healing magic, everyone is shocked but most importantly, they believe him. He spends his time proselytizing from town to town amassing a following. He calls them his "little birds" and they all wear bird masks as a precursor to the coven scout uniform. When they (rarely) experience violence, Belos whips them up into a frenzy as proof that the "wild witches" are against them. In one incident, Belos and his followers are prevented from preaching in a town. A fight breaks out and one of his followers is killed. Belos declares them a martyr and asks if his followers will sit by and not defend themselves? The crowd--already upset of course--then burns the town to the ground. As the years go by, people notice that Belos doesn't age and doesn't eat or drink, leading more people to believe in his divine message and join him.

another silly rant.. . but this time its NOT about wenclair??
jesus, i just rewatched little witch academia after YEARS, and the pure sapphic energy radiating from that show is craaaazy yo. (heed my spoiler warning for lwa)
yeah so.. diakko. kay. now that that's out of the way
i actually loved akko's character as a whole, as ambitious and stupid as she is, i can totally see some of myself in her. i never saw her as a selfish person, i feel like she always considered and appreciated those around her. every time she cried and demeaned herself (especially in the second half of the show) i was like "poor baby" bc she really didn't deserve it. sure, was she a tad bit impulsive? yeah. but her character is meant to be easily swayed and convinced. like how croix convinced her to go to the wagandea tree, and literally gaslighted her into thinking she shouldn't trust chariot (ursula). as a character though, she really, truly, just tries to help people and i think you rarely see characters that are as pure as that, you know? her dream is to make people happy, not some bullshit like being the strongest witch, or obtaining some kind of object. she just aspires to fill people's hearts with joy, and her intentions are set with that only. and she tries, and tries, and tries, despite people's discouragement. so every time she cried, i cried with her. sigh.
moving on to ursula, otherwise known as chariot. i loved her older sister-mentor role. akko definitely needed someone that would keep her in line, but also encourage her in her endeavors and keep her safe. my girl was ALWAYS there to save the day (and by gOD she was so fucking hot whenever she was fighting croix). ughhh i literally groaned out loud every time she got interrupted when she was trying to tell akko about her identity. idk, i kind of have mixed feelings about the dream fuel spirit shebang. cause, chariot had NO idea it was stopping people from being able to use magic, so it wasn't really her fault. croix manipulated her. and once she found out about that, she stopped using it. im glad croix had somewhat of a redemption, but jesus she was such an asshole when she revealed that ursula was chariot. like, a royal asshole. bc that was not her secret to reveal, you know? and she left some very important pointers on the table. though, i felt terrible for akko.
mmmm. diaaaaaaaaana. diana cavendish. i had a massive lesbian crush on her for the whole fucking series. oh my god. especially in the two-part episodes where it's set in the cavendish estate? so, so, chivalrous, and dashing, and royal... and skdjhfskjlhf (totally referencing that one scene where diana defends akko infront of aunt daryl and offers her arm for akko to hold). poor akko, oblivious to like... all of the massive lesbian signals wafting from diana. she literally had big neon signs that said "akko you fucking idiot im gay for you."
all jokes (and thirsting) aside, diana and akko's growth as a pair is really touching to me. diana was never outright rude to her bc of her inability to properly use magic, i saw that she was more judgmental of her character as a person instead. (e.g the samhain festival episode in which she calls akko pathetic for "leaving" lotte and sucy before her performance). and i can totally see that it was reasonable. later in the episode, after akko finds the second Word or whatever, she goes on to think, "what is this emotion i'm feeling?" as much as i would want it to, i wouldn't say she was in love at that time, considering her harsh judgment earlier in the episode, but akko continues to grow on her from then on. i haven't mentioned this yet, but the episode (sorry that i keep saying "that episode" the site that i watched it on didn't have episode names) in which the faeries ordered a strike against the witches, was actually less goofy and funny than it was made to be. akko really took time to understand where the workers were coming from, and being their representative was really thoughtful? when diana came to tell her off, she deadass started making fun of her bc shes an aristocrat. and telling her she doesn't understand the woes of the working class bc of her wealth. which is just... so... real? and diana gets all flustered, which leads me into the topic of:
Diana Literally Only Blushed Because of Akko. she just gets all flustered when akko calls her out on her shit, like she's not afraid of her. everyone else is. even the godforsaken teachers are. she only ever truly worried whenever akko was hurt, or in some form of danger. she completely remains indifferent to everything, even when things happen to hannah or barbara she really doesn't give a shit. (at least not in the way she does with akko, she's probably loyal to her friends and shows it in her own way). which segues me into the episode "yesterday," in which akko goes "missing" and jesus christ diana's dialogue with chariot is really touching. from "akko needs you more than anything right now!" to "what could possibly be more important that akko right now!?" and "i'm more disappointed in you than i am of your past." she's just so well spoken in the most disastrous and telling moments, and it really shows how strong of a character she is. she remains level headed when lotte and sucy consult her about akko, and kindly offers them tea, along with reassurances. despite her generally not hanging out with akko's crowd of people, she's still kind and considerate when people need her. her words to chariot/ursula are so powerful because she's depicted as so stoic and indifferent but completely tells her off when she knows what ursula is doing is wrong. i hope that makes sense? from an apathetic elitist to a passionate worrywart - all over akko. and once she finds her, she basically acts as her caretaker, in that moment. and i'd be lying if i said i didn't cry, because god. diana knew exactly how to make her feel better, and man is that not an indicator to how perfect akko and diana are for each other. her confessing that she felt envious of akko's determination and closeness to chariot, and confessed to wanting to get away from akko bc of it, but ended up just getting closer to her.
in the last episode, in which they stop the missile, i was just so happy to see where their growth led them. them holding each other while doing the shiny arc thingamajig? awesome. akko catching diana when she falls? diana screaming for akko when akko falls? which inevitably leads to her falling because she's crazy for akko? really hit me in the feels. undeniably happy. joy. the parallels between chariox and diakko are like, super obvious. except for the fact that diakko was the better example, in which they worked together instead of one envying the other for their power. like how diana initially said she envied akko for having the shiny rod, and croix getting jealous of chariot bc of it too - except diana learned to accept it and support akko and work with her. bc red and blue gays. ygm.
i'll talk about andrew and the rest of 'em later bc im fairly tired but. im sorry for the excessive tangent. i likely left out a lot of what i wanted to say bc big gay brainrot, and i'll spew that out sometime later.
thank u for listening to my ted talk stay gay!!

Late Night Hunt - Yandere Wolf Diana Cavendish x Akko Kagari [Part 1 of 2]
Summary: Atsuko Kagari - a rookie monster hunter - travels to the number one spot dreaded by all Monster Hunters - Cavendish Manor - in hopes of bagging the entity there to make a name for herself. When she arrives, all she finds is darkness and cobwebs, but what happens when the owner of the manor takes a liking to her and refuses to let the Rookie Monster Hunter leave her?
Broken: This story was inspired by artwork created by the great @blee-bleep. Go check them out, their Diakko Work is incredible!!!
[Outside The Doors of Cavendish Manor]
"Hello, Monster Hunter Community, Atsuko Kagri here and I'm going to travel to the most haunted place known in the Monster Hunter Organization - Cavendish Manor: Once a home of the renowned Cavendish family but now a grand building with a haunted past," Akko said as she pointed her phone to the large grand structure before her - it looked like a castle, a place fit for royalty, but now it was a place of secrets and no one dared to step foot within its walls after someone in the Monster Hunters traveled to the manor and came back nearly mauled to death and nearly died. This place was blacklisted and Akko was going to discover the secrets of this place and make a name for herself.
Akko placed her phone in the pocket of her jacket as she reached into her car and pulled out her...butterfly net? That's all she managed to get her hands on at the Monster Hunter's Headquarters. Akko was just a rookie in the place and she wasn't able to get her hands on the more exclusive stuff so she was going to make the most of what she had. Akko pulled the phone out of her pocket and pointed the camera in front of her with the flashlight on to make sure she didn't fall or trip on anything. Akko walked up the stairs and stood before the door, she reached her hand out and placed it on the surface of the door, and pushed it open - it creaked and slowly swung open, revealing a dark foyer. Akko walked into the foyer and looked around but as soon as she was a few feet into the building - the door slammed behind her and from the sound of it, the door locked itself! Akko rushed over to the door and pulled it open but it wasn't budging, she was trapped in the building!
"Okay... Calm down, Atsuko. You'll find your way out of here but now you need to focus on finding the creature who lives here." Akko said as she started walking forward, waving her flashlight over the lavish but dusty decor in the foyer before walking up the stairs and heading down the left hallway. Little did she know, a figure with piercing blue eyes watched from the lower level as the flashlight faded down the hallway.
"At-su-ko." The figure said before disappearing down a corridor, this one was going to be worth watching for a while - a lack of equipment and experience? This one was going to be fun to play with for a while.
Akko opened the door to one of the rooms - it was a master bedroom of some kind, Akko walked into the room and started looking at the items around the room until her eyes landed on a picture, she walked over to it and picked it up - it was a family picture. A Mother, a father, and a little girl - something about the girl seemed familiar and the picture was titled 'Diana's First Day of School".
'Diana? I knew a Diana when I was going to school, she was a rather smart kid and kind to those around her but she was a bit of an aristocrat towards me sometimes and she was rather possessive of me as a friend; she would stay beside me all the time. Wait...her last name was Cavendish!' Akko looked around the place once again before looking at the picture again with a sad expression on her face - she hoped Diana was alright. Akko's eyes closed as she thought back to the last time she spoke to Diana - just before they the elementary school and parted ways.
"Atsuko Kagari." The young girl said as she looked into Akko's red eyes with determined blue eyes.
"Hey, Diana! What's up?!" Akko asked as she smiled at Diana, the Cavendish girl walked over to her and took her hands in her own. "Diana?"
"When I become the Head of the Cavendish Family, let's get married!" Diana said as she blushed at Akko, who blushed back at her.
"Married?!" Akko asked.
"Yes, I want you to be my wife when I become the Head of the Cavendish Family, that way, I can keep you safe and we can turn it into something amazing," Diana said as she spoke to Akko and leaned in to kiss Akko's cheek before reaching into her dress pocket and pulled out a ring with a sapphire gemstone and slid it on Akko's thumb before her parents called her and Diana ran away to her family, leaving Akko to look at her ring.
'I guess I'm going to get married after all!' Akko thought as she walked over to her parents.
Akko looked at the ring that was looped around a chain around her neck - she overgrew the ring and wanted to keep it close so she bought a chain and used the ring as a pendent. "Diana...what happened to you?" Akko said as she placed the picture down and walked out of the room before closing the door behind her. Akko continued on her path, looking for anything that looked out of line but everything was normal for an abandoned house - there was nothing there.
"Looks like there isn't anything here," Akko said to the recording on her phone, "I better get back home."
"Maybe you're looking in the wrong direction, Little Huntress." A deep voice growled behind her, causing Akko's eyes to widen and turn on her heel coming face to chest with a towering figure dressed in a white dress shirt, black pants, and boots - her eyes looked at the hands of the figure, and come face to face with a large clawed hand and lightly tanned fur. She looked up and came face to face with glowing blue eyes and a mouth of razor-sharp teeth. Akko drooped her phone and swung the butterfly net in shock but a large hand grabbed the net and snapped it in two before dropping the pieces to the ground. Akko fell to her butt, looked up at the figure, and crawled backward until her back hit a wall by the window with the full moon's light shining through. Akko watched as the figure walked into the light - and Akko came face to face with the Lady of the Castle. A large werewolf with..a familiar face. Akko looked at the face with wide eyes before she called out a name she never spoke in years.
"D...Diana?"
the werewolf looked wide-eyed and reared back at the sound of that name, "How..How do you know that name?" The light from the moon hit the sapphire ring around Akko's neck, making it shine, causing the werewolf to look at the ring and snarl at the huntress, "WHERE DID YOU GET THAT RING?!" The Werewolf demanded to know as she took a step towards the huntress, "I GAVE THAT RING TO MY CHOSEN MATE! WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THAT RING?! DID YOU STEAL IT FROM HER?!"
"No! Diana, look at my face! It's me - Atusko Kagari!"
Diana looked wide-eyed at the mention of that name before looking closely at the huntress before her and her mind started opening at the realization of the person before her. Those eyes, that ponytail, and that sparkle. This couldn't be... She was really here... She came for her.
"Akko?" Diana asked as she dropped to her knees and crawled over to Akoo before burying her face in her girl's neck, taking n her scent before moaning in pleasure, "This scent - I know this scent anywhere - it's really you, Atsuko; you've returned to me." Diana wrapped her arms around Akko's waist and pulled her into her chest - her chosen mate had returned to her.

Diana Cavendish is a rising star in the music world, in danger of burning out. Amanda O'Neill is an underground indie performer who won't settle for less than complete authenticity. Akko Kagari is just trying to have fun and be herself. Tonight, they've just performed as separate acts at the same concert. Tonight, they'll perform again, going head-to-head-to-head in the name of sex, love, and rock and roll. For now, three musicians walk into a bar....
Merry Christmas, @em0ticonz! I'm your Secret Santa for the @lwasanta 2023 event, and this is my story! I hope you enjoy the Little Witch Academia Musician AU I've put together! (And I hope everyone else enjoys it too!)
