🎉Franky: The Unsung Hero of Spy x Family 🕵️‍♂️💥

Franky Franklin seemed like the goofy, lighthearted informant in Spy x Family, but Chapter 105 shows how much rigorous training he underwent. Besides the humor and awkward moments, Franky is a man who plays many roles—some light, some heavy, all vital to the mission and to those around him.

On a day that feels almost ordinary for Franky, we see him waking up in the morning to Japanese karakuri. Interestingly also he starts his morning ritual by enjoying listening to government-banned music. 🎉 🌟 As a well-functioning informant he listens to Fiona Chan's request for a "forged pass for the Podam School of Science. Cool that agent Nightfall(our cute, lovable Kuudere is here) has absolutely recovered after the fight against Mole Wheeler. And he's got the guts to remind her how has wants to be treated :)

and a man still holding out hope for love. His day starts with babysitting Anya, a task that, for anyone else, would be overwhelming. But for him, it’s just another part of his vigilant life. His relationship with Anya is one of the most endearing parts of his character—he’s her goofy uncle figure, someone who can make her laugh and doesn’t mind stepping up when needed. The man is a solid uncle figure, he makes it where Yuri simply fails. 🎭✨

As he takes the fee he goes to invest the money to a bet in horse races, but he's unlucky.

So he's up again to get info about any lucky route. that's when he hears the bad news from the teller. The only informant regarding access to gates 4 and above, Latchkey Lachy(whoever he is) got arrested by the always-feared force throughout Ostania, the SSS! So there's the looming menace of the Secret police.

What’s striking is his relentless optimism—even in the face of constantly changing hideouts and near-constant danger, Franky holds onto the hope that one day, he’ll find love. That's why now he's on a date with a familiar girl, Priscilla, and they'll go to watch a movie.

It’s this mix of resilience and vulnerability that makes him so relatable. He’s a man living in the shadows, often overlooked, but still working to hold onto the idea that there’s more to life than just survival.

Suddenly the news comes: Their teller is arrested "by the you-know-who": The SSS who has him, and Franky has to act quickly to save him.

The way Franky charges in and saves him is Amazing: He steps up prepared, with an effective plan as a real spy, saving the teller from the clutches of the SSS.🕵️‍♂️🛡️👧

The seeming "flower bouquet" is actually a pistole of smoke gas to make the SSS interrogators lose their focus, briefly and it works!

Watch this. How he gives them an awful time:

As they see the SSS reinforcements arriving he says: "They're welcome to try. But I'm going to show them just how hard catching rats can be!" With goggles for concealment, he fights them, using a real handgun, he presses a secret button to open a hatch, and they escape with his well big balloon:)!

This is Franky at his best—quick and profound thinking, resourceful, and willing to risk everything for the people he cares about. In this moment, we see his true heroism. He may not have the physical strength of Yor, but Franky's improved, worthy peer of Twilight. He’s a man who understands the dangers of the world he’s in, yet continues to put himself on the line.

Then he listens to Priscilla, about how she has found a boy to chaperone to the movies.🤔💔 Despite the disappointment, he calls it a good day.

Thus he and the teller go to watch a romance movie:

"How did he get so determined for the rigorous training?" you'll ask me the question.

The failings for finding love didn't get the better of him, so he made up his mind: To become someone as effective as the two people he's looking up to: Twilight and Nightfall.💪🕵️‍♂️🤔

Franky’s ability to juggle these different aspects of his life—his spy duties, his loyalty to his friends, and his optimism for happiness—makes him one of the most vital characters in Spy x Family. He reminds us that even the seemingly ordinary people in a story filled with super spies and assassins can have profound, heroic moments.

I adore these tiny scenes of Jotaro briefly reading Shōnen Jump and playing with an RC car from episode one. This is the only instance where we see him acting like the kid he’s supposed to be. Looking at this is a good reminder that this guy is still a child despite everything.

There’s also this piece of production art of Kakyoin and Jotaro being goofballs that I love so dearly. I really wish to see in between episode scenes of all the shenanigans the crusaders engaged in while travelling. 🥲

Imagine: You are the leader of a somewhat struggling Japanese rock band or pop group. You're not bad at it, but, despite having played at many shows and have amassed a certain level of popularity, you still struggle to break even in your day-to-day, and you're used to passed over for more established, recognizable music acts.

However, one day, you receive a proposal: a highly-anticipated TV anime adaptation of an extremely popular Shōnen Jump (or something) series is in the works, and you've been asked to write the first OP for it.

There's just one problem, though: you're an avid manga reader, and you know this series is absolute dogshit. It's the amalgamation of lots of writing tropes that make you want to throw the volume into the garbage with the rest of the burnables, and you know that if you take this song, you'll skyrocket into popularity and be at least somewhat associated with the anime for the rest of your career, even if you later go on to do other work with your newfound popularity.

Bubblegum and Blade Wounds | A Zoey x fem reader fic

Premise: Some girls get flowers. Some get love letters. Y/n gets patched up by a K-pop idol who moonlights as a demon hunter.

The smell of antiseptic burned y/n’s nose, mingling awkwardly with the scent of strawberry lip gloss and fabric softener. She sat on the edge of Zoey’s vanity chair, clutching a ragged bandage to her side while trying not to bleed on the rug. Again.

“This is the third time this week,” Zoey muttered, yanking open a drawer crammed full of first-aid supplies, fake eyelashes, and three different brands of Korean BB cream.

“At this point, I should just sew demon-grade Kevlar into your jackets.”

“I didn’t mean to fall into a nest of Venom Imps, okay?” y/n winced as Zoey sprayed something icy against the gash. “They jumped me while I was chasing that fang-faced freak down the alley.”

Zoey clicked her tongue and glanced up, her long lashes batting dramatically. “See, this is why I said we go in pairs. But nooo, Miss I-Work-Alone has to solo it like she’s in a shōnen anime.”

“I am the main character,” y/n deadpanned.

Zoey burst out laughing—bright and musical, like a song that never made it onto an album. “Okay, Naruto. Hold still.”

The pop idol crouched beside her, sleeves of her rehearsal hoodie pushed up to her elbows. Her hands—surprisingly steady for someone who just finished a high-speed dance routine—moved carefully as she cleaned the wound. Zoey hummed while she worked, some unreleased ballad that only a few fans had ever heard during livestreams at 2 a.m.

“You hum when you're nervous,” y/n said softly.

Zoey paused for half a second. “You’re bleeding and joking like it’s a sleepover. What do you want me to do, cry and write a love song about your reckless bravery?”

“…Wait, are you actually going to do that?”

A blush threatened to rise on Zoey’s cheeks, but she expertly deflected. “Only if you promise not to ruin another one of my stage outfits. The last one you got imp goo on? That was Balenciaga.”

“I saved a bus full of kids from that goo demon!”

Zoey didn’t look up. “Yeah, yeah. But did they reimburse me for couture damage?”

There was a beat of silence. Then both of them broke into laughter—the kind that hurt your ribs and made you forget about the sting of injury and the endless battle against shadowy creatures from another realm.

Zoey pressed the final bandage into place, securing it with care. Then she looked up, her expression softened, serious in that rare way that made y/n’s heart clench unexpectedly.

“You’re always running into danger like you're afraid to slow down,” she whispered.

“But you don't have to prove anything, not to me. I already know you're brave. You don’t have to keep getting hurt to show it.”

Y/n’s throat went tight. “I’m not afraid to slow down.”

“Then prove it,” Zoey challenged softly, reaching out to brush a strand of hair behind her ear. “Stay the night. No demons. No patrols. Just you, me, bad K-dramas, and banana milk.”

“…You’re bribing me with banana milk?”

Zoey grinned. “And I threw out all your leather gear. Accidentally.”

“You what?!”

Too late. Zoey had already bolted for the living room, squealing with laughter as y/n limped after her, swearing and half-laughing, half-grimacing.

The chase ended somewhere between Zoey’s bed and a pile of Hello Kitty plushies, with y/n collapsing on top of her, breathless and cursing under her breath. Her bandaged side throbbed, but it was worth it—Zoey was pinned beneath her, hair a glossy mess, cheeks flushed from laughter and mock betrayal.

“You didn’t actually throw out my gear,” y/n said suspiciously.

Zoey blinked up at her, wide-eyed with faux innocence. “What gear?”

Y/n groaned. “You’re such a menace.”

“You’re the one who bleeds all over my carpet.”

They laid there for a moment, tangled in limbs and lazy exhaustion, the thrum of danger outside their walls completely forgotten. Zoey’s room smelled like soft things—vanilla lotion, cotton sheets, strawberry shampoo—and for someone who spent her nights slaying demons, she really had managed to make her space feel like a bubblegum-scented sanctuary.

A K-drama played on the television in the background. The dramatic violin score swelled as the male lead clutched the heroine’s hand in the pouring rain, declaring his love with the intensity of a thousand slow-motion zoom-ins.

“I swear to God, if she gets hit by a truck in the next ten minutes—” y/n muttered.

“She will,” Zoey said with grim certainty. “Or fall into a coma. Or get amnesia and forget she ever loved him.”

“Why do we watch these?”

“Because,” Zoey said, snuggling closer into her side, “they make our lives seem emotionally stable by comparison.”

Y/n laughed, despite herself. “We kill demons for a living.”

“And yet I’ve never faked my death to test your love,” Zoey said brightly, “so really, I’m the most reasonable woman you know.”

Y/n turned to look at her. Zoey was already staring, her lips parted in the smallest smile, her eyeliner slightly smudged from the earlier chaos. Even without the lights of the stage or the spotlight of a camera, she was luminous in that soft, unrushed way—like the warmth of fairy lights in a room you didn’t want to leave.

“I really like you,” y/n said, voice quieter than she meant it to be. “Not just when you're patching me up or making dumb jokes. I like… all of it. The mess, the mission, the snacks in your bathroom drawer. I like coming home to this. To you.”

For a second, Zoey didn’t say anything. She just stared at her, lips parted, eyes wide in that rare, unguarded way. Then:

“Okay,” she said softly. “But I have to tell you something, and you can’t judge me.”

Y/n blinked. “Alright…?”

Zoey leaned in, voice lowered like a confession. “I ate the last honey butter chip. The one you were saving.”

“…You—!”

“But I felt really bad about it!” she yelped, shielding herself with a pillow. “I even wrote a haiku out of guilt!”

“A haiku?!”

“It was very heartfelt!”

Y/n groaned, collapsing into the couch. “You are the absolute worst.”

But her arm found its way around Zoey’s waist anyway, drawing her in. And Zoey fit there perfectly, like a piece that always knew where it belonged.

After a while, when the drama had moved into its third unnecessary plot twist, and the last light in the room was the blue glow of the screen, Zoey turned her head, lips brushing the curve of y/n's shoulder.

“I like you too,” she murmured. “Even when you're being reckless. Even when you track blood into my bathroom. Even when you're too tired to stay awake, but still try to watch every stupid K-drama ending with me.”

Y/n’s voice was sleepy, drifting. “I’d watch twenty tragic love triangles if it meant ending up right here.”

Zoey smiled. “Gross. That was sweet. Say it again so I can write it in my Notes app like a lovesick teenager.”

“I swear to God, if you turn this into lyrics…”

“I already did.”

“…Of course you did.”

But neither of them moved. The world outside would still be waiting—demons to banish, shadows to chase, pasts to wrestle with. But for now, there was only this: shared warmth, stolen chips, half-watched dramas, and the kind of peace you didn’t realize you were starving for until you found it curled up beside you, humming soft lullabies and smelling faintly of strawberry lip gloss.

27 years ago yesterday one piece was published for the first time in the weekly shōnen jump. i don't know about you but i really wish i grew up with one piece, luffy and his amazing crew would have helped me a lot through my sad younger years. but at least i finally got to meet them all...and they changed my life forever. thank you oda for this [not yet finished] incredible journey!

Kishi shows us that everyone in the Narutoverse somehow understands the feelings between Naruto and Sasuke, that the two of them are somehow connected, and that the two have some influence on each other and If something happens to one of them, the other will react in an extreme way. Kishi used his other characters to point this out and make us pay more attention to Naruto & Sasuke.

A scene where Sakura and the others are doubting of Naruto and Sasuke's feelings for each other is something Kishi can't do directly. Otherwise, it would cause a lot of trouble, and it would confirm that there really is something going on between the two. readers are already confused and complaining about it without even those scene. But at least some readers finally see the gay and understand the narrative.

1. HAKU

Sasuke exposed his weakness (Naruto) in front of a enemy. Observing every move to avoid serious injury and forced to awaken his Sharingan to protect Naruto, of course Haku was watching him and absolutely found his weakness and used it against him. Haku knows if Naruto is used the fight will be over because Sasuke would jump in front of Naruto to save him.

2. OROCHIMARU

• Orochimaru recognizes the impact Naruto has on Sasuke's says a lot! He wanted to separate them immediately....if Sasuke ran away from his goal of becoming strong and risked his life for 'Naruto'....it would have hindered his plan.

• Also, when Orochimaru deliberately emphasized, “MySasuke-kun”… With this comment, Naruto's anger finally reached its peak and got insane to the point of sprouting 4 tails.

Some Native speakers reactions to Naruto's “ Don't say Sasuke's name in front of me like he's yours”

1. “You snap(get angry) there? Well, How should I say it?...Isn't that a little off? ”

• Sensing Naruto's chakra, Sasuke quickly ordered to lead the way. As usual Orochimaru does not failed to notice the sudden mood changes in Sasuke.

• Sasuke was watching Naruto when Obito taunting and provoking him and he was crying when Obito sucked everyones's chakra. And of course Orochimaru noticed that Sasuke seems to be in a bad mood.

It's conon Sasuke is Naruto's Driving force and he's the one making Naruto stronger and stronger...

This panel shows that even other people, like Kakashi, can see that Naruto is really working so hard for Sasuke. Because Naruto, personally, believes in Sasuke and wants to save him.

6. ITACHI

When Itachi visited the village to kidnap Naruto after Hiruzen's death...Sasuke came between them. And Itachi noticed the way Naruto was so furious to draw Kyuubi chakra to protect Sasuke. Maybe that's why he came to this conclusion and asked Naruto “can you choose between Sasuke and Konoha? ”

7. SAI, PAIN & RAIKAGE

• Sai questioning “Why does that naruto still care/concerned about sasuke or why does he feel strongly about Sasuke despite he betrayed and hurted him?”

• Sasuke stated in their first fight that Naruto would never be able to understand him because he never had anyone in the first place no family no siblings, he was always alone. Now, Pain fixed that problem by nuked the village and pretty much murdered everyone. After the fight, Naruto recollects what Sasuke said in Vote 1 and what pain told him. Naruto realizes that he was wrong to think he knew what Sasuke was going through without having experienced something similar to what Sasuke did. After the death of jiraiya he understand a bit about wanting to avenge your important ones' death and how much it devour you. He now realized that it wasn't realistic that he thought he could get through to Sasuke without understanding his feelings and pain. That's why he says he understands Sasuke in this arc.

8. TOBIRAMA

In the Land of Waves arc, when they were only 12 years old, they could team up together without any direct communication. We know that the last time they fought together was 4 years ago, even then they could team up together without any direct communication.

9. KURAMA

• Sasuke couldn't even handle Naruto losing his arms despite he himself had lost one. How would he react when he sees Naruto dead in front of his eyes???? Those expression and his lines before proves that Sasuke may have had his mind set on killing Naruto. But the reality is that if that happens, his heart could not handle it. Kishi used Kurama to foreshadow this.

• Naruto gives kurama an extreme Glare when kurama lectures him about how he's never been able to do anything for Sasuke. And later in the war arc Naruto flashbacked about Sasuke and showed everyone that he regrets not reaching out to Sasuke back then when they were kids, even though he wanted to reach out to him.

• It's such an unnecessary scene, but Kishi brings up the kiss again lol. As usual, Naruto reacted very dramatically.

He had the same reaction when he accidentally kissed Sasuke in chapter 3, after which he quickly went to Sakura to verify his feelings and it didn't take him long to realize that he loves Sasuke. Kishi's deliberate thoughts and plans in that chapter screams “Naruto might be a Gay boy who wants to deny it really hard ”

Otherwise, Kishimoto literally didn't have to do any of this!!

10. EBISU

It's from the Pain arc, where Ebisu Sensei remembers Naruto's growth. From everyone calling him a 狐のガキ = kitsune no gaki = fox brat Or a "Kyuubi kid" to actually calling him by his real name “Naruto”.

[ガキ: in a rough way to say, which has negative nuance. This word comes from Buddhism monsters "餓鬼(がき)= gaki" born in the hell, which devour foods. There are people who call their children "gaki," but I don't think they mean it in a bad way. However, as a listener, it leaves a bad impression. The word "gaki" can also be used in a negative sense to describe a childish or immature person. ]

The memories begin with the people of Konoha hating him, and later the people of Konoha praise Naruto for stopping Gaara from attacking Konoha, and for bringing Tsunade in as the 5th Hokage.

When Jiraiya died the villagers says, “Is Naruto okay? He will not lose his heart, he will keep looking forward". Before that this panel appears when it comes to Sasuke. Even the people of Konoha felt that Naruto would be depressed if Sasuke wasn't in Konoha with Naruto.

The word used here is 落ちこんで which means to be depressed; to feel down; to feel sad; to be in low spirits.

落ちこんで is the conjunctive form of 落ち込む and the particle で is added to express the state in which the action of ``depression'' is in progress.

e. g:

- 彼は失恋して、しばらく落ちこんでい た。

- kare wa shitsuren shite , shibaraku ochikondeita .

-He was heartbroken and depressed for a while.
