So the first part was before I worked on my amv and got to see the iconic clash moment frame by frame. Anyways

My guess for the events something as follows:

Sun Wukong gets kicked out and goes back to Huaguo Shan and like, parties it up or something (hence his pheasant tail hat attire). The inciting incident that gets him kicked are a mix of the events surrounding the White Bone Spirit and bandit murdering (or knocking out. . . it is a kids show). And then Macaque takes his place and causes problems on purpose. Sha Wujing and/or Zhu Bajie have to track the monkey king down on Huaguo Shan and get his help with the imposter Monkey King. Such a confrontation occurs on the road and no part happens on the mountain.

The pair might not go through the ordeal of revealing the false monkey because Sun Wukong seems stronger than Macaque in the show, and he also knows Macque. thus the two could just duke it out with Wukong as the victor due to being the stronger/better fighter.

Given the scaring on Macaque, I probably headcannon the strike as a blow to the brow/temple. Probably with his fist as implied with the animation (i imagine that getting punched by Sun Wukong would effectively be the same as getting bashed with a rock). Otherwise I can easily imagine the scar through Macaque's eyebrow being caused by one of the edges on the Jingu Bang. Does Sun Wukong kill Macaque? ehhhhh, maybe. Makes his reactions to Macaque showing up again in the titular Ep a little weird, but maybe it's his own way of coping? Doylist answer is probably that the writers didn't fully have Macaque and Son Wukong's relationship figured out, and or it evolved as the show went on.

Some other stuff: Maybe its cause a lot of fic i've been reading was published before season 5 was dropped, but I feel like the "Into the Pagoda" dialogue is severely under utilized. "Macaque Stop, don't make me do this"

either shadow play or into the pagoda. Season 4 - 07. Also this. The mk comparisons to Sun Wukong keep adding up

In the Sonic Rivals games Silver seems to value bravery and facing things head on. He calls Sonic and Shadow brave before returning to the future in Sonic Rivals 1 and calls Eggman Nega a coward for using Metal Sonic 3.0 as a decoy in Sonic Rivals 2.

This is from like March so it isn’t my best work, but I wanted to show some of my efforts to change up the whole blue eye thing. Some of it (Sky, Wild, and Wars) still shows up in my new stuff :)

I’m gonna go a bit more in-depth so if you don’t want to read it might not want to open this

Sky I wanted to look really innocent, because that’s how people perceive him (don’t be fooled he’s an absolute gremlin). I also gave him glowing diamonds/rhombus pupils (you can see them in that other drawing I have of his eye. I like drawing eyes if you couldn’t tell). The red is for his loftwing. Also freckles are cute.

Four’s eyes are meant to be similarly shaped to Sky’s but more narrowed. They’re brown at the base, but have ‘rainbow’ reflections throughout them.

Ignoring Time’s markings, the big thing I want to be noticed is how angular his eyes are. I tried to reference the whole low-poly thing but idk how well it came across. Also made sure to keep his eye color super saturated to tie into how bright the colors are in oot.

Twilight’s eyes are a droopier version of Time’s eyes, with more lashes. Also they are a bit more green and have red/yellow on the inside and slit pupils. He had plain blue eyes before coming into contact with Twili magic, but changing your shape so many times has consequences. Also you can’t see it here but I like to think he has tapetum lucidium. I might rework his a little.

Wind’s eyes are big and round, like a toon Link’s should be. I tried to show light filtering through water, but idk how well it worked.

Legend is TIRED and has purpleish blue eyes because someone said it’s be cool once. Idk there wasn’t much thought for his.

Hyrule’s eyes are green, and change shape like a cartoon character. I think it’s be cool and also a fun show of passive magic. He doesn’t even realize he’s doing it.

Warriors has deep blue eyes and impeccable makeup. Classic pretty boy.

Wilds right eye has Shekiah runes in it, and his left is blurred out as a way of showing damage without just pushing it off or being too gory. Also he’s got the same eyeliner as in game because I like it.

Imtura: The Warrior 💚

I know Book 2 Imtura didn't win the poll but she was in the lead at the beginning so I started this art of her. It currently has exactly 400 shapes. I kind of forgot that I have actual work to do (silly real life) 🙈 So I'm stopping here, but I kinda like it like this. Maybe one day I'll finish it, but until then, I'm happy with this!
