“Anti-blackness has soaked through our minds and practices as the same systems that oppress and harm Black communities also oppress and harm ours, while working overtime to divide and conquer us. We recognize that while our Brown familias are also murdered by the police, that the context of our oppression is very different from that of Black people, and that our freedom depends on Black liberation. Unlearning anti-Blackness and relearning the praxis of of liberation is part of our process as Brown people to decolonize ourselves, our minds, and our communities in order to collectively heal from and resist the racial regimes that violate the dignity and humanity of our Black comrades.” -Monica Trinidad

A Coldstream Guards soldier is set to become the first to wear a turban during the Trooping the Colour parade.
About 1,000 soldiers will take part in the ceremony which marks the Queen's official birthday, on Saturday.
Guardsman Charanpreet Singh Lall, 22, a Sikh from Leicester, said he hoped it was looked upon as a "new change in history".
He said he expected it would encourage those from different religions and backgrounds to join the Army.
Got to love the Sikhs.

Sikh culture is based on a rich tradition of love and understanding, and as the Sikhs in this list show, it is also a culture of breathtaking beauty. These Sikhs exude dignity and poise, but unfortunately, I really do need them to get out of my headshots.
