I’m still listening to the Magnus Archives and ohhhhhh boy Jon is quickly becoming my new favorite whumpee. I have soooooo many ideas but I’m not finished with the Podcast yet.

But I’ve been imagining S3 Jon being transported back to S1 with all his memories but no wounds or anything to show for it. The whole staff thinking he’s gone off the deep end already, blabbering about Fears and Michael and Prentiss and-

He’s just so…terrified to be back. He can’t even take in that they’re all still alive and okay. He grips onto Sasha’s arm like she might disappear and it scares her.

He doesn’t want to experience everything again. He doesn’t even want to try and fix everything because he’s not sure it’s even possible. What if he’s just consigning them to a worse fate?

And then Elias walks in, asking what happened, a knowing smile spread across his lips. And Jon just freezes. He can’t do anything, even if he confronted Elias here and now, there’s nothing he could do to release everyone. If they even believed him in this state.

Spoilers for TMA episode 91: [spoiler]the moment where Daisy is holding Jon by the throat while Basira tries to coax her to put Jon down as hes whimpering and slowly dying oddly reminded me of someone telling a dog to drop something they shouldn't have that they put in their mouth. So I took the "No take only throw" meme template and drew Daisy as a german shepherd (cause police dog) with scars (cause serial killer) while Basira off screen yells at her to put Jon down. I think about MAG 117 a lot. First of all, most insane Jon whimpers we were ever blessed with. But deeper than that, the way he talks and reasons with himself before burning Gerry’s page is one of the biggest reveals of just how much a part of Jon loves the power he has. And how much that terrifies him.

I could do that. I have the power to do that. But I won’t! I’m a good person. So I won’t. But…. But I could.

And I think about that mentality a lot with Jon. Not only does he have immense power but it actively hurts to not abuse it.

Which is why yes bottom submissive Jon is understandable in the sense of taking responsibility off his shoulders. However, in the context of his asexuality and his powers, the dynamic of “its alright. Use that power. I give you the permission to. Be in control for once and don’t feel guilty about it.” And Jon being a pathetic whiny mess but all he needs is just enough of a push and snap. He’s held back a LOT for years at this point. It all has to go somewhere doesn’t it? And theres an outlet for that? With someone he trusts?

I think Martin was recovering for weeks after succeeding to find that breaking point, and Jon was apologizing over and over of course, but they both knew he desperately needed it. And that Martin sought it out.
