I like how Guppys sash looks like a nipped fish tail. I would imagine older Seakids doing that when their light is low but can't find any light source other than themselves or for establishing dominence like some fish in real life.

Nova: "Oooooh! Pretty! Like mermaid tail!"
Guppy: "Ah yes~ that one was a good fight. Tough opponent but not tough enough ( • ̀ω•́ )✧

Dragonsoul (III)
With dragon souls trapped in her mind and her skull ready to split, Idunn has an unexpected visitor in Sheogorath - but not quite in the guise she imagined.
(yes i am still working on cotd out of order so you get free snippets)
[First Entry]
[Second Entry]
—-
Idunn stood shivering, looking up at the two toned sky for staring at the being she now knew as Sheogorath was too terrifying a concept.
She couldn’t be mad. She’d always taken comfort in grounding herself in nature, in the whisper of wind through the grass, in the steadiness of the earth beneath her feet. The world around her was her anchor, but if her perception was warped, unreal -
“Breathe, my dear.” Sheogorath clucked, now far too close for comfort. She circled around Idunn like a predatory animal, sabre cat eyes glimmering. “Nothing to panic over. You have a problem that needs fixing, and I think I have the solution.” She extended a hand and tapped at Idunn’s temple, her long nails leaving a faint mark on her skin.
“All of your statues are of a man,” Idunn blurted out, flinching from the touch. Desperation edged into her tone, trying to prove things weren’t as bad as they seemed. “Are you really -“
“No vision, you mortals.” Sheogorath cut in. “I’m whatever I want to be. I thought I’d be nice and show up in a form you’d be comfortable with. I can be the Old Man if you’d like.” A cheshire grin, and Sheogorath’s form rippled with another onset of butterflies. Now an old man stood perilously close to Idunn, canines sharp and features sharper. “There’s the elf, yes, but I didn’t think you liked your men looking as old as they are.”
“I don’t,” Idunn gulped, feeling a sudden well of tears spring to her eyes at the thought of Tandreth - of liking Tandreth. She didn’t know what she thought or believed anymore, the world seemed so uncertain now, and the pressure in her skull pushed painfully at the back of her eyes.
“Whatever doesn’t help you sleep at night,” Sheogorath hummed and patted her on the shoulder. Another onslaught of butterflies and his appearance was once again that of the oddly familiar woman. She clapped her gloved hands together, and Idunn flinched from the sound. “Well! Let’s have a peek in that skull of yours before small talk bores us both to death, shall we? Have you seen what kind of corpse death from boredom leaves? Awful sight. I had it painted. Now…”
Before Idunn could stop her, Sheogorath grabbed her head, fingers digging into her temples. The pain made her vision water, but through her tears Idunn could see Sheogorath lean forward until sabre-cat eyes stared into hers. For a brief second Idunn swore they flashed mortal - green - before the entire world shifted. Their surroundings blurred, melted away, colors blending together until Idunn felt as if she was going to throw up. The pounding in her skull grew fierce, as if something was trying to escape. Idunn squeezed her eyes shut.
Then the pressure lifted, the world stilled with the relief only sleep would bring. Idunn opened her eyes, praying to be greeted by Sky Haven Temple’s empty sleeping quarters.
Instead she stood in a misty canyon, Sheogorath standing before her and over a dozen dragons chained to the rocks.
“Ah, there’s your problem,” Sheogorath said very matter-of-factly. “You haven’t discussed terms.”
“Terms?” Idunn asked weakly, feeling faint at the sight of just how many drakes she had bested. The reality was almost overwhelming. They lifted their heads, hateful eyes glimmering in the dark as they beheld her, chains rattling. The air rattled, too - rattled with their breathing, the low rumbles, the dangerous hiss of heated air crackling out between their teeth. Her head throbbed.
“You’re bad at eating souls,” Sheogorath explained, walking down the canyon path that led between the rows of chained dragons. “You let them have far too much leeway. Would you leave a child alone in a room?” Idunn swore a brief shade of sadness crossed Sheogorath’s features, but it was soon replaced by irreverence. “Of course not. They make a mess. They test boundaries. Now, you have some very large children here.”
One of the dragons roared, indignant, and Idunn cried out from the flash of pain in her head. She clutched at her temples and doubled over.
“I suppose you’ve been run too ragged to have any energy for keeping these dogs to heel, hm?” Sheogorath observed, lofting a brow. “Or perhaps you’re not capable of it. A shame, that - your head will pop like a melon.”
No - Idunn was capable of very few things, but her strength was something she could always rely on. With effort she drew herself back to her full height and walked purposefully down the path after Sheogorath. Now every inhale was painful, the mere presence of drakes so close to her making it feel as if something was pulling at the inside of her skull.
The motion made Sheogorath smile, though it did not reach her - his? Their? No, her - eyes. “Good lass. Now, terms - they’ve all been living in your head for free. That won’t do.”
“Not for free,” Idunn grit out, finding speech remarkably difficult but holding her ground nevertheless. “Through them I’ve learned how to breathe life into the Dovah tongue.” It helped to remember that she had indeed defeated each dragon standing before her, if only one at a time - the largest, a beautiful and terrible white wyvern - glared down at her with golden eyes. That had been the one to nearly kill her, back when she’d first met Tandreth -
The moment she thought of Tandreth the white dragon roared, and she screamed in response. The earth beneath her feet shook, rocks tumbled down from the canyon walls above, and the very sky seemed to be splitting apart.
“Fool girl,” Sheogorath murmured when the world stilled. “Misery is a delicious thing. Have you tasted an opponent’s despair? It’ll mend bones, if not hearts. Don’t think of such things here.”
Idunn nodded but soon regretted it, her vision sent spinning from the motion. “Where are we, anyways?”
“A dark corner of your mind. Not the darkest, don’t you worry - even I don’t want to tread there. The skulls of you heroes are marvelous fun, until they aren’t, then it’s all tears.”
“When do they start being all tears?”
“Oh, that’d spoil the surprise,” Sheogorath scolded. “I’ll give you one hint - you already know. All of you always know, it just takes time for you to see. That’s not why we’re here, though - that’s a matter that has a longer fuse than this.”
Idunn was finding it difficult to focus on anything, the way Sheogorath danced from concept to concept, so she settled on nodding dumbly, casting her gaze at each of the dragons. “Show me how to tame them.”
“They call you Dragonborn, don’t they?” Sheogorath hummed. “Heard that title before, but it’s buried under so much chintz. What makes you so? What makes you special? These dragons seem to have forgotten. Educate me. Educate them.”
It very nearly hurt to shift her gaze, the pressure behind her eyes so intense, but Idunn strode into the center of the canyon and stared each beast in the eyes. They were intelligent, filled with hate, vestiges of demigods whose wings had once beat the sky. Idunn had killed them all, but it was not enough to control them.
A question broached her mind, and she spoke it into the air the moment she comprehended it. “Why are you doing this to me?”
It was the white dragon that answered her, a rasp in Dovah that seemed to warp itself into the common tongue the moment it was spoken, translated and transformed in mid air. “It is all we have left to us. You would do the same.”
The answer made her frown, guilt bubbling in her gut. Hateful as they were, she had brought true mortality to the creatures - she could understand the fear, the hate, the desperation to inflict that same pain on the one who had wrought it.
Again, she thought of Tandreth - her rage at him, for leaving her, the brief fantasies of hurting him as much as he’d hurt her - and this time the white dragon roared louder than ever, flames licking at the sides of its mouth.
“You are weak, little dovaahkiin. Alduin will devour you, as you have us - if you make it so far.”
“You’re no help to yourself, you know!” Sheogorath called over, hands on her hips and looking thoroughly disappointed. “At this rate if the dragons don’t drive you mad, the elf will.”
Idunn tried to ignore the pain, tried to focus on the dragon’s words - on Sheogorath’s advice. What made her special? What was it to be Dragonborn?
Devourer of souls - yet they lived on in her head. A half life, but a life nevertheless.
Her next words were spoken slowly. “What happens to you if I don’t make it to Alduin? What happens to you if I die?”
The white dragon bristled, hissed. “We cease to be. A small price to pay, for your end.”
“Is it?” Idunn asked, dumbfounded at such a concept, such a surrender. “You’ve lived since… since eternity, really. The loss of something so old gives me pause, yet you’re willing to speed your own death along?”
The pressure in her skull felt as if it was easing - there was more hissing from the denizens of the canyon, but it felt like disagreement, discord. Sheogorath was beaming.
“What happens if I defeat Alduin?” Idunn continued, the lifting pressure making the ground under her feet feel all the steadier. It was easier to pretend she was confident, to believe that the impossible could come to pass.
“We go beyond,” another drake answered amidst the hissing and was snapped at by the pale dragon for its disobedience. Chains rattled as the creatures fell into infighting, and Idunn clutched at her head.
“Are you going to let them squabble like children?” Sheogorath needled. “Or are you going to use that Voice of yours?”
“STOP IT!” Idunn roared. The valley rumbled, rocks tumbling from cliffs to the ground below.
All at once the dovah fell silent. She panted, staring them down - recalling the defeat of each. So many, it seemed impossible, but she had done it, she had succeeded. Confidence surged through her, and the dovah shrank at her gaze.
“I’m going to defeat Alduin,” she continued steadily, “and so help me, if you interfere I’ll find a way to jam you into a place even worse than my skull.”
“Fool girl,” the white dragon hissed, the only one daring to challenge her. It snarled, flames licking out of its mouth once more, and lowered its head until Idunn could feel the radiant heat. “You’ve let the elf defeat you. As if he could ever-“
Crack.
Idunn barely noticed her warhammer in her hands, hardly registered her swing - but swing she did, connecting with the pale drake’s jaw.
“I am dovahkiin. I can end you again,” she threatened, the thought of Tandreth - of any of her foes daring to speak his name - igniting fury in her.
There was no more murmuring. The mists in the valley grew heavier, and Idunn’s vision went white.
The next time she opened her eyes she was in her bed at Sky Haven Temple. It was dawn, judging by the shaft of pink light spilling in from a crack in the ceiling - and in it, a butterfly.
Now you can deal with the elf, a familiar voice spoke in her mind, and Idunn despaired at the thought she was still mad. Or you can let it be and have a visit to my Isles. Be brave, little dragon.
At least her headache was gone. A greater one awaited in Tandreth - but that one she could bear, if she could see him again.

Been loving Breath of the Sky, and Chronicals of the Domain has been peaking my interest a ton! (I'm biased don't judge me) Ignore this ask if you've gone over it before, but what's the general dynamics/relationships between the Hylian knights and different Zora Guards in CotD? Are some more friendly while some are more harsh in terms of views?
I’m happy you’re enjoying it! :D No judgment here, we all like what we like!
Given how the elder Zora act in BotW, given how Mipha and Link’s relationship is kept subtle before the Calamity (which could honestly be due to a million factors, but it seems at least a little implied that the Zora/Hylian relationship wasn’t entirely perfect), and given that Link’s first visit to the Domain is with a legion of Hylian soldiers, I decided that CotD takes place in a period where Zora and Hylian relations are strained.
Zora’s Domain and Hyrule haven’t been in good communication with each other, but the death of the Queen, Dorephan’s mother, is an opportunity that Queen Zelda is willing to take to help rebuild the uneasy trust between the two peoples. Dorephan is willing to hear them out (Sidon obviously gets his endless optimism from his dad), his wife… not so much. The two peoples have had skirmishes in the past over things, though never outright war. As such, the captain of the Hylian team has experience fighting Zora and doesn’t really trust them. Some Zora feel similar, while others are at least willing to listen. Dorephan is a good influence on his people, and as he’s gonna be king, that’s certainly helpful and something the Hyrule Queen wants to take advantage of. (King Rhoam doesn’t disagree with his wife, but he, much like Dorephan’s wife, is much more hesitant)
That’s the political landscape that Link and his dad are walking into. They just got there in time for the funeral so Hyrule can pay its respects, and the diplomatic hopes to try and build a foundation from there.
#you ask skye answers#lovely clockwise works#Idk how much I’ll actually get into the politics of it in the story as this is also Link’s story#And he’s 4 and this’ll go WAY over his head#But that’s at least the context of what Abel and his team are dealing with#chronicles of the domain

COTD: Nymeria
Tag: @adriennegabriella @wingsoftheangels @candycanes19 @tashastrange89 @morby
(A/N: Last COTD for Martell Week. Ended up having her be the talking point, kinda struggled on an idea.)
Character of the day: Meria Martell/Nymeria
I found myself in library in Dorne, I have two books on me right now. One’s “Ten Thousand Ships” and the other is “The Loves of Queen Nymeria”. It was night time out and, of course that means I had the place to myself. I found myself reading under the stars.
I looked out to the night sky and it felt different.
I know it was the same night sky but seeing new things from the South, like certain stars was the different part. I could see one burning brightly.
“That is Nymeria's star, burning bright, and that milky band behind her, those are ten thousand ships. She burned as bright as any man, and so shall I.”
I turned and saw Arianne walking toward me.
“Good evening.” I greeted.
“Good evening, what are you doing awake?” She asked.
Arianne sat across from me and, saw the two books in my lap. A smile of happiness showed on her face. I guess these are here favorite books.
“I’m here to read for a while. I still do study a lot, there are things that I need to learn still.” I answered.
“You’re always studying, Uncle Oberyn, always tells us that you have a book on you at all times.” Arianne laughed.
“He’s not wrong it seems, you know I think you and my younger sister Arya would get a long.” I told her.
“Why do you say that?” Arianne asked.
“Well, Arya idolizes Nymeria. She named her direwolf after her, she also has a ship by that name too.” I replied.
Arianne’s eyes lit up; I knew a bit about Nymeria but not too much. We’re trying trying to get certain books up to the library at home. I look back over at Nymeria’s star; it’s a sign of hope and reminder to the people of Dorne.
Nymeria seemed like the next topic I’ll be studying for about two weeks to a month.
“Could I visit Arya sometime?” Arianne’s voice cracked me out of my thoughts.
“Of course, just make sure to let your Father know. I only say that because I don’t want him to be upset. I’m not sure who scares me more anger wise, my Husband or your Father. But I would probably say your Father. He reminds me of Nymeria.” I answered.
“Why’s that?”
“Honestly, they think things through clearly. Yes Nymeria acted at times with emotion, but she seemed more rational from what I was able to find on her. I’m certain I maybe wrong, but that’s the part of learning. I look forward to learning about her; and I look forward to you meeting Arya.”
Arianne pulled out a bottle of wine and two glasses.
“Oberyn’s?”
“Yes, yes it is.”
I couldn’t help but to laugh. I wasn’t going to tell him, it’s between us ladies. I grab the glass from her hand carefully.
Clink.
“To Nymeria, Valar morghulis.” Arianne said.
“Valar morghulis, Arianne.” On that night, I felt like I got closer to Arianne; we might give Dorne a headache by the end of this.

Sky: Children of the Drip
It was really funny to see prairie lagging and be extremely busy yesterday because of the last quest. I've seen more groups of 5 to 6 on winged light runs and veternas with way to little wedges on their capes.

𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞: lyrics from "Ghungroo" too lazy to translate it
Haven't made a set in a long while and IT SHOWS! I wasn't really planning on it either tbh, but I've gotten into the habit, or more of a little tradition with myself, of making a set to go with my birthday playlist. Shoulda stuck with a moodboard through, not happy with this doll set, but very much on brand for my vibe this birthday, it's depression, LOLZ.
ANYWAY! Finished my birthday playlist early this time, literally on the first of the month, my cousin dunked on the wip version cause it has old ass bleach ost, so mean! TTwTT apu won't get you the lush stuff I promised for your birthday (it's a lie, I for sure will). Don't really have any concrete plans this year besides a sleepover with my bestie, her hubs, and my little cousin. We're gonna go to lush to exchange all my tubs, lmao, and I guess hang out at the rich people mall for a while and come home. Idk, maybe we'll do an LOTR marathon, I've been showing my little cousin the original movies before she can watch the rings of power and we only just finished the two towers (kids have such little time these days), we'll definitely play board games tho, bestie and I so competitive and me and her hubs lowkey team up cause she's such a sore winner.

Late Nights (cotd.)
“What are you doing, Law?” Chopper asked, toddling up to the large blanket Robin had spread out for her and Law to lie on. He found them lying on their stomachs, propped up on their elbows and facing each other.
Robin, holding her wrist up for Law, looked at the little doctor and smiled at him, reminding Law of the way his mother used to smile at him and Lammy, or the way Sister had smiled at her students. He tried to ignore the dull ache in his chest as he looked down at Robin’s wrist and traced a slow circle where her pulse was. “Law’s telling me about the different blood vessels in the body, Chopper,” Robin said.
Chopper flopped down into a seated position next to Robin. “I could do that, Robin,” he said, voice bright and full of youthful excitement.
“Yes, Chopper,” Robin said, the smile softening her voice. “I know you can.”
The little guy wanted to impress Robin so much, didn’t he? Law would have been much more irritated had it been anyone else on the ship, but looking at Chopper’s furry face, his round eyes, Law found that he couldn’t stay mad at the reindeer, much like he couldn’t stay mad at Bepo. Pointing out the veins in Robin’s arms had been an excuse to get handsy with her out in the open, and Robin seemed interested in gaining knowledge–and she certainly seemed to enjoy his excuse for touching her–but now he had nothing to do. Seeing that he was no longer needed, Law rolled over onto his back, pillowing the back of his head with his hands, and he stared at the sky, watching clouds drift by.
Law tuned out their conversation, looking at Robin when he heard her giggle at something Chopper said. Robin caught him looking at her once, and she smiled down at him before turning her attention back to Chopper. Law stared back up at the sky, marveling at how something as simple as a smile from her could make him feel better, lighter than he had in so long. He concentrated on the feeling of the ship moving through the water, bringing them closer to Dressrosa, and for once Law did not feel anxious to get there as soon as possible.
-
Law appreciated that Robin didn’t feel the need to keep things between them a secret. While he still had his reservations about spending the night in her room since Nami would be there–Law still wanted some privacy–he appreciated that Robin felt that she could come up to him and ask him if he wanted to take a bath with her, even with some of the others in earshot.
He watched her as she tested the water from the showerhead, saw the way she smiled contentedly after she adjusted the temperature to her liking. It reminded him of how she’d looked when he found her after breakfast that morning, standing barefoot in the grass on Sunny’s lawn, smiling down at the ground as she curled her toes around grass blades.
He wondered how it felt to feel so at peace with one’s life.
He almost asked her when she invited him to step under the water with her, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him to her. But that was a conversation Law didn’t want to have tonight–not when he was so close to facing the man who had permanently ruined any chances Law had at knowing peace. So Law settled his hands on Robin’s waist and laid his mouth on hers, kissing her underneath the spray of water.
-
“When did you get this?” Law said, tracing the faint scar located next to Robin’s right shoulder blade.
Robin, draped over the side of the bathtub, lifted her chin from her crossed arms and looked over at Law, her eyes dulling as she retreated into her memories. “I think I was twelve,” she said, staring past his shoulder. “Or maybe I had just turned thirteen. It was a long time ago.”
Law pushed Robin’s hair aside so he could see her back more clearly. He ran his fingertips along the bumps of her spine. Robin shivered, laying her cheek against her arm and staring up at him like she had their first night together. “I like it when you do that,” she said.
Law smirked, his gaze and fingers returning to the scar on her upper back. “How did you get it?”
Robin’s eyelids drooped. “My traveling companion and I ran into a disagreement. My solution was to leave; his was to pull out his knife.”
“Hm?” Law stared at Robin’s scar and he felt compelled to lean over and kiss the faint line in Robin’s skin.
“I can’t remember what it was about,” she said. “He became just another face.”
“There have been many of those.”
“Yes.” She continued to stare forward. “I learned how to perform light first aid on myself thanks to people like him.”
“Oh?”
She smiled at him over her shoulder. “There are many things you can learn through reading and trial and error.”
Law nodded. His Devil fruit had been nothing but trial and error in the early days. He remembered how whatever faint feelings of excitement and accomplishment he’d felt when he first figured out how to make his fruit work for him had been overtaken by the aching emptiness he’d felt knowing that it had come to him too late to save Cora-san.
“You must have gotten pretty good at it, then,” Law said, bringing his attention back to Robin. He added, with a smirk, hoping she hadn’t noticed the change in his mood, “For a civilian.”
“Well, I’m no doctor,” Robin said, turning herself around to face him. She lightly tapped his nose with the tip of her finger playfully. “But I did manage to take care of myself for twenty years.” Several more sets of hands sprouted from her back, reaching out in multiple directions. Law watched Robin’s new limbs, transfixed. She spoke again, bringing his attention back: “It also helps to have more than two hands.”
Law chuckled, looking at one of the hands reaching towards him. He reached back, pressing his palm against hers and lacing their fingers together. Robin removed her extra hands except for the one holding his. “Twenty years?”
Robin nodded. “I was on my own for a long time before I met Luffy and the others,” she said, her words taking on a solemn edge that she hadn’t used around him since they’d boarded the ship after leaving Punk Hazard. But like a bank of clouds passing by, the darkness from her expression lifted. She released her hold on his hand, bringing herself closer so she could settle in close to him.
Law put his arm around her, reaching up to touch her hair, so much heavier with water. He felt several unasked questions pressing against his lips, wanting out, but Robin wasn’t offering, so Law wouldn’t pry. He rested his head against hers and breathed in deeply, inhaling the steam in the bathroom, and he allowed himself to enjoy this moment with Robin.
Robin lifted her hand out of the water, bringing it to his face, fingers following the curve of his jaw down to his chin. “Law,” she said softly.
“Yes, Robin?” he said, having a feeling of what she was going to ask him next.
“Would you like to spend the night with me?”
Law chuckled softly. “You waited until I was comfortable to ask me, didn’t you?”
“Yes, I did,” Robin said, sounding pleased with herself.
“Are you sure Nami-ya will be all right with that?” He’d rather deal with a room of snoring men than deal with Nami’s wrath.
“Nami won’t mind,” Robin said, reaching up and smoothing his hair back, the water keeping it flattened against his skull. “So long as we're quiet.”
“Hm.” He thought of how it would feel to get into bed with Robin after drying off, to have her lying next to him in the night, and he felt all of his old excuses for not spending the night leave him. “All right, then. Sure.”
Robin smiled at him and it was almost enough to make Law forget that there was a chance that he would not be walking out of Dressrosa alive.

yo i didn’t intend to share this at first but i kinda want to talk about it anyway
i just tried to pitch part of Legends: CotD to my religions professor?
okay here’s some backstory
i’m in a world religions class this quarter, it’s pretty cool
we got a big ol project due at the end of the quarter that can basically be anything we want
and i think my prof said one of the options was to make up a religion
and i’m just like Hell Yeah that sounds kinda fun
and then i remembered... i already made one up
this is what i said in an email i just send him clarifying whether or not this was an idea i could actually use
“The religion revolves around a creation myth with deities presiding over certain elements of life, and those who follow it perform rituals in order to receive good fortune and give their thanks to their gods. There is even an afterlife and reincarnation concept involved.”
so, to elaborate, here’s what all of that actually means!
the creation myth is how the planet of Adela in Legends came to be - with each Dragon God contributing something to the world
each Dragon God is based in an element essential to life on the planet
and here’s the real interesting part. originally, i had created these other beings more similar to the homunculi in FMA called the Dragonborne, and they were a subspecies of Legend that had human form except they had no naughty bits and they had three black dots on their bodies: on the forehead, on the chest, and on the abdomen
since then i’ve changed that to an actual religion/cult who still refer to themselves as the Dragonborne but are just ordinary humans who paint the black dots on themselves, plus one in between the shoulderblades on the back, with each dot representing some trait
they do perform rituals such as prayer and dance and giving offerings upon an altar to give their thanks to the Dragons who gave them their life and planet
that part isn’t 100% fleshed out but yeah it’s actually a pretty solid groundwork for an actual religion, and i’m excited that i might be able to share it
edit: i forgot about the afterlife part! so the Dragons live in some heavenly plane above the sky, and when things die their souls are taken down the road up to that plane to either rest or being reincarnated as another being
so yeah that’s pretty cool
#legends: children of the dragons#long post#also while thinking about this i came up with a new and better plot for someone and that got me Real excited

#riseandvibe Four of Swords & the Hierophant Today you are encouraged to rest, to take a break from the daily stress, to find time for yourself, & to give your exhausted mind a break. There's been a piece missing lately that you've been nearly too busy to notice that's begging for a reconnection. It can be difficult to find time for your religion or spirituality, but sometimes it's essential. You don't need to go to a service or create a ritual... Allow yourself to be somewhere quiet. Pray, meditate, get lost in the vastness of the ocean or the sky; remind yourself of your higher power and rediscover some faith. It will bring you the peace of mind you've been needing. #goodmorning #tarot #tarotcommunity #tarotreadings #cotd #tarotreaders #divination #dailytarot #tarotreadersofinstagram #goodvibes

Plotting Rules and Guidelines: I. Please put some thought and effort into your suggestions, I'm going to ignore anything that says something to the effect of "I dunno, here's my set, what do you think." That's just lazy and rude. I won't straight up ignore something that just says "friends" with no explanation, but I would appreciate more effort that that. It's doesn't have to be a George R. R. Martin book, but at least a sentence or two. Please and thank you.
II. If I say nyet to something, I don't just mean nyet forever, stay away from my baby. I just may not like the idea or it may not work with my character, and I will usually offer a counterproposal, but if I'm out of ideas, I'll let you know, and we can bounce around different ideas until we're both satisfied. S III. Please remember to attach your plotting sets. XD

| full name: Svea Richelle Estelle Sauvageon
| nicknames: Vea (Vay-ah), V, the Swede, Stella (by her Grandmama), my moon and stars (Grandpapa), Richelle (her mother), princess (papa)
| age: 17 (or 16 if we're starting the group in September, but she'd turn 17 in 3 months)
| gender: female
| sexuality: heterosexual
| birth date: November 23
| blood status: pure-blood (though, not the purest. Her mother's family is a straight-up blood-purist type family, but her father's is far more open, and if you trace back 5 generations, there's a muggle-born, as well as muggles and etc further back. So technically, she is a "pure" blood, since that term is generally applied to someone whose ancestors up to their grandparents have no muggle or muggle-born blood, but there are numerous muggles and muggle-borns if you go back beyond that, on her father's side. Her mother's is as inbreed as the royal families of the real world.)
| place of birth: Enköping, Sweden
| accent: alternates between Swedish and Posh English, usually depending on her level of anger/passion
| pet: a tiger patterned kitten, super smol and super cute, but has been a "kitten" for a suspiciously long time. It's been tiny and like a baby since she first got it in her fourth year, though she simply claims that it's a rare Swedish breed. She named it Vhagar.
| patronus: dragon (Swedish Short-Snout)
| wand: Acacia wood with a dragon heartstring core, 11 ¾" in length and rather inflexible
| residence: Hogwarts Castle (September through May), Prince Estate, located near Cornwall (rest of the year, and more legally speaking, than physically, rarely spends more than two weeks there), Sauvageon Estate, located in Enköping, Sweden (generally where she spends her holidays)
☆──════♦hogwarts stats♦════──☆
| house: Slytherin
| year: seven
| best class: Arithmancy and History of Magic (honestly, she's great at all of her classes, but those two are her highest scores)
| worst class: none
| favourite class: care of magical creatures
| o.w.l.s: outstanding in all subjects
| extracurriculars: Quidditch (Slytherin Chaser)
☆──════♦appearance♦════──☆
| overall: she's quite physically attractive (and she's aware of it), she tends to draw stares where ever she goes, and that's not including her extravagant style and taste in friends. Alongside being generally super beautiful, she's also physically fit (having been a chaser for years), has high cheekbones, and an overall very gorgeous, European look.
| hair colour: blonde, sometimes magically died platinum/silvery-gold (because she's a nerd)
| hair style: long, and generally tied into a different style everyday; ponytails, elaborate braids, etc. When's she's feeling lazy, she'll just leave it free, yet it always ends perfectly straight without any effort on her part.
| eye colour: light blue
| body: slim and athletic
| ethnicity: caucasian (Swedish/British with French ancestry)
| height: 1.73m/5'7"(ish)
| style: erratic, she wears numerous styles, and doesn't really have one exactly, though if you wanted to summarize her closet in a single word; expensive would be that word. She prefers clothes of silk, cashmere, or leather, and tends towards gem embellished things.
| faceclaim: Cara Delevingne
☆──════♦persona♦════──☆
| personality: Svea is an "odd" Slytherin, as she does not prescribe to the concept of blood purity in the least, nor is she an active bully. She's Swedish (half), they're an amazingly liberal and socialist country, and she's quite proud of that. However, that doesn't mean she's not an arrogant, full of herself, elitist arsehole, because she absolutely is. In fact, one could argue that she's more arrogant and elitist than the average Slytherin, since she feels she's earned her arrogance. She's an extremely dedicated, hardworking, and ambitious person, going above and beyond for everything she attempts. She's a high-achieving, type-a sort of person, she believes that if you want something, you need to work to earn it, a line of thinking which sometimes alienates her own housemates, but if you don't have any skills of note, you're not worthy enough to chill with her. She's extremely opinionated, and passionate, and generally walks around like she owns the place. However, despite being one of the biggest elitist arseholes around, she's also, contradictorily, extremely liberal. The most clear example of her liberalism being her hatred of the concept of blood purity. She was raised on Swedish ideals, a very liberal and socialist nation where blood purity or "impurity" was irrelevant, blood is blood, move the fck on. Discrimination on things like blood status or socio-economic status, she will not allow because that's stupid af and Slytherin is not a house for morons. Despite her elitism, when she's your friend, she's heavily involved, from studying to hanging out, whatever. She cares deeply when she cares and will not tolerate any harm coming to those for whom she cares, hexing such people with barely a second thought.
Svea is someone who tends to internalize her own problems, she's highly self-aware and when genuinely hurt by something or someone, she tends to just walk away and brood silently in a dark corner. She sees herself as a leader and leader's can't go around showing weakness, so she struggles to open up about that side to even her closest friends (also most of her friends are probably arseholes, Slytherins, so that's not the best idea anyway). Having said that, she's always around to give (unsolicited) advice/offer to hex someone. She's not a very loose or "go with the flow" type of person, she hates such thinking, like, no, think about what you want to do. Fun is best when it's planned well in advance. She's mildly OCD, it's not obsession, it's the correct way of doing things. She won't throw a tantrum (generally), but will move her things back into place. However she's not what we would call neat, she leaves her things all over, though she claims that's it's "controlled chaos", and she does always seem to immediately find whatever she was looking for. Svea is rather independent, and goes about her business with little care for what others think about it. She is a little vain, but like, look at her, why shouldn't she be? And has zero trouble using her beauty to manipulate people into doing what she wants. She's somewhat aggressive and rather commanding, generally speaking to elders and fellow students with the same tone of mild to moderate superiority, but contradictorily, is quite helpful and nice to first years (what, she has a soft spot for smol, cute things).
Despite all her elitism, and superiority complex, Svea is a passionate and hardworking individual who puts her all into work and friendship. She cares deeply when she cares, and generally has an attitude of "if you want respect, earn it."
| likes: stupid puns, muggle space exploration science, quidditch (Vrastra Vultures forever btches!), winter, snow, muggle technology, EUROVISION (hey, she's a European, and a Swede, they love the Eurovision), Melodifestivalen, muggle EuroPop music, football (aka soccer, but she European, she call it by its proper name. Also, ARSENAL FOREVER BÌTCHES), Aaron Ramsey, muggle history, magical history, the stars, the night sky, a song of ice and fire (of course), Dragons, Sweden, magic, her wand (precious), Tolkien's Middle-Earth, Vhagar (precious baby), muggle comedy panel shows, herself (ya seen her? She's real pretty), emeralds, satin, muggle drinks (vodka and ice coffee with caramel are delicious, she will fight you), firewhiskey, rain, kittens, dragons, magic
| dislikes: rude people (there's a difference between being full of yourself and having manners), Hogwarts magic interfering with her muggle shít, her housemates making fun of her muggle shít (like, excuse me, but can your old af radio playing all 1000+ Eurovision songs at any time of day? That's what I thought), "woman" being used as an insult (she is a woman, and better than you, so fúck off), bertie botts every flavour bean (it's the "every" flavour that repulses her), idioticy, unearned elitism (if you wanna act superior, fine, but at least have something that makes you superior, and blood is not one of those things), Cornwall, camomile tea (it's disgusting), corduroy, roses, her things being moved
| hobbies: reading, learning, football, just hanging out with her friends (forcing them to watch Eurovision)
| habits: - eye rolling (so much eye rolling) - tends to tune out her entire environment when she's in "the zone" (no longer walks and reads because she has run into and fallen off of stuff) - twirls her hair with her wand when she's thinking (like how we use fingers) - Swears a lot - hums Eurovision songs around 90% of the time
| talents: - multilingual (English, Swedish, French, Russian, German, and Danish) - magic (she has yet to encounter a form of magic she does not immediately excel at) - memory (it's not really eidetic or photographic, because it's not instant, but after 3 reads of a thing, she can rattle off the whole thing word for word) - making references (that's a talent right? Because otherwise, I am screwed) - emotional manipulation/acting (works best on people that don't know her, she can still manipulate other people, but it takes a little more effort and time) - obsessing (again, totally a talent right because otherwise I have literally no skills)
| boggart: her mother
| amortentia smells: fresh coffee (though the taste disgusts her, hence she pumps caramel into her ice coffee), newly laundered clothes, and petrichor (the scent of wet earth after a recent rain fall)
☆──════♦family and such♦════──☆
| Petter Albrecht Alvar Sauvageon Father || FC: Colin Firth Svea was very close to her father, and inherited his love of the muggle world. Her fondest memory is attending a Eurovision Song Contest Grand finale with him as a child before being forced to move to Britain. Petter was a rather Swedish fellow, charming, pretty, very liberal, socialist, feminist. When Svea was 13, and Lili 8, he disappeared whilst he, some colleagues and magical law enforcement were hunting a dragon dealer by the Sea of Azov. He attended Durmstrang and did not like it there. Svea and Lili called him "Papa".
| Diana Elizabeth Charlotte Prince Mother || FC: Rachel Weisz Svea and her mother have a ... complicated to say the least. Well, to be honest, Svea doesn't like her very much and they do not get along. Svea dislikes her maternal family, personality-wise, she is similar to them, she's an elitist arsehole just like them, but feels they do not have the merits to walk around like they own England. When Svea was first born, Diana simply preferred to believe she didn't exist, and considers her a mistake, though as the 10th anniversary of her mistake approached, her father convinced her to bring the child to Britain to attend Hogwarts as no blood of his would attend an inferior, foreign school. Diana is a traditional pureblood, and makes clear her deep resentment and disappointment of Svea for being a blood traitor. Despite their dislike of each other, however, the mother and daughter are rather alike, both being ambitious, high-achieving type-a people. Although they maintain a strict distance from each other, her mother's opinion and lack of maternal love does bother Svea, though she stubborn refuses to talk about it and tends to shove those feelings between 60 layers of anger and bitterness. Svea calls her "Mother" with about 397 layers of salt and sarcasm in her tone.
:: Sauvageon Family ::
The Sauvageon's are a very family old wizarding family, they were originally French, and later immigrated to Sweden in the late 1700's. Unlike most ancient wizarding families (particularly the British ones), they have never shied away from breeding with muggles and muggleborns, often gaining the label of "blood traitor" from the British families, but they're Swedish, and blood density is irrelevant there. There are as liberal and socialist as their country. Despite being loathed by the blood purist-type families, they are still approached very few generations for marital matches, as they are exceedingly wealthy and when the aforementioned house runs out of options.
| Ludvig Danel Freyr Sauvageon Paternal Grandfather || FC: Sir Patrick Stewart Cutie patootie grandpa, called Grandpapa by Svea and Lili, he's super dorky and a massive nerd, easily amused and genuinely a happy fellow. His anger, said to be rare, is apparently a sight to behold.
| Linnéa Nathalie Petra Sauvageon née Magnusdotter Paternal Grandmother || FC: Dame Judi Dench Boss as.s b.tch aka Grandmama, she's generally the person in charge. Super class and elegant af, commanding, witty, and super awesome. One of Svea's role models and basically # life goals.
| Brigitta Camilla Vanja Sauvageon Paternal Aunt || FC: Gillian Anderson Classy, straightforward, elegant, and badas.s, has an unclear high-ranking role in the Swedish Ministry of Magic.
| Kåre Lukas Alexander Sauvageon Paternal Uncle || FC: James D'Arcy Pretencious, but fundamentally good hearted. He's an art collector, of both muggle and magical artists.
| Iliana Vyacheslavovichna Drubetskaya Step-mother || FC: Lena Headey Svea gets along rather well with her step-mother, and admires her quite a bit. Iliana and her father married when Svea was 4, so she's known her for quite a while, and share a rather maternal bond. She was also the person who taught Svea Russian and the two used it to tease and joke about her father in front him (because he couldn't speak it). She played for the national Russian Quidditch team, but retired 10 years ago because of injury. She now writes about Quidditch matches and players in a sports column for the local Swedish Wizarding Paper, and occasionally does commentary.
| Lena "Lili" Petterovna Sauvageon Younger Half-sister || FC: Dafne Keen Just began her second year at Koldovstoretz, the Russian Wizarding school. She's precious and adoring, and like a tiny Svea, though much nicer and less elitist, and sends Svea a letter by owl nearly daily (receiving one in return at the same consistency). They write their letters in Swedish since it's unlikely for any of their fellow students to be able to read them. They're super attached and close, and adorable af!
:: Prince Family ::
An old English, pure-blood wizarding family, they are fervent purportors of the concept of blood supremacy and purity, and proud Slytherins. Having all been sorted into the House dating back to Salazar Slytherin himself (or so they claim). Due to centuries of inbreeding with other pureblood families (who are all cousins at this point), the Princes tend to have the following traits; violent tendencies, mental instability, and some are enfeebled (though the family goes to great lengths to hide and eliminate such members). Additionally, due to their close genetics, the family additionally has trouble conceiving, generally ending up with only one child born per generation.
| Marcius Titus Polaris Prince Maternal Grandfather || FC: Sir Michael Caine Svea does not like her grandfather in the least, nor does he particularly like her, they define incompatibility between generations. She's considers him a relic of a dying time, and he considers her an uppity, idiotic child not worthy to have a drop of his blood running her veins.
:: other ::
| Lara Coburg Muggle Childhood Best Friend || FC: Holliday Grainger A muggle Svea met when enrolled in muggle schools as a child, and thick as thieves, regularly write to each other (though Lara asks the Sauvageon's to send her letters to Svea, and Svea has her owl send them to the family estate instead of Lara's home), and hang out whenever they can. She's aware of the magical world, and has been sworn to secrecy by the magical and non-magical Swedish governments (which was cool 'cause she got to meet the then PM - the muggle one).
☆──════♦biography♦════──☆
Svea is half-Swedish, half-British, her father was Swedish wizard and renown dragonologist; Petter Sauvageon, her mother; Diana Prince, is an accomplished and revered employee at the Department of International Magical Cooperation. Her parent's never married, her being the result of a liaison, which the Swedish part of her family couldn't give less of a fck about, but the British half are extremely embarrassed by. She was born in semi-secrecy, the Prince's very much wanted to pretend she did not exist, and tried to hide Diana's pregnancy in England, claiming she was taking a long earned, and extensive year long holiday abroad. The Sauvageon's, however, did not give a sht, and happily excitedly told their friends about their first grandchild (but they kept the identity of the mother a secret because they're not arseholes, and found her constant reminders to be a nuisance). She was born in the Sauvageon Estate in Enköping (estate is a really nice way of saying small castle, really), and remained in Sweden until she was 10, as the Prince's willingly and happily gave up custody of her.
From the age of 2-5, Svea was enrolled in Förskola and when aged 6, she attended Förskoleklass, school for muggle children in Sweden (both are optional for Swedish kids, "Förskola" is preschool, available to children from ages 1-5, and "Förskoleklass" is preschool class, which I guess is effectively a year of kindergarten, for children aged 6). She made numerous muggle friends, including her lifelong childhood best friend, Lara Coburg, to whom she still regularly writes, and visits when back in Sweden, and to whom she revealed her magic. She attended 4 years of the muggle compulsory school in Sweden (which is for ages 7-16, and basically the north American equivalent of elementary through to high school), with the plan being that she would "transfer" to private, boarding school once she reached the age for magical schooling. However, when she was 10, her mother and maternal grandfather came to Sweden to claim custody and make her a British citizen, to meet the residential requirements to attend Hogwarts. The Sauvageon's initially refused, but as they loathe their local home school, Drumstrang (a very non-Swedish Scandinavian school, because Sweden is liberal af and Drumstrang is magic racist af), they agreed.
Svea spent a year living with her mother and maternal grandfather before being admitted into Hogwarts and did not like it in the least. They were horrified and appalled by the rambunctious, muggle-friendly, aggressively European child she was (and tbh, still is), and spent the year trying to force it out of her. They kept her isolated and cut off all her connections to her father's family, and tried to instruct her in the ways of pureblood, often screaming in frustration and anger when she argued back or simply replied with "so what" or "why". They later took to locking her in rooms, and starving her when she started leaving the estate on her own to mingle with the local muggle population. Eventually, their little war came to a head when they broke her electrical toys from her father's family, and in her fury, she magically set fire to the Prince Estate (on purpose, though they claimed it was an accident to the Improper Use of Magic Office). The fire resembled the Fiendfyre curse, and it was stronger than any fire Svea had produced before. Although no one died, the entire estate became ruins, and took 4 ministry workers plus her mother and grandfather to contain. After the incident, Svea was able to reconnect with her paternal family (crying to the ministry people there about missing her father and worried that her grandfather would say no because he's jealous of her other grandfather, yes she was faking her tears, anyway, they fell for it and informed her Swedish fam who immediately apparated to the Prince Estate). The Sauvageon's offered to pay for the restoration of the Prince Estate, but in exchange, Brigitta Sauvageon would be staying with them until Svea left for Hogwarts. Once that was settled, Svea and her maternal family became akin to strangers living in the same house, with Marcius Prince calling Svea and her aunt "unwelcome guests".
Svea excelled at Hogwarts from the get go, she ran into some trouble with blood purists in her house, but due to her indifferences to the opinions of others for whom she has no respect, and long list of accomplishments, bullying hasn't really been an issue for her, she's really far too confident for bullying to even work though, like what would they say?
Would-be bully: you're ugly. Svea: b!tch, have you seen me?
Would-be bully: your blood is impure and polluted by the filth of muggles Svea: yeah, and so is yours, it's called species propagation.
Would-be bully: you're a worthless blood traitor Svea: *points at all her awards and grades*
Anyway, she's active in school events, has too much pride for school and her house, (also Sweden) and SLYTHERIN IS SO WINNING THAT HOUSE CUP THIS YEAR MOTHERFCKERS!!!
☆──════♦other♦════──☆
‣ her name is poorly made pun, like, "pun" is actually pushing it. "Svea" comes from a personification of Sweden, a derivative of "Svear", the Swedish name for the ancient Germanic tribe; the Swedes. "Svear" also later evolved into "Sverige", the Swedish name for Sweden and means "the realm of the Svear". Her surname, "Sauvageon", is a French form of "Savage", an English word, nickname, and surname meaning wild and uncouth, which was derived from a Middle English form of Old French; "salvage" or "sauvage", which meant untamed. Effectively, her name means Savage Swede, the flip around being a ref to the annoying flip around in the French language with certain terms and/or phrases (also in other languages, but French is the one I got beef with as a Canadian person). Richelle and Estelle are just because I like frenchy names that rhyme, and they're vaguely posh sounding, so I'm assuming her mother picked those ones. I say, assume, I made these characters, she did pick them for Svea.
‣ She could've been a Ravenclaw, but her ambition heavily outweighs her thirst for knowledge
‣ Her muggle electronic devices somewhat function at Hogwarts, working around the magical interferences by having them be powered by magic (so her laptop, phone, etc now never die, and are partially magic, decreasing the interference from all the magic around the castle), however, she is still trying to receive satellite/etc signals which don't work in the school, and she's forced to keep those features off because otherwise her screen goes all wonky. Hurray for having downloaded everything though. Enjoy X-Files and Eurovision Slytherin House. XD
‣ uses a ridiculous array of glitter and nerd-design pens (ink and quills are aesthetically pleasing, but impractical. Come on, the pencil was invented in fcking 1564)
‣ obtained her appariting license earlier than would be possible (because birthday makes her 17 after the usual UK test dates) by applying for it at the Swedish Ministry of magic, which issues Apparition licenses at 16 (completely made that up, but whatever, I don't like half of the few things we know about JKR's Sweden, they're not very Swedish. How is Drumstrang a Scandi school? Scandi's are so liberal, I get it's a German, wwii stereotype, but make it limited to German and Germanic states then, the Scandi's are liberal af. Well, Sweden is, also I think Finland, and probably Denmark).
☆──════♦plotting ideas and notes♦════──☆
[I'll add more as I think of them]
I. She's extremely competitive with Ravenclaw's and loathes that they have the label of being the "smart house", since her house is just as intelligent, and she considers herself above them. Her arrogance and elitist attitude come out at their highest when she's arguing with a Ravenclaw.
II. Your carer; possibly limited to Slytherin house, but she cares so you don't have to. Although, that caring is also limited, there's only so many people she can care about. Everyone doesn't deserve it.
III. Her relationship with Slytherins may be a bit complex depending on where your OC stands on blood purity. Svea's an elitist, yes, but she's not a blood purist, and has plenty of muggle-born and muggle friends, her own mother has labeled her as a "blood traitor", so if you're of the "pure bloods are the bestest, kill everyone else", you may run into some problems.
IV.

--Slytherin--
↪ Damien Greaves | @.natasha-maree13 House: Slytherin FC: Matthew Daddario Info: One of Svea's best friends, despite his psychopathy. She's able to easily discern between when he's messing around, and when he's being genuine. Both being high-achieving, superiority-complex ridden as.sholes with a shared fondness for certain muggle things, they get along fantastically, despite one of them lacking the major spectrum of human emotions. They have their own little clique, The Slytherin Silver Trio, and it's better than yours will ever be. XP ---> side character plotting: Lyra Greaves ------{FC: Alexandra Daddario, House: Slytherin} -----tbf
↪ Eloise Avery | @.themadmonarchist House: Slytherin FC: Abbey Lee Kershaw Info: Evolved into buddy-buddy friends more recently, and are Eurovision besties! Okay, they have like a close bond and other proper friendship stuff that I'm gonna ramble about, but, clearly, EUROVISION IS THE BEST AND MOST IMPORTANT THING EVER!!! Okay, I'm chill now, mostly. They first met as children, when Svea's family were trying to teach her the "enlightened" ways of pureblood-ism, didn't go well, the Avery's had their precious heir exposed to glitter muggle music for the first time. At Hogwarts, they didn't particularly get along in the beginning, due to Eloise's connection with the dou.che crew (as I call them, basically Blood Purist Bullies), however, they are quite similar later bonding during o.w.l.s and post-Eloise leaving dou.che crew over their similar pasts, passion for muggle stuff, and needing to outstanding on everything. Sliver Trio member numero trois!
↪ Octavia Thygeson | @.melophilia-c House: Slytherin FC: Natalia Dyer Info: Despite Svea's general elitist attitude, they along quite well, Svea showing the newbie around Hogwarts and such, and later bond over their close ties to members of Gryffindor House, who are generally seen as the enemy in Slytherin. ---> side character plotting: Mason Thygeson ------{FC: Hugh Dancy, House: Gryffindor} ------Become friends through Octavia, apparently her "spunk" reminds him of sister. Also friends through Henry. Also, also, Svea aggressively ships him with her bestie, Syn. Ship shop and all.
↪ Loralei Expura | @.thespian-at-large House: Slytherin FC: Dove Cameron Info: Like a little sister to her, Svea is very protective of Loralei, who is prone to being bullied for not being a pureblood in their house. She also convinced Loralei to join the Slytherin Quidditch team, and ensures Loralei takes her pills by enchanting her belongings to constantly remind her until she takes them.
↪ Leida Nelms | @.stackmel House: Slytherin FC: Ashley Benson Info: Friends, more or less. Certainly some American digs on Svea's part, but generally get along being teammates and housemates.
↪ Chanel Black | @.daily-donuts House: Slytherin FC: Ruby McCarthy Info: Svea and Chanel despise one another. The only exception is on the quidditch pitch where they are forced to work together. Chanel saw Svea as the edgy cool girl, but Svea just saw Chanel as an obnoxious immature teen. To be fair, she attempted to be polite with the girl which misled Chanel into believing they were friends because of her bubbly personality. Unfortunately, Svea told her the truth whenever she noticed the teen hanging out with her more and more. Chanel’s hurt grew to her being insecure about herself and a passionate hate to Svea. They compete in quidditch every practice and they both attempt to one up the other. Chanel secretly wants to still be friends with Svea but she knows that will never happen. Even though they are so similar, Svea’s coolness was too much for them to have a positive relationship.* *written by @.daily-donuts
↪ Moses Park Jr. | @.koby House: Slytherin FC: Kim Woo Bin Info: They've been friends since first year, as Svea does not care about blood purity and bonded over their shared love for the muggle sport of football (but Arsenal is better than West Ham)! She's also one his tutors.
↪ oc name | @ oc owner House: FC: Info:
--Hufflepuff--
↪ Syn Lothbrok | @ghostpastey House: Hufflepuff FC: Zippora Seven Info: SlytherPuff BFFs aka the Scandi's/Scandinavians, they're childhood friends, both being from wealthy influential families in Scandinavia, and they're a solid salty/aggressive duo at Hogwarts, with a penchant for snarky lines and exploding potions *cough* Syn totally makes them explode no matter how closely the instructions were followed *cough*.
↪ Isabel Sanchez | @.polystar10 House: Hufflepuff FC: Ana De armas Info: Sort of friends, they initially interact through Svea's bestie (Damien) messing around and manipulating poor Isabel, Svea never really interfering unless it goes way too far, and even then, it's really only take down a few notches. Their interactions increase due to Isabel's close relationship with Svea's boyfriend (urg, what a lame word, paramour, through her paramour), and end up hanging out more.
↪ Lyrae Mino | @.skyfalll House: Hufflepuff FC: Taissa Farmiga Info: Share a friendly rivalry, but get along well, and have a mutual love of the stars (astronomy).
↪ oc name | @ oc owner House: FC: Info:
--Gryffindor--
↪ Henry Clark | @.lady-stoneheart House: Gryffindor FC: Ben Barnes Info: SlytherDor power couple, began dating in their 6th year, bonding over their shared love of muggle sports team; Arsenal FC. Generally speaking, they've always got along, Svea has always been against the stupidity of blood purity, which many of her Housemates buy into, and which Henry abhors, however, she has bully friends, and is somewhat complicit in their behaviour since she doesn't really step in unless it's the aforementioned friend is being stupid (aka going "mudblood"), or is going too far, so they have been on opposite sides of (metaphorical) battles numerous times. They're also extremely competitive with each other, mostly arising from their Quidditch teams (the ones they play on and support), as well as Svea's general refusal to ever lose. ---> side character plotting: Xander Carlyle ------{FC: Jacob Tremblay, House: Gryffindor} ------share a sibling like relationship, having bonded closely over the holidays, with Xander immediately running to Svea for help with homework and all other problems, inciting a small amount of sibling-like jealousy in Henry (Henry, at some point: he's my sort of brother, get your own).
↪ Isadora Franks | @.agentdanascully House: Gryffindor FC: Lily James Info: Share a friendly rivalry, initially instigated by Isadora. Generally politely competitive, though they've had nicer moments, mainly due to mutual hatred for blood elitists, though Svea unintentionally makes Isadora feel insecure around her, plus stubborness gets in the way of a deeper friendship.
↪ oc name | @ oc owner House: FC: Info:
--Ravenclaw--
↪ Kenton Prewett | @.miky94 House: Ravenclaw FC: Dylan Sprayberry Info: They are acquaintances that run into each other during events and on campus, but nothing more.

5 of Cups ~ Wildwood Tarot.

5 of Vessels ~ Ecstasy ~ Wildwood Tarot.
As is obvious from the image we see to the left, she’s dancing within a pentangle that is drawn on the earth. She holds a thyrsus in one hand (a staff covered in ivy vine and leaves) and a leather-headed rattle in the other. Clearly, she intends on making a little noise. She can hear the beat of the universal drum on a night as clear as the one she encounters. Whilst I cannot see as many stars, I can certainly enjoy the clear still night right along side her.
Her energy is renewed by her bathing in the cosmic life-force exultant and clear energy. As cold as it is outside, I can feel her energy and I smile. Usually, I find her facial expression enforced but tonight, I feel she is concentrating on conjuring something, on the energy she is releasing and manifesting and that is why her face is one of concentration.
What ways can you find to commune with nature on an emotional level? How many nights do we have where we have a full Moon that is clearly flanked by Jupiter? This lady is fusing herself with whatever spiritual being(s) she’s called upon for the time she is spending in the pentangle. Do you think that she’s enjoying herself so much, she’s in a trance?
What will you do today that will make you happy, that you can throw yourself very much into and just lose yourself for a while? It’s not been so long since I did that, but I did it hanging wall-paper last week and I enter this kind of state with each Tarot reading. Might do some more tomorrow!

5 of Vessels ~ Ecstasy ~ Wildwood Tarot.
Under a star-filled sky, a young shaman dances ecstatically in the centre of her pentagram. On each of the five arms sits a vessel and they glow like candles.
We have moved from the stalled and complacent energy of the Four to the energised and ecstatic spiritual oneness with the divine spark.
There are many ways to achieve the trance-like state of ecstasy – from the frenetic exertions of dance and drumming to the quiet contemplation of deep meditation, music and art.
The 5 of Vessels asks us to seek and surrender to the cosmic life force, thus renewing ourselves for our journey onwards.
* When do you feel at one with the universe?
* How do you reach this ecstatic state?

I HAVE WATCHED THEM ALL!
And ranked them all, from favorite to least! (Three guesses as to what’s #1, given what 97% of the content on this blog is concerned with.)
1. Revelation Lugia: At no point was there any competition for the top slot. Crisp art direction, an appropriately epic scale to the design and the staging of action, a gorgeous musical score (the dub surpassed the original on this point IMO), the best editing and pacing out of any of these movies, and a well-constructed plot that’s simple without being simplistic all speak well for it. But the real selling point for this film is the character work. The CotDs are engaging and play a vital role in the plot without overtaking it. This is the TRio’s finest hour to date IMO. Tracey may be along for the ride (as he often was in the show), but Misty enjoys the best role a travelling companion has gotten to date, and Ash is saddled with his greatest challenge ever (to my knowledge, anyway; I’ve got a hell of a lot of episodes to go in catching up on the series, but it’s hard to top “save the world by yourself because Prophecy.”) And this and the next entry on this list are the only two films where I felt that Ash (and Misty, in this case), more than just experiencing another adventure, actually grew as characters. Not that Johto or the later series built on that growth, but in this show, I’ll take what I can get.
...And, yeah, the pokeshipping doesn’t hurt its rating either.
2. Lucario and the Mystery of Mew: Again, it’s all about the character work here. This is the only other time that Ash seemed to grow, through his relationship with Lucario and his discovery of his Aura (and, in a way, it’s more of a shame that the show never built on this than it is that they never built on Ash and Misty’s growth after Lugia, when you consider that the staff wrote themselves a golden opportunity to do so in DP!) His “this time, it’s personal” goal of saving Pikachu and the parallels between himself and Sir Aaron also serve to enrich his role in a way most of the other pokefilms don’t even attempt. Lucario is the most compelling and dimensional of the movie-featured Pokemon since Mewtwo. Mew is absolutely adorable. The art direction is beautiful, and it’s scope and ambition are appropriate for the high fantasy subject matter. It loses points for some awkward pacing in the front half (the dance is so slow!) and a ridiculous lack of pathos shown when the whole human cast (temporarily) dies, but it makes up a lot of those points with its gutsy ending. No contrived out for the heroic sacrifice this time!
3. Spell of the Unown: So glad I decided to give this film a re-watch. Having an innocent and traumatized little girl, or her feelings of loss and loneliness to be more specific, be the antagonist, is an amazing move by the staff, and it works so well. The threat that those feelings pose to Ash and friends when given immense power is very tangible, though the full impact of that threat takes a while to become apparent. Giving Ash a personal stake in the adventure is very welcome, both travelling companions get decent roles, Charizard’s return is spectacular, and there is some delightfully off-beat and experimental work done in the production design. With the possible exception of Mewtwo Strikes Back, this film has the most ambition and daring of any of them. An uneven pace at the start and a questionable final fight can’t take away the fact that this movie is just cool.
4. Pokemon 4Ever: Possibly the most impressive art direction out of any of the movies; the forest feels huge, and old, and real, just in one look. The Miyazaki-esque look is appropriate for the “destruction of nature” plot, the consequences of which are plainly felt. The time travel aspect is intriguing and not confusing, and Sam is the real hero of the human cast. It tries to give the TRio a real reason to be in the movie, though it’s less successful on that front than Lugia. Drawbacks include a lag in the pace toward the middle, a contrived resurrection, a waste of the travelling companions even by pokefilm standards, and the sidelining of Ash himself.
5. Hoopa and the Clash of Ages: The most threadbare plot out of any of these movies, no real role for the companions or even Ash, and some of the dullest CotDs out there can’t change the fact this is just such a fun movie. Every ten-year old’s dream of an epic inter-gen smash-fest gets thrown on-screen, and even if it doesn’t crank things up to 11, it’s still extremely entertaining. Easily the best thing about XY/Z that I’ve seen so far.
6. Jirachi Wish Maker: An extremely choppy pace and story elements that don’t belong are a serious handicap. But this film not only gives a traveling companion an arc, but makes Max’s friendship with Jirachi the main focus. The damage done to that arc by the plot’s flaws doesn’t erase its charms. And Ash, put into a supporting role, excels in the part, much moreso than in many of these movies where he stays on the sidelines for much of the running time before abruptly becoming the hero.
7. White: Victini and Zekrom/Black: Victini and Rashiram: The “villain’s” actions are poorly motivated and the CotDs are forgettable. But Victini is just so damn cute, and its bond with Ash is so endearing. Those two things elevate the film, and give Ash one of his more dramatically satisfying stints as a glorified plot device. The gimmick of these films, however, feels like a waste.
8. Mewtwo Strikes Back: Compared to my childhood memories of it, this is a very uneven film. The travelling companions have nothing to do, the CotDs are forgettable, the TRio set the “why are we even here” trend up early, the film loses a lot of juice once the battle of clones vs. originals starts (mostly due to sluggish pacing on the fight), and the means of Ash’s revival is infuriatingly dumb. But for the first (and, as far as they knew at the time, only) movie of a kids’ cartoon meant to sell video games, it’s shocking to me how dark they went with this film. Mewtwo is a wonderfully grey character, and his origins and struggles render the first half of the film one of the best sequences in the whole franchise. The idea of prejudice and fighting for superiority as a basis for the conflict is solid in theory if a bit heavy-handed in execution. If Ash and friends (mostly friends) don’t get a lot to do once they reach the island, their journey to it is a fun adventure. And there’s a delightfully twisted horror film look to the production design. For a first outing, this was a very risky film, and even if doesn’t fully work, I think it’s a more impressive effort than most of the pokefilms because of that.
9. Rise of Darkrai: On a technical level, Darkrai has a more even script, and a more consistently solid execution of that script IMO, than Mewtwo. It’s the best of the Sinnoh trilogy by a wide margin. The CotDs (well, Alberto at least) are fun and Darkrai is an effective featured Pokemon. But the problems of the Sinnoh trilogy, while not as pronounced here, are still at hand: a light tone that leaves the Legendaries feeling less impressive than their predecessors, a rather episodic layout to the plot that kills a sense of scale, sluggish pacing and a sense of padding, no real role for the travelling companions, and Ash being a glorified deus ex machina.
10. Kyurem vs. the Sword of Justice: Technical proficiency, a cinematic scale, decent dub work, and excellent use of the travelling companions argue in favor of this one being higher on the list. Arguments against that include this film featuring some of the more poorly-designed Pokemon around, a severe lack of tension and stakes in the plot, and a disappointing role for Ash. Ultimately, it just didn’t grip me the way the films immediately above it did.
11. Arceus and the Jewel of Life: Out of all the Sinnoh trilogy, this one felt the least padded, and helped clear up some of the murky plot mess of the earlier entries. The CotDs are serviceable if a little on the dull side. And this final chapter of the trilogy does aim the highest in its scope and scale, even if it doesn’t reach its goals. But Arceus’s terrible voice in the dub, and his rush to apocalyptic judgement, really hurt the character. And the main cast is worse off here than in the other entries, as Dawn ends up as sidelined as Brock in the finale.
12. Giratina and the Sky Warrior: You can give the film this - Shaymin is a well-developed character. She’s a little shit, but she’s a fleshed-out little shit. And Giratina was the most impressively presented of the Sinnoh Legendaries. But the human villain here is very dull, and Shaymin’s obnoxiousness makes it damn near impossible to get invested in her conflict or to buy her eventual friendship with Ash. On the plus side, wonderful art direction and animation.
13. Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea: This film gets off to a strong start and gives us one of the best CotDs, but it’s overlong, stalls in the middle, and its focus on the main plot comes at the expense of May’s arc with Manaphy. It also has the most maddening plot resolution out of any of them (that’s right - it’s even worse than the magic tears from Mewtwo.)
14. I Choose You!: It earns points for shaking up the routine, giving Ash an arc, and doing a superb job at retelling his first meeting with Pikachu, but its meandering middle, superfluous story turns, and some forced character work bog it down. You can give it this - it was a better anniversary show than “Mastermind of the Mirage Pokemon.”
15. Pokemon Heroes: Possibly the most frustrating of these movies to date for me, because there were a lot of elements - the setting, the mythological background, the Dragon-types - that I really liked. It’s easily one of the most beautiful of the movies, and there was a lot of potential in the plot. But most of that potential was untapped, the elements never gelled, and I was often bored watching it. When I wasn’t bored, I was frustrated and questioning - see my “review” for the whole list. And this may be the worst film on the matter of sidelining the travelling companions.
16. Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction: The charms of the titular character and some brief impressive work with the travelling companions can’t make up for an overstuffed, meandering plot full of easy fixes and an abrupt shift in focus during the last third.
17. Zoroark - Master of Illusions: Very similar situation to Diancie - a wonderful story between the titular Pokemon and Zorua can’t overcome a crowded plot that’s saddled with a weak, scene-hogging villain and terrible pacing.
18. Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel: My biggest problem with this one is that there just wasn’t much about it that was unique. Its many flaws are the same ones that plague at least half these flicks. Its good points are the same sort of good points as in the other movies. Its art direction is pleasant but nothing that wasn’t tried before. It’s just...dull.
19. Genesect and the Legend Awakened: These last two are the only ones I wouldn’t hesitate to say were bad. A fundamental weakness in the plot caused by making the titular Pokemon so unsympathetic, the poor handling of Mewtwo’s return, an unremarkable set of roles for the main cast, uneven animation, and a general feeling of laziness all conspire against a decent premise.
20. Destiny Deoxys - Awkward alien subject matter, lack of a clear emotional core, and the worst padding out of any of these flicks all leave it dead on arrival IMO.

WE'RE ADULTS. WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN? AND HOW DO WE MAKE IT STOP?

【𝕀ℕ𝕊ℙ𝕆 ℂℝ𝔼𝔻】 MY goddess @.jess-h, specifically this mindblowing set {urstyle.fashion/styles/3094617}
I like and hate this set, cause it definitely didn't end up like what I originally thought it would, but I do like how it out came out. Mostly. Stupid laptop crashed while I was finishing the playlist and then everything shifted on reload and there's too many things for me to fix it all. 😒 The set started as like a Genshin hyperfixation (I definitely ship chilumi, I have a weak spot for shady "good but bad" guys who will drop out of the sky to save me, but kaeya is number one), and then morphed into a concept set for Domain of the Gods, but that wasn't working, and then it just ended up as an early birthday present to me. Lmao. What a mess, but on brand for me.
Tada, it's a playlist for Clara Month! Jk, not really my month, but it is my birthday month and the in-joke in my fam is that everyday is my birthday until my actual birthday, and even then I'll push it to the end of November to get away with whatever.
Finished this year's playlist earlier and also made it longer 'cause November is birthday month in my fam (but yes, it's mine because I am still the baby even though I'm about to turn 26, lol), and we're holding a joint party for my dad and little cousin this weekend, really just for my dad, but my uncle and aunt are saying it's for my cousin too to make my dad agree to it (everyone is vaxxed and we're still being covid-restriction compliant with Toronto gathering guidelines, as if my dad or me would allow the party to happen otherwise, please). I tried to keep it clean cause there'll be kids, but it's my month so suck it you dorks.

Late Nights (cotd.)
Previous
Law, from his spot under the foremast, watched life proceed on Thousand Sunny, now that he’d found a moment of quiet after convincing the three youngest members of the crew that he didn’t want to wrestle or to fish or to play whatever game that popped into Luffy’s head at any given moment.
Nami was tending to her trees, Zoro was taking care of his swords, Sanji was busy in the kitchen, Brook was playing on his violin out of Law’s line of sight, Franky had announced that he would be in his workshop, and Momonosuke, under Kin’emon’s stern gaze, was trying his best not to appear interested in Luffy, Chopper, and Usopp’s roughhousing.
It slowly dawned on him that he was looking for Robin when he did not find her keeping herself occupied along with the rest of the crew.
Law gripped his sword, standing up and walking aimlessly along Sunny’s lawn, giving himself something to do. He came to a stop before the railing, closing his eyes and turning his face up towards the sky, feeling the sun’s warmth on his skin. Law could have felt content in that moment had he been able to focus on the warmth of the sun and the sound of the wind, but his thoughts began to drift, as they did when he didn’t have enough to distract himself in the last couple of days. Standing there, Law thought he heard a malevolent chuckle in his ear. Law’s eyes slowly opened, staring up at the endless blue of the sky before he leveled his chin and stared out at the endless blue of the ocean, trying to shake off the feeling that someone was standing behind him.
He was so tired. He wanted to crawl into a dark corner and sleep until they finally reached their destination.
Law looked down at his hands, sighing, and he jumped when he saw a pair of blue eyes staring up at him from the rail. “Robin?” he said, staring down at the eyes situated between his hands.
The eyes smiled playfully at him and winked before disappearing. Before Law could think to do anything next, a set of arms sprouted from his shoulders and a pair of hands covered his eyes, like a game of “Guess who,” but there was no one behind him to whisper it in his ear.
Grumbling, Law grabbed the arms by the wrists, pulling the hands off his eyes, feeling them disappear as soon as he was able to see again. Law looked around wildly, scanning the ship until he found Robin watching him from the swing on the other side of the lawn. He approached her, seeing how her eyes gleamed mischievously as he drew nearer.
“Want me to push you?” he asked, smirking, when he came to a stop before her. He was glad for the distraction, though she didn’t need to know that. “Is that why you’re trying so hard to get my attention?”
Robin smiled up at him. “You looked like you could use the company, actually.”
“Maybe,” Law said, circling around Robin until he stood behind her. He gave her a light push, eliciting a delighted laugh from her. He didn’t know how Robin could read him as well as she did, but he wasn’t going to try to lie to her.
Law continued to push her on the swing, taken back to the times when he was a child, when one of his parents would take him and Lammy to the park near their home. Lammy always wanted to be pushed on the swing, urging him to push her higher, faster. And Law would try, but he could never get her quite as high as Father or Mother could. It had been so long ago that it might as well be another lifetime.
Law watched Robin, watched the way her hair flew behind her, the way her legs pumped as the swing moved. She tilted her head back to look at him, and she smiled. And Law, in spite of himself, smiled back. He liked seeing her smile, liked that he was the cause of it.
Strange.
“Hey, Luffy!” Chopper’s voice. Law looked over at the little doctor. “Law and Robin are playing on the swing!”
“OIIII! I WANT A TURN, TOO, LAW!”
Law came to a stop, stiffening as he saw Chopper and Luffy running towards them, his smile disappearing into a flat line. Robin jumped off the swing as it began to slow down. “Actually, Luffy,” she said, smoothing down her skirt, “I was going to show Law the library.”
“‘Kay!” Luffy said. Robin looked at Law over her shoulder and beckoned him to follow her, while Luffy and and Chopper argued over who got to use the swing first.
Robin showed Law the way to the library, something that had been neglected in his brief tour of the ship. He realized that bringing him up here was Robin’s gracious excuse to get him away from the others, but looking up at the shelves of books, Law was glad that Robin had picked this room. He realized that he could very well spend his time up here while he waited for them to arrive at Dressrosa. He walked closer to the nearest shelf, scanning the titles and running his fingers along the spines. It wasn’t his private collection and this wasn’t his personal library, but it would do.
Law heard Robin delicately clear her throat behind him. He turned to look at her and found her sitting on the table in the center of the room, her thighs parted invitingly. The corners of Law’s mouth turned upwards. “Oh,” he said, walking towards her. “That’s what you wanted to show me.”
