Pool Thoughts While Sweating Through Another Summer

Every August I have the same fantasy: stepping into cool water without driving to the Northshore. But between HOA rules and horror stories about cracked liners, I assumed pools were a rich-people thing.

CMC's pool construction page surprised me—apparently darker finishes help retain heat (extending swim season) and fiberglass shells handle our soil better than I thought. Also never considered:

That cute "tanning ledge" depth for kids

💭 Verdict: Still terrified of maintenance costs, but now bookmarking "cocktail pool" designs under 400 sq ft.
