something that I find fascinating in bridge to the turnabout is when edgeworth says that while he was caught up in the middle of the dl-6 investigation, he had actually met misty fey himself.

I’m sure this was before the channeling began. whether or not he was actually in the room when it happened is up for debate. but because edgeworth never alludes to a reunion with his father, I think it’s safe to say that the police barred him from interacting with his spirit. maybe he was forced out of the room. or maybe he just sat there, crying to himself believing his father was right there and he couldn’t speak to him.

what’s interesting is that edgeworth vehemently dismisses the kurain channeling technique and sees all spirit mediums as frauds (even when mia is channeled in court and clearly visible). so, it’s possible that this anger stems from something a lot more personal than “it’s scientifically impossible.” I think he staunchly refuses to believe in the fey clan’s legitimacy because accepting it means that he could’ve seen his father again, but wasn’t allowed to. so he’d rather think that there is absolutely no way to bring back the dead, ever. it’s a way to protect himself—the police were wrong, so he didn’t actually miss his chance to speak to his dad.

I don’t know, there’s a lot more to edgeworth seeing misty as a fraud than just this, and maybe I’m totally wrong. but it’s a possibility that I thought of.

Overambition

Ok I kinda need to confess something that might dissapoint a few people

I dont think I want to finish the werewolf fanfic or Lemon Sorbet in its current state, I gave fic writing a try and I dont think I enjoy it as much as I keep pretending, its like im forcing myself to complete an assignment on top of stuff I already have to do.

I struggle allot with overambition without any motivation to finish things, especially when its something im not enjoying in the first place. I struggle to draw short comics but at least I enjoy drawing, I set myself out to write Lemon Sorbet because I felt I needed to explain my oc Popsicle and her relationship with Edge when Im more mentally cut out to just info dump about them. same with the werewolf fic, I think im just going to leave it as an open AU rather than an actual written fic.

I am here to post art whenever I feel like it, I shouldnt have to feel like I'm owe-ing an audience something like I ended up when I dragged myself into fic writing. I have lots of real world stuff to do and I like treating art-posting as a little outlet whenever I feel comfortable.

Yap session over, im going to go quiet for a while to get essays done and play Ark.

A loud sound wakes Sky in her tavern room. A tremendously heavy arm-sized metal box broke through the closed window and is constantly letting out a hoarse and loud screaming. People from the other rooms begin complaining through the walls and the door shortly, but the streets outside appear hauntingly empty. The box does not stop even for a moment.

The woman had been well and truely in the land of slumber when the sound of clatterning caused her to stir, blearily looking to the room swathed in darkness. At first she could barely make out anything was wrong...but the pendant's faint glow from her neck allowed her to see something...new?

A box?

Hold on... WHY WAS IT SCREAMING?!

The woman jolted up right, a quick snap of her fingers and her blade rushed through the air to her hand, the glowing crystal offering additional light to the situation. Her eyes were wide as she observed the foreign object, pointing the blade toward it while electricty crackled along its surface.

In truth, she should have booked it to the door, but considering she had no clue what it was, she chose to observe it first, trying to glean what it could be so she could deal with it effectively.

Whether this would be a mistake was yet to be seen.
