I'm gonna try to focus on reblogging and making new posts going forward, and make this the last life update post for a while, since that's all my blog has become for like. A year.

I don't even know if anyone will read this since I've vanished and possiblyaccidentally burned so many bridges by doing so but hhhhhhhhhhh here we are

Sooooooo... Guess who lost their job?

Good news, at least, is that my Bachelor's Degree in Theatrical Design Tech isn't going to waste anymore, because my buddy works at a dinner theatre and found out they needed more backstage techies - WHICH I AM - so now I'm about to start a new, less soul-sucking job this week. Long hours, but my GODS I'm excited in a way I haven't felt in forever.

Oblivion Remastered is out and my soul couldn't be fucking happier - that game means so, so incredibly much to me, and getting to revisit Cyrodiil has actually brought back some writing inspiration that I haven't had in... way too long.

So yeah.

Currently warming up with some Martin/HoK and Lucien/Silencer stuff right now, so stayb tuned for some Oblivion stuff here soon, including a couple of introductions to my Hero of Kvatch and Dark Brotherhood Silencer ocs: Azralath and Nephathyle, respectively.

Your luciano hcs are so based...I like how you didn't erase his connection to the mafia and the darker parts of his character, which all make him feel more authentic. I've been in this fandom since 2015 and I've always liked him as a rather shady and "boss" type of character.

Also, it is very balanced and realistic that you mentioned how tired he is and messed up his sleeping schedule is. He's always been an insomniac and a control freak workaholic in my mind. He may be a powerful nation personification, but even he has his limits, and he refuses to acknowledge that.

Yeah I resonated with that description of him too back in the day. I've tweaked it obviously so he's a little bit more unhinged without the 'blood pasta' thing, I felt it fit. It's all justified why he'd be so angry all the time, why he'd be pissed off with his family, why he needs control of everything.

He is so far gone that even a reality check of cold ice water may not even work when it comes to wanting something he can't have. And I couldn't be happier about it.

i was just thinking that i don't really write so i'd have to post my WIP Zena drawing (that i was working on for the @/just-some-guy-joust oc tournament!!) BUT then i remembered that. i do. it's just usually informal and in my dms. so here, have a moment of corny raw dialogue:

"...I have never been happier in my life, and I... plan on staying by your side for as long as my lifespan allows for it."

(it's not technically romantic but it IS very intensely queerplatonically charged. a strange "secret third thing relationship" type of confession scene. the devotion and commitment is there for sure)

this line is maybe the most embarrassing to share without the context though since it's the corny finale to a long winded confession that basically starts with "actually, you've had my unwavering loyalty ever since you helped me cover up my impulsive murder of your father, and the strength of that devotion to you has only grown from there". like it looks so generic but i promise it's just the nice little bow on top of a more interesting conversation.

i have very few mutuals actually but I'll tag @lightbucky and @glitterkeecher ! and open invitation to anyone else as always!! Im telling you guys about my theory on evadare and what the void is(threat/j)

for context(according to what i heard from people who are in rems server): the events of evadare and xrun are REAL events that actually happened to Rafe. this is confirmed

The Void is a VERY big mystery, y'know? like, vaguely gestures. the two main things ive seen are: Is Whats Going On In It Real and Whats Happening.

Heres my thoughts on what it is, and i even have Evidence!!!

I think the void is a weird pocket dimension, in that bermuda triangle-esc thing we see the ship shipwreck into, that projects the viewers traumas and fears into reality as a form of Nightmare, and the way to beat it/get out is to "beat your nightmare". weird right?

Now onto why i think the void projects peoples traumas and fears and to why i think its Not Real!! in that order

Do you see those warning triangles that say "OXYGEN LOW"? those are the same warning triangles we see in the Galaxy Bonuses on Rafes space suit

and have you noticed the Void gasmasks name? its 072021. 07/2021. July 2021. its a date, and if you look at all of rems youtube posts during that time, you can see that they all relate to Galaxy:

Nearly suffocating to death in space, only being saved by either his friend sacrificing himself or Aries stepping in, Must have been traumatic for Rafe. and seeing him die(again depending on what you believe) would be terrifying!!

this friend, seen in both the 2nd galaxy bonus and evadares 3rd bonus. Rafe has to see nightmare crush his friend. the next screenshot is from voids 1st bonus, right before it happens

His friend dying is either a severe Trauma to Rafe or a severe Fear. either way, the void takes advantage of it. Now onto whats actually a fear.

Capitan(and his crew by proxy) is one of the only allies Rafe has in this entire journey, and you can see this in his sound in the mod too!! him Telling Rafe that he should stay and he will be kept safe.

it makes sense that seeing him die would be a major fear of Rafe.

And now that we went into what the Void Does, lets go into if its real or not. as i said i don't think it is, and the secret is in the sprites/voids bonus!!

Look at the sprite between Nightmare and Jacko.

They're similar, but Noticeably different!! nightmares eyes and mouth are different, and the shapes his sprite is comprised of are bumpy and rough, compared to Jackos face and smooth/clean sprite-work.

and another: notice the differences between gasmask and 072021(along with 072021 being a incarnation of Rafes trauma from galaxy)

different outfits. but thats not really one im paying attention to tho, despite it being worth noting.

what i want to talk about is their Animations!! gasmasks only animation is his head moving up and down to the rhythm of his sound, and his mask lenses fogging up as he exhales. while 072021's animation has the cheeks of his mask puff up and sink in as he inhales and exhales!! very noticeable difference. especially considering the point i made before

now onto the most notable point:

Rafes cuts on his face are completely missing.

we can clearly see in Voids 1st bonus that he has the cuts on his face he gained in Xrun:

but later, in the same bonus, As SOON as he enters the void and we can see his face, they are GONE COMPLETELY:

you may say its a mistake and rem forgot, but she included the blood spatter on rafes face he got from Capitan dying at Nightmares hands, his cuts stayed the entire time in xruns bonuses and the beginning of Voids, so they are an important detail in his design!!

The blood spatter is even in his sprite!! theres no way rem would include the BLOOD FROM CAPITAN DYING and THE SLIT IN HIS EYEBROW and not include the cuts on his face

I really like the creaking. I love that minecraft is getting creepier and creepier and adding more unique mobs, but I do wish the creaking had a drop or something that made it worthwhile to go after. I like the new biome but it feels a little boring to me? Like the trees are cool but it would be cooler I feel to have them be a different shape, maybe more crooked with less leaves, just to make it feel even more different than the regular forest, becayse to be it just feels like a less saturated dark oak or oak biome. I feel like it also needs some sort of structure there, something that would be rare to find, like the creaking's nest or something like a tangle of logs or a blair witch type of thing lol. All in all it looks cool but I feel could be a bit more fleshed out.

And with the ambient sounds unique to the new biome, i WISH WISH WISH mojang would add more ambience to the game in general. Water dripping occasionally while in caves, wave sounds while at the water, bird song in forests, etc. I know there are add one for this but it would just make the game so much more immersive imo.

With that being said I look forward to the more frequent smaller updates and I'd really love to see more biomes and block palettes in the future. Not really a point to this rant just sharing thoughts. Everyone add what they think of the pale garden in the notes (or what you want to be added).

What I’m getting from all this and what’s really pissing me off is that dream is making claims and not backing it up. He claims that Tommy supported the usmp and was stirring the pot but doesn’t show screenshots. Claims that tubbo and aimsey had talks with him accusing of banning and again no screenshots supporting his side of the story. He’s not against showing private messages clearly with what he’s shown already and being very selective with what he shows and acting like he has soooo much evidence is REALLY FUCKING ANNOYING. SHUT UP.

What was Geo and Cole's first kiss like, you know, how they felt and what was the fulfillment for both of them after the kiss?

Since I'm making their first kiss when they find out about Cole's rock form, I'll be using that.

Geo kissed Cole in order to tell him about his feelings, unable to put his feelings to words. Being alone for so long and experiencing new feelings for the first time made it more difficult for him to word it in order for Cole to understand, so a physical action would work better, right? But he wanted it to be private, so he took Earth with him out into the land in order to avoid Bonzle and the boys, who stayed at the Rookery.

Cole hadn't fully expected a kiss when he had joined Geo out. Yeah, he was aware of the tension between them, something that made his heart pound with anticipation. Geo HAD tried to word what he was thinking, holding his hand as he did. Cole didn't really know what he was trying to say, as he was rambling, and Earth had zoned out while admiring him. When the kiss happened, he was caught completely off guard, and everything felt like it just... stopped. He felt something in the hand that held Geo's, and then excitement ran through his veins. He felt a surge beneath his feet, something he hadn't felt in so long yet was stronger. Then it was like the earth itself had deemed him a protector again, giving him a new armor to use to keep Geo and the Finders safe. The kiss gets a little sidelined because of his excitement and happiness, and him thanking Geo.

Unfortunately, Geo feels a little disappointed by the whole thing. He's happy for Cole. He really is! But the moment he used to tell Cole about his feelings is overshadowed by something more important, and that really puts a damper on the mood for him. For once, he tries to be selfish, have something for himself, and it feels as if it's been taken away. Then Cole's thanking him for something he hadn't even done, and it makes the moment feel like a burden. The kiss had felt nice, regardless of his inexperience, and he had been overwhelmed with the feeling of doing something that felt so right. But the next moment after just... isn't it. At least Cole is happy, and the rock form looks cool, he guesses.

Thankfully, they have a lot more kisses after that are much more meaningful to Geo, and more passion in their relationship is shared by Cole. Just a bit of angst for their first kiss, lol I hope this made some sense; I'm a little tired while writing this. But thank you for the question! :]

About ten years ago I was living in a completely different state, just off a highway, with no greenery and no break from the relentless sun-baked asphalt of an town with nothing to offer except consumerism. I was utterly miserable and slowly heading for rock bottom when I came back up to my home state for a friend's engagement party at one of the state parks, and I drove through a tree tunnel lined with the colors of autumn and October's long shadows.

I felt my lips part and whisper to my own ears, "oh. My soul is starving."

We moved back up home to a greener, less lonely place a year later, running from the eternally dirty, yellowed, sun-bleached highway town as fast as we possibly could.

Just last month, I was nearing my second year at a sales floor job, working too many hours for too little compensation and absolutely zero thanks. I hated waking up to my alarm, telling me it was time for another ten-hour shift at a place that blamed me for every cent not made, and customers that would come in simply to waste my time or phone-call-fires from other stores that needed to be put out.

An unstable man - clearly on drugs - came in once while I was by myself, trapping me behind the desk while he scratched the skin off his ankle and tried to take my phone, talking into the wall because, "they knew he was there and they were hiding from him."

The district manager told me I had to stay, and to "lock one of the doors if I felt unsafe". He never once asked me if I was okay, even after my spouse called the police for me when I couldn't find a way to safely do it myself.

They fired me a couple weeks after.

But...

Now...

There's something like coming home - something only found in the back of a theatre, a 'temporary' job at the place my dear friend works that needed extra help during their current musical. A college degree no longer sitting and rotting on the wall above my desk.

The smell of the costume shop. The creak of the wooden stage beneath my feet in the dark as we scramble from stage left to stage right with props in our hands. The sound of crackling voices in my ear, saying, "five to places" - "thank you, five". The hush in the green room as the actors take a breather between acts, sip their water, and thank their techies for making their lives easier.

One of them, in passing, as we leave to take our spots in the catwalk, high above the crowd, sweaty hands gripping the handles of the spotlights tight, calls to me - he doesn't even yet know my name, I'm so new while the other crew are so familiar to them.

"You light up my night!" he jokes.

Another, half in costume, doughnut in hand, tells me I'm doing great. He shows me the pokemon pins on his bag, asks me what my favorite typing is, gets excited when his and mine are the same.

The lead actress lets me pet her dog and 'awwwww!'s at the cute story I tell her of the little girl in the aisle off stage left waiting to meet the character she plays.

The lead techie has the same haircut I do. We talk in the parking lot for an hour after opening night. They went to the same college, recognize my major, tell me their work stories and ask for mine. They wait for me in their truck to make sure I get out of the parking lot safely after the lightboard operator sticks her head out the door and tells us to go home and rest before tomorrow's fourteen hour shift.

They add me to a group chat the next day, with themselves, the lightboard lady, and the other spotlight operator.

I go back to my apartment after midnight, clocked in at 10:30am and out at 12:15am, and - for the first time in years - I don't feel tired.

My soul was starving. But now I'm home.

unfortunately they are my original characters (or more specifically, the character submitting the ask is mine, while the young man he works for belongs to @glitterkeecher ), so there isn't really a cohesive storyline available for them publicly yet

fortunately though, I am practicing writing more seriously so that I can actually start posting about them on my blog @spark-ocblog , and eventually I would really like to publish a book with them!

If there's genuine interest in this kind of thing, the particular storyline in that submission was one of the first that I was planning to write down formally for practice, so I could definitely consider posting it when I do!

The base storyline is that the author of the ask, an infamous murderer who is actually a vampire and assassin, mutually agrees to switch places/bodies with a parallel universe self who is human nobility. After acclimating rather poorly to high society, he eventually draws the curiosity of a prince who can tell he is acting strange for a noble. This interest is passive as first, but eventually culminates in the submitter seeing the king alluding to his abuse of the prince, with the prince silently hoping that the submitter might notice and help him in the future— the submitter ends up killing the king on the spot. The prince, shocked, helps him cover up the murder, then hires him as an advisor to really tie up any loose ends.

On my oc blog, the prince, Aine, is tagged with "#oc: 🩵", and the submitter, Orion, is tagged with "#oc: 🖤"!

EDIT: some media I could recommend with perhaps similar dynamics (though significantly less wholesome. sorry) are I Need To Suck Blood Tonight (which I read, paid, on Mangaplaza), Scum Villain's Self Saving System (which I have just finished volume 3 of, free, on The Internet Archive— this is the one that inspired my ask, actually!), and maybe The Captive Prince (which i read as physical novels from my local bookstore). Very severe content warnings are needed for that last one especially, but fair warning that SVSSS isn't particularly gentle on the themes either. I don't think I'm personally well equipped to provide these warnings in a general sense, so I mostly recommend just proceeding with caution or looking up things about them if you intend to read them!

In particular, INTSBT features a kind of repressed and naive old man who is somewhat subservient to a kind of fucked up guy in his 20s; SVSSS's similarity to the submission is hard to describe without spoilers, but it features a transmigrator who has some really interesting and dramatic power dynamics that end up balancing themselves out pretty well (in my opinion). Captive Prince doesn't have any sweet naive old men in it, but it does have some really interesting, if occasionally gruesome, character dynamics. And the writing is absolutely stellar if you can stomach the themes.
