Was pondering how Mark’s rigid ass mask/lens is prob a Budget Thing (since squishy, bendy lens are pretty much a mandate for all hero animated series, like JL, BTAS, TNBA, Spider-Man, etc), and then I was slapped with a vision of Mark in a more JL/BTAS-ish style and I had to see it through. I am a genius btw.

#i had MANY thoughts while drawing my brain melted while posting so if ya have questions send 'em / ask 'em #but rapid fire: leans more into nightwing's look b/c bro's name is legit grayson + moves away from his father's sidekick/protege +#and legit has a blue and black outfit. that is soooo winking at robin (dick grayson specifically)#mark has a more casual / athletic fit and tried to keep his usual kicked puppy expression / mood #which then contrasts his more emotional (hero) side he acts upon when he's suited up as ANOTHER wink to the whole dual persona #mark does it unintentionally as he's eager to prove himself as invincible and thus more emotional/confidential/eager + feels lackluster #as just mark grayson.#but it's such a comic book trope it's interesting el show ignores the potential stakes for that + prob cause they dont focus on #villains #mark has debbie's cheek bones + pearls both so he skip the whole copy paste design tactic cartoons annoyingly use + wink at batman w/ pearl #nolan wears pink and debbie wears green b/c they have conflicting views on raising Mark but (used to?) stand on a somewhat #united front by having same collared shirt. but mark leans more on debbie's stuff visually w/ cooler colors + white shirt underneath #mark keeps his cape as another wink/nod at robins (tim drake TNBS specifically) which mimics his Dad + kid-like eagerness for hero stuff #which he gets rid off when he goes blue/black suit arc (cough cough nightwing looking ass) so just leaned MORE into it #mark has a heart on his chest because he's TRYING to do what he think he's best + emotional asf #lens/goggles are diff to keep the audiences' eye back at HIS eyes + look more ominous and predatory which the black/blue combo #already COULD do in canon but in show its just pallete swapped which ruins the more ominious look it probably intended #and doesnt really scream “OH NO! THERE'S NO GOLD! WHICH could be a marker of mark's joy vanishing!!!”#but i hope it does now but ALSO having design changes #the brainrotsreal's art tag ✧˖°:*♡#invincible rotating in my mind #mark grayson #invincible fanart #invincible #fanart #digital art #procreate art #i wish the style leaned more this way since it is messing with or TRYING to mess with some superhero tropes before it does its own thing #just straight up use nostalgia bait while it has his JL knock off #artists on tumblr

In a demon twins au- and given the chance -he would learn his grandfather's native language and culture (from a ghost cause the guy is like 600) and use it to roast the ever living shit out of his grandfather. Just present it in the cruelst way possible

drew some of my fav ody designs! wasnt originally meant to be also replicating the styles but thats sort of just how my brain works. except i didnt copy the lineart styles of anyone here so its DEFINITELY a bit uncanny for a couple of these (LOOKING AT YOU QINNY IM SO SORRY) but whatever

WAUGH its scary i need to do anatomy studies in general maybe #uhh havent commented on the gigi one. he was really easy to draw though lol. weirdly enough gigis style was close enough to my current one-#-that i didnt have any trouble whatsoever? and i think its the most accurate too but only because of the lineart styles being similar lol #ALSO NOT TO PLAY FAVORITES BUT FOOP ODYSSEUS IS MY FAVORITE #I LOVE HIMMM I LOVE HIS SILLY SHAPES HE LOOKS LIKE A WEIRD CAT KINDA. hey there!! i'd been checking this blog for a while, and I really wanted to say you're a great source of inspiration haha! I really love your dog characters and your lore! The amount of research and dedication is really amazing!! about ludovica's gf, do you mind if I come in with my vision as well? I think she'd be a really fluffy dog, maybe with curly hair. so my mind went to the portuguese water dog; but then i thought of two versions: long hair and short hair. so i drew both (tried my best to make her look like a lady and not a grandpa haha)

#I'm so sorry this ask is almost a year old at this point and I'm only now responding to it auh #but I keep thinking about this version of the mystery girlfriend habitually I think this is the first headcanon design anyone came up with #I absolutely adore that she's a fluffy curly dog it's such a bold and distinct choice #I don't have any ocs with this specific fur type so it would be a new and interesting challenge trying to get used to drawing her #and I totally get the struggle about the unintentional grandpa look heh it's the same thing with wirehaired dogs #the portuguese water dog is a fitting breed to pick considering the setting imo #I previously tried to make a lagotto romagnolo version of her but the curly face fur was really muddling her expressions #the white eyebrows are a clever move they're pretty and make her face so much more readable than a solid black would #the white streaks on her ears are a wonderful detail too they kind of remind me of frankenstein's bride haha #and I appreciate the fact you drew her in a period accurate dress! the rosy pink goes really nicely with her stark black and white fur #the sketches are so sweet their chemistry comes through so clearly #thank you so much for putting this much thought and effort into her! again I'm sorry I kept you waiting #I truly hope you didn't think I disliked your concept although I wouldn't blame you at all if that's the impression you got #I think I have another ask of yours somewhere in my inbox I'll try to find it #gift art #pouletpourrisoldblog #Ludovica #own characters #I'll come back to give the gf her own tag once I've decided on the name
