Transiting Pluto stations retrograde

Sunday, May 4, 15:27 UTC, 3°49’ Aquarius

This may not have much of a personal impact on you unless you have strong Pluto, Scorpio, &/or 8th House energy in your chart. (I’m a good example: 8th House Sun, Scorpio rising, Pluto conjunct my MC. Pluto says, “Jump;” I reply, “How high?”)

It’s also going to affect you more powerfully if it’s making an aspect to your natal Sun, Moon, &/or an angle. (Look for placements between 1°22’ - 3°49’ of any sign, and 16°22’ - 18°49’ of a mutable sign.)

And since I am attuned to Pluto, I’ve been thinking a lot about this station. Specifically, how it is colored by the sign Aquarius being in opposition to the sign Leo.

One of the big problems in the US is the toxic masculinity piece. It has festered away for years, now - the powers that be (TPTB) have fostered a climate of male isolation, particularly among younger men. Divide and conquer; if we’re too busy fighting amongst ourselves, then we’re too busy to fight TPTB.

(Everybody pause this and go listen to “Fight the Power” - either the original Isley Brothers, or the later Public Enemy one. I love both of them.)

Anyway! Alienation, isolation, icy cold blunted/stunted emotions - among the negative Aquarius traits. There is a lot of “übermensch” nonsense in there, too - all the so-called incels believe they’re entitled to the hottest, most popular girls, for example.

Here’s a pertinent section about Aquarius (in general) from Soul-Centered Astrology by Alan Oken. It describes another issue we (as a society) must address:

As Pluto treks slowly through Aquarius, we’ll see and hear a lot of things like:

It’s actually kind of necessary to find things to be happy about, in order to deal successfully with the darker things. Joy makes all our lives worthwhile. At the very least it provides us with much-needed respite from the gloom/doom.

first of all ive never gone to art school proper, or any real amount of college at all for that matter either, its not terribly hard to get ahead of your peers who do with proper work ethic and knowing where to look for, the 'self-taught' label is becoming increasingly arbitrary because the internet's made it all easier than ever to access if you know where to look

admittedly i was starting out at a very different time in the internet and speaking a different language, so i cannot quite recommend what i was using when i started between language availability and modern expectations of say video quality, however! i do have some pointers

if youve not already, look up and commit to practice the way youre supposed to hold the pen for art. genuinely good for your artwork, but, more importantly, helps you strain your wrist less. considering especially in the beginning artwork can take a long time, you need to get into those habits early. look up wrist exercises while you're at it and try to warm up your hands before starting. it is genuinely exactly like sports you cant skip the stretch. /

look for specific things. 'get good at art in 10 days' is the same as 'get fit in 10 days' even if its not impossible to learn some very useful fundamentals in that time, you know thats not what they have for you. you need to be looking for things like 'color contrast' 'muscles of the leg' 'how to do cleaner linework' when searching on the internet /

I would avoid short form content or even just shorter videos altogether or anything with a super flashy presentation for anything but like, simple software tricks, that stuff is not really usually interested in teaching things as much as its here to get algorithm points. it used to be a lot less of a thing and i feel sorry for people that are learning with this so saturated in the space ngl definitely steer clear off pinterest too. they wouldnt need to cocomelon you if they had something useful. did you know straight up art lecture recordings are out there btw? /

if you want an overview of a broad variety of things you want a book. yes i know. they are all fairly useful i would personally say and if you do not have a library in your immediate area, did you know the internet archive lets you borrow books digitally if you have an account? for human anatomy i really recommend the morpho series, for animals my go to was Gottfried Bammes, and i cannot recommend the Understanding Comics and Making Comics for sequential art, but generally speaking, books often want to appeal to people that are just starting out, so most of them that have a technical drawing aspect at all will help a beginner in some capacity. if you dont yet know which ones are 'good' i generally recommend looking into ones that mention the author is an art professor in the back /

important note: sometimes people consider the text on the page in those books as filler and Only look at the diagrams. that's not the case, you do in fact learn things if you read it /

also when reading those books take care to not just copy down the process but try your best to understand why. its not so much what it looks like so much as the thought process behind it /

use gesture drawing exercise tools like sketchdaily.com [if you do not wish to see nude models make sure it's filtered to clothed] if you do not yet know what gesture drawing is, that's a keyword to look up /

The secret sauce to drawing any creature is its bones and muscle. Trouble with faces? draw some studies off of photos of replica skulls. struggling to get what the hell is happening with the neck? look up a diagram of the neck muscles. a lot of 'anatomy for artists' resources are ultimately just translations of the scientific fact, so if youre not finding anything good there, go to the source! ive been doing that a lot lately. /

watch speedpaint videos! i know they dont come up as often on youtube naturally anymore but you get a Lot of insight into things from watching people whose art you like [and even don't like!] draw /

Draw real life things from real life. your pet or perhaps family member or friend, strangers on public transport, buildings outside it doesnt actually matter what just that you do it. photographs lack real life depth information most people's eyes can capture irl /

i know it can be kind of difficult these days but you shouldnt discount or ignore traditional even if you are not planning to focus on it. understanding of irl art mediums is really valuable even if you plan on being primarily digital because the less predictable nature of them builds confidence and helps you be more present among other benefits. its one of the many reasons youre not gonna find life drawing classes that allow students to just whip out a tablet /

hang out with your artist peers! ideally in spaces where people are actively making something like OCTs[Original Character Tournaments], game jams, even fandom spaces can work though i do not recommend that last one so much because they tend to be less interested in you as a person and more just seeing free art of their favorite guy and arent very friendly to beginners ngl. best find spaces specifically for original work, people tend to be more supportive there.

there really isnt a strict order in which you have to learn things. you can in fact go all in on turtle anatomy for a while if thats what interests you, why not, etc. but some good places to start are, in no particular order

anatomy of the face

anatomy of the torso

rotating cubes in 3d space [volume and perspective. generally not that scary i just find people overthink it a lot and get anxious]

how motion works[even if youre not at all animation inclined]

composition, color, contrast

various linework techniques, various panting techniques

mammal anatomy, bird anatomy, reptile anatomy, bug anatomy's nice too

basic plants, basic buildings, basic machinery

Anything deeper than that will be dictated by your own interests, this is just what would make you a very adaptable generalist. look up references whenever you struggle, study things you find visually cool, let your interests guide your research for the most part

but also, if i were to call Anything my big cool piece of advice, it's don't just sit around and aimlessly wait for your art to get 'good enough' to do something cool. start some little projects [and i do mean little. like under 5 pages of comic, a silly animation to a Short sound byte etc] and look up what you Directly need for them try your best. like a one day project, then a three day project then maybe a week long one, etc dont go right into anything long term right away, get practice finishing things first!

[youd be surprised what comics make you draw too, my last thing just had a random model t car in it for fun]

Because nothing, and i do mean nothing will teach you to make art in practice quite the same as making even a tiny project featuring the thing you want to learn

//STRADE TIME?!?! YIPPEEEEEE!!! (obviously, some warnings for this one. gets kinda nasty at the end, kinda fine-line near the midway, etc. normal strade stuff.)

Strade is a monster hidden among the public. The keyword is hidden. He's a totally normal man outside of his home. While he's ending peoples lives, he's simultaneously saving peoples days, whether it be taking on a neighbors flickering porch light just for the challenge, or stopping on a grocery trip to get something off the top shelf for a shortie- he does what he wants. And sometimes, he wants to feel like a good person, too. It brings him a sense of power, knowing to some, he'll simply be a kind man who helped out once- and to others, he will be an unspeakable creature.

Strade is a very educated, calculated, smart man. But he isn't very intelligent. Keeping people in loose binds around mountains of sharp, dangerous tools isn't the smartest idea, but he's too proud to see anything wrong with it. His air alone usually keeps his victims in check, and therefor, he hasn't given himself an opportunity to see how this could be... Not very smart? It's worked so far, so he never changed his routine. Shouldn't have left the screwdriver down there, bud.

He never excuses his behavior. He knows exactly what he is and accepts it. Loves it, even. He never denies the animal he is. And though he never feels self-conscious about it, or carries regret and or remorse, or would ever, ever apologize- it still messes with his head sometimes, in other ways. Reminds him of his own mortality. Reinforces his ego. Oh, poor poor Strade, woe is he, why do these thoughts have to plague him?

Strade does what he wants, when he wants. This means he falls into the very rare phase of wanting to be better. Specifically, towards Ren. He's a good sport. Makes him happy. Sometimes Strade likes making him happy, too. There's no better praise to be had than from the one person who depends on you entirely. To hear he's good, to hear he's so generous, so kind, so beloved- the validation is always unmatched. Every good dog deserves a treat once in a while. His dog just so happens to enjoy those and'knee-may figurines. All the soft pets, warm cuddles, nice words, and vanilla sex only lasts for so long, however. He falls out of these phases quick- though, poor Ren has no idea when it'll happen. He is easily coaxed into traps because of this.

Strade would like to be a content creator someday. NO, not one wrapped up in his unusual hobby, he's already pretty popular in those spaces. But sometimes he wishes he could turn on that stream and just talk. Just have some normal company made up of people who get it to hangout with while getting some household chores done. He does sometimes feel used, the way his audience only wants him to get on with the gutting. Strade is just a man at the end of the day, and all men get lonely.

He doesn't see people any differently than they are. He's aware they're people. Not livestock, not an art project, not a soul to release, not something to dabble with- just people. He sees no spiritual potential in a specific person when he selects his next victim, it's just.. Whoever seems easiest. Whoever seems cute enough for an audience. Whoever looks most lost. With this veiled experience under his belt, he can easily spot a predator in public. And believe it or not- he does his best to come in between a potential danger and their victim of choice. He's protective of his work, but aside from that, he also likes being an asshole. He can read those intentions. He knows how delicious those kinds of evil games are. He loves being able to take that away. Loves being a beacon for a helpless little lamb, all because they're not his first choice.

Strade is considered a good, friendly neighbor! He gets along well with the people he lives next to, does a lot of favors, is nice to the kids running up and down the block- Offers to fix shit for free, offers rides if the distance is short enough, stops to chat when seeing a familiar face- the usual good-guy routine. But he never lets them close enough to know him. He's just a guy with a nice smile and good attitude. In a lot of his deeds, however, small hints and red flags are laced through his behavior, and venom can be found in his words. Putting your hand on a neighbors knee while they're in your car, at your mercy, is kind of a weird thing to do. He loves the way people are always slightly off-put, but since he's so nice, they'd rather be polite and take it.

Strade will often play up his accent in public as a minor safety net, had anyone ever call him out on something weird he said. Can always excuse it as just a slip of foreign tongue.

He makes up a different story for each time he's asked about the scar on his face.

His first few incidents occurred when he was still pretty young. He really did try desperately, at the time, to stray from these acts- but at some point he just accepted the fact that he's kind of weird, and he will keep hurting people. There's no point in beating himself up over it every single time. So now, his low moments are restricted to ending people he became particularly attached to. Note, he isn't sad their life was cut short, he's sad they're not around to play with anymore.

Only Ren could tell you how Strade sounds while singing. He has a lovely humming voice. A very silky, low tone with a bit of gruff as he occupies himself. Anything that's not humming is.. Well, he's having fun!

Strade has his morals in order, funnily enough. Again, he knows the monster he is- doesn't mean he can't be a decent person when being a person. He would absolutely punch a terf. He would also not hesitate to become one if he knew it bothered or distressed a victim, but that doesn't mean he means it. This rule applies for literally anything.

Strade's ego and pride is such a big part of him. However, despite it being rarer than rare, he can, and sometimes does feel shame. Shocker, I know. But had anyone, anyone, even his fox find out about his interest in Sounding, it would be over. He penetrates. He does not get penetrated. Makes him feel weak, and small. But he likes it, and lord knows he can't stop doing anything he likes. (Bonus: Ren knows. He's just afraid of what may happen if Strade knows he knows. He "cleans" the toy for him in his absence as a filter, instead of taking it up with him.)

I very seldom post about sports on here but I simply wish to express myself right now. I’ve been a casual table tennis fan since 2017 maybe, earliest 2016, because I remember the first ever table tennis video I watched and the match happened in 2015. Anyway I’m not anything close to being a pro like I don’t even play at all and actually I would say I know very little about how the game works, because again the keyword here is casual, like very very casual. I just like to watch it for fun, I’ve never taken the time to learn about it. But this has never stopped me from getting excited over the matches. Stupidity runs deep in me and a lot of what I’m about to say probably won’t make sense and there might even be a bit of misinformation not to mention I’m a bit sleep deprived so feel free to SKIP please, this is just me feeling things

I really think they should’ve sent ma long for men’s singles. I’m not very familiar with wang chuqin’s play but at least from what I’ve seen, I don’t think he’s the better player. I don’t have any kind of evidence to provide in objective terms, this is just me basing it off of my own intuition and the clips that I’ve seen from the two of them. Ma long strikes me as being much more stable, and obviously much more experienced. He has been playing for much longer after all and his track record is no joke. My brother who plays table tennis agreed that losing your main racket will surely affect your play, but regardless, I feel like if it had been ma long in that position he still would’ve won. Maybe getting his main racket broken affected him mentally too. But again, regardless of this, that’s your job as an athlete. You should be able to prepare yourself physically and mentally. Also, back in Beijing 2008 something similar happened to zhang yining and she still won gold, with her opponent being very tough as well, so. Probably not a very good excuse. But congratulations to him still for winning mixed doubles, and kudos for denying that excuse too in his interview.

On the other hand something made me a bit emotional during fan zhendong vs harimoto. From what I can remember harimoto’s parents are quite soft spoken people, but during the match I saw at one point his dad shouted with his hands on either side of his mouth in order to cheer for him, and then somewhere towards the end of the match his dad was doing something with his hands, like offering a bit of coaching or support, I actually don’t know what he was doing at the time but he seemed truly excited and proud, and that was quite moving for me. World championships are held every two years and world cups every year, but the Olympics only every four years and for a parent, to be able to watch their child not only participate in it but also go above and beyond in performance, it must be an indescribable experience. Even the rest of the Japanese team were cheering for him so passionately. It’s just like how the father of the 58 year old Zeng zhiying stayed up all night just to watch her match. I felt emotional too when she talked about how her 92 year old father watched her compete, with the Olympic dream having been in their hearts for decades. What an inspiration. Anyway regardless of the results I think the majority of people would probably agree that fan zhendong vs harimoto should’ve been and was pretty much the finals. It was very intense for both sides, one being that harimoto and his family have always been branded by some people as traitors because of their immigrant status and again because of the same status it probably isn’t a reach to say as a bit of an alien for some Japanese people. So the Olympics gold is a huge, huge deal for him and his family because it’s a way to even further “show” their loyalty I suppose, but also to prove to the ones that call them traitors that they are at least better off now than they were before. On the other side we have fan zhendong who ABSOLUTELY CANNOT lose, because he’s the only one left in the running for gold in his team. To have wang chuqin get dropped so early and then in the next moment have to prepare to meet harimoto must have been wild. The pressure must have been extreme, probably almost tangible even. I know he’s an incredibly skilled and accomplished athlete but I couldn’t help but feel sorry for him. Nevertheless it was an amazing match. I think harimoto might have choked towards the end, because in the sixth set with him having won three sets already he lost, and then in the last set he was up by 1 point 7-6 and lost five points in a row and so ultimately lost the match. The both of them are beasts though and arguably the best male players in singles. I’m happy that fan zhendong won, because after that he won 4-0 over Felix and now he’s off to the finals to face truls who won over wang chuqin. I’m not familiar with truls’ play, but we are talking about fan zhendong here. And just for the sake of getting a bit of reference I looked up his match against fan zhendong back in the 2021 world championships and he lost 4-0 so, even if he really has had some kind of power up or whatever, I’m still not too worried. Mainly I’ve read his recent statements/interviews and he seems a bit arrogant if I’m being completely honest, so I personally would find it satisfying to see him be humbled in the finals. Also, I’m not familiar with Hugo calderano’s play either, but I saw he lost the first set against truls even though he was up by 6 points 10-4, and I agree he probably choked. Not to discredit truls, he’s obviously playing at a high level as well or he wouldn’t have been selected for singles to represent Sweden, but choking is real. Calderano lost to himself, and truls arguably also had the better coach. Speaking of coaches, I was also surprised that they sent a Chinese coach to accompany harimoto. This is the Olympics, and they’re representing Japan. Given the history between the two countries it’s probably a bit of a sensitive situation, to say the least.

I haven’t had the time to check out the women’s yet but I will soon enough. Also I don’t know if I’m just biased but I didn’t think they’d send miu hirano for singles. For some time now I’ve always been under the impression that mima ito and even harimoto miwa are better than her. Again, casual fan here. I can’t emphasize this enough. I probably just haven’t seen enough of their matches. I’m excited for the teams events though.

CK64 Theory: The "Magic" of Corn Powers

This theory is a little longer than my last, but nothing too lengthy

"Corn Powers": according to Alexis, the ability for goats to seemingly do anything in their dreams. Case in point, her ability to portal-travel and do other things for Seve, then him being able to do professional parkour and his horn-dash attack. Yet, it appears to go beyond simple lucid dreaming...

Assuming Seve is falling asleep and dreaming again each time we start the game up, doesn't it seem strange that everything would remain altered the way it priorly was? "Lexi's Monster Park" still remains after Alexis gutted out the Nacho Emporium for her own personal touch. Depending on what you've done thus far in Owlloh's Hollow, the changes remain. They're clearly not just random scenarios the mind generates during sleep-based brain activity, they're clearly manipulatable realms of their own being. In fact, Alexis even states the existence of some "infinite nacho" realm like it's its own thing.

There's also the mentioned fact that Alexis relies on Seve's dreams and their corn powers to make seeing each other possible. If you believe Alexis to be a “real” goat, like Seve, then it means they've got this magical ability to visit each other in these "dreams." Keyword: "magic,” as in the supernatural ability to impact and enter these realms, and perform abilities within them. All that’s required is the magical being to fall asleep (or possibly something similar), then their powers become possible.

Plus, look at Seve and Alexis… They’re clearly not just normal goats-- and not in regards to Seve claiming themselves as being “developmentally crippled mutant goats.” Look no further than the odd, singular horn upon these goats’ heads: they’re reminiscent of unicorn horns, and you’d probably even assume Seve and Alexis unicorns if you didn’t hear them point out their caprine nature (or hear them “baaa” in-game). Is it possible that they could be less “mutant goats” and more the deformed descendents of actual unicorns? Obviously, in our world, goats and horses aren’t related; but who’s to say it’s not possible in Seve and Alexis’ world?

Equines belong to the “perissodactyls” group, which are a group of herbivore mammals known for having an odd number of digits. While Seve and Alexis have two digits on the hooves serving as their feet, they have three digits on the hooves serving as hands. Throw in the unicorn-like horns, and you start to wonder if-- even if they’re clearly not pure unicorns --there could be such equine ancestry within them. Who knows: perhaps there was a time goats managed to eventually be alongside actual unicorns and that led to some “mixing,” per se? Then, the obviously inherited magic could’ve caused that very “mutation” into the anthropomorphic beings we see now? There’s never any mention that, say, nuclear waste was instead responsible for such “mutating.” So, there could be a chance that the goats of Seve and Alexis’ world are really a hybrid species-- assuming everyone else or a good number of them also sport a singular horn, but it’s likely everyone else sports the same combination of feet-hooves with even digits and hand-hooves with odd digits.

Perhaps only the more "magical" of goats, those who are more in touch with said unicorn ancestry, spout just one horn to prove their stronger magic? Therefore, you have the lone horn as one of these goats, you’re a caprine of magical capabilities via your dreams. There are even real world cases where spiritual abilities activate when someone’s asleep or in a similar state: clairvoyant dreams that predict the future, the sleep-like state of astral projection that allows you to travel spiritually by removing your soul from its body (or how you’d specifically explain it)... It appears such abilities are possible for those like Seve and Alexis, and they shine brightest when asleep and dreaming (perhaps even astral projecting themselves to these "dream realms" instead).

Why do certain topics sound like they're happening everywhere simultaneously?

This is what we call "Topical" news.

The same reason everybody talks about the *current president* or *Taylor Swift* or *KPop* or the latest *Tom Cruise* movie. Or even *NFL* over any other sport.

A bigger question is about "Bread Tube" creators. Why do they all seem to talk about the *exact same thing every week?* Because they're following what's topical. Either they're focused on the most trending keywords over the past month, or they work on multiple videos and release the most topical one at what's the better time for each episode.

But what makes left-tube specifically?

Do you wanna know? Do you *really* wanna know? You might not like the answer.

It's actually dependent on whatever the term is for YouTube *shock jock*. Your alt-right guys, your conservative male *authority* looking tubers, Your Alex Jones, your Howard Sterns.

They decide what the trending topic is, usually specifically, whatever it is they talk *most negatively* about. So why is trans the hot topic? Because they keep talking so much s* about trans people: being tricked by trans women, not getting enough testosterone because of trans men, unsavory jokes etc etc, all drives up those topics to the top of the algorithm.

And since the viewers at least have a modicum of decency, they look for the "opposing view" of this negative attention. And left tube just rides the algorithm like that.

Yea. Negativity fuels the algorithm. Your hate, and *cancel culture* drives traffic to "liberal creators".

It's crazy, I know.

But there's a secondary problem with that: that mechanism prevents other topics from being discussed. Like, how is the country operating? What problems do you care about *behind* the topical stuff are actively being worked? Or being worked against what you and everybody you know's best interest because your focused on trans people?
