Septarians are cool and all but do you guys know there's another underrated species of monsters who actually feels threatening but are unfortunately demonized as well?

Behold. The Mud Dwellers from the discontinued comic series. I'm not good with words so here my hap about it.

What I liked about these guys is other than being obviously dangerous they seem to be one of the last pocket of organized Monster resistance that still has a semblance of dignity and hasn't been scattered judging by their clothing. Like that's definitely not something that would be obtained from scraps. I always thought maybe at one point they'd show up and perhaps be a group star has to approach for Monster support equality especially since they were still active after Moon scattered toffee forces and there was no indication that they were also destroyed

Honestly when you put it this way, Toffee killing comet does not really make much sense at all. Monsters won't really lose anything at all from this treaty. At least no more than they already did. And toffee isn't some extremist idiot cause even he knows killing comet wouldn't do anything.

If anything the only ones who would benefit from this are the conservative mewmams who stands to gain a lot more from a monster killing their queen who was fighting for peace

I think I've realized why the "Toffee killing Comet" plot point feels so off.

It isn't just that it's having a character with a point do something evil so the audience can dismiss him, it's also asking us to buy into a series of deeply unserious premises. We are being asked to believe that

A) there is a leader of the oppressive regime who is kind and perfect and everyone loves her, and she has successfully brokered peace and equality and is set to usher in a perfect world.

B) the person mad enough about her brokering peace and equality to kill her is a member of the marginalized group she is, supposedly, benefiting who is upset because he wants mewmens to be his lessors, not his equals.

And the thing about all that, is that this scenario would never happen. Generally, when people who are trying to improve things get assassinated, it's by the people who are already in power, not, like. A strawman minority that wants to be the oppressor. It's a freaking… "What if the world was made of pudding"-type situation, in that it's a made up scenario that would never happen.

Like, there's a reason why some people think that Mina killed Comet, and it's because the narrative we are given here simply doesn't make sense.
