Where's your heaven? The back fields and the rolling winds, my venom Can't touch your skin without leaving scars, scars And your body rocks from side to side You're still on my mind
And here's to nothing Just the touch of your skin could be enough But you're not here Are you sleeping, are you sleeping at all? Have we said it all?
Will you hunt me down? Maybe you're a bad idea but I'm loving every minute of it Will you hunt me down? Maybe you're a bad idea but I'm loving every minute of it Maybe you're a bad idea but I'm loving every minute of it
What am I missing Your concrete thoughts and your liquid sense of vision Won't you stay awhile and paint me right on you Won't you stay awhile and paint me something new Have we said it all?
Will you hunt me down? Maybe you're a bad idea but I'm loving every minute of it Will you hunt me down? Maybe you're a bad idea but I'm loving every minute of it Maybe you're a bad idea but I'm loving every minute of it
Oh did you get it right, take a little time Did you fight, did you wait awhile And did you get your freedom?
Whoa, did you get it right, take a little time Did you fight, did you wait awhile And did you get your freedom?

What was the first rock song you ever listened to?
For me, it was 'Stray' by Steve Conte an alternative rock track from the anime Wolf’s Rain. I was in third grade and didn’t fully understand the lyrics back then but something about the sound really stuck with me. After a while, the show stopped airing on TV and I lost track of the song. Years later, once I had access to the internet, I searched for it using the few lyrics I could remember. Eventually, I found it and relived the memories.
I'm asking about this specific genre because it played a big part in my childhood alongside Metal and Conscious Rap. However, I don’t really listen to these genres anymore or count them among my favourites. Actually I never really had a favourite genre. I just happened to listen these genres most at that time. Now, I rarely listen to music so, I’m completely out of the loop when it comes to the music, all I see is wild genres I’ve never even heard of before.

"I'm here standing on the edge"

Anyways, watch Wolf's Rain! It's a really good anime and highly underrated.
This is like the most detailed drawing I've done, I don't usually do backgrounds.

Steve Conte: Stray
youtube
To begin our next trilogy, here's legendary badass Steve Conte providing one of the greatest anime openings of all time, Stray for Wolf's Rain. This song reminds you that human or wolf, you have to live your life anyway that you want...even if it results in the end of the world.
But what are the odds of that happening?
Song Score: 30,000,000/10

Anime of the day: Wolf's Rain

Releasd: 2003
This anime is set in a dystopia. In this dystopia there is a myth that when the world ends paradise will open, but only wolves can go to paradise. Wolves were thought to be extinct; however, they just hide themselves among the humans. Kiba, our main character, is in search of this paradise. He teams up with a group of others to seek it out. This anime has a very distinct and dreary art style. The society is depicted in greying hues which contrasts with the sharper colors of the wolves. I think I’m digressing. It’s a beautiful anime with a soundtrack to match, which I’ll get into later. I found it interesting and compelling, the topics broached and the overall delivery was excellent, despite the constant recaps.
Let’s get into the music. There is an individual soundtrack; however, I’d like to look at the opening mostly. "Stray" by Steve Conte is the opening for all 26 episodes. This song is incredibly nostalgic. It’s also in English. I remember all of the words for this song. It’s been so long since I’ve watched it, yet I remember it. I should warn that it’s annoying to hear on repeat. "Gravity" by Maaya Sakamoto is the first ending and then the final episode has its own ending "Tell Me What the Rain Knows" also by Maaya Sakamoto.
