Me, every time anyone says anything about "waiting for The One God has for you"/romantic soulmates/etc: Stop, stop, stop! Aventurine and Sunday have a fun dynamic because you’ve got two well-meaning but incredibly traumatized dudes with unbelievably fucked up childhoods that have both seen some of the absolute worst of humanity, but from completely different (arguably somewhat opposite) angles, and the result is that each of them is not only primed to expect danger from anyone at any time, but each also kinda lowkey immediately sets off all of the other’s internal warning sirens because the other one’s coping mechanisms triggers that “ohhhh we got a bAD FUCKIN DUDE” trauma response. And then they both go absolutely fucking feral and try to fuck up each other’s whole deal in exceedingly roundabout and underhanded ways. (The main difference there just being that Sunday has learned to go on the offensive and Aventurine has learned to go on the defensive.) Them meeting was probably always gonna be like a fucking nuke detonating, with the circumstances just affecting how and in what way.

I also think it could be very therapeutic for them both to make out but that’s neither here nor there

SO DO YOU KNOW HOW AVEN GAVE UP HIS ROOM FOR THE TRAILBLAZER BC THEY COULDN’T CHECK IN??? Well, I think it was not just to get the express on his side a bit and start up a deal with them, but he also deliberately wanted to talk to the family (ie Sunday) to switch rooms. I mean, giving Sunday the full control to choose where Aventurine stays? Aventurine, an enemy of Sunday’s due to the fact that he is a representative of the IPC? Would Sunday not be chomping at the bit at the prospects of being able to control that? (Ik he’s a family member but I do not think he is in charge of hotel reception normally). I already think Sunday was listening into Ratio and Avens argument in 2.0 (which was obviously staged read by other posts), but now that I remember this, that Sunday was given full control over where Aven would stay? No way in hell he wasn’t gonna monitor that room, if he somehow wasn’t planning on it already.

What’s really striking me right now is just the profound distrust I have in RTD.

Next week is going to be the last Doctor Who we get for YEARS, and it’s not exaggerating to say that there’s a dozen lingering questions set up since 2023, and I don’t trust Davies to answer any of them.

Shout out to Susan and FUCKING ROGUE WHOSE IN SUPER HELL APPARENTLY??? trying to appear and fix shit, and shout out to the fandom who proceeded to after Rani and Susan go okay let's try Omega next, only for Omega to now be confirmed in Wish World in the episode right after! But also I need to fucking know why the Rani was written the way she was because....it's giving wanted the Master but ended up doing the Rani instead last second, not gonna lie... Plus why was I able to call that Belinda wouldn't get much to do this episode and Ruby would get more....and why in the fuck is it each reality/timeline that is different, Carla is out here disowning Ruby somehow??? How is it the mess that was Lucky Day was the exception to this??? And that ending line about Poppy being real...is this gonna be connected to the Susan shit or...god dammit have to wait till next saturday now for answers here...

The baby mouth cgi had me giggling the whole first episode

ruby and 15 are the sweetest!

I need to study them under a microscope and keep them in a jar

they’re really giving the misbehaving school kids that rtd promised

15 was so so so sweet with the babies!! (“Nobody grows up wrong” ASAFGSHDJS)

though predictable, I liked space babies more than I thought I would, solid 7/10 ⭐️

as for the 2nd episode, I loved the maestro

the devils chord was an episode that had me reeling, in a good way that I haven’t felt from dr who since 12s era (sorry chibs I just wasn’t a fan)

Thank you for the tags, everyone! Wow a lot of people wanted to see seven sentences from me, I feel honored.

It's been so long since I last did a tag game that in that time, I finished writing Faded Daisy, outlined the sequel, and started writing the sequel. (The sequel doesn't yet have a title. Hence why I am just saying "the sequel" a lot.) Anyway here are seven sentences from the beginning of the sequel.

For a few minutes after Linos Tievis realized he had lost everything, all he could do was stand still. Snow slowly gathered around his feet, in his hair, and landed softly and invisibly onto his shoulders. He noted dimly that he should be cold, but he couldn't feel it. Was that a symptom of the change happening in his body, or was he was simply too numb to care about physical sensation? Did it matter which it was? Normally he would take any chance to categorize any possible change, to record it for the sake of science, but it wasn't as if he had any reason to do that anymore. His experiment was over.

Thankfully the seven sentences cut off right before big spoilers, so that's convenient for me.
