my take on a swap!error and swap!ink

i do not have art because i hate everything i ever draw.

please give me attention anyways

was inspired by @unu-nunu-art's goobers template and pale I LOVE THEM SO MUCH WHAT GOOBERS so i made my swapped my own error and ink

these two keep the original personalities, but swap their roles of creation vs destruction

(working duo title is the Vacant Souls, VS!Error and VS!Ink)

PENROSE SANS

Penrose does not remember much about anything. He had a timeline. He was happy. He was an artist, he thinks.

Then, emptiness. Penrose's SOUL was consumed by a black hole. His body is completely empty, eaten away by the black hole. He feels nothing, with no SOUL to fuel emotion.

The first time he awoke after emptiness, he was falling apart. His body being melted down into ink and pulled in by the vacuum inhabiting his chest.

Toriel was looking down at him, her body starting to melt the same way.

It was instinct. He doesn't even remember why he did it. His stringy liquified arm shot out and pierced her chest. Her SOUL.

Bright white liquid flowed out of Toriel's smeared form. SOUL INK.

Penrose's black hole drank the ink and his body solidified again.

Penrose's SOUL was consumed by a black hole due to an error in his timeline's code. The black hole turns all around it into ink which it consumes. The only reason Penrose himself is able to survive is by satiating the vacuum, fueling it with ink.

Penrose can summon mini versions of his black hole to attack, turning other people's bodies into ink instantaneously. Additionally, Penrose has a large fountain pen in place of Broomie. The pen's tip has a mini black hole in it, which he uses to pierce SOULs.

There are two kinds of ink to Penrose, inert ink and SOUL INK. Inert ink is obtained when any matter is consumed by Penrose's black hole. SOUL INK is specific to liquified SOULs.

Inert ink does not function well as fuel, it burns quickly and is better suited for use in creation. Penrose can use inert ink to create things such as swords, terrain, anything that can be thought of truly.

SOUL INK is Penrose's treasure. It is what keeps his black hole at bay. Different colors of SOUL provide different things and cause him to feel different things. Bravery burns fast and causes him to act brash, but can be used to create fire magic. Perseverance burns slow and calm, but can make him less willing to act.

Visually, Penrose is very classy. He wears a tan suit and coat with a white ruffle. His eyelights change colors to be a blend of whatever SOUL INK he's currently burning, with higher quantities being more present. He wields a huge fountain pen named Penny as his main weapon, but likes to use silver swords as well.

TERMINAL SANS

An error. That's all he is. An error in the code. Never meant to happen.

What can someone do when they know they aren't meant to exist? When their home forced them out because of it?

What can someone do when they know they're not the only one?

Terminal was an error caused by a white hole, another thing that's not meant to exist. His SOUL is inside of the white hole, and the white hole sits inside his chest.

Where a black hole consumes all, a white hole creates all. It took Terminal a great deal of time to get accustomed to having his SOUL encased in a force of omnipotent creation.

In time, Terminal learned how to control this power. How to summon white holes and get them to create what he wants them to create.

Once mastered the power of creation, Terminal swore an oath.

Any error that can be prevented, will be prevented. Any error that cannot, will be protected.

Terminal is an error. His body is assembled from garbage code and his SOUL is encased inside a white hole.

Terminal can tap into the code of any timeline. He summons command prompts to access code. (Terminal runs arch btw) He can also use programming to create things, such as his signature golden axe programmed to deal 99999 damage.

Terminal uses mini white holes to conjure things.

Terminal lives in the Posivoid, which differs from the Antivoid in that it is full of things Terminal has created. The Posivoid essentially acts like the Omega Timeline, in that outcodes and errors can live there without any requirement.

Terminal doesn't have strings, but he can conjure transparent white cubes that function as protection. These cubes can be put over SOULs, SAVE POINTs, individual bits of code, really anything. He can teleport cubes to anywhere in his vision, allowing him to rescue SOULs in danger by shielding and teleporting them to safety.

Terminal's main role is protecting timelines from errors occurring. He's coded an army of tiny cartoonish spiders which he calls Debuggers that he plants in timelines to watch for corrupted code.

When a timeline gets corrupted, Terminal connects to it, pauses it, and rewrites the corrupted code. If he can't catch the error in time, the resulting outcode is brought to the Posivoid.

Visually, Terminal wears a baggy hoodie and shorts that have cube decals on it. His hood is up. His skeleton is mostly black, with reflections of CMY light. His eyelights are black, while his sclera changes color with every blink. Three cubes of descending size hang behind his head like a ponytail. CMY colored streaks blur his lineart.

I had a weird ass dream just now.

The format was like an fnf battle. It was dark, and the background was hard to make out, but it looked broken, and moonlight was coming through the roof (I think). In the foreground, it seemed to have a fireplace on the right as there were orange highlights on the character, and the right side was in a warmer tone (but that could also be for a different reason). There were two characters, blueberror and grillby. But they looked different. Grillby was taller and bigger than how he normally looked. His clothes were hard to make out as they changed every time I focused on him (once he had an old samurai uniform that was red). His fire was white with an orange rim, and his eyes were two white circles. But most of the time, his head was out of the frame even when he was singing. Blueberror had a squared head, and his eyes were also white circles. He looked more deranged. His clothes were normal. He never smiled in the beginning. Actually, when the battle started, a brain dropped into his skull, waking him up.

Around the middle (or beginning, it was really confusing) of the song they both grabbed each other by the shirts and started screaming at each other, but blueberror teeth were long and yellowish, the ends were flat. Grillby fire ripped open to show a mouth. After the screaming match (that lasted like 10 seconds), they went back to singing, and blueberror started smiling-

And then I woke up (T^T)

This is what I he looked like (I just drew grillby how I do normally draw him but with longer arms). Honestly, the thing had a horror vibe to it.
