maybe it was just a cool visual but like...is anyone else curious about what would've happened if Lin Ling gave into the fear in his first battle? Like, fear seems to function the same as trust (or belief or faith or whatever) since his old boss said his workers' fears of getting laid off powered him but it kinda seems like Lin Ling was gonna get infected by the fear after doubting himself (fear in another sense, I guess)?

anyway had another random thought about how faith and fear go hand in hand in religion and in general (machiavelli-esque kinda thing, y'know?) and just like, what if a hero becomes so powerful people become as scared as they are reverent of them and they end up turning into villains?

Cob's 'solution' to his robots consistently defecting is to create MephoneX. A robot completely void of personality.

A robot that acts more as a puppet than anything else. Instead of completing orders like every other Mephone it has to be controlled by someone else. It doesn't even follow Cob's until it is ordered to do so.

And I'm not entirely sure if it's intentional, or a slip of the writer's but knowing that makes MephoneX saving Cob's without being given an order to do so much more interesting.

Cob's legacy, his final attempt at making life that solely conforms to him and not their own desires-- failed in a way?? After all that MephoneX still decides on his own to save him. That was it's own choice... Its very first act of free will and it saves its creator...

this term is characterized by adrenaline, thrill, fun, blood, flirting/playing with death, catharsis, instincts, the thrill of a chase, banter, blood, bloodlust, hunting, restlessness, murder, etc etc!

can also be connected to death with no consequences, seeing death as intimate or a game, love intertwined with death & hunting, death in a positive or romanticized light, etc, but doesn’t have to be!

Terminology:

dexi/dexine/dexinity; tudexitii gender quality, equivalent to fem/feminine/femininity.

transdexi/transdexine/transtudexitii; one who has or is transitioning towards a dexi/dexine/tudexitii identity.
