i'm giving myself a break so i can do replies w o o ! at least O N E !

i was thinking about it & if i ever did a cis-human verse i think i've hammered out most of his backstory:

born into a wealthy & influential crime family; samael was pushed for achievement from birth. he's placed in violin lessons; piano; gymnastics; ballet & figure skating as well as AP classes as soon as they were available. faced with equation of success=approval he pushed himself hard to excel at the detriment of his emotional stability. as a teenager he started to bulk out which removed expectations to go into professional ballet or figure skating.

a serious individual; he has problems suppressing his emotions: however he is ruthless on eliminating problems. an incident with a would-be bully trying to make fun of him ended with a skate to the face. nobody bothered him again- but that also had impact on whether he should go into those careers.

upon leaving jail the family collapsed & surprise; the evidence keeping him there was suddenly gone he now had the education to become a conductor. he used his own connections to get a foot in the door & worked up to the position. he's taken music & dancing back up in his free time but without the constraints of the past he seeks out adrenaline to feel something. he rides a motorcycle. he drives too fast. he loves car tricks. he runs a tiktok account where he does motorcycle content & parkour. sometimes dance videos or food at restaurants & the occasional masked or helmeted thirst trap. he has sordid club hookups. he isn't friendly & he's kind of mean.

his family; seeing this violence potential started to groom him for the business. gymnastics; ballet & figure skating were reduced (not eliminated; for he loved them) in place of wrestling; football & combat (which he hated). he was now allowed to take part in minor aspects of the business. as for school: he pivoted his interest to music & decided to become a symphonic conductor.

post-highschool graduation he absconded with his brother lucifer as well as some other siblings who didn't want to take part of the business. lucifer didn't mention at the time he wanted to take over with his own connections. in order to assist & other reasons samael took a position in a club as a go go dancer to gain information & eliminate competition. their family didn't take that lightly & everyone who left ended up in jail on their evidence. samael spent his time there either in isolation or studying.

later down the line he gets requests to become a stunt person because his account blows up & does it part time during symphony off seasons.

From a young age, Bri has been known as an…overachiever, to put it lightly. Anything she’s wanted to do, she has succeeded in. Horse riding at seven, dance lessons at ten, clarinet lessons at thirteen. And nothing was ever too much. She always had to do all of it at the same time. Not because she needed to, not because she had any expectations to live up to, but because she wanted to. She got a rush from being told how good she was at something, that if she kept practicing that she should have no trouble achieving the highest goal possible. Since the age of fourteen, she’s kept a list of things she wants to accomplish by the age of twenty-five. Winning a grammy and becoming a senator are both on this list. Everything has to be perfect in her eyes, and carefully thought out, because if it’s not than what’s the point of doing it at all?

It’s not like Brianna hasn’t made time for anything else, because of course she hasn’t. An important facet of being an overachiever is making sure she has multiple feet in every facet, including social interaction. At the age of nine, she became the “president” of her fourth grade class, strictly because she spoke to each and every student in her class, gotten to know them, made them like her to the point where they voted for her in a unanimous vote. This continued on throughout school. Bri would talk to anyone who would listen, anyone who would take the time out of their day to hear what she had to say. And Brianna’s never been one to shy away from talking about anything and nothing all at the same time.

This is how she attracted the attention of Daniel. Daniel was a boy she had met in the ninth grade, on the first day of symphonic concert band. When the conductor had asked for those who had auditioned for first clarinet chair over the summer, both Brianna and Daniel shot their hands up as fast as they could. And while Brianna eventually beat out Daniel, but not before he had slyly bet that if she lost, he would have to go on a date with her. Though she had won, she had accepted the date anyway, because anyone who was even slight competition for her needed to be properly put in their place. Her and Daniel’s relationship was a whirlwind of clarinet practice and picnics in the summer. A beautiful year and a half that Brianna would have traded for the world.

After a while, though, Daniel began to resent the fact that his girlfriend always won. Always had to be perfect. After another failed audition for clarinet chair, with Brianna beating him once more, Daniel finally snapped. One strike to the cheek with a clarinet case, and it was all over. He began to get angry at Brianna over the littlest things: turning in her tests first, or getting more compliments on a duet that they did. His clarinet case was soon replaced by his hand, and the bruises moved from Brianna’s cheeks to her arms, her legs, her stomach. After a particularly rough afternoon, a counselor caught Brianna trying to cover up a fingerprint-shaped bruise on her forearm. The counselor convinced Brianna to leave Daniel, to get away from everything that had to do with him, though she had no idea who it even was because Brianna had refused to tell her. It was hard, and to this day no one knows why Brianna and Daniel broke up, because they were absolutely perfect for each other. But Brianna feels at last she has been liberated. And she can get back to doing what she does best: everything.

Like, this is the exact same pile of steaming bullshit they feed to people like me who have severe Depression. As in the diagnosed mental illness, not the shit spouted by people who just “feel sad” over something slightly negative.

Like, fucking no Helen, no everyone does NOT “feel that way sometimes”.

“We all” do not have to keep ourselves distracted 24/7 to avoid the looming intrusive thoughts and feelings of utter hopelessness.

“We all” don’t struggle to fucking get up in the morning or do the simplest of tasks because it takes almost all of our energy just to fucking exist.

“We all” don’t have to regularly get loved ones to hide pill bottles and weapons because we find ourselves wishing we didn’t have to be alive to deal with this constant suffering and the sense that it’s only burdening the people we love most.

And yes, I fucking said CONSTANT. It’s a regular struggle for people with Depression just to exist normally. All the above shit is a regular thing for us.

So no, Karen. No, “we all” do not “feel that way sometimes”. Saying so is like spitting in the face of people like me who have to deal with this on a constant basis. Just. Shut the fuck up and go vaccinate your fucking kids. ))
