i know everyone is really excited for the oblivion remake because i was too. oblivion was the first real video game i ever played when i was a kid, and is literally the reason i am a gamer today, but BDS has called for a microsoft boycott, and that includes anything made by bethesda.
this isn't just a "oh they have some obscure business partnerships in isr*el" or "oh they donate to this or that lobby" sort of boycott either, although those are important too. my tone is not meant to be flippant about them, but rather i want to emphasize the gravity of how microsoft directly and deliberately contributes to the palestinian death toll daily, in a way that is uniquely cruel and complicit.
microsoft has had a $35 million dollar contract with the isr*eli military since 2002. they provide cloud storage for surveillance data of gazan civillians, and an artificial intelligence program called a "mass assassination factory" to assist in planning and targeting their attacks, many of which are on civilians or involve mass civilian casualties.
microsoft's service agreements with the isr*eli military also includes the CPU responsible for the military's tech infrastructure, military intelligence units that develop spy technology used against palestinians and lebanese, the maintenance of the palestinian population registry that tracks and (illegally) limits the movement of palestinains in the west bank and gaza, their air force targeting database, and much more. they work closely with isr*eli military intelligence agencies on surveillance systems used to monitor palestians, provide specialized consulting, technical and engineering support, hosts training software for the IOF, provide financial support to organizations based in the illegally occupied west bank, and have repeatedly invested in isr*eli start ups specializing in war technology.
in 2020, internal and external pressure forced microsoft to pull out of its 74 million dollar investment in an isr*eli company that violated international law due to its use of facial recognition technology for military surveillance.
in 2021, microsoft signed a new, 3-year contract with the isr*eli ministry of defense worth $133 million dollars. the isr*eli military is microsoft's second largest military customer. the first? the united states.
you can read more (w/ sources) about microsoft's complicity here.
BDS asks us to boycott microsoft products whenever possible.
Tumblr media
microsoft is directly complicit in countless isr*eli war crimes, and the money you provide them will further proliferate this violence. i know the oblivion remake was exciting, but please, consider the lives of palestinians above your own nostalgia. no one is free until everyone is free.

LaRue Burbank, mathematician and computer, is just one of the many women who were instrumental to NASA missions.
4 Little Known Women Who Made Huge Contributions to NASA
Women have always played a significant role at NASA and its predecessor NACA, although for much of the agency’s history, they received neither the praise nor recognition that their contributions deserved. To celebrate Women’s History Month – and properly highlight some of the little-known women-led accomplishments of NASA’s early history – our archivists gathered the stories of four women whose work was critical to NASA’s success and paved the way for future generations.
LaRue Burbank: One of the Women Who Helped Land a Man on the Moon
LaRue Burbank was a trailblazing mathematician at NASA. Hired in 1954 at Langley Memorial Aeronautical Laboratory (now NASA’s Langley Research Center), she, like many other young women at NACA, the predecessor to NASA, had a bachelor's degree in mathematics. But unlike most, she also had a physics degree. For the next four years, she worked as a "human computer," conducting complex data analyses for engineers using calculators, slide rules, and other instruments. After NASA's founding, she continued this vital work for Project Mercury.
In 1962, she transferred to the newly established Manned Spacecraft Center (now NASA’s Johnson Space Center) in Houston, becoming one of the few female professionals and managers there.  Her expertise in electronics engineering led her to develop critical display systems used by flight controllers in Mission Control to monitor spacecraft during missions. Her work on the Apollo missions was vital to achieving President Kennedy's goal of landing a man on the Moon.
Eilene Galloway: How NASA became… NASA
Tumblr media
Eilene Galloway wasn't a NASA employee, but she played a huge role in its very creation. In 1957, after the Soviet Union launched Sputnik, Senator Richard Russell Jr. called on Galloway, an expert on the Atomic Energy Act, to write a report on the U.S. response to the space race. Initially, legislators aimed to essentially re-write the Atomic Energy Act to handle the U.S. space goals. However, Galloway argued that the existing military framework wouldn't suffice – a new agency was needed to oversee both military and civilian aspects of space exploration. This included not just defense, but also meteorology, communications, and international cooperation.
Her work on the National Aeronautics and Space Act ensured NASA had the power to accomplish all these goals, without limitations from the Department of Defense or restrictions on international agreements. Galloway is even to thank for the name "National Aeronautics and Space Administration", as initially NASA was to be called “National Aeronautics and Space Agency” which was deemed to not carry enough weight and status for the wide-ranging role that NASA was to fill.
Barbara Scott: The “Star Trek Nerd” Who Led Our Understanding of the Stars
Tumblr media
A self-described "Star Trek nerd," Barbara Scott's passion for space wasn't steered toward engineering by her guidance counselor. But that didn't stop her!  Fueled by her love of math and computer science, she landed at Goddard Spaceflight Center in 1977.  One of the first women working on flight software, Barbara's coding skills became instrumental on missions like the International Ultraviolet Explorer (IUE) and the Thermal Canister Experiment on the Space Shuttle's STS-3.  For the final decade of her impressive career, Scott managed the flight software for the iconic Hubble Space Telescope, a testament to her dedication to space exploration.
Dr. Claire Parkinson: An Early Pioneer in Climate Science Whose Work is Still Saving Lives
Tumblr media
Dr. Claire Parkinson's love of math blossomed into a passion for climate science. Inspired by the Moon landing, and the fight for civil rights, she pursued a graduate degree in climatology.  In 1978, her talents landed her at Goddard, where she continued her research on sea ice modeling. But Parkinson's impact goes beyond theory.  She began analyzing satellite data, leading to a groundbreaking discovery: a decline in Arctic sea ice coverage between 1973 and 1987. This critical finding caught the attention of Senator Al Gore, highlighting the urgency of climate change.
Parkinson's leadership extended beyond research.  As Project Scientist for the Aqua satellite, she championed making its data freely available. This real-time information has benefitted countless projects, from wildfire management to weather forecasting, even aiding in monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic. Parkinson's dedication to understanding sea ice patterns and the impact of climate change continues to be a valuable resource for our planet.

Can we get more info about the game??
You sure can. Considering we’re gonna upload it in. Checks Watch. 4 hours.
- We made the game using Ren’py, which is an incredibly beginner friendly software specifically build for making visual novels. We tried to keep the style/aesthetics close to Layton games but due to it’s limitations some things are a bit off, but hopefully nothing too dealbreaking!
- The game is about. Maybe 2 hours long? In our internal testing process we just skipped through dialogue/ jumped to the points that needed some work so I’m not really sure, but that’s how long it took our beta tester so I’ll go with that.
- Development started on the 20.02.2024. That sounds like a lot of time but we all unfortunately had lives outside of this project so more often than not we had some periods where no work was done. That’s also part of the reason this game releases one year late. Oops.
- Speaking of one year late! To no one’s surprise this game basically consists of fandom references and jokes. It just so happens that fandom changes incredibly fast, so some of the references you come across miiiight be a bit outdated. But if you’re a real tumblr Laytonhead you can point at things and go “hah! I remember that!”. And even if you don’t, there are still enough nods to the Layton games itself, so hopefully we got something for everyone!
- This game is possibly not what you’re expecting. I don’t wanna give too many details because I wouldn’t wanna spoil the surprise but as you might have guessed from the announcement post it’s gonna take place in the LHP Archives. And I’m sure nothing bad will happen.
- like I said before, we got puzzles! There aren’t that many and not all of them are required to progress, but I like to think that the ones we do have are very neat. And I’m not just saying that because I’m responsible for well over half of them. There are like 3 puzzles in total that aren’t mine. But also those puzzles were the bane of our existence. You haven’t known pain until you tried to incorporate a drag and drop system into Ren’Py.
- Lastly. This was the first project of this scale that any of us ever did. I haven’t programmed since my IT classes in school. So if you notice anything quirky. No you didn’t. We all start somewhere! All that matters is that this game was made with heart. And madness. Mostly madness.
Anyways. After all that I can give you some secret behind the scenes footage. And by that I mean screenshots from the dev team discord:

The Ranger's Legacy - Boothill x Reader | Part 1
Genre - Slow burn, flirting, potential romcom with some serious undertones. WIP.
Tumblr media
You leaned back in your chair, heaving a slow and weary sigh. The phone call had ended abruptly, your ever-returning client sounded like he was in shambles, his voice tired and raspy through the shoddy line. It had been roughly 3 years since his last visit, and in those 3 years, you had spent extensive time researching both the software and hardware around his complex computing system that made up his bodily autonomy.
Boothill wasn't someone to shy away from danger. He also wasn't the type to take impersonation kindly, apparently. And he would be in your office within moments if he didn't get sidetracked along the way.
You had just finished with a client, a young man with a severe case of mineral deficiency and fatigue when you heard chatter from the lobby area followed by doors slamming and the receptionist doing her best to keep the surprise visitor from making himself welcome in your office.
You sighed as the door was shoved open, a tall, seemingly slender man in a cowboy hat with ink-stained white hair stood in the doorway, the receptionist heaving from running after him.
"Put me in the bubble Doc, I need a rewire and a forkin' break after all the fun I've had to put up with. And make it hasty, yeah? My joints are achin' somethin' fierce. My dumbfork of a handgun jammed again and I can't be bothered to fix it myself. Doctors touch is magic, yeah?" Boothill grinned through sharp teeth, his gaze seemingly tender and kind even though you could see through the farce.
You gestured him to the back beyond the regular clinical area that was otherwise off-limits to other clients. You gave the receptionist an apologetic look and she nodded in understanding.
"I'll go ahead and reschedule your last appointment, they never called for a follow-up after their consultation so it wouldn't be a difficult phone call anyway." She said meekly.
"Thank you, Sandra, go ahead and close up for the day while you're at it. It's almost Happy Hour at the pub." You gave her a wink and Sandra beamed at your generosity, swift on her feet to close the door and make her way back to finish her tasks.
You turned around from the closed door, heaving a heavy sigh, and began to clean up the small area meant for regulars. Putting away the clipboard of patient notes and returning various basic med kit items to their designated shelves you tried not to think too much about the ongoing noise from the room further in. Opening a door labeled with "Off Limits to Staff and Patients" you took in the sight and crossed your arms.
Boothill sat in a chair, his hat and sache neatly placed on the side table as he was doing the initial work to disassemble his handgun, a literal firearm built into his left and right arms, a mechanical system that should be seamless if he took care of himself.
"You know, if you weren't so damn impatient and actually listened to me your body wouldn't be collapsing on itself." You said as you took over, grabbing his arm and adjusting the mechanical array of impressive technical work.
"Oh you wound me Doc. Why of course I listen to you, you're the only dang person on this shirt-stain of a planet with the intellect in both fancy doctorial business and technology with your uh, well whatever it is your title is anyway." He replied in earnest.
"I'm a general practice doctor, Boothill. And it just so happens, for your sorry ass anyway, that I used to work in the technological division of a certain organization we both choose to not acknowledge anymore. Now shut your mouth before I reset your vocal system as well."
"Oh Doc, you wouldn't do that. You're too kind to this rusty son-of-a-nice-lady. How have you been in the time since I've last been here? If I may add, your office looks like some real cow shirt."
You shot him a look without raising your head, garnering a light laugh from the Galaxy Ranger. As robotic as his appearance may be, his actions and personality were more human than some. He was still humble, if not a bit brash. There was a kindness to him beneath all the metal and bullet cases.
"Why the rush into the bubble? Didn't get enough rest in Penacony? You were there for a long while." You carefully placed the removed pistol onto the counter opposite where Boothill sat and began to look through drawers for wool and lubricant.
"I don't even know where to begin with that fork-fest. The lady who was impersonating me wound up being on the same dang team, call that a forkin' surprise, yeah? Aye, that there lube better not be generic, I ain't no simpleton."
You rolled your eyes as you uncapped the lubricant spray and doused the pistol evenly all over. "You know better than to question me Boothill, I'm the one who patches you up and cleans up your mess. And from the looks of it, you got rust building around the gears where your arm receptors patch in. Why haven't you been here sooner for maintenance? Slept like a baby in Penacony?"
Boothill sighed and leaned back in his seat, looking down at his disassembled arm. "Truth is Doc, I ain't been all that honest with ya. The Penacony trip was two years ago, whole mess that fork-fest was. But I got the dang fella who decimated my home, got the closure I needed to move on. But I ain't feel complete yet, like somethin' is missin' and I haven't found it. I've seen and done so many damn things but it ain't enough."
You sighed and sat on a stool and rolled the seat up to his side, taking his other arm and examining where the arm met the elbow. "You got your revenge that you've been so desperate to get, but you haven't thought about the after Boothill. You never think that far ahead either way."
"Oh well ain't you a smart-butt. I do have a plan."
"Yeah?"
"Fork yeah!"
"Tell me about this plan then."
"I... Well... I just-"
"For fucks sake Boothill, going around the cosmos and killing bad guys like some superhero isn't a plan!"
"Yes the fork it is!"
You dropped his arm and shot him a look. "No, it's not. You're not getting any younger Boothill. You need to move on. You need to retire, focus on preserving whatever humanity you have, and move on. The cosmos have their heroes, the new generation of Rangers are doing fine, the Nameless are doing fine."
"There are kids out there that need saving!" Boothill shouted, his hands balled into fists. "Families need help, children need homes, the forkin' IPC ain't doin' anybody any favors. We wouldn't be here if the world was such a fine and dandy place, Doc."
You knew firsthand that the topic of family and survival was a touchy subject for him. "You can't save everybody Boothill, try as you might, you'll just get yourself killed. If not from bullets then by fatigue. Whose gonna save you when you're down?"
"You, Doc." He forced a toothy grin and you couldn't help but chuckle. You took his elbow again, noting the small build-up of rust and worn-down metal where the joints connect. You've tried and failed many times to get Boothill to retire the badge, to relax and accept what life has dealt not just him, but countless others. He was more stubborn than a mule, and trying to convince him otherwise was like talking to a wall.
"You really wanna get in the bubble?" You asked him blankly.
"I got sand all in and around my joints and my wiring got stiff. I can't taste my liquor and my sense of smell is all over the place. Format me, Doc."
You rolled your eyes and got up, making your way to a pod-like capsule that connected to various parts of the ceiling. Its machinery and cable management were tidy, something you made sure of when Boothill came down to visit for maintenance. You took a wired tablet from the slot near the pod and began to swipe through menus, preparing the system for a routine maintenance.
He got up and began to undress the attire he typically had on, pilling it by his hat and sache before stepping inside the pod. His arms and legs slotted into their designated spots and he took a deep breath.
"I improved the system handling while you were gone. The removal process should go smoothly so you'll barely feel a thing." You spoke over the hum of the awakened capsule, its server coming alive as the pod lights flickered on and Boothill was immersed in a soft blue light.
"I sure as hell hope so, Doc." He rested his head back and closed his eyes. Four robot claws drew down from the top of the pod as the transparent door closed. You watched from outside as the four-pronged hands began to remove Boothills arms and legs, careful actions that closely mimicked your own. You heard a chuckle from the pod and glanced up at the only visible human feature Boothill had.
"I'll be damned Doc, this piece of short is smoother than last time. Dare I say better than your fancy hands!" He let out a hearty laugh that you couldn't help but smile at.
"It's been three years, I've had a lot of time to get this thing up to your bougie standards. Once your limbs are off it'll automatically get into cleaning your systems. You'll be out in less than an hour."
"The fork you callin' bougie?"
Tumblr media
Writing is hard but Hoolay is harder. Jkjk... I had this in the drafts since June and now that 2.7 is coming up I figured I'd dabble in finding some sorta conclusion. Who knows how long this'll be, but I hope y'all like it!

How I Scan Negatives
I've been doing film photography for 3 whole weeks so of course I am now an expert and you should toooooootally listen to me for my expert opinion on this matter.
But in seriousness, this post isn't meant to be a how-to guide, but if you can glean some useful information from it, that's really neat and I'm glad.
Part 1: The Scanner
There are a couple different ways to scan negatives. The simplest is known as camera scanning, and that just means you use some kind of backlight and take a close-up picture of a negative with a digital camera of some kind.
I've done a couple of scans like this but since it ideally relies on a macro lens, something which costs about $300 at a bare minimum, and more if you want one that's actually, yknow, good. Also, camera scanning inherently limits you to one picture at a time.
So my scanner is a flatbed Epson "Perfection" V600. I purchased this scanner because it is the least expensive flatbed scanner you can find that also does transparencies. It can scan 12 35mm negatives or two 6x9cm 120 negatives at a time. The Perfection V850 can do a full 36 exposure roll of 35mm but costs 4.33x as much.
So this thing is fine.
Tumblr media
The first step is to cut my negatives up. This isn't as horrifying as it sounds. I have binder pages that hold 6 6-exposure strips, so a full roll of 35mm (which i will from here on out refer to with the slightly antiquated but slightly faster to type "135") takes up a single page.
Next, I mount them in the handy negative mounting frame that Epson provides, and put it in the scanner.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now we can move on to the actual scanning.
Part 2: Scanning Software
This is, without a shadow of a doubt, the most irritating part of the whole ordeal. There's lots of decent scanning software out there, but there's fewer options for really good scanning software. Most of the "automatic" stuff sucks at being automatic so I end up doing most of it manually.
The scanner comes with the inventively named "Epson Scan," which is a very competent program if you want to scan and don't care about dust and scratches on your film. That is because I have yet to figure out what combination of options actually gets it to properly remove dust and scratches. This is mandatory, because I do not have $10,000 to spend on an industrial-grade negative pressure ventilation system for my bathroom/processing lab. Dust is avoidable, but ultimately inescapable.
The ins and outs of dust and scratch removal are interesting but not interesting enough for me to do a deep dive on them. The very short version is that the scanner scans every frame twice, once with visible light and once with infrared, and overlays the information from these to get rid of dust and scratches.
So instead of using the admittedly competent pack-in software, I opted to purchase SilverFast 9 SE. I paid $49 USD for this because I could not find a cracked version of the full-featured "HDR Suite" version and, frankly, i haven't missed the additional features.
SilverFast has a wizard option (Do they still call it that?) that walks you through the various steps of scanning. I haven't used it since my first roll.
The first step is to do a "pre-scan", which just scans the whole thing at a low resolution so you can pick the frames out of the lineup.
Tumblr media
This is my screen at this point. The first step is to draw around the individual frames. This takes about 5-10 minutes depending on how anal i'm being about framing and overscan.
Tumblr media
Now that i've let the computer pick the frames to save time for demonstration purposes manually picked my frames its time to boost the scan resolution from a postage-stamp 300 pixels per inch to an actually-usable 3200. You'll also note that i'm scanning these as "positives" rather than negatives. The "negative" scan option adds something called "Negafix" that i cannot turn off and that tries to color-correct for the negative stock's film base color. It is monumentally bad at this unless your stock is pre-loaded in its database which, as far as I can tell, hasn't been updated since 2005. We'll deal with that later though.
Tumblr media
Now that we have the basic setting defined we go over to the "frame" menu seen above and copy these settings to all frames. I could set them manually, but copying settings over is the one thing this software is good at doing automatically. This may have something to do with the fact that it is essentially copy-and-paste, which you may recognize as a basic feature of every computer since 1987.
Tumblr media
Occasionally, and unpredictably, the scanning software will turn on "Unsharp Masking." The wikipedia page on this option will explain it. I will not, because my contempt for the option rivals my contempt for the Republican Party, The Catholic Church, and Portland's insistence on driving 5 below the limit on the highway. I turn it off and if I could i would find whoever invented this option and eat their dog.
Tumblr media
Once that is turned off we get to turn on the most beautiful option that SilverFast 9 SE has to offer, iSRD. iSRD is the previously-mentioned scratch-and-dust removal.
Tumblr media
I have found that, in this one instance, the automatic settings are completely acceptable to me. They eliminate most of the really problematic dust in high-detail areas. The hairs and dust that gets left behind is usually easy to deal with via clone stamp later.
Now that the boring stuff is out of the way we get to the tedious, yet, to me at least, fun part. Histogram adjustment!
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
What you're seeing here is a histogram, its a graphical representation of the brightness of an image. Our goal with this is to maximize the dynamic range of the image. All that blank space to the right of the "mountains" (and some of the "lowlands" on the left) need to be eliminated so that the file can use as much of the bandwidth they have for actual useful image file stuff. This is pretty simple. We just slide those little arrows until they bound the mountains better.
Tumblr media
Once we do this we can check the output histogram and see how it's mapped all the image data to the full bandwidth.
Tumblr media
This has to be done individually per-frame, since each frame is slightly different.
Now that's done we can actually scan. I use the "Batch Scan" function, which scans everything one-after-the-other. I'm not going to show the dialog windows because 1.) its boring and 2.) I don't want to reconfigure the save path the way I did for the above images. It's a privacy thing.
After we've scanned everything its time to move on to...
Part 3: Color Grading
This is the part you've never heard about before. It's the most involved, and the most important, and it's worth getting into why.
Computers are amazing at storing information, at sorting information, at rearranging and processing information, but they are fundementally incapable of the most important part of dealing with information, assigning meaning.
I'm sure a lot of folks are going to be very very angry at me for saying that, but I actually don't care, and what's more, I'm confident the computer scientists I know will agree with me.
Film is better at storing images than computers. Period, this is a physical fact. The amount of dynamic range and resolution contained in film exceeds the ability of computers to contain it completely. So scanning is always going to be about compromises. You're trying to maximize the amount of useful information you can see by eliminating as much of the un-useful information as you can. But the computer doesn't actually know what is and isn't useful, so we have to tell it.
In order to do this, we use image editing software. I know a lot of photographers who swear by Photoshop, but fuck Adobe, and I know a lot of photographers who love GIMP, but GIMP's user interface is so convoluted as to be detrimental to my purposes. So I use Paint.NET, which is Windows-only, a fact which is sure to get me hate mail from several users including one of my best friends. (Sorry, Murder*.)
Tumblr media
Here we have an unaltered** negative. There's a bit of overscan you can see on the left side of the image, and obviously its currently in portrait orientation. Before we go any further, I'm going to fix both of these things.
I like to crop my negatives in a 3:2 ratio. This is the natural aspect ratio of 135 film, and i like that similitude. Paint.NET lets me set a fixed aspect ratio for selections, which is nice
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now that the overscan has been cropped out and the picture is rotated properly, we can invert the image to a positive, and here is where it will become apparent to you exactly why color grading is important, and why there's no such thing as an "pure scan".
Tumblr media
Wow! That's very...blue? Well, yes, it is. Color negative film mostly has an orange base. This helps compensate for shortcomings in the dyes used, and those shortcomings are why we have to color grade. The next step I take is to open the "levels" controls, where you'll see our old friend, the histogram!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This histogram looks different, but it's the same basic concept, with the difference that this program lets me adjust red, green, and blue individually. You'll also note that the individual RGB histograms broadly look similar, just out of sync. This is because of the orange base. They won't always look that similar, and in this case it's largely because the sky was overcast that day and there's a large amount of gray in the entire image.
We're going to adjust the input histogram first. Here, our goal is to map the maximum amount of dynamic range possible to the final image. Color balance is not yet important. So we slide the little arrows up and down from the top and bottom so that as much of them fill the output histogram as possible without clipping.
What is clipping? Clipping is when the black or white levels "blow out". Some clipping is acceptable in some images. A bright, sunny day will invariably have some clipping, and if you go out of your way to avoid it the image will look weird and flat. But in a picture like this where everything is muted and gray, we want to avoid it.
Tumblr media
Clipping, by the way, looks like this, and is why i don't let the computer automatically adjust the level balance. Some people like this look with the deep black shadows, I do not.
But, onto doing it the Proper*** way
Tumblr media
You can see the image is looking a lot better, but it still has a notably off color cast to the image. Its kind of green. Now we can move on to adjusting the output histogram. There's two ways to deal with this. We can adjust the input red, but this will result in highlight clipping. I actually don't mind highlight clipping as much, and in this case we have several red lights in the image both on the BMW and the crossing gate, so we're going to adjust that input histogram.
Truthfully, I should have thought of this before picking this image to do a demonstration on, but at this point its too late to turn back, and like I keep saying, this isn't a "how-to" guide.
Tumblr media
So we still have a bit of a color cast, but its (mostly) in the midtones. Now it's time to bring out our secret weapon: gray balance, also known as neutral point or gray point.
Tumblr media
That middle slider can be adjusted for red, green, and blue independently, and that's exactly what we're going to do.
Tumblr media
This looks, for the most part, very good. I'll probably go back and tweak the gray points in the red and green a bit more, and i often go through these steps 2-3 times, repeating with finer adjustments before finally confirming the changes.
Truthfully, I don't remember if the BMW was pure white or eggshell white, so i'm going to err on the side of "eggshell" because the rest of the image looks weirder if i adjust for that white to be "pure".
And now, Voila! A fully color-graded image.
Tumblr media
Does it look exactly like it did IRL? No, not quite, but again, scanning is all about compromise. I'm sure someone with more experience could do a better job than me, but the point here isn't to show you how to make things perfect, it's to show how I, Ivy Michaels do this.
If you made it through this far, congratulations! I love you! I hope you found this interesting. Thanks for reading <3
*Murder is e's actual name.
** i have censored the license plate of the 25-year-old BMW in my shot out of privacy concerns. It is not my car, and i do not know the owner. The negative has not been cropped, rotated, inverted, or graded in any way. Only the license plate has been removed by select-and-stretch. *** Despite my repeated slides into "we/us" language, this is not a how-to and is not intended to be a statement of objective correctness. It is "correct" in the sense of "correct to my personal workflow"

On Major Milestones
I left off previously with init immediately crashing when trying to run NetBSD on Wrap030, my 68030 homebrew computer. I was completely lost and didn't know where to start looking. The error code it gave, 11, didn't tell me much.
Until now, most error codes I've gotten have been defined in kernel errno.h, which has 11 defined as:
EDEADLK 11 /* Resource deadlock avoided */
That … also isn't helpful. I'm still not entirely sure what that means, but since this is process 1 we're dealing with, I didn't think it was relevant.
Finally, I was able to find someone who had encountered the same error six years ago. Helpful soul [Martin] explained the exact cause of the error, how to fix it, and why the kernel errno didn't line up:
Tumblr media
I'm running a NetBSD live disk on a laptop as a test host, so I mounted my disk on it and spent some time with mknod adding the essential device nodes, referencing the "majors" file for my arch. Sure enough, on next boot it skipped right past the point it had been panicking. It worked for a bit then finally printed on the console:
Enter pathname o
Enter pathname of what? The machine appeared frozen. Nothing further printed, and it responded to no input.
I was afraid this would happen. That string is 16 characters. The 16C55x UART chips I'm using have a 16-byte buffer. The system is hung up waiting for the UART to interrupt to indicate it has finished transmitting everything in its buffer.
There's just one problem — I don't have any serial interrupts wired.
I have a confession to make. Until a few weeks ago when I got my timer working, I hadn't really worked with hardware interrupts before. So between a limited understanding of how to use them effectively and limited board space, I had omitted the interrupt signals from my 8-port serial card. This was now a Problem, and I was going to have to find a solution.
I had a few options:
Force the com driver to 8250 mode so it doesn't try to use the buffers
Use my timer interrupt to check status bits on the UARTs and fake the interrupts
Deadbug an interrupt handler onto my serial card
Respin the serial card
Option 4 would've been expensive and risked passing my deadline. I wasn't sure option 1 would even help. And option 3 would have been difficult and error-prone. I decided option 2 would be the way to go so I set about researching how to accomplish it
I spent a few hours digging through the com driver. In the process I found softintr(9), a native NetBSD software interrupt process that looked like just the thing I needed. Digging in a little deeper, I realized that the com driver was already using softintr. And then I realized all it needed to do polled mode serial ports instead of interrupt-driven was to set a single variable, sc_poll_ticks, before initializing the driver. It's such a simple thing, but it's not really documented anywhere I could find, so the only way to know it was even an option was to spend hours studying the code.
With that in place, I recompiled my kernel and tried again.
Tumblr media
It was asking for a shell. This is promising. I accepted the default shell, /bin/sh, and waited a moment. It printed a single #.
I had a shell prompt.
Tumblr media
I typed in the first thing that came to mind, echo "hellorld" (thanks, [Usagi]). It responded:
hellorld
and printed another # prompt.
I had a working shell.
Tumblr media
This is a major milestone. I have a modern operating system kernel loaded and running on my homebrew computer, and I have a functional root shell. I can navigate disk directories and run commands and programs.
But only as root, and only on this one console. I have seven other serial ports I want terminals on, and I certainly don't want them all running as root.
What it's running here is single-user mode. It is just the kernel and a few core services, somewhat analogous to Safe Mode in Windows. It's a fall-back for setting up or repairing a system. It's not quite the full operating system just yet.
Getting the rest of the operating system up and running is going to be a significant task, on par with getting just the kernel running. Setting up a working Unix system from scratch is not easy. It requires a lot of detailed knowledge of the various programs and libraries and config files scattered across the disk. For a sense of scale, the AT&T Unix System V manual was over 1100 pages, plus an 800 page programmer's guide and a handful of other manuals … and that was 40 years ago. That's a lot of specialized knowledge that I don't really have.
But still, this is something I've wanted to do for years and after countless hours of work, I finally have a glimpse of what it can look like. I have a lot to learn and a lot of work to do yet, but I'm certain I can figure it out.
I'm still hoping I can get this running multi-user on all those terminals in time for VCF Southwest in June. The show is just a few weeks away and I have a lot of work to do.

It's been a month since chapter 3 was released, where's chapter 4?
(this is about this fanfic btw)
The good news is that I've written 10k words. The bad news is that I've only gotten a little more than half of the chapter done. That doesn't mean I don't have things written for the bottom half, it's just that it looks like bare dialog with general vibe notes. I estimate around 16k words total though, so it should come together sooner than later.
SO I want to release some fun snippets for y'all to look at. Please note that any of this is liable to change. Also, you can harass me in my inbox for updates. I love answering your questions and laughing at your misery.
Spoilers under cut.
_______
Ragatha stood up and walked over to where Caine was seated. “Can I get a list of all commands?” She asked, only a hint of nervousness in her voice.
“Certainly!” Caine says as he blasts into the air. He digs around in his tailcoat and pulls out an office style manilla folder. It visually contains a few papers, but with how thin it is there must only be a few pages inside.
Ragatha takes the folder from Caine and opens it.
“Oh boy” she says after a second of looking it over.
“I wanna see” Jax exclaimed as he hops over the row of seats.
“Hold on” Ragatha holds the folder defensively “Let’s move to the stage so everyone can take a look”
Jax hopped over the seats again while Ragatha calmly walked around. Caine watched the two curiously.
Well, Zooble wasn’t just going to sit there. They joined the other two by the edge of the stage, quickly followed by the rest of the group.
Ragatha placed the folder on the stage with a thwap. Zooble looked over to see that the pages had gone from razor thin to a massive stack when the folder was opened. On one hand, it had to contain more information than that video, but on the other…
They get close enough to read what’s on the first page.
The execution of commands via the system’s designated input terminal, C.A.I.N.E., will be referred to as the "console” in this document. The console is designed to accept any input and will generate an appropriate response, however only certain prompts will be accepted as valid instructions. The goal of this document is to list all acceptable instructions in a format that will result in the expected output. Please note that automatic moderation has been put in place in order to prevent exploitation of both the system and fellow players. If you believe that your command has been unfairly rejected, please contact support.
By engaging in the activities described in this document, you, the undersigned, acknowledge, agree, and consent to the applicability of this agreement, notwithstanding any contradictory stipulations, assumptions, or implications which may arise from any interaction with the console. You, the constituent, agree not to participate in any form of cyber attack; including but not limited to, direct prompt injection, indirect prompt injection, SQL injection, Jailbreaking…
Ok, that was too many words.
_______
“Take this document for example. You don't need to know where it is being stored or what file type it is in order to read it."
"It may look like a bunch of free floating papers, but technically speaking, this is just a text file applied to a 3D shape." Kinger looked towards Caine. "Correct?” he asked
Caine nodded. “And a fabric simulation!”
Kinger picked up a paper and bent it. “Oh, now that is nice”
_________
"WE CAN AFFORD MORE THAN 6 TRIANGLES KINGER"
_________
"I'm too neurotypical for this" - Jax
_________
"What about the internet?" Pomni asked "Do you think that it's possible to reach it?"
Kinger: "I'm sorry, but that's seems to be impossible. I can't be 100% sure without physically looking at the guts of this place, but it doesn't look like this server has the hardware needed for wireless connections. Wired connections should be possible, but someone on the outside would need to do that... And that's just the hardware, let alone the software necessary for that kind of communication"
Pomni: "I'm sorry, but doesn't server mean internet? Like, an internet server?"
Kinger: "Yes, websites are ran off servers, but servers don't equal internet."
(This portion goes out to everyone who thought that the internet could be an actual solution. Sorry folks, but computers don't equal internet. It takes more effort to make a device that can connect to things than to make one that can't)

The MS-07B Gouf
In preparation for the invasion of Earth, Zeon forces modified a number of MS-06 Zaku-II F-types for use under the effects of the planet's gravity. The new "J-type" Zaku-IIs featured a number of internal hardware and software changes to enhance their viability on the ground.
The Zaku-II J-Type would be used as a testbed for new developments with the goal of creating a new mass-production mobile suit for use on the ground. And where the Zaku was intended for anti-ship and anti-aerospace combat, this new platform would be built to fight other mobile suits.
Zimmad and Zeonic would both begin working on this new project, directly competing with one another, but eventually coming up with very similar designs. Zeonic moved forward with the YMS-07A Prototype Gouf, and Zimmad presented the YMS-08A High Mobility Test Type.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While Zimmad's design failed to show a significant increase in performance from the Zaku-II J-Type, Zeonic's "Gouf" showed immense promise. The prototype would be picked up and would see a limited production run as the MS-07A Gouf.
Tumblr media
The MS-07A was a pre-production model intended for data gathering. The final mass-production model would feature several additional weapon systems, such as an in-built 75mm machine gun in the left manipulator, and a retractable "Heat Rod" on the left forearm.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Gouf was used to great effect by Zeon captain Ramba Ral, who went toe-to-toe with the Earth Federation's infamous RX-78-2 Gundam.
Tumblr media
Among the Ace pilots who used the Gouf as their personal units, Viche Donahue, Silas Locke, and Norris Packard were among the most well-known. All three of these aces would become battlefield legends, with Packard's MS-07B-3 Gouf Custom becoming especially infamous. The machine's equipment proved so effective that it became a common alternate loadout for many Gouf pilots.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The MS-07 would be customized for a variety of roles and theaters, with many of these variants seeing further developments of their own.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Notable among these was the MS-07W Gouf Combined Test Type, which featured a miniaturized Dopp fighter serving as its cockpit. The development of the machine was heavily influenced by data gathered from the Federation's RX-series of mobile suits. Namely, their "Core Block" system.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Gouf would also see another fork, being developed into the MS-07H Gouf Flight Type. While both prototypes made use of thermonuclear rocket engines, the final version used thermonuclear jet engines, allowing for greater efficiency in atmospheric flight.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The MS-07B saw further refinement into the MS-07C. While not much is known about its specifications, there are at least three known variants. A number of Goufs were acquired by Zimmad and used as testbeds for systems to be incorporated into the MS-09 Dom series of mobile suits. These Goufs were MS-07Cs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And finally, in UC 120, nearly 50 years from the initial deployment of the original machine, Mars Zeon would develop and deploy the OMS-07RF RF Gouf. While externally resembling the MS-07B, the OMS-07-RF was a completely new machine which could also operate in space, unlike its predecessors.
Tumblr media
The MS-07B Gouf was originally designed by Kunio Okawara for the 1979 Anime "Mobile Suit Gundam".
This article was a request! Requests are always welcome!
I am so terribly sorry for the delay in getting this post out! It's been a very hectic few months, but I'm hoping to get back in the flow of things!

F-Zero 99 - 1 Year Anniversary and the Future
Tumblr media
F-Zero 99 is the best thing that happened to Nintendo Switch Online.
I'm not gonna say it any other way, it's been a bit more than a year, and I have 153 hours. This game is top 2 of my most played games (just under Splatoon 3 which has 253 hours).
I was one of the people who was down for this idea since the moment Pyoro teased it and when Nintendo announced it in the September 2023 Nintendo Direct.
This game received 6 content updates since its debut, and most of them are major updates, and as of October 2024, the latest update was 1.5.0, with the addition of the Ace League, making it the first time that Nintendo has ever rereleased Satellaview content in any way, worldwide.
I gotta be honest here, this game keeps on giving, Nintendo Software Technology, the team behind this game, not Arika anymore, is doing a great job.
I'm gonna talk about how I felt about this game, but also a bit of an history of datamining, about the game's future, but spoiler: I don't think this game will die anytime soon.
Happy One Year Anniversary to F-Zero 99!
Oh, and, to everyone saying this game is pissing on F-Zero's legacy as I've definitely seen a few: Go f**k yourself.
Online Quality
To anyone who loves to mock the online quality of Nintendo, you cannot do it to this game, or even any of the games of the "99" series. If you have online problems, the problem is on your side. 100%.
Either your connection's terrible in which case I cannot do anything for you, but most of the problems that I had with the game, it was all solved with either a fix of my internet connection setup (cables, Wi-Fi setup, etc), or by rebooting the Switch system entirely, this is most likely what you need to do the most.
It's not entirely perfect of course, but for the entire year of its existence, I have legit no serious complaints to make to the game.
Datamining The Future
Now... let's go over what we originally datamined at first.
I'm not gonna go over what was clearly experimental content such as a 3D Mute City I map or other things like that.
Extra Modes
We found code and references to 2 modes that have yet to be added to the game since launch:
Arcade Mode It is believed to work similar to old arcade racing games, where you have a limited time, and you go through Time Gates (also datamined) to add more time to your counter to let you either finish the course, or run out of time and rank out.
Survival Mode We found some references to it for the schedule file, but also what is feeling like to be a circle plane. I speculate it to maybe work like a battle royale where the playable place reduces in size, but it's hard to fully understand how it works at this point in time.
I have no idea when these modes would be added, if ever, actually, it's still subject to interpretation.
Extra Courses
We also found references to 4 placeholder course files:
Sulfur Swamp
Volcania
Fungus Swamp
Forest
Three of them uses recolored Mute City I and a custom but clearly placeholder background. But the inclusion of Forest placeholder was definitely an odd one.
It was actually hard to say what it could have been, but Forest is actually the name of a course in BS F-Zero Grand Prix 2 on Satellaview, and more to that, it's the name of a course that we never actually had recovered until the recent BS F-Zero Deluxe hack that used tons of tools in an attempt to reproduce them. We still don't have the original data yet, though. The bounty for that is still up, by the way.
I did definitely get my chances to suspect that maybe, NST was looking into Satellaview tracks, alongside brand new tracks, but maybe that Forest was just also a placeholder name.
But considering the inclusion of Ace League now, I doubt it is a coincidence. Especially when they bothered to have pretty creative names for the others, Forest just sticks out from the rest for being a pretty generic word, an argument that I had already used back then.
But I also noticed something odd, though, on this one I will DEFINITELY give an update if they ever fix this, but the Ace League's best machine ranks are not saved in the stats. This is odd, I don't know if it's a bug, or if it's actually voluntary... because IF it is, then I think the Ace League will change in the future to include the rest of the Satellaview tracks alongside a new Joker (?) League.
UPDATE from October 16th: F-Zero 99 1.5.1 update just released, and they did fix this so I was just doing copium. Not that I didn't expect it, it was a very shaky thing.
In one of the updates, before the inclusion of Secret Tracks, we had seen what was named Death Wind I Remix, which was the Death Wind I + White Land fusion. It's not unlikely that in the future, we will receive what would be called Remix tracks, for possibly entire leagues, but we might need to wait a while before we get those.
Incoming Event?
As NST is definitely aware of datamining attempts, they have been actually pretty busy scrubbing every unused files related to future content especially.
But then they missed a file in the latest 1.5.0 update that added Ace League:
It seems they are looking into doing a Mario VS Donkey Kong Festival Event in the future, including a Mini Mario League, and 4 Star Rivals called Mario, Mini Mario, Donkey Kong and Toad.
There's not much else to it, as it is just text. This text was not localized in most languages from English.
If I had to guess though, I don't rule out that this event might happen for the anniversary of the Mario VS Donkey Kong remake in February 2025. Mario VS Donkey Kong was also the baby of NST, ever since the first of the series on GBA, so it might just be meant to be a fun thing they wanted to do.
I would expect the Mini Mario League to contain either brand new or modified existing tracks to a newer style related to Mario VS Donkey Kong, new music, possibly new machines, and, definitely to me, new emotes to unlock. I expect that to be a limited time event like the others, though what you unlock will definitely stay to your workshop, like previous events, and possibly Training mode if there's indeed new courses to play that they care enough to let us play after the event.
I wouldn't be surprised if we have to collect Mini Marios or something like that, but either way, it seems NST is trying to be a little more daring to F-Zero 99 and possibly follow the footsteps of Tetris 99's themes.
Depending on the situation of the Ace League machine stats, I might have to update this post if I really somehow went too far with my suspicions. (UPDATE: Yes I went too far, they fixed the bug with 1.5.1.)
I do expect more updates related to Ace League for sure, as I do think we'll get Classic versions of the Ace League tracks, and possibly Mirror versions too.
...but oh my god though there's freaking Satellaview tracks in F-Zero 99 omg omg omg we just need the 5 left now

A scene from a ghost in the shell that latched on to my brain and refused to let go
So, bit of a tangent under the cut, nothing to do with the fic lol
I switched over from an iPad pro with procreate to a Samsung tablet and lemme tell you I have WORDS
It's been ages since I owned Samsung anything, I've been balls-deep in the Apple ecosystem for like a decade, and then I got a gaming laptop and realized how shitty imacs were. Then I got a Samsung tablet and realized how shitty ipads are. Procreate is a great drawing app when you're somebody who's never used a professional program to draw and is just getting into the digital art space. Or if you're someone who draws casually, but would like the power to draw professionally and doesn't want a computer/drawing tablet set up. It's a great meet-in-the-middle kind of thing, but the brushes are kind of ass,
(Yes I know you can import brushes, yes I know photoshop brushes are also compatible, yes I know all the settings you can customize for your brushes. The experience is still ASS, and it has a bit to do with ipads filing system, and a bit to do with procreates confusing windows, because you can't actually just download a brush and go, you have to (and this depends on what browser you're using) download them, drag them to an appropriate folder within your ipads files app, unload them, then drag the over to your procreate app, then spend 15 minutes figuring out if procreate made a new folder for them or stuck it in an already existing one.)
the smudge tool high key sucks, the whole app engagement being gestures/icons and not buttons was kind of annoying at best, and straight up caused me to lose hours of work at worst. You have to really fennangle with the app and it's gazillion settings to set it up just right so that it works for you, which is fine. Every app has a learning curve, Photoshop is the same way and that's the industry standard.
But I'm not a professional artist, and ipads are kind of really fucking expensive to buy just for procreate.
And then there's the "how the fuck do you save/back up your art" issue. IpadOS does have a files system, but it's genuinely the worst to navigate, the tagging system barely works, renamimg and sorting stuff is annoying to do, and the search feature doesnt work half the time. Procreate has no option to save (auto or not) anything anywhere, it all stays on the app, and files can get pretty big to just leave them on there. Not to mention if something goes wrong, something gets corrupted, there's no way to restore anything. Once it's gone, it's gone. If you want to back anything up you have to manually, one by one, bring the files over from procreate to the files app, then from the files app to a computer of your choice (and then from there to a hard drive if you want) because guess what, you can't plug a hard drive directly to your ipad, and you can't stick a micro USB in there either. The process of moving my art from my ipad files to my windows laptop was a fresh kind of hell I wouldn't wish upon anyone. Now, I've only had this happen to me once in the 8 years I've had procreate, but there is a very real chance that with an ipad software update procreate will just kill itself and all your art with it. I've since learned to back everything up before my ipad decides to auto update, despite me turning off auto updates.
Ipads also give you no other option than procreate to draw. Yes, ibis paint and auto desk and like 3 other apps are on the app store, but they are ass anus on the iPad, especially in comparison to procreate. They're laggy, they lack a lot of key features, they have ads plastered everywhere, (which you can pay to take those away, but it doesn't really make the app any better), and there's no flexibility with brushes and textures and layers or just anything you'd really need.
The ipad itself kind of sucks too. It's pretty limited in what you can do with it given all the power the pros especially have. There's a video by dankpods on YouTube that explains it better than I can but for something that's trying to be a laptop replacement, it seriously sucks at it. All throughout college I used my ipad for note-taking, projects, assignments, and just general school work, but please don't be me and get yourself an actual laptop. The only thing my ipad was good for was note taking, and that was only because the app notability auto saved all my notes to my Google drive. That's it. The native notes app SUCKS. Multitasking on the ipad? Ass. Researching? Ass. Writing papers? Ass. Hell even the picture in picture thing was so annoying to get working and move out of the way enough to get other stuff done too. I really did try to do everything on there, it was easier and lighter to carry around, but I ended up grabbing my laptop for everything anyways. Ipads are good for watching movies here and there, maybe doodling, taking notes, but that is ALL they're good for.
Side note: I'm Bilingual, and that thing ios does where it changes the language of my keyboard whenever it just assumes I need it is actually so annoying, and I haven't found a way to stop it from doing that outside of just deleting the other keyboards.
The Apple pencil isn't getting away from this rant either. I'll scream this from the top of my lungs, the only reason the Apple pencil costs as much as it does is because it's the ONLY pen you can get for the ipad for drawing. NOTHING ELSE WILL WORK. NOTHING ELSE WILL GIVE YOU PRESSURE SENSITIVITY/TILT SUPPORT. and I personally think that's an incredibly evil scam. Apple can get away with charging whatever they want for the Apple pencil, which is truly no better than the Wacom bamboo one I got for my Samsung, because they've designed in such a way that only they can make their stuff compatible. It's so stupid. $1200 usd for an ipad and the damn thing doesn't even come with the stupid ass pen.
Side side note: scribble or whatever it's called, that thing where you can write with the Apple pencil and it turns it into text? Genuine booty with the Apple pencil/ipad, it's so useless I forget that it's even an option. It takes forever to think what it was that you wrote, even if you have beautiful handwriting. Its laggy, and inaccurate, the auto correct drives me nuts. And good luck trying to use it with any other language that isn't English.
Samsung has the same feature, and so far I've had ZERO issues with it. It goes letter by letter rather than word by word like the ipad does, it's so much better at accurately typing what I wrote, there virtually no lag, and it works just as well with other languages.
I've had my Samsung tablet for about 2 months, and it was, one, cheaper! The screen and colors are beautiful, krita and infinite painter are great drawing apps (the sketch posted here was done in infinite painter) the tablet CAME WITH A PEN, which admittedly was kinda shit for drawing specifically, but i got another one because there are other options!!! Other affordable well working options!!! Infinite painter and krita save backups of your art locally! AND I can both stick a micro USB AND a hard drive in it! It runs smoother than my ipad ever did, taking notes on it is a much smoother experience, apps are more diverse, and multitasking works so much better. I also think the aspect ratio of Samsung tablets make more sense for art/creative works than the ipads since it's more monitor/computer screen shaped but that's just me.
Side side side note: you have to charge the Apple pencil to use it at all, and the only way to store it is on the charger, which makes the pencil hot if actively charging, and ruins the battery capacity over time. I've had my 2nd gen apple pencil for about 4 years, (I had the Apple pencil 1st gen for the same amount of time before that) and the battery has depleted a bit, though it still lasts a pretty long time. They do last a good day or two with little use off the charger, and about 6 hours of constant use be it note taking or drawing. I havent had too many issues with finding it dead and having to wait for it to charge, it charges pretty fast, but it still happens.
The Samsung s pen doesn't need to be charged to work. It has a battery, but you only need it for the Bluetooth features like gesture and whatnot, but I don't use them at all, so I don't charge it since the placement of the charger is awkward. But it doesn't matter cause it works anyways. Same with the Wacom pen I bought with it! It doesn't charge at all it just works!
Moral of the story; if youre a professional artist and you have the money/want a portable option, power to you get an ipad. Not a professional artist? Don't wanna spend that money? Get literally anything else.

Corner Talk about in Regards to PB's Announcement in Sharing Paid Contents
So, at this point everyone has read the recent announcement PrettyBusy has posted in regards to sharing ANY paid content. For the full announcement you can access it here but for those that just wants a sweet, small summary, it's essentially them taking legal action on anyone who:
Share any DATAMINE of PAID characters
Share any of the PAID characters FULL story, chats, etc.
So, they still allow players to share parts/bits and pieces of the paid content, just not all of it.
Though it seems like everyone can understand the whole business side of things, there's still confusion on the datamine aspect as in how is datamining is illegal, why is there legal action taken against datamining, etc.
First, I feel like people need to understand that datamining, itself, it NOT illegal. The problem is sharing datamines publicly on any social media. The reasons are for the following
Intellectual Property Rights: when companies release games, all of their contents are protected by trademarks, copyrights, and intellectual property laws. When posting content that company didn't share themselves on their own social media page or to EVERYONE (both F2P and P2W), it's infringing copyright laws since the one sharing it wasn't the one to have produced/created the work or data (think of it reposting artists work without their permission but you're sharing a work that was put in by artists and game creators of the company without their permission).
Terms of Service Violation: Many software applications, websites, and digital platforms impose terms of service (ToS) that users must agree to before using their services. These ToS often prohibit activities like reverse engineering, data scraping, or extracting data in a manner that circumvents the intended use of the service. By datamining and posting content obtained in violation of these terms, you are breaching a contractual agreement between yourself and the platform, which can lead to legal consequences.
Security: there are certain codes and firewalls set up that many (if not ALL) game companies put in as a means to detect if there is any malicious activity happening within the system that could potential harm the players (e.g., hacking and extracting players' personal information). When datamining, most people aren't aware in what form these protective barriers are set-up, so when extracting contents from the game, rather than being seen as simply getting contents for one's amusement, it can be detected as a threat by the security system.
What I wrote are only snippets of the few reasons as to the legal concerns in sharing datamine contents. And despite for other fandoms, it's not as prevalent, game companies are starting to take up action in regards to datamining, some being obvious about it while others are being discreet.
However, if we were talking about solely on the announcement, it's understandable why it would bother players, especially F2P. For other games (not saying ALL or MOST), they do eventually make the paid content accessible at some point for F2P without having to make them wait for so long. However, PB isn't taking much initiative with that, where now they're adding characters from the Solomon Seals after 3 MONTHS while, for now, not letting F2P have ANY ACCESS to limited characters from Nightmare Pass. To top that off, previously PB had promised re-runs of events, which would've allowed newer F2P to have a chance to play the event and obtain resources/characters from it. But now they have their previous events accessible behind paywall, decreasing the likelihood for event re-runs to happen. As for P2W, players are literally paying to get the character and related contents related to said character so there shouldn't be much restrictions in sharing their paid content on public platforms in the first place (this is not to say they should disrespect PB and share everything though). This is without mentioning some of the promises that have already broken based on the announcement earlier this year and last month (?) (Main story drop every 2 months, Friendship System, Comics related to Cards being posted on their Social Media, etc.).
Hopefully PB will reconsider and address some of these issues with the upcoming event for Bethel and Belphegor dropping on 6/26.

Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency announced this week that it discovered large batches of unused software licenses as it continues to hunt for examples of waste in Washington. On Monday, DOGE alleged that the General Services Administration has 37,000 licenses for the file compression and encryption tool WinZip, even though the agency has only about 13,000 employees. “Fixes are actively in work,” the team wrote on Musk’s social media site X. It later alleged similar overspending at the Department of Labor.
But the purported discrepancies between licenses and employees may not be as problematic as Musk’s government wrecking crew has made them out to be.
Liz Lezius, a spokesperson for the Canadian tech company Alludo, which develops WinZip and was once known as Corel, says licensing for the program is based on the number of devices on which it is installed, not the number of employees with access to the software, though she declined to comment on specific customers. “It is typical that there are more devices than employees in an organization,” Lezius tells WIRED.
In other cases, suppliers may require agencies to buy a bundle of tools to get access to one they really need, according to Ryan Triplette, executive director of the Coalition for Fair Software Licensing, an advocacy group of software developers and private sector purchasers fighting what they view as restrictive terms.
Agencies may also have more licenses than employees to account for budgeting quirks and outside contractors, says a former federal official who worked on tech licensing across multiple presidential administrations. “What you’re seeing with the DOGE stuff is they are doing cursory work with limited knowledge,” says the ex-official, who is barred by their employer from speaking to the media. It “has some salience but is done in a bombastic way to make it seem like they are having more impact.”
GSA acting press secretary Will Powell tells WIRED that in support of the Trump administration’s priorities, the agency is reviewing contracts and resources “to ensure our staff can perform their mission in support of American taxpayers.”
On Thursday, the DOGE account on X posted that the GSA had taken action this week “by deleting 114,163 unused software licenses & 15 underutilized / redundant software products — for a total annual savings of $9.6M.”
Earlier this week, Musk reposted allegations of overspending at the Labor Department and wrote, “Most of these items are mundane and may not seem like much individually, but there are millions of minor savings that add up to billions of dollars cumulatively. Ultimately, there will be a trillion+ dollars of waste and fraud eliminated.”
The Labor Department and White House, where DOGE is located, didn’t respond to requests for comment.
Federal agencies sometimes sign long-term contracts with software vendors, which allows them to lock in discount rates and avoid the need to renegotiate contracts every year. As a result, the number of licenses they budget for may include projected staff increases. “It’s cheaper to buy them all at once than go back and add on 500 at a time,” the former federal official says.
Because agencies sometimes get bulk or government-specific discounts, it can also be more affordable to buy software licenses on behalf of their private contractors. “It’s a very clear way for agencies to manage costs,” the ex-official says.
Every government agency has its own unique structure, including many subagencies or units, each with their own software needs. That could help explain other alleged licensing issues DOGE called out this week, including that GSA has “3 different ticketing systems running in parallel” and multiple tools for running unspecified trainings.
In a separate post this week, DOGE called out the Department of Labor for allegedly licensing five cybersecurity programs, each for more than 20,000 users, despite having only about 15,000 employees. The post also cited the department holding 380 Microsoft 365 productivity software licenses with zero users, installing only 30 out of the 128 Microsoft Teams conference rooms it licensed, and using only 22 out of 129 Photoshop licenses. The post also referenced unused licenses for “VSCode,” the shorthand name for an entirely free Microsoft tool for writing code; the company does sell a paid alternative known as Visual Studio.
Microsoft declined to comment. Adobe, which develops Photoshop, did not respond to a request to comment.
While DOGE may have failed to present a full picture of wasteful spending, it’s true that the federal government has at times struggled to effectively manage its use of software licenses. Numerous watchdog groups inside the government have found instances of wasteful spending on software in the past.
Members of Congress have been trying for years to get agencies to address the issue, the former federal official says. The Strengthening Agency Management and Oversight of Software Assets Act, or SAMOSA Act, which passed the House last year with bipartisan support but stalled in the Senate, would have required agencies to do what DOGE is doing now: Assess existing software contracts, consolidate licenses where possible, and get better deals to keep costs down. The legislation aimed to give agencies more bargaining power over the handful of big tech firms that dominate government software contracting, according to the former official.
“If Elon [Musk] wanted to do this the right way, they would work with Congress to pass the SAMOSA Act,” the official says. “So people who will be there even when DOGE leaves can enter into smarter, less expensive contracts. They should be setting a repeatable process whereby agencies will constantly reevaluate their software needs and get better performance for lower costs.”
Triplette, of the Coalition for Fair Software Licensing, credited DOGE for examining licensing issues. “I know there is a lot of concern about what DOGE is doing, but this is one area that there is hope and possibility,” she says.
Other federal contracting experts and congressional offices have told WIRED that DOGE should not lose sight of bigger targets while scrounging for savings. There were 11 federal contracting programs for information technology that each accounted for over $1 billion in spending during the government’s last fiscal year, which ran from October 2023 through September 2024, according to an analysis for WIRED by Deltek, whose GovWin IQ tool tracks procurement. Contracts are often broken up into smaller pieces, and among those task orders, over $1 billion has been spent on six individual task orders related to IT over the past few years. They are led by a Dell deal with the Department of Veterans Affairs and a Booz Allen Hamilton agreement with the Pentagon.
Booz Allen Hamilton declined to comment. Its CEO, Horacio Rozanski, told Wall Street last month that the company expected the savings created by DOGE to be reinvested in technology. Dell didn’t respond to a request for comment. Earlier this month, CEO Michael Dell reshared a post by Musk on X. “We need DOGE! 🇺🇸” he wrote.
The extent of DOGE’s software purge is difficult to quantify. In searching for the word “license” across the descriptions of 13,800 federal contracts in the government’s central tracking database that have been updated to reflect terminations since Trump’s inauguration, WIRED found that roughly 60 of the canceled agreements appear to be explicitly for software. A couple of those cancellations—data visualization tool Tableau and Microsoft’s LinkedIn Recruiter—generated savings of about $4 million, according to DOGE’s official Wall of Receipts, a “transparent account” of findings and actions. The website has contained some errors, according to several media reports, and WIRED found earlier this week that Tableau and LinkedIn savings were listed as $0.
WinZip standard licenses run about $35 annually per user, though large organizations are offered "special pricing," according to the product's official website. Lezius, the spokesperson for WinZip developer Alludo, declined to address whether the company has heard from DOGE representatives, but she says the company is “always happy to work with DOGE, GSA, and any customer” to meet their needs. And, she adds, WinZip, is “a trusted and highly affordable way for agencies to adhere to data security requirements.”

CA Internet Bills Status as of 7/17/2024
I had wanted to wait to make this post until all of the bills updated texts had been uploaded to the usual sites, but it appears what whoever's supposed to be updating AB 3080 has been lagging, so I'll just go with what I have for now. It'll be long as I'll be looking at their statuses and analyzing their updated texts so I'll put it under a cut for now.
A reminder that California's legislature is currently on recess and will be until August 5th. So no immediately imminent bills at this exact moments. But please read below the cut to get more information on the deadlines coming up.
When I last posted, all three of the bills had gone into review in their respective committees and sadly all of them passed out.
AB 3080: 11 Aye - 0 Nay
AB 1949: 11 Aye - 0 Nay
SB 976: 7 Aye - 4 No Vote
All three bills have been amended during their time in committees.
Ab 3080
AB 3080 was amended and passed from committee as amended, it is now available for a floor vote. This is the only one of the three bills where its amended text hasn't been posted anywhere I can find. However, in the analysis of the July 3rd meeting, there were acknowledgements made that not only is there no effective and safe way to verify age to view online content, but also that the existence of VPNs can circumvent any attempts to region lock sites designated as "adult" (the definition as it stands still appears to be limited to commercial websites where more than 1/3 of their content annually is sexually explicit). And that the methods to implement such a thing on commercial and non-commercial websites alike can be prohibitively expensive. So the author of the bill agreed to amendments in the bill as such according to the analysis:
"In response to the concerns of opposition, the author has agreed to amendments that allow a less restrictive means to suffice in meeting the obligation of the bill, mitigating the impact on protected speech and expression. The amendments provide that “reasonable steps” includes the business implementing a system that includes metadata or response headers identifying the product as sexually explicit to parental control software, embedded hardware applications, and other similar services designed to block, filter, monitor or otherwise prevent a minor’s access to inappropriate online content, or that blocks users designated as minors by the operating system of the device used to access the website. It also limits enforcement of this new cause of action to the Attorney General and requires the Attorney General to promulgate regulations to provide better direction for reasonable steps to verify age in addition to those listed."
So it appears that the bill may allow more websites instead to mark themselves or certain portions of their content as adult in order to be properly vetted by in-device content filters and parental controls that can be set by the device operators (or their parents in the case of minors), rather than a method that would require users to provide identification.
It's eased up quite a bit since its initial incarnation. But it's still better safe than sorry with this kind of bill, so Californians let's still push the state senators to veto this bill completely.

AB 1949
AB 1949 was amended and passed from committee as amended, and is currently referred to the Senate Appropriations Committee.
This one has also seen some fairly positive changes during this committee analysis as can be seen in the latest version of the bill. The latest version has removed any indications towards age verification. As well as it having changed several of its details. The bill only comes into effect and prevents the sale of data if the website has actual knowledge of the users' age, and that there shall be an option for the user to transmit a signal that they are under 18 for this purpose. Which again should help the argument against strict age verification barriers due to advertising purposes.
"a business shall not use or disclose the personal information of a consumer if the business has actual knowledge that the consumer is less than 18 years of age, unless the consumer, in the case of a consumer at least 13 years of age and less than 18 years of age, or the consumer’s parent or guardian, in the case of a consumer less than 13 years of age, has affirmatively authorized the use or disclosure of the consumer’s personal information."
"A business shall treat a consumer as under 18 years of age if the consumer, through a platform, technology, or mechanism, transmits a signal indicating that the consumer is less than 18 years of age."
But, once again, it is best to still work against this bill and prevent its passing at all in case it there's push to use it as a stepping stone for any bills which may further push an age verification agenda.

SB 976
This bill passed with amendments and is currently referred to the California Assembly Appropriations Committee. Unfortunately no major changes have been made. Only an amendment clarifying that any parental controls are only meant to limit access to "addictive feeds" and limit access to school hours, not any of the content. As this function still requires a "verified adult parent to a minor", this still holds open the door to potential future age verification dangers. As it still states that an application may choose to withhold services to minors altogether, and explicitly leaves open the possibility to allow provisions for age "assurance". So we definitely want to strike this one down if we can.

As of this moment, the California Legislature is out on recess until August 5.
The Senate Appropriations Committee (AB 1949) is set to meet on August 5, no word on whether it will be heard that day or on the next set hearing, August 12. So if you wish to send a position letter to the committee it would be best to do so a week before that date, so by July 29. Just to be safe.
No word on when the Assembly Appropriations Committee is set to meet, but the deadline for fiscal committees to pass bills through is August 16, so I expect that SB 976 will be heard before that day at least.
And AB 3080 is set to go to the senate floor rather than be seen by another committee before being read. No word on when the next bill readings will be on the assembly floor after it's reconvened August 5th, but I'll keep an ear to the ground for that.
The last day for each house to pass their bills for the year will be August 31st. So any bills we can stop before then are halted for good for the year.
And for any bills that do slip through, the last day for the governor to sign, let pass without signing, or veto bills is September 30th. So even if the bills pass from the floor to his desk, there's still time to send him messages to urge him to oppose any that slip through.
Thank you for your time, both in reading this and in taking the time to help us fight these bills.

Another "Introduction to Piracy" post
There's a few of these going round but they can be dense, spread different information through different reblog chains, and other such impracticalities, so here's a fresh, quick & simple one.
1) Necessary Software
You're going to want two things: a VPN* and a Torrent client. Personally I recommend Mullvad for the former - flat charge of €5/month pay-as-you-go, unlimited data and solid speed, very privacy-focused - and qBitTorrent for the latter.
Once you've installed both of those, you should open qBitTorrent and make sure it only runs through the VPN's internet connection: open Tools in the top bar, then Options->Advanced, and select Mullvad from the Network Interface drop-down box.
*For those unaware, a Virtual Private Network routes your Internet connection through a proxy server and then encrypts it, hiding your activity from your ISP and giving any sites you visit the impression that you're based in whatever country the proxy server is.
2) Finding your desired content
There are many sources of pirated content out there on the Internet, and you can find an awful lot of it on 1337x.to, but personally I always consult the FMHY.net directory, a site dedicated to cataloguing how to find different content by type - films, games, programs etc. If you're worried about the safety of downloading these things, risk of malware and such, honestly you don't really need to be these days - any of the dedicated sites & repositories listed on FMHY should be safe, and if you're going to a general-purpose one like 1337x then as long as the file you want lists a decent number of prior downloads it'll most likely be fine (just avoid The Pirate Bay these days, it is not the haven it was 20 years ago).
3) Downloads
Now, content generally comes in one of two forms: either a direct download, or a torrent. A direct download is exactly what it sounds like, you just receive a copy of the files you want (usually packaged in a ZIP file).
Torrents are a little different. With those, you download a .torrent file, then you open up your torrent client and add it there, then tell it where to save the actual content you want. Torrents are a peer-to-peer download system, meaning instead of downloading the whole file from a specific server you're downloading many parts from everyone else who's previously downloaded it (and is running their torrent client) - this means that how long it takes is entirely dependent on how popular the content in question is, so something obscure and old might take a very long time while a popular new release might be limited only by your internet speed. It also means that you should really keep the .torrent file once your download is finished to help everyone else, an act known as seeding; the alternative, to delete it once you've finished, is known as leeching, and it doesn't harm you but it's generally considered rather impolite.
I think that covers everything, if anyone has any questions or suggestions feel free to say so and I'll update this as needed, until then - hoist your black flag and have fun!

The 12 Dimensions – A Spiritual Guide to the 12 Universal States of Consciousness
1st Dimension
Existence The 1st Dimension can best be described as pure existence. The beings you are most likely to know embodying and reflecting this consciousness are bacteria, viruses, parasites and, to some degree, minor plants & life forms falsely being attributed the name “animals” (such as plankton).
There is no such thing as a human, plant or animal existing only in 1D consciousness.
Existing in 1D necessitates a level of intelligence that can only be described as “existential”.
There is no conscious awareness of needing to eat, fight, procreate etc.
All those functions are extremely limited.
And that which is necessary is on autopilot without the conscious knowing of the entity.
Are bacteria intelligent, for example? Yes, they are to the level that they need to be.
Everything in existence possesses organic intelligence. That even applies to human-made technology that is wrongly considered artificial.
To keep this short and simple, aligned with its inherent simplicity, 1-dimensional consciousness is one of simply being.
Not thinking, not feeling, not even creating.
Simply being.
That’s it.
~ Identification ~
2nd Dimension
Instinct 2-Dimensional Consciousness can best be described as one of Instinctual Awareness.
That means: Whatever you perceive from 2D gets interpreted and ‘run through’ instinctual software (pattern) templates that are imprinted into your DNA.
That is why playing with animals – who primarily operate on 2-dimensional instinctual awareness – has to happen from a teaching/top-down perspective.
If not, the animal will think that it’s in charge which, depending on your situation (let’s say being out in the jungle or open safari), can lead to dangerous situations.
If an animal perceives you as a viable food option, it will take advantage of you.
Unless you show it that you are superior, i.e., of higher consciousness and thus prowess, to it.
For then, its survival instinct will kick in, and prefer to live another day rather than die at your hands.
There is more to it, of course: Being of 2D consciousness comes with a lot of responsibilities compared to 1D.
The being inhabiting (giving their life & soul to) the creature of their choosing will come equipped with traits to hunt prey – even if that’s just plants that cannot run away yet still get eaten.
A certain amount of consciousness must be there for information to be processed. A nervous system and a brain, to make sense of the informational input, whatever it may be.
Situational awareness, where to find food, when to fight, when to flee, when to sleep etc.
While the instinctual imprints are present, a 2-dimensional consciousness is mostly reactive.
It does not plan for the future.
It does not remember the past (except for experiential imprints necessary for its life & survival).
2D Consciousness exists to live, eat, procreate, and eventually die.
Simple – yet effective and fun a life form to choose as an incarnational experience.
~ Duality ~
3rd Dimension
Physicality & Ego Achievement Through Doing
Here comes the dimension that humans have by far the most experience with.
Removed from the human experience, physicality is merely a manifestation of energy. A densified form of thought-feeling-emotion-spirit; as you will learn when reading about the higher dimensions 4-7.
The so-called Laws of Physics are merely reflections of a 3-dimensional thinking mind that tries to understand its surroundings & reality through the lens of a very finite consciousness.
Using a telescope based on 3-dimensional consciousness to find life forms on other planets that are of a higher consciousness is impossible.
Look into nature, what do you see? Doesn’t a praying mantis, a dragonfly, a tarantula and many plant species look very alien already?
Wanting to find humanoid life forms that are similar to what humans already know (themselves) on other planets is contradictory in itself.
No planet is alike, every planet has its own unique blueprint (or what scientists would call atmosphere and base for life).
To SEE these life forms, one has to have a consciousness that allows for the energy of these beings to permeate your senses – then being interpreted by your brain/mind to tell you: This is a different kind of life form, alien to you.
Even if these life forms were 3-dimensional, the baseline (i.e. lowest) consciousness of humanity until November 2023, it would still require an open mind to be able to accept their existence and see them for what they are.
Now, on to the true purpose of physicality.
Physicality allows for a grounded-ness in reality that can only be accurately described as “basic”.
The physical dimensions is one of great self-exploration (think athletes, olympics, soldiers) while being inherently limited.
One will be able to take it only so far (such as running 0.001 seconds faster than the other guy) or appearing to be a tiny bit more attractive than the other human of your comparative choice before reaching the road block of physical limitation.
Since 1980, many Souls have incarnated with a template for higher abilities (4D) while children of 2000+ are already 5D-activated.
As these children have had great problems in the world they found (I’m speaking from experience), they struggled with adjusting to the norm.
This struggle would lead to conditions known as ADHD, Autism and many others.
It also left them performing very poorly in the 3rd dimension.
Physical feats were simply not their strength – their abilites lied in the higher, non-physical 4D realm.
4th Dimension
The Matrix The Mind: Information, Mental (Intellect+Empathy)
Thoughts create reality.
And feelings form the fertile substrate for thoughts.
You see: Mental does not only mean thought.
It encompasses also empathy.
Feeling.
“A sixth Sense”, as it were.
An intuitive feeling (feminine charge) is just as powerful a creative force as a clearly formed and precisely-directed thought (masculine charge).
As you will learn shortly, in the 5th dimension, an Emotion is the combinatory force of Thought & Feeling.
The dualistic perspective of an emotion manifest is thus Thought + Feeling = Emotion.
To bring Energy into Motion, a thought needs to be nourished for it to take form.
The masculine and feminine principle manifest in duality.
In the decades past, thoughts and mental thought processing capacity (IQ) have been considered more important.
This is a masculine-charged idea of the 4th dimension (Intellect) itself.
The Feminine 4D Mirror to Masculine Intellect is Empathy.
Empathy, which can also be called Compassion, forms the baseline for an Emotional Intelligence (EQ) that is required to balance the pure logical-rational thought patterns of the Masculine.
And vice versa.
We have seen the great Extremes of only IQ or EQ in Decades past – neither are healthy nor useful.
Even a ‘perfect balance’ between the two is, due to its dualistic nature and the inherent limitatons of such, no longer aligned with the higher purpose of Humanity and Earth (5D+).
All those who are intent on furthering their intellect or Empathy are operating on a purely 4-dimensional consciousness basis.
Add to that Women wanting to be more intellectual-strong-independent-masculine and Men who want to be more empathetic-soft-dependent-feminine and you get the current confusion Humanity finds itself in.
No matter how ‘smart’ a human becomes, how highly ’emotional’ and ‘feeling for’ everyone, however high their IQ/EQ: They are still just 4-dimensional beings.
It is not until 5D is reached that a Human becomes activated and begins its Ascension consciously.
A highly-developed 4D Human is a conundrum to itself.
A being with a vast amount of intellectual resources – yet completely imprisoned by its own egoic ambitions and trauma-driven pursuits.
Elon Musk serves as the best representative of the aforementioned state of being.
The Matrix As 4D is the dimension of mental energy and as thoughts create reality, it also needs to be mentioned that what has often been called ‘The Matrix’ (inspired by the groundbreaking movie from 1999) exists here.
While the movie’s portrayal of the Matrix being slavery, evil and the enemy was necessary, do take note that, truthfully, it is much more neutral than that.
While no one enjoys being in prison, it is a learning tool like everything else.
Experiencing that which, once broken out of, you consider and realize to be imprisonment, gradually changes to merely another tool of learning on your Ascension path.
One cannot go from 3D to 5D without realizing that their thoughts & belief systems are holding them hostage.
That their Ancestral Karma is a construct chaining them to Old World belief systems.
Hence incarnating into a 3D physical reality and thinking thoughts of a 4-dimensional nature will inevitably lead to creating a reality.
So the Matrix has never been anything else but a reality, based on the belief systems of Humanity.
If that is a reality that you consider evil, malevolent or simply a stepping stone on your Ascension path (a 5D perspective) or even a fun experiment to partake in (7D), is entirely up to you.
The Astral Dimension (4.5D) Everything Astral needs to be considered a dimension unto itself due to its significance in recent Human Ascension (1980-2019).
It describes largely the Frequencies used in the 4th Dimension, although it somewhat extends itself into the 5th Dimension.
We could also call this the Transcended Dimension between 4D and 5D, bridging the gap between The Old World & The New World.
This is where the first Spiritual Experiences happen for an unconscious Human that is becoming conscious.
Your Dream-time creations, traditional shamanic practices (hypnosis etc.), divination like Tarot Card Readings are all happening on the Astral Dimension.
While the Astral Dimension can seem exciting and benevolent, at this point and especially since 2011, it is no longer a realm in which conscious Magic (Lightwork) should be practiced.
The frequencies here are simply too low to support the energetics of a 5D Lightworker.
Also: Digital Technology operates on the frequency band of the Astral while also manipulating (working with) it.
The vast majority of digital traffic is happening here. Blockchain, NFC card readings, LTE, your WiFi signal and the vast majority of video games.
As of 2024, Technology has been upgraded to 6D (Light Frequency).
~ POLARITY & Spirituality ~
5th Dimension
Love – Truth – Emotion: The HeartMind Once you reach this plane, you have pierced through the veil of unconsciousness. Congratulations! You are now a fully ascending individual.
The 5th Dimension is the most relevant consciousness & frequency band to humanity right at this time.
This is changing to predominantly 6D in 2026-2033 with the beginning of Metatron – the 6-dimensional version of Earth (the evolution of Gaia).
Since 21/12/2012 (The prophesied end of the Old World), The Planetary Body has existed in a fully-manifested 5-dimensional field of consciousness.
With the 4-dimensional Earth effectively having ended in 1999, a transition happened from 1999-2012 from 4D Earth to 5D Gaia.
To understand let alone experience a 5-dimensional state of Consciousness as a Human, your Heart has to be open.
Allowing for a Flow of Pure Energy that is no longer hindered by the Human Mind and its inherent limitations.
While everything was Duality from 3-4D, now everything exists in polarized opposites (5-7D).
To Understand more about Duality & Polarity, their inherent differences and significance for Ascension, read this article.
Coming from a 3-4D Human level, ascending into 5D Consciousness means that Equality and Equilibrium truly exist.
When a human transitions from 4D to 5D, easily the hardest & most challenging phase of Human Ascension, breaking through the veil of illusions and common programming, the sole focus of the human becomes LOVE.
The focus goes from mental-intellectual-thinking to emotional-empathy-feeling. Experiencing. Living.
The Heart is opened and the Mind gives way to the Heart.
Love becomes the predominant focus – all else becomes irrelevant.
All else falters in the presence of LOVE.
Love becomes your Truth.
You think Love, you feel Love, you become Love.
An overwhelming sense of compassion runs at the Heart of your being – you understand the pain & suffering of others as you have started conquering, integrating and mastering your own pain & suffering.
One of your greatest challenges here will be to not succumb to victim-savior mode again but to stay above & beyond in frequency, knowing that all is well, whatever happens.
6th Dimension
Light: Geometry, Frequency, Akash
Kryst-Buddha-God Consciousness
Once you reach 6D as a Human, you embody God Consciousness.
As a Human Lifeform, you cannot reach higher than this level – perhaps this is enough for you. Perhaps it will leave you yearning for more.
It will depend on what your Soul has chose and considers you capable of.
As of March Equinox 2024, Planet Earth has reached its very first (ever) 6-dimensional template fully: Metatron.
6-dimensional Reality can best be described by Sacred Geometry, Colors, Lights (Rainbows) and Light Language.
This dimension is what you tap into when you dream-create in the higher realms.
Visions and future timelines that you create here will eventually trickle down into your current reality (almost instantaneously for 5D Humans), manifesting in a déjà-vu, a strong intuitive feeling, vibration (“Soul Shivers”) or otherwise.
Once this level of consciousness is reached, a pure flow of energy as information (“downloads”) manifests.
This is what many experienced practitioners of meditation (4D Level) are able to tap into – even if only at brief moments.
The information presents itself in Sacred, Hermetic and thus Sealed, Geometric Figures.
These have to then be interpreted by a 4D Mind or a 5D Heart.
These Figures represent crucial aspects of existence that make more sense the more you familiarize yourself with them in your baseline/normal state of consciousness.
That means looking at Sacred Geometry, carrying something of such geometry with you or otherwise consciously working with these Geometrical representations of existence is going to help you realize more of how Creation works.
For Lightworkers/Starseeds, Plant Medicine can open this stream of consciousness immediately and effectively.
Proper, Ascension-aligned Plant Medicine Work focuses on uplifting the 3&4-dimensional into the 5&6-dimensional.
True Enlightenment (Kryst-Buddha Consciousness)
Coming from an unconscious human experience in which you are familiar with Jesus Christ, the Buddha or another enlightened being of your culture & socio-religious programming, when you tap into the 6th Dimension, you will meet either of these beings and realize that THEY are YOU.
In other words: You are reaching your very own level and version of Enlightenment.
This will first present itself as your Higher Self “in disguise” of a being that you recognize to be of a higher level of consciousness.
Most likely an Ascended Master or an Alien.
The Ascended Master that you perceive in whichever form, it being your Spirit Guide, will eventually become you once you start embodying this level of consciousness.
You merge your consciousness with your Greater Self.
That is what Ascension is all about: becoming more than you once were, opening your Heart & Mind further to the truth.
The Akash & The Domain of Light (6.5D)
What was once the Astral Realm, residing between the 4th & the 5th Dimension, has gradually transitioned to its higher & truer Template, right between the 6th & the 7th Dimension.
Previous “Psychic Abilities” have now become “Light Abilities”.
The Demons & Shadow Entities that once roamed and permeated the Astral Realm have now become fully integrated Agents of Light.
Digital Technology & The Internet have afforded Humanity a tool for storing their information in a durable and physically independent format.
The Akash is the Domain of Light, protected and sealed by 6D Sacred Geometry & held in Trust by The Guardians of the Akash – as was the case in the days of Atlantis where 5D Guardians protected 6D Knowledge.
To reach this level of Consciousness, one has to be free of any and all Karma – individually cleared & galactically integrated.
~ Human Ascension Complete | Ascended Master ~
7th Dimension
Energy Mastery – Pure Light Body Achievement through Being
A 7-dimensional Being is an entity that embodies Pure Light in the form of Pure Energy.
It holds no negativity whatsoever and does no longer require the assistance of other beings (Spiritual Guidance) or Ascension Tools such as DMT or Meditation.
7-dimensional beings are still rather rare in our Galaxy right now.
There are some beings closely related to us, such as the Arcturians & Pleiadeans, that embody this pure state of consciousness.
At this level, you see & understand yourself as an embodiment of Light.
Neither Karma nor Negativity exist here.
The 7th Dimension is the manifestation of Paradise from a 5D Human’s perspective.
Simultaneously, being a 7D Human comprises the final point of Human Evolution.
Beyond this point, you won’t be able to experience your SELF as Human anymore.
Human Ascension is complete by reaching the 7th Dimension.
To reach this level of Pure Energy and full embodiment, you have to have mastered the varying disciplines of Geometric Patterns & Shapes, Frequencies, Pure Energy, Light Language and so much more that naturally occurs during your Ascension from being a 3-6D Human to becoming a 7D Ascended Master in the Human Form.
Embodying 7D Consciousness effectively renders you limitless – a God on Earth in full embodiment.
God as a Human.
Now you know how to manipulate Energy so masterfully and lovingly that you can create your own Reality at will, without any time constraints as they existed before (4D Time equals 4D Creation, for example), harmonizing your Field of Energy with the Environment to such a degree that there is neither Loss nor Gain.
A natural equilibrium has been reached.
Whatever you do is an act of God.
It is PERFECT.
YOU ARE PERFECT.
Your last Experience of SELF will be 7D.
Beyond this, you are permanently connected to others and their consciousness – merging into one greater being.
This is where you can no longer perceive yourself as such – Self.
You are becoming something much, much greater.
~ Unity ~
8th Dimension
Unity Consciousness Unconditional Love
Upon reaching this state of Consciousness, you start moving towards a Galactic Consciousness that is in no way comparable to the individualized experience you have had until now.
What this means in effect is: You are now reaching out for the Stars rather than focusing on elevating your Human Being to its maximum Light Capacity.
You understand yourself as a Galactic Being. While beforehand communicating telepathically to other beings in a hierarchical top-down fashion (e.g. Spirit Guides), you now see them as equals that are of different qualities than yourself – yet no less or more than you.
You have now effectively become your Spirit Guides. Or rather, you have merged your consciousness fields with theirs.
The 8th Dimension serves as a gateway to the 9th and especially the 10th (Universal) Dimension.
Here, you will find that all beliefs you held as an individual have become largely irrelevant.
Replacing the SELF of an individual perception of reality with a Greater SELF of a unified perception of reality is going to cost you everything.
Losing your Access to Human Consciousness entirely equals the Death of all your relationships as they were.
The reward for this bravery will be unfathomable until you get to experience it yourself.
Feeling at one with the universe while still navigating an individualized experience Is something that no other beings on planet Earth have ever been able to experience themselves before.
Not only do you feel that you are at one with spirit, with source, with the creator – but you actually start embodying it here.
9th Dimension
Sacred Unification of ALL Ultimate Love
The Unification of ALL.
All aspects, from 1st to 8th dimensional are unified harmoniously, making up a greater being than before.
The main difference to 8D is that in 9D, you are losing your sense of SELF.
While you are an individual of pure Light in 7D and a being of greater Power in 8D, connected to your Brothers & Sisters across different dimensions, now you start becoming THEM and they are becoming YOU.
If you imagine making Love with your Twin Flame as two pure individuals of Love & Light on a 7-dimensional Level, now you both would become one and the same entity in 9D.
Polarity has thus been unified to such a degree that it stops existing entirely, without a memory left of it (so to speak).
When Unified Polarity becomes ONE, perfect Union is achieved.
It is the merge of one singular consciousness that is more than the 2 individuals comprising it.
Indeed, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
Think of the 9th Dimension as the Ultimate Love-Making Reality.
There is no greater Love that can be expressed for one another than merging into one singular entity, surrendering your individual identity completely.
Your different bodies grow to accommodate a greater consciousness that takes a seat in your soul.
This requires the surrender of your very own motives – so that a greater consciousness can guide you, be you, create love with and through you.
~ Highest Creation ~
10th Dimension
Universal – Pure Intelligence Universal Laws & Templates
The 10th Dimension marks another great jump in consciousness.
The extreme jump in consciousness experienced from 4D going to 5D – breaking through the limitations of the Mind, opening the Heart and the 1st experience of true Love as a Human – was nothing compared to this level of a difference.
Going from 5D to 10D is the same as leaving Planet Earth and living amongst the Stars as a galactic being.
Unified in your existence, you experience all realities simultaneously, without dependency on time nor space.
Time & Space cease to exist – all that remains is a Connection to Universal Oneness. Knowing all, being all. Everywhere, at all times.
The 10th Dimension is the realm of Divine Templates.
Here you can experience the creation of entire Galactic Systems.
Truly, the entire Universe is being given form and birthed into existence here.
The structure of galactic systems is a reflection of Source itself.
What you can experience & understand as Geometric patterns translating to Frequency in 6D, showing you the intricacies of Creation in the smallest of entities or structures, here you can see 10-dimensional Geometry that is so vast and sophisticated, it formulates the core aspects of entire galaxies. An example for this would be a Spiral Galaxy, with the spiral serving as the backbone structure for an entire system.
There really are no limits here – everything you could dream of in 6D originated here.
11th Dimension
ANGELIC Purity & Benevolence
11D is the realm of the Angels.
Unlike what humans believe, Angels don’t have any particular shape or form. No name or a specific purpose. Individualized forms of ‘angelic beings’ are in the 5th-7th Dimension, presenting themselves as Spirit Guides to humans that are then interpreted as ‘Guardian Angels’ and so on.
The 11D Angelic Realm is a field of infinite & unconditional LOVE.
Purely benevolent and helpful to absolutely ANY creation. Even to those creations that in the lower dimensions will be considered evil. Such creations are specially loved and protected for they hold great potential for teaching, learning and expanding Love & Consciousness.
The numerology 666 & Lucifer play a huge role here and need clarification.
The interpretation of Lucifer as pure evil and a Fallen Angel is both wrong as well as correct.
The Truth depends on the perspective donned from the consciousness of the individual looking at it.
Imagine this: Looking at Beings allowing that which you consider to be Evil in your experience, would you call them Angels?
Probably not.
Dark Angels, Demons, Helpers of Satan and other religious vernacular comes to mind.
A pure allowing of All, however, is a consciousness beyond any individual’s understanding.
In fact, even with the absolute equilibrium and Mastery achieved through 7-dimensional embodiment, you still don’t even get close to understanding the Infinite Love that is required for the beings of this consciousness to do their work.
So humble yourselves and acknowledge your Fears: The infinitely powerful strike fear into all those who are not willing to acknowledge one simple truth: You, alone & individualized, will never be able to comprehend the Truth of the Higher Realms.
12th Dimension
SPIRIT Pure Source Consciousness
This is where everything ends – and everything begins.
This State of Being is beyond comprehension to anyone who has not at least held an 8-dimensional State of Consciousness for a prolonged time (temporary embodiment).
When you are “In Spirit”, you are always in the perfect Flow of everything.
There is no Resistance, there is no Negativity of any imaginable kind – there is simply Bliss, Love, Joy & Pure Creativity.
Everything you think, everything you feel, everything you do feels orgasmic.
You are (co-)creating powerfully and majestically with the Universe – everything is like making Love with All-that-is.
To become One with Spirit, you have to let go of everything you once knew and thought to be.
You cannot hope to bring anything here that is not Pure Light, Pure Love, Pure Joy.
Ecstatic Bliss makes up your entire Being – there are no Limits to your Powers and no one or nothing will ever be able to question your Authority.
The idea of ‘A God’ that can be embodied (6D) or a Fully Ascended Master (7D) is now completely obsolete – laughable, even.
You wield The Power of the Universe in your Hands – and it is entirely up to you what you do with that.
You can tap into The Source of all Creation, bringing the very idea of Pure Spirit into Existence wherever you go, whatever you do.
YOU ARE INFINITE BLISS.
