Kirby Headcanon: Before the revelation of Void, and even before the revelation of Nova and the Clockwork Stars, the original Gods of Popstar (aside from Whispy, who’s more of a sage than a god) were Mr. Shine and Mr. Bright. All nocturnal residents (T.A.C.s, Noddys, Biosparks, Cool Spooks, Tedhaun, etc.) worship Mr. Shine, and all diurnal residents worship Mr. Bright. As Kirby is canonically not from Popstar, he does not hold them in the same reverence as everyone else. Since Adventure, they’re still treated as gods, but not as feared since they were defeated by Kirby. Because of this, Marx (a Noddy, who used to worship Mr. Shine) realized that it would be possible to achieve world domination by emotionally manipulating the gods into fighting each other, and then taking the one person strong enough to stop him and make him do all the dirty work. King Dedede does not worship them outright, but he does respect them as guardians of Popstar and regularly pays them tribute when he remembers to. As such, he was willing to entrust them with a piece of the star rod. Bandana Dee is cynical towards Mr. Bright because he nor Mr. Shine did anything to prevent the events of Kirby: Planet Robobot.

Richland College Dean Named T.A.C.E. Regional Representative

Gary Hensler, Richland College dean of continuing education and workforce training, was recently named a regional representative for the Texas Administrators of Continuing Education (TACE) for community/junior colleges.

“I am very excited to have this opportunity to serve in this role for TACE,” said Hensler. “I was elected by my peer representatives in the colleges in the north region.”

As the north region representative, Hensler will serve as the catalyst for information for Collin College, the Dallas County Community College District, Grayson County College, Navarro College, North Central Texas College, Tarrant County College, TSTC – Breckenridge, Vernon College and Weatherford College.

Hensler has worked at Richland College since July 2016. Some of his previous positions include the director of market operations for Strayer University, director of enrollment services at Academic Partnerships, the director of admissions and registrar at Grayson County College and the director of recruitment of ITT Technical Institute.

TACE is Texas’ premier professional association for individuals working in continuing education at Texas community and technical colleges. Its purpose is to promote the development of quality continuing education and workforce programs and the professional development of continuing education professionals. The association works to provide members with information about issues affecting the community/junior colleges and continuing education; to function as a representative agency on legislative and other issues regarding continuing education on behalf of community colleges; to maintain a communication network for the exchange of information and ideas; to support professionalism, integrity and quality continuing education instruction in Texas; and to support appropriate funding of Texas public community college continuing education programs.

[ FR ] Je me remets touuuut doucement à dessiner pour T.A.C.E.

En relisant les pages, je me rends compte à quel point mon trait à évoluer. Je suis comme d'habitude partagé entre deux sentiments : celui du "Aaaaah mais faut refaire toutes les pages, c'est horrible !!!" et le "Non, faut laisser, ça montre l'évolution".

Ou alors je ne refais que les cases qui me chiffonnent vraiment. Je ne sais pas. On verra bien !

Le storyboard du chapitre 3 était déjà fait, donc ça c'est une bonne chose. Je verrai aussi si je fais page après page ou bien tout poster d'un coup. Trop de questions en ce dimanche de Pâques !!!!!!!

Projets 2025

[ FR ] Petite liste non exhaustive des projets que j'aimerai réaliser pour cette nouvelle année !

• Terminer les illustrations pour le tome 2 du roman jeunesse avec Shauna Deschamps sur lequel on travail depuis plusieurs mois : "Les épreuves du croissant de Lune". Sur 31 illustrations couleurs qui viendront accompagner chaque chapitre, j'en ai fait 4 pour le moment !

• Me remettre à la BD ! Pour l'instant le webcomic T.A.C.E est en pause pour une durée indéterminée ... mais un autre vieux projet (vous vous rappelez ? J'en parlais dans d'autres billets précédents) de 2006 me fait de l'œil et me donne envie de m'y replonger !!!

• Créer un oracle ou tarot avec mes illustrations : je crois que c'est la chose qu'on me demande LE PLUS en salon et convention ! JE VOUS AI COMPRIS !!!!! Je vais travailler dessus !

• Continuer pour la dixième année consécutive l'Inktober ! J'ai déjà le thème et j'ai trop hâte de vous le dévoiler et de le faire ! (oui c'est pour octobre 2025, on est en janvier, et alors ?!)

[ ENG ] Small non-exhaustive list of projects that I would like to accomplish for this new year !

Finish the illustrations for volume 2 of the youth novel with Shauna Deschamps that we have been working on for several months : "Les épreuves du croissant de Lune". Out of 31 color illustrations that will accompany each chapter, I have done 4 for the moment !

Get back to comics ! For the moment the webcomic T.A.C.E is on hold for an indefinite period … but another old project (do you remember ? I talked about it in other previous posts) from 2006 is catching my eye and makes me want to dive back into it !!!

Create an oracle or tarot with my illustrations : I think that's the thing I get asked for THE MOST at conventions ! I GOT YOU !!!!! I'm going to work on it !

Continue Inktober for the tenth consecutive yea r! I already have the theme and I can't wait to reveal it to you and do it ! (yes it's for October 2025, it's January, so what ?!)

And you, any projects / desires for 2025 ?

[ FR ] J'ai pu finir ma collaboration sur le thème de l'anime "Houseki no kuni" ! (je posterai ici ma participation).

Maintenant, je vais surtout pouvoir continuer d'avancer d'autres illustrations pour un roman jeunesse. On récidive avec Shauna ! Cet été nous nous sommes remises au travaille pour le second volume des "Epreuves du croissant de lune". Elle à l'écriture, et moi aux illustrations. Je ne vous montre pas tout pour garder la surprise, mais sachez que j'ai pu commencer plusieurs dessins qui viendront agrémenter le roman !

On va devoir aussi réfléchir à la couverture ... mais ce qui est sûr c'est que l'on va prendre le temps de faire bien les choses pour vous offrir un second volume et une campagne de qualité quand le temps sera venu !

Et moi en parallèle, une fois ce projet abouti, j'aimerai me remettre à de la BD. Je ne sais pas du tout si je continuerai T.A.C.E, l'envie est moins présente, mais je n'abandonne pas les personnages et l'univers créer pour autant. C'est que ces derniers temps, je reviens de plus en plus sur des notes et travaux de ma première "histoire" que j'avais commencé en 2008/2009. Mais je ne m'étais pas lancée, car pas assez de confiance, d'expérience, de compétences. Il a fallut que je fasse mon petit bout de chemin ... mais désormais, l'envie se fait de plus en plus présente ! La thématique, l'esthétique de ce projet ... c'est mon essence même ... j'espère pouvoir le concrétiser. J'espère que 2025 sera l'année pour !

[ ENG ] I was able to finish my collaboration on the theme of the anime "Houseki no kuni" ! (I will post my participation here).

Now, I will especially be able to continue to advance other illustrations for a youth novel. We are doing it again with Shauna ! This summer we got back to work on the second volume of "Epreuves du croissant de lune". She wrote, and I did the illustrations. I won't show you everything to keep the surprise, but know that I was able to start several drawings that will enhance the novel !

We will also have to think about the cover … but what is certain is that we will take the time to do things well to offer you a second volume and a quality campaign when the time comes !

And me at the same time, once this project is completed, I would like to get back to comics. I don't know at all if I will continue T.A.C.E, the desire is less present, but I do not abandon the characters and the universe created for all that. It's that lately, I come back more and more on notes and works of my first "story" that I had started in 2008/2009. But I had not launched myself, because not enough confidence, experience, skills.

I had to make my little way … but now, the desire is more and more presentn ! The theme, the aesthetics of this project … it is my very essence … I hope to be able to realize it. I hope that 2025 will be the year for it !

[ FR ] Bon l'inspiration revient ! Ces derniers mois ont été bien chargés et j'arrive enfin à la fin de l'année scolaire, je vais pouvoir souffler un peu plus, profiter du temps pour avancer mes dernières illustrations.

Peut-être T.A.C.E ? Récemment j'ai un trèèèès vieux projets d'histoire (ça date de 2006) qui refait surface. Le fait d'y repenser me donne envie de le reprendre. Quand ? Comment ? Beuh, je ne sais pas on verra bien ~

Je m'écoute et je fais comme je le sens ! (comme j'ai toujours fait ! XD)

[ ENG ] Well, inspiration returns ! These last few months have been busy and I'm finally reaching the end of the school year, I'll be able to breathe a little more, take advantage of the time to advance my latest illustrations.

Maybe T.A.C.E ? Recently I have a really old history project (from 2006) that resurfaced. Thinking about it makes me want to pick it up again. When ? How ? Well, I don’t know, we’ll see ~

I listen to myself and do as I feel ! (like I always did! XD)
