So nandito ako muli dahil hindi ako maka move on dun sa class namin kanina. Well, nagtanong kasi ako kay mam tapos parang hindi ko na explain ng bongga yung tanong kasi bukod sa mej sabog ako, holiday ngayon, Immaculate Conception nagkklase kami. So yern, sinagot naman nya yung tanong pero may pagkairita na hahahahaha so shut up na lang ako diba, gusto nya yung spotlight sa kanya so go lang. Hindi, seriously, sobrang respectable ni mam, sobrang galing nya, hands down.

Ang tanong ko kasi possible ba na ang idea ng decolonization ang pwedeng mag suppress sa negative impacts ng globalization. Yan ang sinabi ko, pero dapat kasi nagbigay ako ng extra details hahahaha may ongoing conference kasi ngayon at about decolonization ang theme. Nkklk kasi sobrang daming research na magpepresent na halos sa lahat ng aspect ng culture in different settings from archaeology to media. Ang decolonization kasi idea yun na being free from colonialism, nakapaloob din dito yung iba pang concepts like ontology, metaphysics, power matrix, etc. So sa dami ng research, sa dami ng critiques, sa dami ng analysis, sa dami ng conclusions pwede kayang nandun ang sagot kung paano masusugpo ang negative impacts nga ng globalization. Since globalization, human activities na halos entirely manipulated ng transnational corporations, corporations na pagmamay ari din naman ng western people.

Ayern nga, mukang hindi ako nagets ni mam hahahaha so ang sagot nya ang vague din. Inexample ang situation ng mga BPOs na hindi nga raw unionize, yung basic needs nating mga tao in order for us to survive, etc etc so ang dating sakin nung sinabi ni mam parang hindi magtatranspose yung mga man-made thoughts na ito (ito ngang decolonization) sa madla. Parang ganon, o hindi ko rin gets ang sinabi nya LOL!

Anyways, kaya ko lang naman nabanggit yung decolonization na yun e kasi baka nandun yung hope na sinasabi ni mam, nandun yung light ng possibilities na magbibigay nga ng solusyon na maaayos tong sistema na ginawa nating mga tao. Kasi laging sinasabi ni mam na “let’s hope for a better future” “let’s see in the future” ang labo kasi non. San nga kami huhugot ng hope? Kailangan nga natin ng concrete framework dun sa possible solution or remedy para dun ibubuhos ang attention at energy natin. Nabanggit nga ni mam na “ano/ sino ang paglalaanan mo ng panahon, the premise is mahalaga ang panahon.” E kasi kung wala, para lang tayong nakalutang nito na nakatulala lang sa mga nangyayaring karumaldumal. Kasi kung sarili ko ang paghuhugutan ko ng hope, wala talaga, at the end of the day isa lang din akong powerless individual trapped in this system. Diba!? Tapos sabi ni mam okay na raw yun na “bothered” “uncomfortable” kami na ganito ang behind the shimmers of human activity, the globalization, at least were critiquing raw, depressing at nakaka kill joy nga naman. Pero I don’t like it that way! Nkklk! Para kasing sinabi na rin ni mam na we’re doomed, at wala nang takas ang humanity once magkaron ng collapse ng society due to excessive human consumption, pollution, climate change, etc. Nkklk lang. Naniniwala rin naman ako sa kasabihan nga na “be the change that you wish to see in the world” pero babalik pa rin ako sa idea na “i’m just a powerless individual” malaki yung kalaban, so sasabihin nyo dapat collective, dapat lahat tayo makakaalam nito, pero hindi rin e, yung classroom nga is also a privileged space. At isa pa, uunahin mo pa ba yan kung nagugutom ka na? Diba?! Ayern, siguro nga we’re doomed. O sya live your life to fullest na lang. LOL!

Interlude: No More Drama & Prelude: After Story – Omake

Omake’s primary meaning is general and widespread. It is used as an anime and manga fandom term to mean extra or bonus.

Hi!

Because I wasn’t able to update the next chapter this week (stares directly at my other deadlines) – so I thought of updating you guys with something that is rather different instead! :D

Whenever I write, sometimes I would reach roadblocks, and ideas just wouldn’t come out. Usually by then, I would start to imagine things that most of the time are totally unrelated to the main story (haha).

Anyway! Long story short, these are the character profiles that I imagined when I designed them on my head (lol?)

Friendly reminder that this is a complete fiction!

P.S.: I imagined them during their Neo Zone era, so I wouldn’t talk that much about them physically? Also, you can search on Twitter on their actual perfumes, but I think these brands would suit them very well too (there are some that I took from that reference as well lol).

Jaehyun

All Interlude chapters’ quotes are from Jaehyun’s parts on Neo Zone album

Same goes for Prelude, except for Make Your Day (since Yuta wasn’t a part of that song, I replaced it with Jaehyun’s)

You might or might not notice, but I also put Jaehyun’s part(s) on the actual chapter (either on the conversations or the narrations)

Yuta’s yakuza friend, Taka (mentioned briefly), is taken from MIYAVI’s real name (Takamasa Ishihara) – I borrowed his name because Yuta listened to MIYAVI alot (he also followed him on Instagram!)

The music that they listen to on the car ride during Pandora’s Box was Cigarette After Sex’s Apocalypse (because Jaehyun listens to Cigarettes After Sex before going to bed)

The music during the first car ride with Yuta was No Replacing You by Pink Sweat$ (it’s a part of Jaehyun’s playlist – which he revealed on one of his vlive)

The movie that Jaehyun and [Y/N] watched during the rainy day on White Night, The Notebook, is based on Jaehyun’s recommendation on NCT Night Night

I also mentioned this on Pandora’s Box, but the repeated quote between [Y/N] and Jaehyun, “What is the first twenty-four hours if we’re looking back at the past seventy years?” is highly inspired from Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud (And darling I will be loving you 'til we're 70) –because Jaehyun is a fan of Ed.

Also, [Y/N] and Jaehyun met when they’re on their mid 20s. The average human lifespan is 79 years —hopefully our [Y/N] and Jaehyun would have a wonderful long life together. That phrase itself means that both of them are willing to spend the rest of their lives together. Though, I don’t know how that becomes their own love language, it just happened as I write the story haha

[Y/N]’s body gel inspiration is actually a body cleanser by Aesop, A Rose By Any Other Name

Jaehyun’s engagement ring pick was Étincelle de Cartier Ring by Cartier

Jaehyun and [Y/N]’s favorite Ghibli movie pick is Howl’s Moving Castle – Jaehyun mentioned on NCT Night Night that he watched Howl’s Moving Castle a lot when he was at school

After the wedding, dark crimson rose was spotted on Nakamoto’s residence. This symbolizes grief and sadness.

On Make Your Day, the flower language meaning for Buttercup is “Your charm dazzles me”. This is why Yuta knows ___ is attracted to her. If you didn’t notice, Yuta already know that she’s the florist during their first encounter at Nonstop. That is because Yuta remembers their first encounter, too

The tune that ___ listen to at the end of Make Your Day is Always With Me (Spirited Away theme song). I personally feel the scene (on my head) fits the song perfectly! If you want to give it a listen, I recommend the piano version

At the end, ___ gave Yuta anthurium, which means hospitality and happiness. Note how I never really specify their relationship status, since I want the readers to have their own interpretation on the continuation of their relationship

Yuta’s haircut was actually not planned, but it fits the transition since he did cut his hair haha

The hardest chapters to write was Pandora’s Box and Not Alone – purely because they’re mostly transition chapters

Out of all chapters, my personal favorite from Interlude would be White Night and Nonstop for Prelude.

In fact, Nonstop would be my favorite chapter. I think I was so immersed with Jaehyun and [Y/N]’s wedding so I kept including TONS of details hahaha (I hope you don’t mind lol)

The DAY.

I don't know what it's called but i think i just confessed my feelings to her, December 22, 2017. Pinipilit ko siyang umamin sa nararamdaman niya sakin nung mga oras na, naguusap kaming tatlo sa bahay ng kaibigan ko galing Australia. Sa mga oras na yon, nagtanong kaibigan ko saming dalawa. Not only us but tinira niya kaming dalawa inuna niya yung iba pa naming barkada. Nung last na, umuwi na yung iba then suddenly, tatlo nalang kami. My friend is like doing "interrogation." "ano tinatago niyo sakin?" "alam ko may tinatago ka" bla bla bla so on and so forth. she's like asking these questions over and over again until we accidentally said something. And we actually did. Ako kasi mapilit. Like, sobrang mapilit. I'm like " etong si ... , may feelings sakin" "umamin ka na kasi! " "alam ko may feelings ka sakin! " "gusto niya ako" etc. Palagi ko yang nababanggit sa usapan. Palagi kong naisisingit hanggang sa maging topic na namin. I know she really likes me, not because i feel it. It's because of my other friends. Sila yung nakahalata. Like palagi nilang tinatanong sakin kung "ano daw bang meron samin", "may gusto daw ba ako sakanya", something like that na mga questions. And palagi ko namang sinasabing "hindi." "imposible namana siyang magkagusto sakin." " she doesn't like me. " "gago ang labo ammum" o di kaya iiwasan ko nalang yung mga tanong nila OR I'll just change the subject. Simple as that. Sabi pa nga nung isa kong barkada, actually 1 year ahead siya so she's grade 10 now and I'm grade 9 palang. "feeling ko may gusto si ... Sayo" sinabi niya to nung wala nakong takas sakanya. I have no choice but to face her. And i said "no. She doesn't like me. Malabo" and habang pauwi kami, it hit me so hard. I don't know what to say. Other than that, balik tayo sa usapan naming tatlo. Na curious na yung kaibigan naming galing Australia and she asked me directly with her, "ikaw? Do you have feelings?" " may feelings ka ba?". And i was like sweating inside. I don't know what to do. It's getting hotter and worst. Na bla block out yung pagiisip ko. Isip ko ng isip kung ano sasabihin ko. Then suddenly, may naisip ako. Di ko alam kung yung ba yung tama, di ko alam kung yun ba dapat ko sabihin; "oo" " i mean, lahat naman tayo may feelings. Right?" and she just smirked. I don't know if it has double meaning. As far as i know, it's a fact that we all have feelings. Lahat tayo may nararamdaman. And thats it. I don't know whats next to happen when I'll meet her again.
