I'm not sure if it was ever asked before, but what does the Wanderlust AU entail? Or is it a situation where more will be revealed in time?

It's an AU where, after defeating and converting Narinder, Nour imprisons and tortures the bishops for decades after releasing them from purgatory. Nour is slowly being taken over by the crown and even starts abusing Narinder, so he leaves them to travel the world. Nour pulls a redemption arch (kind of) in his time away and frees the siblings (kind of) but then literally magically gives birth to twin shittens a few years later. In their panic to keep the twins safe, Nour consumes the four crowns of the bishops, and has to start battling the island from trying to swallow itself whole because whoops, silly lamb messed with the forces of nature a little too hard and refuses to give up the crowns. Narinder comes back after pulling a "I miss my wife tails, I miss her a lot", meets his surprise kids, and he and Nour try to make up with eachother while also fighting about Nour inevitably destroying the entire world.

thinking about napping with jing yuan in the inner courtyard of his private residence, the mid-afternoon sun warming your skin, a light breeze tangling the many-tendriled branches of the willow tree. shifting slightly, only to feel him tug you back into his chest --

"mmm -- where're you going?"

his voice is sleep-laced and gravely, rumbling through his chest as he nuzzles into the back of your neck.

"'m not going anywhere," you answer, sighing as you relax back into his chest. you twist to face him, reaching up to brush his too-long fringe from his eyes, like so much liquid sunlight, caught between the sleep-glazed glass of his gaze.

"good. you better not be," he chides, tugging you closer. the grass beneath you is the shade of summer-green jade, the sky above such a startling shade of blue it almost pains the eyes to look. wisps of clouds wander like forgotten daydreams across the far horizon, and sparrows flitter between the leaves of the wind-hushed trees.

"don't you have..." you tap his cheek, "official business you have to be getting to?"

he lets out a soft groan, his lashes fluttering shut.

"yanqing will take care of it."

you thump your fist lightly against his chest.

"you need to give that boy a break!"

jing yuan affects an exaggerated pout, his eyes still half-lidded and soft.

"but what about me then, little dove? don't i deserve a break too?"

you roll your eyes, "you already take too many, if you ask me."

a flash of gold, a gasp of breath, and jing yuan is hovering above you, his body caged over you, his nose inches from yours.

"and are you complaining? given that i spend all my free time with you? perhaps i ought to see you a bit less, if you're going to question my work-ethic --"

you whine, squirming, "j-jing yuan! you know that's not what i mean!"

he lets out an exaggerated scoff, "hmm... i don't know... that's what it sounds like you're asking for..."

"general..." you return with a pout of your own, glaring half-heartedly up at him. he sighs, his grip loosening as he rolls off you and pulls you into his lap in a single, fluid move. he leans his back against the tall willow tree with a soft laugh.

"what am i supposed to do with you, little dove? perhaps i'd be more effective at my work if you weren't so precariously distracting all the time."

you loop your arms around his neck with a sweet smile, batting your lashes.

"i don't know what you mean, general -- i rarely ever visit you in shen ce fu for this very reason."

jing yuan's lips tug into a smile that's somehow both sly and helpless. his eyes flashing fox-bright and lion-sharp.

"just because you're not there," he murmurs, tugging your chin closer with two fingers, shaking your head slightly as you bite back a tiny squeak --

"doesn't mean you serve as any less of a distraction..."

I don't think the mdzs fandom talks enough about how lonely Jiang Cheng is. Like. He doesn't have a spouse, a courtesan, a heir, a sworn brother, head disciples (that are a focal point). He doesnt have ANY guidance or support. The best he gets is Jin Ling and Jiang Cheng is suddenly thrust into the role of caring for him.

I really dont get the Jiang Cheng hate. I understand that Wei Wuxian wasnt at fault for killing Jiang Cheng's parents or their sister, but he was at fault enough. And while now Wei Wuxian has a lover, a child, and a gaggle of desciples following him, Jiang Cheng is still alone.

Do you think he sometimes listens to Jin Ling talking about his night hunts with other junior desciples and he's filled with insurmountable yearning? Do you think he looks back at his childhood and thinks he should've enjoyed it more? Do you think he's envious of his own nephew, just a little? Like he's happy for him, more than he has ever been with anyone, but there's still this small "i wish i was you"?
