The Temple of Domitian in Ephesus, Turkey

Built between 81 and 96 A.D., the Temple of Domitian was constructed to honor Emperor Domitian, who ruled the Roman Empire. During the Roman period, the Ephesians dedicated many of their city's buildings to emperors to maintain good relations and secure Rome's support. After Domitian's death, the temple was re-dedicated to the Flavian family. When Christianity triumphed, the temple was torn down to its foundation and has since almost completely disappeared.

yeah, he absolutely could, if the respect is mutual.kenan gives off the energy of someone whose faith is very personal. he doesn’t need someone to match him belief for belief, but he does need someone who understands how important islam is to him. you don’t have to pray with him, but he’d want you to respect his prayers. you don’t have to fast during ramadan, but he’d love if you supported him during it. he’s not looking to convert you - but if you’re rolling your eyes at his beliefs or mocking traditions? that’s a hard no. so it’s not about being religious. it’s about being kind and curious and non-dismissive.

he probably prefers someone with a similar moral compass more than anything, not necessarily someone religious, but someone with values. loyalty, modesty, patience. a softness. 

would people judge?

some would. especially from the outside. turkish and muslim communities (especially online) can have loud opinions when a famous young man is dating a non-Muslim or someone visibly outside of their culture. he’s already had viral moments, and a girlfriend who’s non-religious might stir the pot more, like random instagram comments like “she’s not halal�� or “you deserve better.” but would kenan care? not unless you did. he’s the type to ignore it unless it starts upsetting you - then he’s in your corner, protecting your peace.

also, this generation of Turkish youth, is much more chill than people assume. his circle probably wouldn't blink twice as long as the relationship looks healthy and respectful.

would his family accept it?

most likely: yes, if you’re genuine and kind.turkish families can be traditional, but they also value character. if you greet them respectfully, show interest in learning about their customs, and treat kenan well? that’s what they’ll care about. they might be a little more cautious or slow to warm up if you’re visibly outside of their world, but they’d respect a kind-hearted, sincere girl over a performatively religious one any day.

especially if kenan is happy and serious about you. his family would trust his judgment.

headcanons:

- he explains everything to you without being preachy. you ask why he doesn’t drink, and he gives you a quiet, thoughtful answer instead of acting defensive. you forget your period overlaps with ramadan and accidentally offer him water during the day, and he just laughs gently. he knows you’re learning.

- you support him during religious holidays, even if you don’t observe. you’re not fasting, but you still wake up early to eat suhoor with him. you still wait to have iftar together. he kisses your forehead after every prayer and says, “you don’t have to do any of this, you know.” but you just like being close to what matters to him. - he’s patient about everything. he never pressures you to believe. if anything, he’s lowkey about his own faith unless you ask. but when you do ask, he lights up, not in a missionary way, but in that “this is something i love and i’m honored you want to understand it” way.

yes, it could absolutely work - if you both lead with respect. kenan doesn’t give “i need a religious wife or nothing”. he gives “i need someone who loves me fully, and respects who i am, even the quiet parts of me.” so if you’re someone who uplifts him, doesn’t try to change him, and stays open to understanding him? then yes, you two would be golden.
