Do they have a sound they associate with peace?

Absolutely! He doesn't have a lot of things he can really associate with peace and comfort, but he has a few. He has his and his brothers' music, and while some remind him of eyes being drawn to them for the music, it can also remind him of how much fun they had demolishing as much as they could and driving up to their limits.

Another he has, I think, is Dead End and Drag Strip's voices, alongside they and Wildrider's favourite shows and movies. They're comfortable. They're usually safe. Dead End is the one he can depend on, who will break into his room during a meltdown just to be there in case something happens, and to say all the grim likelihoods of Breakdown's anxieties that are strangely calming to him.

Drag Strip for a slightly different reason, and after far much more time, but I think when Drag Strip overheats, he talks a lot to distract himself. When Breakdown's in pain, he needs heat and often loses his voice. Combination is Drag Strip: The Heating Pad That Vents to You.

When was the last time they broke a promise?

He often cried and begged Megatron and Motormaster to give him another chance; He could control his engine if he tried hard enough! He wouldn't hold his team down again! He broke that promise over and over. Constantly. Almost daily. His engine would shut down. He'd stall in traffic. He'd wreck one of his own brothers. Menasor would combine and yelp in pain because of Breakdown.

He would end up controlling it, though, to a degree. At least enough that he can actually care for it properly and get rest, especially after the war where he's not straining every part of himself day after day. Then is where he's less a soldier and more just a kid. His last broken promise being "yes mom I will go to bed before midnight" and then sleeping at five in the morning.

What do their hands feel like?

Metal, I suppose, but scratched and rough. It's banged up and worn, paint peeling off the edges and in the creases. His hands don't have an even feel at all, partly from battle, partly from how difficult it was to make hands so large. There are obvious lines and bolts where the different pieces connected, and looking at them hard enough, even the different craftsmanship between Megatron and Soundwave.

Is there something that, if lost, would break them?

Any one of his brothers. Whether they died, left, or lost their ability to combine. He doesn't feel complete without them, even after becoming and growing into himself. He's his own person, but he knows without his brothers, he's nothing, especially when they're all he's ever known. He's known them since before he's known himself. He can't imagine a world without all five of them, and even Protector A, sometimes!

As in an object, though, his legos. Yes I know that's not canon but it would kill him. He would feel horrible losing something gifted to him with such meaning!! From his big brother Devs, too!! He'd panic so hard about it. He couldn't imagine any good outcome until he actually, very anxiously and timidly tells Devs what happened, and the older mech has to call him down. Initial reaction most likely being "it's okay, I can get you more." Then going to be holding this poor little child and scratching at his helm.
