As I watch Ultraman 80 again (enjoying the better quality now), I discover things that I never noticed before.

When "the giant of light" (80's likely ancestor) fights Tabler, it reminds me of Rution battling Monogelos after they fell to Earth, following a pursuit from space. Also, with the mountains surrounding them.

Well, I guess it's Arc's another reference to a past series. Likely.

Unethical Executions in February

Demetrius Frazier is set to be executed in Alabama via nitrogen suffocation. This is a fairly new execution method, and early reports from witnesses and medical professionals raise concerns about prolonged deaths and unnecessary pain.

James Ford is set to be executed in Florida, despite psychological evaluation determining that he has the mental functions of someone around 11-14 years old. This should make him ineligible for execution, but the constitutional rules around executing intellectually disabled people are rarely enforced.

There is also Richard Tabler, who is set to be executed in Texas. There are no special issues with his case, but Texas is one of the most aggressive states when it comes to executions which raises ethical concerns on its own.

"Dad bod" Tarzan

P. Dempsey Tabler played the Lord of the Jungle in the 1920 film serial The Son of Tarzan, an adaptation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs novel by the same name.

Tabler had been an opera singer, an athlete, and apparently a founding member of Paramount Studios before taking this role, his first and only outing in the loincloth. I watched The Son of Tarzan several years ago and enjoyed it, but every time this guy was on screen I got completely thrown out of the film. I just couldn't buy him as Tarzan.

Hey, I went to the zine fest and absolutely it. I was wondering when the next zine fest would be and what the process of getting a table to sell there look like. Thank you so much for putting this on :)

Hi! Thanks so much for coming to PPZF & supporting all our zinesters! We're an annual event & try to have the zine fest on the first Saturday of October. We usually begin solidly planning around March/April.

To be an Exhibitor, you just have to fill out a tabler/exhibitor application when it's available (around July)!

Tables are first-come-first-serve, but so far we've been able to include all exhibitors who apply (be sure to reply to any follow up emails from us & send in your table payment to confirm your spot). Our application typically gets posted in June/July, staying open for about a month. Once the application closes, you can still fill it out for about another month or so to be put on the waitlist. You only need to have at least one zine & we want the focus to be on printed media, but folx sometimes also have other artist made items.

We're most active on IG (@ pikespeakzinefest) & will post about our application opening, as well as put the direct link in the menu of our tumblr/linktree! There's currently only 3 of us as volunteer organizers, so we're mainly active on our accounts closer to the event date.

Next week, on Feb. 13, Texas plans to execute Richard Tabler. It's the same day Florida intends to execute James Ford.

Richard's legal team has submitted an application with the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles, requesting that they recommend clemency to stop his execution. Your urgent action is needed to support Richard's clemency application.

Please send a message to the Texas Board today urging them to recommend clemency and save Richard's life.

As one of the first graduates of the Faith-Based Program on death row, Richard has experienced a profound personal transformation and now dedicates himself to being a positive influence on others.

If you haven't already, please also take action to oppose the executions of Steven Nelson, scheduled in Texas tomorrow (Feb. 5); Demetrius Frazier, scheduled in Alabama on Thursday (Feb. 6); and James Ford, scheduled in Florida on February 13.

Hi! I am so sorry to bother you. I've tried looking into how to do this myself and cannot seem to find anything that helps me or understand better. I was wondering how I can use more icons on the seashell navi. If I'm reading the code correctly, the latest version of the icons isn't included. I'm trying to use the ti ti-bubble and ti ti-users-group icons, but sadly, I cannot. Is there any way to update this on my own? Thank you! <3

hey no worries! if you go to the tabler icon website it will say what the most recent version is, right now it's v3.14.0.

in the code find the following section, it's towards the top
