When Poseidon uses Horse-Ody to go somewhere what kind of places does he usually go to?

Are there any particular moments when he takes off the covering over his eyes?

And how do he generally takes care of it? I mean does this poor stud even have a place to rest? Or does Poseidon give him food every now and then?

Also was there ever a time when Odysseus cried over his situation (unable to return home or be a man again) and Poseidon saw it?

He generally uses him to get anywhere he wants. Odysseus is one hell of a fast stallion. Able to easily cross the seas even through storms and waves. Breaking through them even without Poseidon. He would even bring him on Olympus. Just to brag about his new horse and how he broke him in. This also goes to the next questions!

Poseidon does take the whole bridle off of him, whenever he’s done riding. Being a beast stuck on the sea is a punishment enough in his eyes. He allows Odysseus to roam the sea as he pleases so he can graze on sea grass and whatever land plants are near the waters. Generally he would rest in the shallows. Or — if Poseidon takes him with him on land he would at the very least be kind enough to let the animal sleep for a little while.

And Poseidon certainly witnessed his grief often. Odysseus is angry with it- the months he spent attempting to buck the god off were ones of sheer agony and turmoil.

However Poseidon is not there to witness his worst breakdown since. When he realised his life has been turned eternal and it’s been a long while since all those he loved passed of old age.

What was it like for Poseidon to put the covering over Horse-Odysseus' eyes? Did Poseidon have to chase for a long time or was it easy to capture Odysseus and put it to him?

Initially Poseidon had to stay on Ody’s back for three whole months, until Odysseus was finally too tired to run wildly and buck. That naturally took quite a bit of energy from him, and in that time Poseidon had commissioned Hephaestus to create the bridle. Odysseus was simply too tired to do much running. And after it was placed on, he simply couldn’t see where he could even go, relying on Posieson to be led.

how did he use this in the Trojan war? did the greeks bring wolves along to help him not be easily spotted? how do wolves feel about him, when/if he pretends to be one of them to not be spotted by the enemy?

is it even common knowledge, or something of a state secret about the pelt?

since it's selkie-inspired, does Calypso take his pelt from him, even if it doesn't have the "now he can't leave you" quality?

how is he gonna lose one or both eyes in this AU?

I imagine they did bring at least a few! Odysseus uses the form to hide himself amongst the natural forest animals of Troy, it’s perfect for surveillance! And for standing guard.

It’s a secret, but mostly just from outsiders of the Achaean army. Theres also an effort to keep it only to the highest of figures in the ranks. And of course the people of Ithaca either know or speculate.

And she most definitely does. There’s actually a bit of a scene I have in mind of her attempting to rip of off him, but he was in the middle of transformation. So the skin is destroyed and he’s left beastly, which Calypso tries to “fix” to make him look more like a normal man. But she cannot undo the damage.

Hermes provides him with a brand new pelt, since only his own descendants can do so, and Ody’s mother is dead and cannot hunt him a new wolf pelt to give to her son. Hermes does it himself!

And as for his eye— Poseidon. As always haha!

Hey!I wanted to ask you this few questions

in the Au named the Trojan horse what kind of relationship do Odysseus and Poseidon have?

Does Poseidon only see Odysseus as his mount is or does he treat him in a slightly more "human" manner?

How does Odysseus see Poseidon? Is Odysseus angry with him? can he rebel?

above all... does Odysseus have a place to sleep? or sleeps on the sea?

Hi hi! Glad to see someone interested!

The relationship between them is very much Poseidon simply treating Odysseus as a pet, his horse, his mount who just happens to have the intelligence of a human. He does tend to have almost one sided conversations, with Odysseus replying in the only ways he can: body language, snorting, general horse sounds.

Oh Odysseus is very much displeased with his situation, and it gets worse at the end of his (living) story. He does get very sassy with Poseidon, although he can’t simply buck him off anymore ever since Poseidon commissioned a brittle from Hephaestus that covers his eyes- although he doesn’t have it on him at all times. As he’s not being used as a mount at all times! He generally rests at the sea, beneath it even. Or in Poseidon’s presence when he’s actually allowed to take a break on the shores. (As he’s can only stay one the sea- Poseidon can take him on land since he *is* the sea.)

But yes. He’s very, very sassy. If he feels particularly vexed with Poseidon he acts as if he’s a simple horse, chewing on grass and acting oblivious, rolling in dirt and mud. Which greatly annoys Poseidon.

I know you mentioned Fishysseus eating bones/clams to annoy Poseidon but is there any specific seafood he prefers?

He does seem to have a preference for clams and crustaceans, but he eats what he can! He misses the taste of cooked meat however.

The little “he’ll never be human again” thing you did on Tuesday, made me picture some big as separate thingy, whatever you called em, swimming over to Poseidon and staring into his soul, waiting for head pats or pets. Like a cat or dog. I dunno what kinda animal does that, my dog runs away from me 😔

Funnily enough he Is still not so fond of Poseidon!

Odysseus horse version, guide of the seas, exactly what role should he have in the Hades game?

I ask since according to the AU section he would be linked to that AU

Oh yes!! In the game I imagine he’s mostly just another character to add to the story, perhaps giving Zagreus a trinket to ease his way. As a companion, he would get the ability to jump out of Styx and lead away wenches within his reach away from Zagreus!
