Hello, I’m one of your followers and I really like your works! And I wanted to share with some ideas for a fanfics about Epic the musical(Odysseus is transgender in every one).
Okay, here’s the first one, she based on @1000cavalry idea “Odysseus of Troy”. So here Athena managed to convince Paris to give apple to her and said that she will give him the world most smartest human, and showed him Odysseus. Paris was captured by the king of Ithaca beauty and give the golden apple to Athena and they both sailed to Ithaca to kidnap Odysseus.
The second one idea is where Odysseus becoming a god and also the advisor of the gods. So here things happened before Trojan war but after Odysseus and Penelope married and had a son. Odysseus had a unique talent to make different silhouettes any he wish from shadows and call it the shadow play. He also was very handsome and his talent and beauty captured eyes of the gods, Zeus decided that such a talent shouldn’t be wasted in mortal realm and then kidnapped Odysseus. After Odysseus arrived on Olympus he became immortal and got the new features(mostly bird ones) such as six wings on his back, two little antenna wings on his head and four ears. Odysseus becoming the god of shadows and making shadow plays for gods entertainment. But even as an immortal god Odysseus still visit his wife and son. You can choose any ship you want but I would like to see Zeus/Odysseus, Poseidon/Odysseus and Apollo/Odysseus.
The next one is with Poseidon/Odysseus. So here it’s based on @tagzpite “Fishysseus au” but with some changes. Odysseus is a beautiful king of Ithaca who captured eyes of Poseidon. Poseidon tried seduce Odysseus but he rejected because Odysseus was loyal to Penelope. Angered by rejection Poseidon turn Odysseus into a hideous sea monster with six wings on his back, four ears, shake like tail instead of legs and giant eye in the centre of his chest. Odysseus find a lair which become his new home, soon enough Odysseus found two little sirens and with it little sirens think that Odysseus is their “mother”. And sometimes even call him like that, but Odysseus don’t mind it at all.
wow wow wow!
Okay firstly, I unfortunately do mind of the idea that Odysseus is trans in these ideas, not because I am transphobic, but because I myself am not trans despite being gender-fluid! (Gender-fluid is sometimes considered to be under the trans umbrella)
But regardless I do not share the same feeling as one might for someone who is trans! I hope you understand what I am trying to say!
However! I find these ideas quite interesting and I will keep some in consideration!
Thank you for your ask and I am honored that you like my works!

Odyssey Mermaid AU ideas (inspired by @dootznbootz 's post and @tagzpite 's Fishysseus AU ):
On account of their naiad genes, Telemachus and Penelope can turn their legs into mermaid tails when wet.
Instead of sailing to find his father, Telemachus swims out to sea using his merman tail to find him. Meanwhile Penelope has to stay behind and rule Ithaca in his absence. And instead of asking Menelaus, Telemachus decides to ask Poseidon himself.
Instead of a sea nymph saving Odysseus from drowning, Telemachus in his merman form finds and saves him. As in the poem, Telemachus would swim them both to Phaecia as it's the nearest land, then his tail turns back into legs.
Once Telemachus and Odysseus are safely on land, they get to know each other. Cue emotional father-son reunion much sooner than in the poem. Telemachus would instantly get his dad up to speed on what's happened in Ithaca since his absence.
The rest of the story is just like in the original poem.

Obsessed with your fishsseus au, he's so hfsdufheuwhfuewhfw
I love him, I'll try to draw him at some point
Got any lore, fun facts or anything to tell us about the au?
I can sum up a few! One of Ody’s eyes is actually still able to see light and shadow, hence why I draw his left eye with a light pupil rather than full white like the other one.
Slight body horror warnings on some of these.
He has shark teeth.
He crunches of bones and clams to annoy Poseidon whenever he’s on his routine check up to torment.
The gills on his sides, under his arms over his ribs, are three on each because they are slashed in by Poseidon’s trident.
His tail has a colour shifting effect! Depending on how the light hits it that’s what colour you’ll see. I made attempts to make that obvious in my art.
His spines are venomous!
He sheds like a snake, which is great on his tail but on his human parts where scales are in patches and thin layers, it can be a pain.
Poseidon turned his shed into jewellery, since it’s a mix of fish and snake scale, it’s actually colourful.
He’s basically immortal in the terms of a life span.
His jaw can unhinge slightly wider than a normal human jaw.
Most of his innards are actually in his tail now, his chest is all lungs. Plus he’s got a second “back up heart” in his tail to help pump blood.
He has a third eyelid that prevents water from damaging his already sensitive eyes.
Since his eyes were pretty much destroyed, he can’t cry.

When Poseidon uses Horse-Ody to go somewhere what kind of places does he usually go to?
Are there any particular moments when he takes off the covering over his eyes?
And how do he generally takes care of it? I mean does this poor stud even have a place to rest? Or does Poseidon give him food every now and then?
Also was there ever a time when Odysseus cried over his situation (unable to return home or be a man again) and Poseidon saw it?
Yeah sorry for the many question but I'm really interested about this AU!
Hello!!! I am very happy to answer!!! :D
He generally uses him to get anywhere he wants. Odysseus is one hell of a fast stallion. Able to easily cross the seas even through storms and waves. Breaking through them even without Poseidon. He would even bring him on Olympus. Just to brag about his new horse and how he broke him in. This also goes to the next questions!
Poseidon does take the whole bridle off of him, whenever he’s done riding. Being a beast stuck on the sea is a punishment enough in his eyes. He allows Odysseus to roam the sea as he pleases so he can graze on sea grass and whatever land plants are near the waters. Generally he would rest in the shallows. Or — if Poseidon takes him with him on land he would at the very least be kind enough to let the animal sleep for a little while.
And Poseidon certainly witnessed his grief often. Odysseus is angry with it- the months he spent attempting to buck the god off were ones of sheer agony and turmoil.
However Poseidon is not there to witness his worst breakdown since. When he realised his life has been turned eternal and it’s been a long while since all those he loved passed of old age.

I was wondering...could you give us an idea of the scars on his face? I would love to draw him but I wanna make sure I get the scars you did right and having an idea or a reference would be nice.
here he is!! he also has very subtle scales on his face that go down his neck but they gain colour as they go lower to his shoulders.
The scar starts at the right eye right at the corner of it, it’s a little lighter on the left eye as a result but it’s still bad enough to fully take the sight out of it since it was pierced. So as it goes to the left the weaker it is. His left ear is also consequently lightly nicked!

In your idea of Fishysseus, how is Poseidon treated of Odysseus? more like a person/prisoner or with indifference?
I also didn't understand if Odysseus is completely blind or partially.
Anyway I love your drawings and your idea!! I hope you make more drawings or a story with us!! (Sorry for my bad english but I'm italian)
I would describe it almost as if Odysseus was a pet. He often checks in on him, to taunt him and such. All highly depending on his mood, he’s especially displeased whenever Odysseus breaks the chains and attempts to get to Ithaca. He would often cause fish to no longer be near the area, yet letting ships sail past so Odysseus has no other choice to hunt.
He is basically completely blind in a sense! One of his eyes is entirely unseeing while the other can only perceive light and dark, but he can’t see any colours or such. Barely even shapes.
And I definitely plan on more art!! A for the story, some of it is already out thanks to the lovely @prompted-wordsmith who I am collaborating on the project with! While the story is i pires by Epic and the events there, it’s also of course based off of the original book in many cases instead.

What was it like for Poseidon to put the covering over Horse-Odysseus' eyes? Did Poseidon have to chase for a long time or was it easy to capture Odysseus and put it to him?
Initially Poseidon had to stay on Ody’s back for three whole months, until Odysseus was finally too tired to run wildly and buck. That naturally took quite a bit of energy from him, and in that time Poseidon had commissioned Hephaestus to create the bridle. Odysseus was simply too tired to do much running. And after it was placed on, he simply couldn’t see where he could even go, relying on Posieson to be led.

Are there any other scenes you plan to draw from Fishysseus?
also which animal Ulysses' tail was inspired by in detail??
I also wanted to ask in the drawing where Poseidon holds him on his fingers... what does Odysseus feel? because Poseidon seems amused let's say but Odysseus? What do you think about your situation in detail?
Oh definitely a couple more! I have already drawn the one with suitors and I do wish to draw Odysseus attacking a ship at some point!
And Odysseus’ tail was loosely based off of a combination of a sea snake and an eel. Although very, very loosely and mostly just from my own imagination.
And the scene with Poseidon, Odysseus feels mostly irritation, anger, frustration, and all that. He’s not exactly very happy about being treated like a pet. While he does watch himself to honor go too far with his tempter as to actually piss Poseidon off, he lets it be known.

Hey!I wanted to ask you this few questions
in the Au named the Trojan horse what kind of relationship do Odysseus and Poseidon have?
Does Poseidon only see Odysseus as his mount is or does he treat him in a slightly more "human" manner?
How does Odysseus see Poseidon? Is Odysseus angry with him? can he rebel?
above all... does Odysseus have a place to sleep? or sleeps on the sea?
Hi hi! Glad to see someone interested!
The relationship between them is very much Poseidon simply treating Odysseus as a pet, his horse, his mount who just happens to have the intelligence of a human. He does tend to have almost one sided conversations, with Odysseus replying in the only ways he can: body language, snorting, general horse sounds.
Oh Odysseus is very much displeased with his situation, and it gets worse at the end of his (living) story. He does get very sassy with Poseidon, although he can’t simply buck him off anymore ever since Poseidon commissioned a brittle from Hephaestus that covers his eyes- although he doesn’t have it on him at all times. As he’s not being used as a mount at all times! He generally rests at the sea, beneath it even. Or in Poseidon’s presence when he’s actually allowed to take a break on the shores. (As he’s can only stay one the sea- Poseidon can take him on land since he *is* the sea.)
But yes. He’s very, very sassy. If he feels particularly vexed with Poseidon he acts as if he’s a simple horse, chewing on grass and acting oblivious, rolling in dirt and mud. Which greatly annoys Poseidon.

oh I understand
It's definitely an unusual but interesting AU.
But one question... Is Odysseus still... sentient? I mean does he remember who he was or something or is he totally an animal now? (well totally a horse)
also does he need to eat?
honestly I feel really sorry for him poor guy, he was so close to Ithaca..
He is! He very much remembers who he is. He acts like an animal however, going along with the new instincts with the intelligence of well, himself. So that’s one hell of a smart horse. And he very much still gives sass to Poseidon. Purposefully being more “horse like”when it’s inconvenient.

Earlier you said none of the crew survive to bear witness Odysseus's transformation into a sea monster. But what if I told you that there was one person on Odysseus ship who did witnessed his new form, and his name is Achaemenides, who was part of Odysseus's crew before he was left behind on the cyclops's Island until he was rescued and recruited by Aeneas from the Epic Poem known as the Aeneid.
So imagine Aeneas and his crew encountering a humanoid sea creature and they had no idea it's the infamous Odysseus, who's heard about Aeneas's exploits, specifically the ones where he somehow manages to bypass Charybdis and Scylla without losing anyone onboard, and it pisses Odysseus off because he had to sacrifice six of his men just to live another day.
So when Odysseus finally meets the famous Aeneas of Troy, he introduces himself as Ulysses of the Seven Seas and Poseidon's right-hand man and judges him to whether or not he and his fleet are fit to sail across his waters.
Aeneas plans on tricking the beast by giving him drugged wine, but Odysseus saw right through his plot and muses on killing him or not. When Aeneas begs him not to do this, it reminds Odysseus of the time when he begged Zeus not to make him kill a baby and force himself to choose himself over his brothers' lives. This causes him to spare Aeneas and his crew and give his fleet a pass.
The other Trojans looked at Odysseus, who turned away due to guilt and shame. The Trojans had no idea why this sea creature decided to let them live, but they rather not dwell on it and continued their duties on the ship.
Achaemenides, who recognized Odysseus instantly, watched his form shrink from afar until he was nothing more than a blimp.
When a Trojan asked if there was something on his mind, Achaemenides replies, "I'm fine. There's nothing to worry about."
Hi! As interesting as this idea certainly is, this story’s main focus is on the Odyssey as it’s inspired by Epic the Musical. And I would personally not on any way use the name Ulysses in anything I wrote or draw about Odysseus, as I consider the Roman version of the myths their own separate tales and Ulysses to be an entirely different person considering how I like Odysseus he is.
