it was exactly 1:03 am when your careful movements had screeched to an abrupt halt, and you swear your heart nearly lurched out of the confines of your chest as a large shadow loomed over you.

you instantly whipped around, mouth stuffed with food, slightly backing up against the refrigerator and glancing up at the man you call your husband— who was solely responsible for the jumpscare.

for a moment, you just stared at him with wide eyes, and he simply stared back. no words exchanged, the peaceful silence of the night replaced by the thumping of your own heartbeat being the only sound. you hastily swallow your food before finally parting your lips at last.

"you scared me!" you whisper-shouted, your hand flying up to press against your chest where your heart was still racing erratically.

finally, his expression shifted— his lips curving into a small, sheepish smile; lightly ruffling the back of his hair as he took a small step back.

his voice was thick with sleep, a touch deeper than usual.

your expression softened, the fright from earlier easing up as you gently closed the refrigerator behind you, now the only illumination in the kitchen being the soft golden hued dim light.

he assumed that maybe you had some business to finish in the bathroom, or that you had simply gotten up to fetch yourself a cool glass of water. so when 10 minutes passed with no sign of you coming back to bed, naturally, he was starting to feel the worry creep in. he was a man on a mission to find his wife and bring her back right where she belongs— in his arms, of course.

"it's not a big deal," he shook his head. "were you hungry?"

"want me to make you something?"

"no, no! it's okay, i just woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't fall asleep for some reason." you finally said, although warmth bloomed in your chest at the way your husband was willing to cook for you in the dead of the night just because his beloved wife had a small craving.

he nodded his head in understanding, the remnants of sleep in his eyes slowly beginning to fade away. you moved away from the refrigerator to walk towards the counter, bringing a glass forward. just before you could reach for the jug, you stilled.

in 2 strides, he had closed the distance. he was standing right behind you now, his broader frame hovering over you— the solidness of his chest almost pressing against your back, as he, too, reached for his glass, while his other hand absentmindedly came up to rest on your waist. your heart skipped a beat at the sudden proximity.

before you knew it, he was already bringing the glass to his lips. your gaze darted down at your own glass which he had also filled while he was at it.

"well, someone's quiet."

now you were pretty sure he was doing this on purpose now. his hand? still on your waist, his thumb drawing small, featherlight circles over your skin. and the man himself? still standing right behind you, the warmth of his body intertwining with yours.

you could very clearly hear the smirk in his voice.

you huffed, ignoring the way your cheeks warmed up as you gulped down your water.

"you're being awfully flirty for someone who just got up from bed," you shot, finally turning around to face him. and the moment you did? his face was close. too close.

"what, i can't flirt with my own wife whenever i please now?" he raised an eyebrow, leaning down just slightly— his nose lightly brushing against yours in a ticklish, teasing gesture.

you rolled your eyes in response, yet you couldn't help the smile spreading across your lips. you merely hummed, your hands sliding up to wrap around his neck, tugging him down towards you just slightly, and he leaned down instinctively. you placed a soft, fleeting peck on his lips, watching the way his playful expression softened. both of his arms had already found their way towards your waist, gentle and steady.

you giggled, slightly shaking your head. greedy. you reached up again, your lips claiming his in a sweet kiss, slow and unhurried. and he returned the kiss in no less than a second, each movement of his lips against yours speaking like a soft confession of his unwavering love and devotion for you. he pulled you closer towards him, his hold on you tightening��� but not uncomfortably. you instantly melted into him, nails gently grazing his scalp.

his lips tilted into the faintest smile in-between the kiss.

you immediately felt it, and smiled too.

So this is something that’s bothered me for years but I never said anything. I can’t stand people who write fanfiction with an original character as the main character but tag as x reader. Like giving your character a name AND physical description is not a reader insert story. I understand the gender specific/neutral tags or intending your character to be a specific race or size but there does come a point where isn’t no longer a reader insert and it’s just a regular OC.

I wanna believe that a lot of people don’t understand the tag but as fanfiction writers I know that’s not the case. A lot of people do it to get more views for their story which is so dumb to me. Either write an actual reader insert or add the proper tags. It’s not that fucking hard.

Also I purposefully tagged reader insert tags I’m into to see if others have this same issue and what they think. I can’t be the only one annoyed but I’m cool either way.

🔹 Giyuu Tomioka → Blinks. “But… I’m your husband.” Watches as you dramatically flop onto the counter, groaning about how unfair life is. Giyuu, completely lost, gently pats your head and mumbles, “Did you forget?” You grab his haori and whine, “But everyone ELSE has one!” He sighs, picks you up, and places you on his lap. “I’m literally right here.” When you wake up sober, he’s staring at you expectantly, waiting for an apology.

🔹 Sanemi Shinazugawa → Nearly chokes on his drink. “Huh?! The hell did you just say?!” Stands there, completely baffled, as you cry into your ramen about how you’re “so lonely.” He yanks your face up and growls, “You’re married to ME, idiot!” If you keep whining, he’ll grab your face and kiss you aggressively just to shut you up. “Say that again, I dare you.” The next morning, you wake up to him giving you the silent treatment.

🔹 Kyojuro Rengoku → BURSTS OUT LAUGHING. “AH! MY LOVE, HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN ME?!” Immediately picks you up and spins you around in his arms while declaring, “Fear not, for I shall be your boyfriend and husband both!” He’ll then spend the next hour showering you with compliments until you’re giggling again. The next morning, he teases you endlessly about it.

🔹 Tengen Uzui → “Oh? You don’t have a boyfriend? What a tragedy!” Smirks and plays along, even pulling out a fake tear. His wives giggle in the background as he dramatically sighs, “If only there were a dazzling, flashy man who would devote himself to you~” Eventually, he cups your face and whispers, “Oh wait. That’s ME.” The next morning, his wives keep reminding you of your ‘crisis’ just to fluster you.

🔹 Muichiro Tokito → Completely deadpan. “You’re married to me.” Watches as you dramatically sob into your drink. “You literally have a ring on your finger.” He tilts his head. “Do I not count?” You mumble, “You don’t count ‘cause you’re too perfect.” He pauses, blushes a little, then sighs. “You’re so dumb when you’re drunk.” Carries you to bed but secretly enjoys the attention.

🔹 Mitsuri Kanroji → GASPS. “OH NOOO, MY LOVE!!” Immediately cuddles you and reassures you that you’re the most loved person in the world. “I’LL BE YOUR GIRLFRIEND AND BOYFRIEND IF YOU WANT!!” She even makes a whole list of reasons why you’re adored. The next day, she excitedly asks if you remember her ‘love speech.’

🔹 Obanai Iguro → “...Are you serious?” Looks completely betrayed. You keep whining, not noticing how his grip on his cup tightens. “You’re MARRIED to me. How the hell do you not have a boyfriend?” When you drunkenly say, “You’re my husband, not my boyfriend,” he stares at you like you’ve committed a crime. Kaburamaru hisses in agreement. The next morning, he ignores you until you apologize properly.

🔹 Gyomei Himejima → Soft sigh. “I see.” Gently wipes your tears as you ramble about being ‘unloved.’ Then, with zero hesitation, he pulls you into his lap and starts listing all the ways he cherishes you. “You are loved beyond measure.” The next day, he reminds you that even in your drunkest moments, he will always reassure you.

🔹 Kokushibo → Silent for an entire minute. Stares at you as if you just grew another head. “You… do not have a boyfriend?” Watches you dramatically throw yourself onto the table. “Impossible.” Finally, he exhales deeply and pulls you against his chest. “You are MY wife. That is beyond a mere boyfriend.” The next day, he reminds you that your ‘foolish drunken words’ made him question your intelligence.

🔹 Douma → GASPS SO LOUDLY. “OH, HOW COULD THIS BE?!” Dramatically grabs you and cradles you while fake-crying. “HOW COULD YOUR BOYFRIEND ABANDON YOU LIKE THIS?!” Then he kisses your forehead. “Oh wait, that’s me~” He spends the next hour teasing you, calling himself your ‘brand-new’ boyfriend.

🔹 Akaza → “WHAT?!” Nearly falls out of his chair. “You—you don’t—Y/N, I’M RIGHT HERE!!” If you keep complaining, he grabs your face and forces you to look at him. “I’M YOUR BOYFRIEND. YOUR HUSBAND. SAY IT.” When you refuse, he gets pouty and hugs you from behind, sulking. The next morning, he’s grumpy until you remind him he’s your favorite.

🔹 Muzan Kibutsuji → Does not move. “Excuse me?” Raises an eyebrow as you drunkenly cry into your soup. Watches you go on and on about being ‘so single.’ Finally, he tilts your chin up, smirking. “Would you like me to find you a new boyfriend, then?” (Translation: Say yes, and you die.) The next day, you wake up to him watching you. “Say it again. I dare you.”

🎴 Main Three + Genya

🔹 Tanjiro Kamado → SO CONFUSED. “But Y/N… I’m right here?” When you keep whining, he gently takes your hand and kisses your wedding ring. “Does this not mean anything?” He patiently waits for you to realize before wrapping you in a warm hug.

🔹 Zenitsu Agatsuma → STARTS WAILING EVEN LOUDER THAN YOU. “YOU DON’T HAVE A BOYFRIEND?! BUT YOU HAVE ME!!!!” Literally grabs your hands and shakes you. “DO I MEAN NOTHING TO YOU??” Probably ends up crying with you. The next morning, he reminds you dramatically of your betrayal.

🔹 Inosuke Hashibira → “WHAT?!” Looks around like he’s about to fight someone. “WHO STOLE MY GIRL?!” When you say, “No one, I just don’t have a boyfriend,” he snarls, “I’M YOUR BOYFRIEND, DUMBASS!!” (Is ready to throw hands with the air.) The next day, he’s grumpy and demands an apology.

🔹 Genya Shinazugawa → COMPLETELY SHORT CIRCUITS. “H-HUH?! BUT WE’RE M-M-MARRIED???” Face turns BRIGHT red. When you keep whining, he stammers, “B-But I thought—D-Does this mean nothing to you?!” When you wake up, he’s still sulking. “So… do you still think you don’t have a boyfriend?”

And upon the first bite, he had to fight the urge to scrunch his face in both surprise and disgust. Not wanting to hurt your feelings, he gave you a shaky thumbs up with a simple "It's...really good."

— A teddy bear in the shape of a man and enthusiastic to be used as one! As a Hashira, Kyojuro is often kept away for days and weeks at a time, so he makes the most of every moment you spend together.

— Kyojuro's not happy unless he's got his arms full of his favorite person, so you can expect him to seek you out the moment he arrives home.

— If you’re a civilian and he finds you in the kitchen, he’ll drape himself over you from behind, nuzzling his face into your neck and lavishing it with smiling kisses, rugged hands settling on your hips.

— Kyojuro wants to be cuddled to sleep and truly can’t bear to be parted from you, no matter how swelteringly hot it gets in the summer months. And if he has obligations, he tries to wake up a little early so he can have a few minutes of cuddle time with you before he’s whisked away. You don’t even have to be awake for it, he just wants to hold you for a little while <3

— He started out as a big spoon but converted into a little spoon when he discovered what it felt like to be properly held. He’s no more content than he is when he’s got his back pressed to your chest and you’ve curled yourself around his broad frame. 

— He likes it best when you rub his belly when his eyes are too big for his stomach, always easing a bit of the discomfort <3

— Kyojuro is comfy to lay on, with two perfect pillows for you to rest your head on (his pecs <3). His muscles are quite soft when relaxed, and the way his heart stutters when your cheek rests on it is so cute.

— Kyojuro feels safe in your presence so he’s very prone to falling asleep on your shoulder or with his head in your lap. With his workload and inconsistent sleep schedule, he’s often a cuddle session away from nodding off. Particularly so when you start playing with his flaxen hair, it’s like his off-switch 🤭

— He’s a bit of an oversized lapdog and’ll climb into your lap every chance he gets. As far as he’s concerned, that’s his seat. It looks funny to outsiders if he’s bigger than you, but he hardly cares, all too eager to get all comfy in your lap and tell you about his day.

— Big, tough man too cool to cuddle? No sir. Tengen is a touchy lover and raises a brow when you try to sit anywhere other than his lap, like why aren't you in your assigned seat? 🤨

— Pulls you flush against his side every chance he gets, wrapping a heavy arm around your shoulders. You often get a companion wet kiss to the cheek to boot just to see you scrunch your face up and wipe his spit off your cheek >:(

— His wives are just like him– Suma especially who practically hangs off of you with those big doe eyes, clinging onto your arm during outings as a group. Between Tengen and Suma, your hands will never be lonely and you'll certainly never be cold. Those two are space heaters and can't keep their hands off their partners to save their lives.

— Makio is easily flustered by affection but ultimately craves it, even if getting her to admit it is like pulling teeth. A hopeless romantic at heart <3 She’s a big spoon and overheats easily, so she prefers to linger on the edges of the cuddle piles. She’ll smack your thigh if you move around too much with an annoyed grumble. She can be such a meanie sometimes 😔

— Hinatsuru doesn’t mind holding or being held, she just wants to be close to you. Though generally more soft-spoken than Makio, Tengen, and Suma, her affectionate touch translates her love for her partners so clearly. Often rubs soothing circles over your back, rests a comforting hand on your arm, and pets your hair while you cuddle.

— Tengen likes to talk when you cuddle, prattling on about his or your day while rubbing your side or back mindlessly. Most times, he talks you to sleep or vice versa, considering what a busy guy he is before retirement. Sometimes you’ll get caught up in deep conversations about your past lives, silly theories, or ping-pong flirtatious banter until you can barely keep your eyes open.

— Tengen likes it most when you and the wives crawl right on top of him, all to eager to be living furniture for his beautiful spouses while you all gossip and giggle to each other.

𝐎𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐈 𝐈𝐆𝐔𝐑𝐎 & 𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐈 𝐊𝐀𝐍𝐑𝐎𝐉𝐈

— Dare I say the clingiest partners ever?

— Obanai hesitates where as Mitsuri openly throws herself into your arms at every opportunity. Just be patient and take things slow and he'll follow Mitsuri's example. It’s a subtle shift, maybe he leans his head on your shoulder to test the waters, unable to meet your eyes. He melts if you wrap an arm around his shoulders and rub his arm, eyelids drooping as he relaxes further against you.

— Mitsuri is a cuddle bug in every sense of the word, like a tiny, purring kitty rubbing its body against your legs when you come near. You swear she chirps like one too, especially when her affections are met with a head pat or tender kiss.

— Obanai won’t say it, but he likes it when he’s in the middle, tucked safely between his two favorite people. The three of you spend many long hours this way, just relaxing in each other's embrace before your obligations call you away from the cuddle puddle– with no shortage of complaints from your lovers (Obanai’s longing wistful look as you go is just as painful as Mitsuri’s whines)

— Their clinginess only worsens as your relationship progresses, I’m afraid 💀 Obanai has a death grip comparable to a boa constrictor, especially when he’s in a deep sleep.

— I have a vivid image in my mind of Mitsuri having to use her insane strength to pry his arms off of you and scooch herself in your place so you can pee in the middle of the night, barely able to stifle her giggles. (Obanai is very much this meme)

𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐉𝐈𝐑𝐎 𝐊𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐎

— Touch starved but doesn’t know it, and is also unintentionally touchy. Until he isn’t. Until his touches seem all too intentional, never without meaning.

— Cuddling with you is one of his favorite activities and he’ll even schedule official cuddle time if you let him, so you never go without the comfort of one another’s arms for long. He’ll even decline plans if it’s the wrong time of day…

“Sorry, I’d love to, but it’s almost four and I always cuddle with my partner around that time.”

— And no it’s not negotiable. What if he was late, or missed it and hurt your feelings? No no, he’s far too considerate for that.

— Besides, he misses cuddle time the most when he’s out in the field, miles away from your warm embrace. You can tell he’s missing you in the letters he sends home, commenting about how it “ sure is cold out here,” though the longer he goes without the less subtle he is, rephrasing how he misses you in every paragraph. Can you really blame him? He truly adores you so it’s hard to be away from you :((

— Prefers to be the little spoon but ultimately will be happy no matter how you’re cuddling. (I expand on little spoon Tanjiro in this post <3)

𝐈𝐍𝐎𝐒𝐔𝐊𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐀

— Instinctually touchy and yet so unused to cuddling. Inosuke doesn’t know much about positive affectionate touch so he tends to squirm out of hugs and gets a little anxious when you hold him still too long, much like a dog would. He asks you what you’re doing, voice a little softer than normal, cheeks a little pink beneath his mask.

“Cuddling you?” you reply, equally confused by his reaction as he is to your affection.  “Well stop it. It feels weird,” he huffs, and you comply, albeit a bit disheartened. You can’t help but be curious about his rejection, so you push past the sudden awkwardness of the moment to inquire about it. “Feels weird how?” “I don’t know! It just does!” he snaps defensively, a little frustrated, an emotion you can’t help but mirror. But then you relax, reminding yourself to be understanding. It must show on your face though, because he follows you around until he’s sure you aren’t mad at him. Your understanding nature is something he’s still getting used to as well.

— Take it slow with him if you can help it, form positive associations with touch, and then try again another time and he’ll be more receptive <3 REALLY receptive after a while, like before you know it you’ve got a stage 10 clinger on your hands 😭 

— Especially if you start sleeping together, cus he likes to cover you with his whole body as his way of protecting you while you’re in a vulnerable state.

— However, he will get bitchy if he catches you taking naps without him there to cuddle up to you. Like just say you don’t love him 😔 You’ll wonder why he’s giving you dirty looks and the cold shoulder all day, yeah it’s cus you didn’t immediately come find him to nap. Traitor.

— He associates cuddling with sleep so he’s prone to nodding off, and if you guide his head to rest on your chest and massage his scalp? He’s dead to the world, snoring and everything.

𝐙𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐒𝐔 𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐓𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐀

— You cannot pry this man off of you and I mean it. He was clinging to you before you were even an item, often to your leg, your kimono, your hand, wherever he can reach. If you reciprocate once, he’ll keep coming back for more of it. So touch starved it’s pitiable, and he’s smart enough to know that looking pathetic earns him sympathy.

— That said, he’s taken aback if you initiate cuddling, almost unable to fathom being desired. It’s only then that he gets a little shy, chuckling nervously as you take him into your arms. Doesn’t know what to do with himself.

— Zenitsu isn’t picky about how you cuddle, just that you’re touching in every way possible. Tangles his legs with yours, wriggles as close as humanly possible, and holds your clothing in an iron grip.

— Oftentimes he looks so blissed out when he’s wrapped up in your embrace, eyes half-lidded or drooping with sudden sleepiness. You’re just so comfortable, and comforting, and beautiful and aaaa before he knows it he’s muttering all these things to you.

You awaken slowly to a considerable weight on your chest, squinting with your eyes closed you feel around blindly and find the familiar shape of your husband sprawled out on top of you. You sigh, recognizing his snores and a smile tugs at your lips despite it being tough to breathe. Your palm rests on his back, bunching in the thick fabric of his hoari. Your eyes finally crack open, the morning light illuminating your fully-dressed partner. Must’ve been a long night, you mused to yourself, able to picture a half-asleep Zenitsu stumbling into bed so clearly in your mind. Though even his unconscious alter-ego tended to seek you out. You turn, shifting Zenitsu onto his side. He stirs, but only slightly, immediately tucking his head under your chin with a grunt. “Don’t go,” he murmurs in his sleep, most likely to a dream version of you and a fondness warms your chest. “Stay.”

Because of his tone and how he acts ( wanting to destroy mankind ), Tanjiro! Reader didn't trust him or his other colors because he reminded them of muzan and would often growl around him through their bamboo muzzle.

But when Google realized this, he began to act sweeter with everyone ( he did this only when Tanjiro! Reader was around then returned to his original self )

Tanjiro! Reader also sees humans as family like nezuko, so they began to see Googleplier as an older brother and now mostly hangs around him and his other colors.

They also made a flower crown for Google, and when they put it on his head while he was distracted, Yandere! Googleplier refused to take it off even when the flowers rotten.

It was a gift from his younger sibling, so why would he ever take it off when they gave it to him?

Summary:Originally he all hated man kind but it upset you..he didn’t like seeing them upset so he faked it till he made it. Even after you were a demon he still cared for his little sibling.

Google remembers meeting you, they all do. You were..different from the humans they’ve met or seen. You treated everyone no matter what they are with so much kindness and gentleness, you treated them like a normal human being and not an AI robot which confused them. After being turned demon you weren’t on the list of killing mankind yet they pretended they won’t do it as you got upset with that.

Google remembers just watching you make a flower crown. He had got you the flowers as you couldn’t go in the sun unless you had protection from the sun so he got you the flowers. He sat beside you as you made it. He was wondering who it was for until you put it on his head making him happy. “Thank you Y/N, I’ll cherish it forever” and he meant it when he said it as he wore that flower crown for a long time, even after it wilted he wore it completely not allowing anyone to take it off. That flower crown is beside his charging station to this day.
