-A few updates-

General Stuff:

Well, life has been generally pretty busy. And while that’s made it a little more challenging to do daily doodles as of late, it’s been alright for the most part. Some of you may have noticed though that a lot of my daily posts have been showing up as much as 1-2 hours later than the regular time. Unfortunately with all the stuff I’ve been taking care of lately, putting a daily doodle/drawing on top of the pile means it’ll be late very often. I kind of have an unofficial job irl now so this stuffs hard to juggle sometimes.

Hornet’s Strange Adventures:

Initially I was hoping to get a lot of stuff done for this game during October but some recent job stuff is making that pretty hard to do. I probably won’t be able to make any significant progress on this game until very late October and into November. So if you were looking forward to big updates on progress, it sadly won’t be for a while, sorry. Outside of that though, I can at least say that all the routes have been thoroughly planned out from start to finish including the secret route. This includes rewriting some choices that have already been seen during the game’s time on ssed.

About Doodle Requests

I haven’t had them open for a while anyway, but I’ve finally come to the decision that I will no longer be taking doodle requests through tumblr asks/inbox. As fun as it was in the beginning, I often found myself trying to fulfill requests on the daily and that was stressful. That being said, it doesn’t necessarily mean I’m stopping requests entirely. I just don’t really want to do them for free anymore. Since I’m on Hornet Journal Series still, it’s a long way away before anything happens, but there’s a likely chance I’ll only do commissioned doodle requests whenever they re-open. We’ll see as it gets closer though.

Thoughts on taking an actual break:

I’ve mentioned this a lot in the past both here on ssed and on my main blog, but I’ve been seriously considering taking a break. Like a real one. Not just a “I’m gonna stockpile a bunch of doodles and pick it back up when I run out” kind of break. Especially with the way life has been going lately (mostly positive at least), I feel as though I may have to retire from daily doodles somewhat soon if there is no official news by the time this blog hits its 2 year mark. Don’t get me wrong I’ve loved doing this for the almost two years that it’s been going but at some point I’ll have to move on from this whether I like it or not. Does this mean that activity on this blog stops altogether? No. I just won’t be doing daily doodles anymore. There’s a more likely chance it would end up being weekly, or possibly monthly. Just not daily anymore.

Whatever the case, that decision will be considered more when 2 years gets closer. Until then just enjoy daily doodles while they’re still here!

Story Summary: Mikey needs a lot of things. And his family does his best to provide. But sometimes, he has to work to get what he wants. He doesn’t mind. He’s an expert at it by now. Besides, the cast will come off eventually.

“Hey.”

Mikey keeps his voice soft, but friendly, trying not to spook him while also hoping for a reaction.

Donnie doesn't move. His upper body lies against the island surface. 

He keeps his cheek pressed against his arm, staring at the cast.

Raph and Leo's names are in his view. Mikey's is on the other side, along with a couple doodles, including Splinter and Ice Cream Kitty.

"You hungry?" He asks, because this is the first time that he'd found him in the kitchen. He isn’t sure if that means something or if Donnie is willing to share. It can’t hurt to ask though.

Normally, he's in the pit or his bedroom. Less often, he'll take cover in the dojo. Once they found him in the ShellRaiser. Not going anywhere. Just sitting in the corner, turning a screwdriver over in his hands.

It's been days since he last built anything with his tools.

"Donnie." He insists when his question goes unanswered. "Want me to make something?"

A subtle head shake. Mikey nods in acceptance, pulling out his t-phone. {donnie's in the kitchen}

"Leo thought you were watching TV." {doing what?}

"You sure you don't want a snack?" {nothing}

"Or drink, or somethin'?" {let me know if you need me}

Leo was up all day keeping the nightmares at bay. Mikey will not be doing that.

"That's a great idea." Mikey confirms with himself. "Let's do some pizzas."

Donnie looks up, frowning. He waves the concern away, “Pizzas are totally healthy! And filling! What does Sensei know?”

His older brother’s face deadpans. Mikey winks. “Trust me.”

Then he greets his precious kitty, removing her bowl from the freezer. "Watch her for me."

He sets her in front of Donnie and she immediately takes to sniffing his face, rubbing herself against his beak with a low purr. Mikey takes out the pizzas as Donnie lifts his head to wipe off the icecream from his face. She pushes herself into his lifted hand.

He obliges her as Mikey preheats the oven and watches out of the corner of his eye. His eyes are soft, but the bags under them are heavy. 

He lets them bond until the oven beeps and he can put the pizzas in. Setting the timer, he goes over to them and checks how much ice cream has pooled into liquid. It's a lot faster than usual, but they did spend a while playing earlier that day. She must not have had time to refreeze yet. 

"And now we wait." Mikey announces as he scoops up his kitty to give her a big smooch on the cheek. She mews happily as he licks his lips, "Love you too! Now go eat some icecubes and take a cat nap before you melt."

A happily meow goodbye as Mikey shuts the freezer. He goes over to the counter and picks up the cardboard container.

"Bro-bro." He walks to his other side, taking an island seat in his view. Donnie licks the ice cream from his fingers. "How's the arm. Does it hurt?"

Donnie flexes it and winces. He nods, slumping further in the seat.

"Aw, man." Mikey gets out his t-phone, shooting Raph a text. "Sorry we can’t get you the stronger stuff, dude."

His older brother looks at him. Mikey dumps out the container. "You know what we CAN do?"

Donnie stops a few rolling markers. Mikey flips the yellow one between his fingers before presenting it proudly. "We can make your night a little bit sunnier."

His older brother tilts his head, raising an eyebrow. He can almost hear the snark.

"Great idea." Mikey proclaims as he takes a careful hold of his hand to keep him still. "Bright ol' sun it is!"

Donnie rolls his eyes. Mikey gets right to work, keeping it simple since Raph stole the majority of the artistic talent in the family, and letting his mind wander to every subject that wouldn't stress his brainy brother out.

April getting an A on her test. Not April celebrating by breaking into the base that held him prisoner. Casey's latest skills at his hockey game. Not the way that same stick was used to trash the bots. Raph covering himself in sewage while trying to fill the sewer canon; the look on his face when Mikey managed to get a picture. Not the look in his eyes when he found the list of everything that Stockman was planning on doing to their brother. Leo's frantic search for some missing Space heroes memorabilia. Not the way his hands shook when he announced that they'd make the flyman pay. 

He spills everything that Donnie may not know because he has no voice to ask.

And avoids anything that Donnie doesn’t know because they pretend not to hear.

Donnie watches him. And Donnie smiles. It’s sad, but it’s progress.

And just as Mikey is running out of molehills to make mountains out of, two things happen.

Raph walks into the room, and the timer goes off.

“Raph!” He proclaims, shoving the marker into his hand. “Take over! My pizzas are calling me!”

Raph gives him a tired look and Mikey pretends not to notice the bruise on his shoulder. “You said it was important.”

“It is!” Mikey insists, very importantly. He hurries over to grab an oven mitt. “You’re an artist and you’re not arting! It’s criminal!”

“Uh-huh.” Raph walks over to the island. Donnie brings his arm to his chest, sheepish.

Mikey listens to the sound of markers uncapping, “Give it here.”

The pizzas come out and he sets them on the stove to cool. With a chef’s kiss to the air, he goes over to the fridge to grab a salad. Partly because Donnie isn’t actually going to eat unless he pairs it with something healthy. And partly because salad is a delicious side for pizza. He glances at Donnie’s face every now and then. 

He’s watching Raph draw. Not smiling. Not frowning. Just watching. 

His grumpy brother doesn’t say anything, more comfortable in the silence when he’s working.

Or maybe Raph’s still uncomfortable with the one-sided nature, all these nights later. 

“Where’s my blue cheese?!” Mikey demands, purely because blue cheese ranch is delicious and this destruction of his kitchen is not something he will stand for. “Who did it?!”

Raph and Donnie look at him and then each other. Mikey scowls.

Raph shrugs, “That stuff is disgusting.”

Donnie nods, knowingly.

“You heathens!” He gasps. “It was half full!”

“I didn’t do anything to it.” Raph grumbles. “Just get out the normal ranch.”

Quickly, Donnie lifts his hand to finger spell. “Light.” 

“EVIL!!” Mikey firmly spells back, even as he collects it from the fridge.

Raph looks between them and quickly signs, “Shut up, idiot.”

As Mikey gasps in offense and Donnie snorts, their hothead resumes his work. “You can’t learn the alphabet but you’ll learn all the mean words?!”

Raph responds with a word that has Mikey instinctively checking the doorway. Donnie shakes his head with a breathless laugh, signing, “Mikey knew.”

“Donnie’s right.” Raph adds in confidently. “Can’t know what I said unless you learned the word. And since I know it’s not in the notebook…”

“I was curious.” Mikey huffs. “I wasn’t gonna use it.”

Donnie adds something, but after the S, Mikey doesn’t understand the rest. He looks at Raph but their brother is looking at the cast, not his hands. “All I got was Splinter.” He admits sheepishly. “Sorry, bro.”

Donnie repeats it. Mikey shrugs, “It’s not the speed. Just… Don’t know it.”

The life in his eyes from the conversation fades as he nods reluctantly. Mikey tries, “You want me to get the notebook? Or a paper?”

It’s a long shot, but Donnie only shakes his head. Raph momentarily looks up before he locks his gaze back on the cast. Mikey turns to dump some ranch on the salad, thinking hard. 

Lifting the bowl, he walks over to Raph and roughly bangs it down beside him. His older brother’s head shoots up, startled, as Mikey innocently peeks over his shoulder. “Why a manhole cover?”

“Felt like it.” Raph grumbles, filling the area around the strangely detailed cover with pleasing colors. “Not asking for critiques.”

“Hmm. Okay, stalling’s over!” He brings the salad back to the counter and then goes to collect Donnie. Taking him by the good arm, he earns a surprised look from his taller brother and a frown from the marker-capping brother. “Pizza time!”

Mikey lets him make his own plate. And then he plucks it from his hand.

“Leo?” Donnie signs as Mikey adds pizza to his plate because salad is a side item. Raph leans against the counter, biting into a slice. “Think he’s still sleeping.”

Mikey hands him back his plate. His older brother takes it, avoiding his eyes.

He confidently pulls out his t-phone and dials. Donnie looks at him as it rings, uncertain as he puts it up to his mouth and calls, “Get your pizza before it goes cold!” before hanging up.

Donnie forcefully signs, “Why?!”

Better translated as: “He was sleeping what is wrong with you?!”

“Meal time.” Mikey says cheekily. “Had to let him know.” 

Donnie glares at him. Raph heads into the main room. Mikey goes to get some fun ingredients.

Leo comes in as he heaps them on the counter. He rubs his eye, muttering, “Just in time.”

“Mornin’ sleepyhead!” Mikey grins. “Get some good zzz’s?” 

Donnie awkwardly moves out of Leo’s way as he heads for the pizza. “More or less.”

Leo grabs a slice and Mikey grabs his wrist. His older brother sends him a look. He releases to pass a quickly sign of, “Sad.” before nodding pointedly at their brother. Leo looks to Donnie, who’s staring blankly down at his pizza.

He nods, goes back to loading his plate, and says, “How’s it going, Dee?”

His head shoots up. He looks to Leo and then Mikey. Mikey passes a thumbs up.

He gets a moment to collect himself before Leo turns, doing a flash of motions that Mikey barely catches. Their leader always did like his ninja hand signals.

Donnie responds with an hesitant, “I know.” He looks at his cast before he finger spells, “But…” 

He stops, but Mikey isn’t sure if that means he doesn’t know what to sign or he doesn’t know what to say.

Leo doesn’t let him think on it.

This time, Mikey catches words like “not” and “okay.” 

He really needs to get more practice in. He doesn’t want to ask Leo for the notebook in front of Donnie, because then Leo will ask why he needs it again when he already had it for two nights, and if Mikey admits how frustrating it is to learn, Donnie will feel bad and go back to not talking at all. And then where will they be? Too many steps backward, that’s where.

He’ll just study harder when it’s his turn again.

Donnie shifts, uncomfortable. Mikey tears his gaze from where it strayed to the kitchen cabinet. 

Then, he signs a soft, “Thank you.”

“No problem.” Leo smiles and carries the plate over, clapping him on the shoulder as he passes by. “I’ll be in my room.”

Then their eldest is gone and Mikey is free to go wild. He grins smugly at Donnie, shaking the bag of jellybeans. “Wanna help?”

His older brother raises an eye ridge. He tries to make the shakes a little more tantalizing, “It’ll be fuuuun!”

Donnie walks over to the take the bag. Mikey eagerly grabs the mushrooms. 

“Now to make some real pizzas.”

Mikey beams. With a lighthearted eye roll, Donnie smiles back.

It’s a little less sad than before, and it’s all Mikey wants.

Long ramble (discusses ex radqueer stuff, grooming, abuse, a bit about cults)

Been thinking about that time I ran a MOGAI-themed blog named @mogaiballs. I drew little doodles of neolabels in a simple style. People seemed to like it. It was fun for a while but I started feeling stressed trying to keep up with requests + posting regularly. Then I stopped posting. This was in 2021 when I was 15 years old.

Then a few months later I made another blog where I posted the same type of thing, except it had a paraphilia and transID focus. Basically a radqueer version of @mogaiballs. I wasn't trying to hide that I was the same person. I kept the same distinct art style.

But nobody seemed to notice. Nobody made a post that was like, "oh no, our beloved @mogaiballs has turned to the dark side and is now posting about Pedophile Ball Pride and seems to be contact neutral?!" Which felt odd considering how it was soon-ish after plurgai was getting cancelled for basically being the same, but strongly anti-contact (plurgai’s opinions on that seem to have changed since then, but I digress). At the time I didn’t really have strong opinions on contact discourse and didn't say much about it even though I was posting paraphilia pride.

Sometimes I even made edits including pro-contact labels. For a brief time I edited on a radqueer wiki that had a proud pro-contact as its admin, and it didn't really click for me how bad that was until (if I remember correctly) he got cancelled for grooming minors and watching CSEM. Which in hindsight, wasn't that surprising, considering the fact he frequently posted memes (""jokes"") about grooming/CP on his pediverse social media. That was near the end of all of this. This was like 2024 and I was 18, and I think that maybe finally started me down the path of realizing how fucked up everything around me was. That what I thought of as acceptable to believe had been completely warped.

Now I see that "contact discourse" is actually fucking important and it’s awful to pretend that it doesn’t matter. I look at the radqueer community and a lot of what I feel is disgust. I wish I acted differently. For so long I thought radqueer stuff was the solution to so many of society’s problems, that I was part of the secret revolution, now I feel like I wasted years of my life being obsessed with a stupid child grooming / animal rape apologia community. (And sure, some people there weren't pro-contact, but is that really enough?)

I made a lot of other accounts for posting radqueer stuff. Mostly pride edits and occasional discourse posts. I made new accounts frequently and tried to stay semi-anonymous. (Here's a link to just one of many.)

Sometimes I wonder if I ever influenced someone to get into the radqueer community or stay in it. If I ever influenced someone getting groomed into pro-contact ideology. If my blogs ever led to abuse. I don't have proof, but I feel like they lead to someone going through what I went through, at least a little bit.

I’m not sure how much I should think of myself as a grooming victim or someone who was contributing to the problem. I feel like I can’t be a "traditional/real grooming victim" because it was less like being groomed by one person for the purpose of being abused, and more like being groomed a little bit semi-anonymously by a hundred people over a long time. I think I was 15 years old when I started identifying as radqueer / something similar, 18 when I stopped. though I never told people about my age. Some people would probably describe me as a "child groomed by the radqueer community". But people also say that when you turn 18, you should know better and your actions are your responsibility. I think it's somewhere in-between - I made really awful, stupid decisions that hurt people but at the same time I was young/lonely/dumb/unwell and being influenced by others.

For the future... I think I should have more honest connections to people in real life. I should be open and honest and tell people about my feelings. I think that's what finally pulled me out of this. Talking to someone in real life about the radqueer community, after years of holding back, thinking that no one else could understand, and being ... idk, radicalized? There's been a lot of debate about whether or not it's right to call the radqueer community a cult or cult-like... I am not here to answer that question but I feel like I relate to ex-cult members in some ways. But yeah I think it'll be better for me (and everyone else I interact with) if I work on myself and heal. Preferably offline or at least not on social media.

I hope paraphiles and transID individuals can find peace/joy/euphoria/fulfillment/love/community/autonomy/etc away from the people who seek to normalize child abuse & animal abuse.

Rules/etc for interacting with my ocs/aus + Art requests

I'm okay with anons wanting specific anon names e.g. an anon referring to themselves with an emoji/name. But also anons keep in mind since its anon I will not know if someone else tries to type in anon under your name. So if something happens I cannot be sure if it was you or not, (e.g. someone using your anon name and saying something offensive)

If asks are open, but request aren't it means you can still ask my ocs/aus things, and I will draw responses. BUT it just means I will not be drawing anything BUT my ocs/aus!! If I draw anyone interacting with them, it will be them interacting with an anon! (moots/friends might be an exception to this, but it's 50/50)

I’m okay with people making fanart/writings of my ocs/aus! I’m also okay with people drawing their ocs/sonas/aus with mine too ^-^! Feel free to tag me in this stuff, and even send in an ask/dm saying you've tagged me in something. (Please keep it sfw since minors follow my account. If your unsure if I’d be okay with a specific art/writing ask first and I can let you know.) 

I’m okay with people shipping characters with mine (providing it's not a problematic ship, and that it’s a ship between adults). I’m also okay with self-shipping with my characters ^-^ feel free to tag me I’d love to see any artwork/writing. (But keep in mind the ship will not be canon for my ocs/aus. When interacting via asks please state which characters you're interacting with!!!! And when it's an au version e.g I have two aus so far you can’t just say ‘for your au Nightmare’ as I will not know which Nightmare it’s for!!!! So please state which lol. (If a specific version of the character isn't stated I will just guess, and even if I can tell who It's for I will just purposely get it wrong till u eventually correct yourself or just delete the asks.) Just put it anywhere in the ask even if it's in brackets at the end of the ask saying which character it’s for.

I’m super okay with dumb asks! I’m also okay with people sending ideas/head canons/etc about my ocs/aus! I will try to include doodles and such if I have ideas on stuff to draw. I would love these actually, even if it’s semi unrelated to anything on my blog just as long as it’s utmv related lmaoo. 

I also treat my sona more like an oc, so feel free to send my sona asks and such too. Even though I treat my sona as an oc, I DON’T want anyone shipping anyone with my sona, it will make me a little uncomfortable. UNLESS I have mentioned I don’t mind my sona being shipped with a certain character e.g. me self-shipping my sona with characters, I’d kindly ask people to refrain from shipping my sona with characters. 

Please do NOT use my characters/aus/etc for your own roleplays. It makes me feel uncomfortable to think that someone would be using my characters/designs. To add to this do NOT use my characters/aus for AI sites (e.g. character AI), same reason as the rp, and also AI art/etc bad.

To see if requests are open, look at the bio under the icon/title on my blog, and it says there if they’re open or not. Or I may announce in a random post if they’re open or closed.

Requests on this blog must me utmv related. I’m okay drawing utmv ocs. I may also do aus that have a slight crossover with other stuff, e.g. drawing characters as Pokémon or something. (Keep in mind I most likely won’t draw anything complex so if you give me a detailed character chances are the ask is getting deleted)

I’m also slow at art, so don’t expect it right away/within a few hours. I also will mainly do doodles, but sometimes I will lineart/colour it too if I like the drawing. If I really like it, I might turn it into a fully shaded drawing lol.

I also have the right to not do your request, so don’t get mad/sad about it please. This is free art, so I get to choose what I want to draw. Don't come into my asks/dms bitching about something e.g. not doing a request, not drawing your character right, not tagging something correctly, you're not special and idgaf and I will block u. If requests are closed, I will only be drawing my ocs/aus!!! I will not be drawing anyone else's characters!!! (there may be exceptions to this such as if I’m friends with the person who sent in the ask, or if I think the request is funny enough) Even if requests are closed chances are I will still draw interactions people’s ocs/sonas interacting with my sona. Just because it’s my sona lol. 

You can send in as many requests as you want as well, but as mentioned above I'm slow at art. So be patient with me lol. I don’t mind a lot of requests, but also keep in mind if I feel like you're just using me to get a bunch of free art of your characters I will then delete your asks. (basically if I get more than 2 asks asking for art of your character and just your character. I’m fine with art of them interacting with my characters and stuff since it includes my ocs/aus, and I'm also fine with just drawing a bunch of art of a normal fandom character e.g. Nightmare/my interpretation of Nightmare. But if I feel you're pushing your luck with multiple artworks of your oc (even with my ocs in it) I won't draw you anything more. The exception to this is my friends, but I will be VERY slow with art.)

If drawing a character of yours I’d prefer to be sent a reference. As I will not go looking for one (Unless they're in/linked on your pinned post)!!!!!!! I will accept dms to send refs over, and I will also accept links to posts (though with links I will only accept from mutuals/people I've talked too!!!!!) If no ref is given you can describe something e.g. (insert character) but with wings or something like that. But keep in mind since no ref is given I may have creative freedom over it given your description. You can also just give me a prompt like the one said and let me do what I want. 

I won’t draw ns fw as minors follow me. I also won’t draw gore (for a request), I might draw blood but nothing crazy.

hey guys! i’ve got a bit of a (big) life update for y’all.

unfortunately, i’m having to figure out a new living situation pretty unexpectedly. my roommate and i talked, and basically he’s wanting to live on his own again. so i’ve got about two months to get moved out of here and find a new place. (i’m working on it! luckily i recently reconnected with a friend who’s a real estate agent, so who knows - maybe i’ll get my own damn house >:D)

basically, this means (and i am so so so SO sorry about this) it’s going to be a while before i can get a lot of these charm orders out.

i’m going to try my best to get out what i can in-between packing, but don’t be surprised if your order takes several months to ship. again, i’m so sorry - i know it took me ages to even get them listed.

i had intended to start printing and eventually list my new halloween dca sticker design by october first at the absolute latest. but with the whole “ideally be moved out within two months at the latest, earlier if possible,�� thing, that may not be happening.

i’m still gonna try, though!!!!! i’ll try and save my sticker making things for later in the packing process, and maybe try and get that stuff figured out before the end of this month. we’ll see if i can juggle it with everything else - i really think it’s dependent on me catching up on my other orders, first.

in addition to all of this, i’m still out of work on FMLA for my back problems. on the bright side - my appointment is FINALLY coming up!!! yippee!!! but that also means i have to take a lot of breaks from packing and working on stickers because… back hurty. but it ALSO means i have the time to do all this stuff, breaks included, because i’m not working. so…silver linings, am i right? :D

also just wanna say thank you to everybody again - i have made SO many friends in this fandom, and i’ve had a blast being able to make stickers and finally charms!!!! half the reason i’ve been able to bounce back so quick after getting this news the other day is because i’ve already had some of my pals who saw my kofi post messaging me and wishing me well. and the money from the charm orders is gonna help ease the moving/shopping process a lot, so - thank you all so much!!!!

- Things like this sort of don’t usually come up in conversation all too often so chances are, you neglect to tell him about your condition until you’re forced to pull out of school for a month or; if you’re homeschooled, forget to contact him for a while/miss a date.

- In the days leading up to your disappearance, he’ll most likely notice that you’re acting more “out of it” than usual. He’ll chalk it up to you not sleeping well or starting to come down with something but a part of him will worry a lot more than what shows on his face.

- Obviously, his mother must have been depressed or had some sort of mental illness and in cases like hers, it isn’t uncommon for victims to sleep a lot or seem constantly tired and out of sorts. So initially, he fears that you’re experiencing something similar, that is, if you don’t tell him.

- He isn’t above showing up to people homes uninvited or unannounced so expect a visit either that same day or the next.

- So he arrives at your house, or rather; more specifically, your window, and you explain what’s going on.

- The “serious” part of your disease scares him, even though he may not verbally express it. Are you just gonna up and not exist anymore one day? Be gone just as quick as his mother? If its not terminal then you can see the weight lift off his shoulders as soon as you tell him.

- He certainly has some attachment issues so the idea of having someone who will; almost, always be right where he left them is sort of right up his alley.

- An “indoor girlfriend” unaware of his misdeeds.... Sounds like a pretty good deal to him.

- He’s never really been one for dates anyway. He’s not a big people person so it doesn’t bother him that most of your time together is spent confined to your room or couch. The more privacy and less human interaction the better.

- He’ll stop at 7/11 and the movie rental place after school ends to stock up on films and snacks for the two of you to enjoy together.

- Jokes to somewhat cheer you up even if they can’t make you feel better. He enjoys being able to make you smile, even if it’s just a weak one.

- Making out or ...other things. He doesn’t mind doing most of the work as long as you’re willing and wanting.

- He’s prone to sneaking in through windows so you don't have to worry about opening the door for him. Just don’t be too scared when you wake up to him sitting at your desk and screwing around with your stuff. You’ll get used to it ...hopefully.

- Occasionally, as weird as it may sound, he’ll take some time to watch you sleep before he starts doing his own thing. He just thinks you’re really pretty.

- He’ll just hang out in your room and do whatever comes to mind, messing with your stuff, doodling, reading your books, etc.

- You think he’s above napping with you? J.D. probably doesn’t sleep at night 90% of the time so he’s perfectly fine with coming over and cuddling with you while he catches some much needed Z’s.

- Laying your head on his chest while he tells you about his day or whatever he’s done recently. He likes hearing about what you’ve dreamed or thought about; he thinks its a fair exchange.

- You probably fall asleep halfway through his story and he either just begins to trail off or stops his sentence and looks down at you. A million thoughts race through his mind but the most overwhelming one is how much he’s grown to love you.

- He can be blunt and not the most understanding but he tries and you appreciate that much. Not many people; especially not your age, try or have tried.

- If you do take medication then he’ll randomly remember to remind you; usually with a “you take your meds and all that shit?”, or find a little bit of amusement in the alarm that you set to take it. He just thinks it’s kinda funny to see you, like clockwork, rustle around in your drawer for or reach for your pill bottle.

- He tries to make sure you don’t overexert yourself. J.D. doesn’t let anyone or anything hurt you, even if it’s something in your body. He’ll always seem to show up when you start to feel off or furrow his brows and suggest that you sit down for a little while when he feels as though you’ve done more than you should.

- Feeling better or more energetic? He’ll make sure you don’t push yourself too hard but he’ll take you out on a “real date” to celebrate.

- No other guys for him to worry about since you stay in your bedroom most of the time? That’s a win right there. You’re sort of like his own personal Rapunzel, huh?

- He himself has his ups and downs; maybe not as prolonged as yours but still, its only fair that he sticks it through with you as you do with him.

- The two of you are perfectly “damaged” for each other. You fit together like two pieces of a puzzle.

2. I love your poses and compositions! They're always so dynamic and unique. Do you have any particular thought process when coming up with illustrations?

Thank you! I will just repeat this answer from my fanbox: When it comes to personal illustrations (whether fan art or original), I tend to muse from the music I listened to. Which is why I often include "BGM" in my posts! Even with my Goretober book, I don't want to try too hard to commit to the set prompts. I like to break myself from the conventional illustrations I have to work with on a daily basis.

TL;DR: I'm pretty much anti-boredom.

4. How did you get into art?

Playing with crayon pencils, doodling at the back of a receipt papers, you know, kid's stuffs. Otherwise, persistence and stubbornness have led me here now today.

5. What did you major in?

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Language and Linguistics.

6. What are your (art) inspirations?

In my younger years, I was most definitely influenced by manga and video games. By the time I got access to the internet, seeing all the independent creators out there, they definitely influenced me from time to time too.

If you're looking for arts recommendation: Check out AKIRA, I love the way they compromised the calligraphy thick brush into their illustrations.

My only most consistent "inspiration" is music. Even the video games and shows, the sole reason why I was so enamored by them was because of the sound design. As I am reaching my 30s, I am finding more experimental music to listen to everyday.I can recommend a ton. For now, I can't stop binging Kamen Rider Zero-One OSTs.It's on spotify!! Wow!! 7. Do you have any anatomy resources, figurine/mannequin for drawing recommendation?

I bought this Anatomy-kun and Anatomy-chan series just a few months ago! All four of these costed like $25 from a Chinese storefront. I hope you can find a good price, depends on your local store and such. They help me the most in positioning characters in different perspective and angle!

For Anatomy book, I got this one: Anatomy for the Artists by Sarah Simblet. [Store Link].

I'd say my anatomy observation isn't the most accurate out there. I prefer to draw body parts which are considered attractive to me (yeah).

8. Typically, are you more likely to draw with no idea in mind and have that turn into an illustration, or do you go into illustrations with a goal in mind from the start? which is more enjoyable?

It depends!

In commissions, I'd have first to memorize the information given to me, and then coordinate it into my already prior knowledge of the topic. It's a fun challenge for me to work with external direction!

With personal arts, this is also 50/50 in terms of "go wild" vs "work with intention". I can also definitely change my mind in mid-progress, scrap and redo everything over. Either method requires Patience, I don't see which one is considered more enjoyable to me (laughs).

This is also why I'd have to flat out refuse request commission of my typical "sketch page", or "just a rough sketch!", usually refer to my typical personal doodles. It is difficult to price something that is considerably spontaneous in nature. I don't set any certain standards when doodling for myself too. So um, even if they look "so easy" in the audience's eyes, they're... actually... not easy to make.

TL;DR Sometimes I go head empty no thought AND sometimes I want to draw with a structure.

9. Do you have plans to develop your original stories/ideas into anything?

I don't have any plan to develop my original projects into anything yet. I appreciate there is a tiny crowd that keeps an eye on them though!!

10. I've noticed you disabled most reply/message methods on tumblr and twitter. I assumed you might not like it, or something must've happened to you.

Yeah so basically I just quit social media. I've tried to come up with several explanations (or excuses? (ง ´͈౪`͈)ว ), the only consistent reasons are:

- I have zero energy. - Mental health weird. - Is in constant self-quarantine and not touching as much grass as I should.

Friends would come reach me out to ask "why? what happened?" out of concerns. And it'd be, too incorrect to say "oh no nothing happened!!". But, yeah, apparently, right now, having an offline hobby is actually more emotionally rewarding. Eh, on a side note-

11. Do you post your art right away after completion? Or do you prefer to wait for awhile before posting? (Do you collect your arts from a different times before posting?)

With my years of realizing how I'd notice a million mistakes after posting, I prefer to Not post art after completion anymore.

It took a bit of self-discipline, and a private discord server for me to upload drawings I've finished in real-time. It does help a lot! Especially with large paintings that I cannot finish in one-sitting. I totally recommend you to create some sort of private blog platform in which you can keep in check with your progress. Discord server works for me because of how easily searchable it is. I can organize on-going projects in directory, and when I'm done with them, they can be exported with an app called "ExportChatExporter".

Being able to archive things... feels really good....

As of how I operate now with Patreon, Fanbox and Gumroad ebooks. Yes, I do prefer to post collage of drawings I've completed in different times. And these platforms suit me best. With celebratory (fan) arts, I did have to draw them prior to posting date, and sampled and then scheduled the publishing on different platforms. My apologies if it seemed like I was online when my posts were live (lmao), I only check on my posts once I start to schedule another one again.

12. Are you into any video game lately?

On the top of my head. the games I've managed to finish (last year) were Red Dead Redemption 2, Life is Strange 2, Hades, Obra Dinn, and some [redacted] ero games.

Right now I'm glued to Dont Starve (Together), and slowly going through Blasphemous.

13. Been a long time fan of yours but has there ever been times where you wanted to stop drawing?

I thought a lot about this question, and I don't know how to answer this genuinely without sounding grim.

I always have a difficult relationship with arts. One example was around summer last year, I'd break down crying in front of my friends how I'd like to quit drawing altogether, find a job related to my degree instead. Another example is around earlier this year, I reached out to a complete stranger that... went under really difficult circumstances with their arts. We're friends now!! Although we didn't get to find any solutions to our original problem (laughs).

These days I limit myself to post online, and I may one day stop posting arts altogether. I'm at peace with that idea now, I think.

At the very least, I never run out of things to draw.

- Hilda is just so much fun to be with. She always knows how to help you relax- perhaps even a little too much at times. She knows the best spots to lay out a blanket for a nap or a snack on campus, and all kinds of great local places to shop. If you're the type to enjoy some, er, plant life, if you catch my meaning, she's always got a great movie or album to enjoy during a smoke sesh. That said, she's also super-low pressure about what you choose to partake in with her. She figures that relationships are supposed to be fun, so there's no point in sweating the small stuff.

- She loves to take you shopping and dress you up. Hilda has a savvy sense of style that blends classic pieces with modern trends (and she's scary good at knowing which trends will pass and which will stick around longer), so she'll take any chance she can get to pick out a cute ensemble for you.

- It can be hard to nail down her more serious feelings and perspectives on things, including your relationship. In a strange way, being with her is so relaxing and enjoyable that it sometimes feels like she's just goofing off and isn't genuinely committed to you. - Your friends and family absolutely love Ashe when they get to meet him, and they probably started rooting for you two to get together long before he actually got up the courage to ask you out. You'll be study buddies and probably in a couple extra-curriculars for a looong while before the mutual attraction becomes too conspicuous and frankly too awkward to ignore. Once you start dating though, he's super sweet and attentive, always checking in with you after a big test or when you've been out late to make sure you're alright.

- When he messages you, he takes his time considering how he wants to word things, and he's more the type to send you one solid paragraph, rather than several shorter messages. He also likes to send you photos throughout his day when he passes a beautiful or interesting flower, or meets a dog out on a walk or some such thing. Sometimes, if you've been too busy to see each other or one of you is traveling, he'll shyly ask for you to send him a selfie, and when he sees you, he just sits in his bed staring at you with a huge smile on his face, his heart absolutely fluttering with how lucky he feels to have you in his life.

- He'll lend you books with the margins just full of notes, with passages that he thought were interesting highlighted, and little doodled hearts around sections that made him think of you. He could spend hours trading ideas and headcanons with you about your mutual favorites, and he even enjoys when your ideas are different or even contrary to his. He finds having someone to bounce ideas off of like this just helps him appreciate the depth and nuance of a story that much more.
