Sirius had gotten very good at distracting himself over the years - during the war it had come in handy as he could supply a little bit of levity to the people around him. But it came at a cost, and sometimes pushing it down only overwhelmed him later. But still, he had been trying not to think about his broken family tonight, and his friends had been a welcome distraction, until he found himself alone on the couch, taking a small break.
He had poured another drink with a sigh, and when Dorcas sat down he sent her a small smile. "No thoughts," Sirius answered easily, although there was a good chance she wouldn't buy it. "Just vibes." He clinked his glass against hers before taking a big sip.
When: Daisy and Tilden's house party Where: living room Who: Dorcas and Sirius @siriblk
Tonight was exactly what Dorcas had needed. It felt good to feel normal again with the people that she loved the most. It had been so long since she had been able to let loose and just have fun with these people. The war had taken so much from them all, and she was tired of it. Maybe tonight could be a fresh start.
Dorcas needed a break from dancing, so she extricated herself from the group and made her way towards the couch. She spotted Sirius sitting alone, and immediately made a beeline for her friend. She sat down next to him, cup of firewhiskey in hand, and glanced over at him. "Sickle for your thoughts?" She offered.

Kitty smiled at the company - and it was genuine. She welcomed it, truly enjoying each and every one of their fans. Not that her sisters didn't, but between the three of them, Kitty had definitely always been the most social and extroverted. It was probably a big part of the reason she'd fallen into the position of face of the band quite naturally - they'd never even really discussed it. Plus, she was the one that could sing.
"Thank you, it's different, isn't it?" She tilted her head as she considered it, lowering her voice almost as if it were a secret. "Bit weird, but I think I quite like it." Kitty laughed softly, shaking her head a bit. "You know, I might, actually. I hadn't before but.... this is kinda fun."
She took another sip and let loose a satisfied sigh. "I'm Kitty, by the way."
She loved her sisters - more than anything; she wouldn't do this with anyone else - but after touring for months on end with only them for company, it was nice to be home and back by herself in her small little London flat. After all, no matter how well they got along, girls were girls.
So when Rosmerta had asked if she wanted to come play at the Broomsticks - a small, lowkey show - she had certainly asked if they wanted to join, but was secretly glad they had declined. So she'd grabbed her acoustic guitar and done it herself. It was a good look for the band, anyway, deviating slightly from their norm.
Kitty had taken a break, sitting at the end of the bar and enjoying a glass of whiskey (on the rocks, of course) for a couple of minutes before she had to get back at it.

Andromeda did her best to avoid the corridor. Somedays were easier than others. This day was not one of those days. Instead, her preferred navigation method was blocked off by some unsightly prank she could only assume was done by some Gryffindor hooligan who had decided to disturb the peace instead of attending their classes. Now, Andromeda was being walked into despite her best efforts of dodging the onslaught of students. She was able to keep ahold of half of her book, the others scattered.
With a defeated huff, Andromeda knelt down to pick them up and knew she would be walking into class late. Though, she paused for a moment and looked up at an unfamiliar voice. "Um," Andromeda hesitated. She was unsure if this was a person who she would be allowed to associate with. Anyone not in Slytherin was such a blur. "If it doesn't take up too much of your time."
who : @blackestrose
where: the charms corridor
The corridors were busy, packed with younger students who were scurrying around looking for their classrooms or classmates. Dorcas was waiting by the side, for things to calm down. Sure, she'd be late for class but late was better than trampled. As the crowds passed by, Dorcas noticed a gap and was just about to take the opportunity when she caught the glimpse of some levitating books floating by. Followed by another stack nestled in a woman's arms. A nightmarish situation in such a busy area, Dorcas approached Andromeda.
"Do you need help with these?" She gestured to the books.
