"Thought I'd grace you with my presence, yeah." Sirius teased back, nudging him with a playful wink. He knew he'd seen little of his other friends that night so far - but now he was trying to make the rounds and have a drink or two (or five) with his friends.
Sirius eyed the pixie warily, but laughed anyway as he gave Dirk one more squeeze before taking his arm back - he needed it to take his shot, anyway. A contented sigh later, he arched an eyebrow. "Never thought I'd have reason to be jealous of a pixie."
Sirius had lost Mary, but last time he'd seen her she'd been with Marlene, so he was only slightly worried about it. He stopped off at the bar to refill his cup, grabbing two shots and holding them between the fingers of his free hand as he turned back around, scanning the room until he found who he was looking for.
"Hey stranger," He said in Dirk's ear, bringing his arm around the top of his shoulder. "Got you something." He offered the shots, one for Dirk and one for himself.

He followed her dutifully through the house, not sure where exactly she was leading him, but not exactly caring, either. He found himself in the bedroom after a moment, and was almost instantly bombarded by the animals - they tended to gravitate toward him, probably recognizing the similar part in him.
It was amazing how much simply closing the door drowned out the rest of the party - and he wondered briefly if there was a charm over the bedroom. The quiet helped him focus, he was not too drunk, as he had promised to get Mary home, but it wasn't Sirius' strong suit when he was stone cold sober, truth be told.
"Yeah..." He agreed easily, not sure where she was going with that, but happy to be along for the ride. Sirius smiled at her, splaying his fingers so that hers could slip between as she grabbed his hand.
"Once or twice." He laughed, trailing his fingertips up the underside of her arms as she lifted them up. It was hard to control himself, with her against him like this, and he dropped his head to her shoulder with a breathy sigh, swallowing hard.
His hands found their way back to her hips, barely grazing her sides as they went, and then she had turned around and he found himself nodding, not even completely sure what she'd asked but knowing it didn't matter - he'd give her whatever she wanted.

Sirius was glad to be here, and especially glad to be with Mary. If she hadn't insisted on taking him with her, he'd have ended up here eventually, but probably sulked a bit longer at home beforehand. But now, with her hand in his and pulling him along, she was all he had thoughts for.
He smiled widely at her, hoping that was enough to tell her he was also glad he did - the music and other guests were so loud he didn't feel like shouting it at her. He grabbed her waist with one hand, holding his drink aloft over her shoulder in the other as not to spill it on her, and pulled her close, her back against his chest as he danced with her, following her body with his own.

Sirius had gotten very good at distracting himself over the years - during the war it had come in handy as he could supply a little bit of levity to the people around him. But it came at a cost, and sometimes pushing it down only overwhelmed him later. But still, he had been trying not to think about his broken family tonight, and his friends had been a welcome distraction, until he found himself alone on the couch, taking a small break.
He had poured another drink with a sigh, and when Dorcas sat down he sent her a small smile. "No thoughts," Sirius answered easily, although there was a good chance she wouldn't buy it. "Just vibes." He clinked his glass against hers before taking a big sip.
When: Daisy and Tilden's house party Where: living room Who: Dorcas and Sirius @siriblk
Tonight was exactly what Dorcas had needed. It felt good to feel normal again with the people that she loved the most. It had been so long since she had been able to let loose and just have fun with these people. The war had taken so much from them all, and she was tired of it. Maybe tonight could be a fresh start.
Dorcas needed a break from dancing, so she extricated herself from the group and made her way towards the couch. She spotted Sirius sitting alone, and immediately made a beeline for her friend. She sat down next to him, cup of firewhiskey in hand, and glanced over at him. "Sickle for your thoughts?" She offered.

Mary had lost track of how many drinks she had consumed, nor did she care that the skirt she was wearing sat right under her ass, tired of continuously pulling it down. The only two thoughts in her head were to drink more and dance, and that was why she had pulled Sirius up to dance with her; knowing that they were both in the same mindset - she hoped.
"I's glad you came with me." Her body moved to the beat of the music, pushing body back into his, swaying their hips together at the same time. If she was more coherent, she knew it was hurting him that he wasn't at his cousins wedding, but he was too god for them and she promised herself that she'd make sure he had fun and forgot about it.

Sirius draped himself over Daisy with a grin, clinking her cup against his and taking a sip before trying to assemble his features into a more serious expression, though he wasn't sure how successful he was. "Daisy, I will pay you double to tattoo me right now."

Sirius had a drink in both hands and a wide smile on his face - it was getting easier and easier to forget the latest slight from his family. A lifetime of practicing had made it second nature, and as he spotted Remus across the room, the Malfoys were the last thing on his mind.
He was still halfway away when he shouted "Rem!", voice booming over the other noise. He made his way to his friend, knocking one of his drinks against Remus'. "Did you see the witch in the light up skirt? I need one."

It wasn't a room he usually went into - actually avoided most times, if he were being honest - but he was looking for an old wand holster that had been passed down through generations of Blacks. He knew his mother had held onto it with the thought of passing it on to Regulus, ironic really, since he was not technically a Black, but he was the better son. Still, Sirius doubted Reggie would mind much now, and it would be a nice flare for his image as a duelist if he were to incorporate it into his dueling clothes.
He doubly had not been expecting to find the drawing room already occupied, and he considered simply leaving - old habits do die hard, after all. But he didn't, instead choosing to come sit next to Regulus, crossing his legs and wrapping his arms loosely around them. "Doing some soul searching, brother?"
Where: 12 Grimmauld Place, Drawing Room Who: Regulus & @siriblk When: Present in-game day
Regulus sat on the floor of the drawing room, looking up to the tapestry. There had been a lot on his mind lately. He wondered how disappointed his parents would be with him, if perhaps they'd blame the fact that he wasn't their actual blood for his traitorus behaviour. He'd never felt like an outcast for that, though, so perhaps they would have simply disowned him the same as they had with Sirius. Ever since the two of them passed, Regulus couldn't help but wonder who his biological family was. Would he be the same person if they had raised him? Was it nature or nurture? Questions he'd never have the answers to, he supposed.
Hearing the doorknob rattle, Regulus looked up to see who was entering the room. Three years ago he would have stood up and pretended he wasn't pondering the what if's. But things were different now. He was different now. Locking eyes with Sirius, Regulus tensed up slightly. Things were definitely on the mend between the two of them, but serious topics were difficult for the two of them. He wondered if Sirius would engage in a conversation. "Hey." He greeted his brother before looking back to the family tapestry.

The worst thing any of his friends had done, was to give Sirius Black a key to their home. Did Sirius have boundaries? Yes. Were they the same as what others might deem appropriate? Debatable. For emergencies only is what he had been warned when Peter had handed it over - well, this was an emergency.
He made no attempt to be quiet as he entered, and quickly found his friend on the couch, seemingly relaxing after his now very long work day. "Come on!" He chided, coming to stand right in front of the other, and held out his hand. "We're pre-gaming. Don't make me pick you up."

"Because you ordered it, duh." He teased her, winking as she narrowed her eyes. Sirius laughed easily, nudging her ever so slightly with his elbow.
When she grabbed his hand, he swear he felt his heart skip a beat - not that it was out of the usual, but it always had that effect when she caught him off guard. If only Mary knew the effect she had on him. He tried not to think about it. Sitting next to her, he angled himself to face her, tilting his head with a fond smile. "Well, that was an easy sell." He tapped his fingers against the table. "I think I might do the shepard's pie - did you hear that storm last night? Got me craving one."
The smile that took over her features warming him from the inside out. He was glad to be easily forgiven, but still, he felt bad. "Oh, stop it." Sirius responded, waving away her concerns. It was a serious topic - but not one for right now, so he kept his tone light and playful. "You're perfect just the way you are."
Sirius tucked his arm slightly more against his slide as she slipped hers through, making sure she couldn't get away. "I make no promises, Mar. Your ordering skills are simply no match for me." He grabbed the door as she opened it, ushering them both inside and immediately angling his steps to the back - he would do whatever she asked.
"My lady." He gently unlinked their arms, letting her slide into the booth first. "Did you notice the sign out front that said the specials? Firewhiskey glazed pork with screaming potatoes."

He was late - he felt terrible, knowing she was waiting for him. It wasn't often that Sirius made actual, honest to god plans with his friends, and this was why. As much growing up as he'd done in the past few years, promptness would likely never be his strong suit.
He jogged the rest of the way down the street from the apparition point, slowing as he saw Mary outside and he put an apologetic half grin on his features. "I know, I know - I'm sorry. Let me make it up to you - I'll buy you a drink. Or dessert. Or a drink and dessert."
